"Description": "Acyclovir is a synthetic nucleoside analogue active against herpes viruses. Acyclovir ointment USP 5% is a formulation for topical administration. Each gram of acyclovir ointment USP 5% contains 50 mg of acyclovir in a polyethylene glycol (PEG) base. Acyclovir is a white, crystalline powder with the molecular formula C8H11N5O3 and a molecular weight of 225. The maximum solubility in water at 37°C is 2.5 mg/mL. The pka's of acyclovir are 2.27 and 9.25. The chemical name of acyclovir is 2-amino-1,9-dihydro-9-[(2-hydroxyethoxy)methyl]-6H-purin-6-one; it has the following structural formula:."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Morphine Sulfate Oral Solution 20 mg/mL is indicated for the relief of acute and chronic pain in opioid-tolerant adult patients.",
"Description": "Morphine Sulfate Oral Solution is an opioid agonist, available in the following concentration for oral administration. 100 mg per 5 mL (20 mg/mL): Each 1 mL of oral solution contains 20 mg of morphine sulfate, USP (equivalent to 15 mg morphine). The chemical name is 7,8-didehydro-4,5 alpha- epoxy-17 methyl-morphinan-3,6 alpha-diol sulfate (2:1) (salt) pentahydrate. The molecular weight is 758.83 . Its molecular formula is(C 17H 21NO 3) 2H 2SO 45H 2O, and it has the following chemical structure. Morphine sulfate, USP is a white to off-white crystalline powder or a fine white to light yellow powder. It is soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol, but is practically insoluble in chloroform or ether. The octanol:water partition coefficient of morphine is 1.42 at physiologic pH and the pKa is 7.9 for the tertiary nitrogen (the majority is ionized at pH 7.4). For the 100 mg per 5 mL (20 mg/mL) concentration (only for opioid tolerant adults): Each 5 mL of oral solution contains 100 mg of morphine sulfate, USP and the following inactive ingredients: citric acid, edetate disodium, glycerin, sodium benzoate, sorbitol solution, and purified water. May contain sodium citrate for pH adjustment."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Sertraline hydrochloride tablets are indicated for the treatment of the following [See Clinical Studies ( 14)] : : 1 Major depressive disorder (MDD), 2 Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), 3 Panic disorder (PD), 4 Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), 5 Social anxiety disorder (SAD), 6 Premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD).",
"Description": "Sertraline hydrochloride tablet USP contains sertraline hydrochloride, an SSRI. Sertraline hydrochloride has a molecular weight of 342.7 and has the following chemical name: (1S-cis)-4-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-N-methyl-1-naphthalenamine hydrochloride. The empirical formula C 17H 17NCl 2HCl is represented by the following structural formula:. Sertraline hydrochloride is white to off white crystalline powder that is sparingly soluble in methanol and dimethyl formamide. Sertraline hydrochloride tablets USP for oral administration contain 28.0 mg, 56.0 mg, and 112.0 mg sertraline hydrochloride equivalent to 25, 50 and 100 mg of sertraline and the following inactive ingredients: Ascorbic acid (in 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg tablets), D&C Yellow #10 (in 25 mg tablet), dibasic calcium phosphate anhydrous, FD&C Blue #1 (in 25 mg tablet), FD&C Blue #2 (in 50 mg tablet), FD&C Red #40 (in 25 mg tablet), hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, iron oxide yellow (in 100 mg tablet), magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium starch glycolate , titanium dioxide and vanillin. Sertraline hydrochloride tablets USP are coated with vanillin flavored film coating material. Vanillin is a flavoring agent that possess vanilla like fragrance."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Carefully consider the potential benefits and risks of ibuprofen tablets and other treatment options before deciding to use ibuprofen. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with individual patient treatment goals (see WARNINGS). Ibuprofen tablets are indicated for relief of the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Ibuprofen tablets are indicated for relief of mild to moderate pain. Ibuprofen tablets are also indicated for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. Controlled clinical trials to establish the safety and effectiveness of ibuprofen tablets in children have not been conducted.",
"Description": "Ibuprofen tablets contain the active ingredient ibuprofen, which is (±)-2-( p-isobutylphenyl) propionic acid. Ibuprofen is a white powder with a melting point of 74-77° C and is very slightly soluble in water (<1 mg/mL) and readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone. The structural formula is represented below:. Ibuprofen, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), is available in 400 mg, 600 mg and 800 mg tablets for oral administration. Inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose 2910, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol 400, pregelatinized starch, povidone k-90, sodium lauryl sulphate, titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Raloxifene hydrochloride tablet, USP is an estrogen agonist/ antagonist indicated for: 1 Treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. (1.1), 2 Reduction in risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. (1.2)., 3 Reduction in risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women at high risk for invasive breast cancer. (1.3).",
"Description": "Raloxifene hydrochloride, USP is an estrogen agonist/antagonist, commonly referred to as a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that belongs to the benzothiophene class of compounds. The chemical structure is. The chemical designation is methanone, [6-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)benzo[b]thien-3-yl]-[4-[2-(1-piperidinyl) ethoxy]phenyl]-, hydrochloride. Raloxifene hydrochloride (HCl) has the empirical formula C28H27NO4SHCl, which corresponds to a molecular weight of 510.05. Raloxifene HCl, USP is an off-white to pale-yellow solid that is very slightly soluble in water. Raloxifene hydrochloride tablets, USP are supplied in a tablet dosage form for oral administration. Each raloxifene hydrochloride tablet contains 60 mg of raloxifene HCl, USP which is the molar equivalent of 55.71 mg of free base. Inactive ingredients include mannitol, crospovidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose, poloxamer 407, magnesium stearate and opadry white (titanium Dioxide, hypromellose 2910 (3cP), hypromellose 2910 (6cP), macrogol/PEG 400 and polysorbate 80)."

