"IndicationAndUsage": "Citalopram oral solution is indicated for the treatment of depression. The efficacy of citalopram oral solution in the treatment of depression was established in 4 to 6 week, controlled trials of outpatients whose diagnosis corresponded most closely to the DSM-III and DSM-III-R category of major depressive disorder (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY). A major depressive episode (DSM-IV) implies a prominent and relatively persistent (nearly every day for at least 2 weeks) depressed or dysphoric mood that usually interferes with daily functioning, and includes at least five of the following nine symptoms: depressed mood, loss of interest in usual activities, significant change in weight and/or appetite, insomnia or hypersomnia, psychomotor agitation or retardation, increased fatigue, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, slowed thinking or impaired concentration, a suicide attempt or suicidal ideation. The antidepressant action of citalopram oral solution in hospitalized depressed patients has not been adequately studied. The efficacy of citalopram oral solution in maintaining an antidepressant response for up to 24 weeks following 6 to 8 weeks of acute treatment was demonstrated in two placebo-controlled trials (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY). Nevertheless, the physician who elects to use citalopram oral solution for extended periods should periodically re-evaluate the long-term usefulness of the drug for the individual patient.",
"Description": "Citalopram Oral Solution, USP is an orally administered selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) with a chemical structure unrelated to that of other SSRI's or of tricyclic, tetracyclic, or other available antidepressant agents. In life-threatening situations, transfusion of appropriate blood products and other emergency measures may be required. <IndicationAndUsage>Citalopram oral solution is indicated for the treatment of depression. Nevertheless, the physician who elects to use citalopram oral solution for extended periods should periodically re-evaluate the long-term usefulness of the drug for the individual patient.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Citalopram Oral Solution, USP is an orally administered selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) with a chemical structure unrelated to that of other SSRI's or of tricyclic, tetracyclic, or other available antidepressant agents. Citalopram hydrobromide is a racemic bicyclic phthalane derivative designated (±)-1-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-1-(4-fluorophenyl)-1,3-dihydroisobenzofuran-5-carbonitrile, HBr with the following structural formula. The molecular formula is C20H22BrFN2O and its molecular weight is 405.30. Citalopram hydrobromide, USP occurs as a fine, white to off-white powder. Citalopram hydrobromide is sparingly soluble in water and soluble in ethanol. Citalopram is available as an oral solution. Citalopram Oral Solution, USP contains citalopram hydrobromide, USP equivalent to 2 mg/mL citalopram base. It also contains the following inactive ingredients: methylparaben, peppermint stick, propylene glycol, propylparaben, purified water, and sorbitol solution.</Description>

<IndicationAndUsage>Aminocaproic acid is useful in enhancing hemostasis when fibrinolysis contributes to bleeding. In life-threatening situations, transfusion of appropriate blood products and other emergency measures may be required. Fibrinolytic bleeding may frequently be associated with surgical complications following heart surgery (with or without cardiac bypass procedures) and portacaval shunt; hematological disorders such as amegakaryocytic thrombocytopenia (accompanying aplastic anemia); acute and life-threatening abruptio placentae; hepatic cirrhosis; and neoplastic disease such as carcinoma of the prostate, lung, stomach, and cervix. Urinary fibrinolysis, usually a normal physiological phenomenon, may contribute to excessive urinary tract fibrinolytic bleeding associated with surgical hematuria (following prostatectomy and nephrectomy) or nonsurgical hematuria (accompanying polycystic or neoplastic diseases of the genitourinary system). (See Warnings.).</IndicationAndUsage>

<IndicationAndUsage>Desvenlafaxine extended-release tablets, is indicated for the treatment of adults with major depressive disorder (MDD) [ seeClinical Studies (14)].</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Desvenlafaxine extended-release is an extended-release tablet for oral administration that contains desvenlafaxine succinate, a structurally novel SNRI for the treatment of MDD. Desvenlafaxine (O-desmethylvenlafaxine) is the major active metabolite of the antidepressant venlafaxine, a medication used to treat major depressive disorder. Desvenlafaxine is designated RS-4-[2-dimethylamino-1-(1-hydroxycyclohexyl)ethyl]phenol and has the empirical formula of C 16H 25NO 2(free base) and C 16H 25NO 2C 4H 6O 4H 2O (succinate monohydrate). Desvenlafaxine succinate monohydrate has a molecular weight of 399.48. The structural formula is shown below. Desvenlafaxine succinate is a white to off-white powder that is soluble in water. The solubility of desvenlafaxine succinate is pH dependent. Its octanol:aqueous system (at pH 7.0) partition coefficient is 0.21. Desvenlafaxine extended-release is formulated as an extended-release tablet for once-a-day oral administration. Each tablet contains 76 mg or 152 mg of desvenlafaxine succinate equivalent to 50 mg or 100 mg of desvenlafaxine, respectively. Inactive ingredients for the 50 mg tablet and 100 mg tablet consist of hypromellose, hydroxyethyl cellulose, ethyl cellulose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and film coatings, which consists of polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol, talc, titanium dioxide, and iron oxides.</Description>