"Description": "Tridacaine is comprised of an adhesive material containing 5% lidocaine, USP, which is applied to a white non-woven polyethylene terephthalate (PET) material backing and covered with a transparent PET release liner. The release liner is removed prior to application to the skin. The size of the patch is 10 cm x 14 cm. Lidocaine, USP is chemically designated as acetamide, 2-(diethylamino)-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl), has an octanol:water partition ratio of 43 at pH 7.4, and has the following structure. Each adhesive patch contains 700 mg of lidocaine, USP (50 mg per gram adhesive) in an aqueous base. It also contains the following inactive ingredients: glycerin, D-sorbitol, propylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, urea, sodium polyacrylate, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, gelatin, polyacrylic acid, kaolin, tartaric acid, dihydroxyaluminum aminoacetate, methylparaben, propylparaben, and edetate disodium."

Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP, 0.025% contains: 0.25 mg of Triamcinolone Acetonide per gram in a base containing Emulsifying Wax, Cetyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Sorbitol Solution, Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol and Purified Water. "Description": "Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP contains Triamcinolone Acetonide [Pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione, 9-fluoro-11,21-dihydroxy-16,17-[(1-methylethylidene)bis- (oxy)]-, (11β,16α)-], with the empirical formula C24H31FO6 and molecular weight 434.50. CAS 76-25-5. Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP, 0.025% contains: 0.25 mg of Triamcinolone Acetonide per gram in a base containing Emulsifying Wax, Cetyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Sorbitol Solution, Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol and Purified Water. Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP, 0.1% contains: 1 mg of Triamcinolone Acetonide per gram in a base containing Emulsifying Wax, Cetyl Alcohol, Isopropyl Palmitate, Sorbitol Solution, Glycerin, Lactic Acid, Benzyl Alcohol and Purified Water. "Description": "The topical corticosteroids constitute a class of primarily synthetic steroids used as anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic agents. Triamcinolone Acetonide Ointment USP contains Triamcinolone Acetonide [Pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione,9-fluoro-11,21-dihydroxy-16,17-[(1-methylethylidene)bis-(oxy)]-, (11β,16α)-], with the molecular formula C24H31FO6 and molecular weight 434.51. "Description": "Betamethasone Valerate Cream, Ointment and Lotion contain betamethasone valerate USP, a synthetic adrenocorticosteroid for dermatologic use. Betamethasone, an analog of prednisolone, has a high degree of glucocorticoid activity and a slight degree of mineralocorticoid activity. Betamethasone valerate is a white to practically white odorless crystalline powder practically insoluble in water, freely soluble in acetone and chloroform, soluble in alcohol, and slightly soluble in benzene and ether. Chemically, it is 9-fluoro-11β,17,21-trihydroxy-16β-methylpregna-1, 4-diene-3,20-dione 17-valerate. The structural formula is:. Each gram of the 0.1% Cream contains 1.2 mg betamethasone valerate (equivalent to 1 mg betamethasone) in a soft, white, hydrophilic cream of purified water, mineral oil, white petrolatum, polyoxyl 20 cetostearyl ether, cetostearyl alcohol, monobasic sodium phosphate and phosphoric acid or sodium hydroxide (to adjust pH, if required); chlorocresol is present as a preservative. Each gram of the 0.1% Ointment contains 1.2 mg betamethasone valerate (equivalent to 1 mg betamethasone) in an ointment base of white petrolatum and mineral oil. Each gram of the 0.1% Lotion contains 1.2 mg betamethasone valerate (equivalent to 1 mg betamethasone) in a vehicle of isopropyl alcohol and water slightly thickened with carbomer 934P. "IndicationAndUsage": "Primary skin infections: Impetigo contagiosa, superficial folliculitis, ecthyma, furunculosis, sycosis barbae, and pyoderma gangrenosum. Secondary skin infections: Infectious eczematoid dermatitis, pustular acne, pustular psoriasis, infected seborrheic dermatitis, infected contact dermatitis (including poison ivy), infected excoriations, and bacterial super-infections of fungal or viral infections. Please Note: Gentamicin sulfate is a bactericidal agent that is not effective against viruses or fungi in skin infections. Gentamicin sulfate is useful in the treatment of infected skin cysts and certain other skin abscesses when preceded by incision and drainage to permit adequate contact between the antibiotic and the infecting bacteria. Good results have been obtained in the treatment of infected stasis and other skin ulcers, infected superficial burns, paronychia, infected insect bites and stings, infected lacerations and abrasions, and wounds from minor surgery. Patients sensitive to neomycin can be treated with gentamicin sulfate, although regular observation of patients sensitive to topical antibiotics is advisable when such patients are treated with any topical antibiotic. Gentamicin Sulfate Ointment helps retain moisture and has been useful in infection on dry eczematous or psoriatic skin. Gentamicin Sulfate Ointment may be used in children over one year of age as well as in adults.",

"Description": "Nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream for dermatologic use contains the antifungal agent nystatin and the synthetic corticosteroid triamcinolone acetonide. Nystatin is a polyene antimycotic obtained from Streptomyces noursei. It is a yellow to light tan powder with a cereal-like odor, very slightly soluble in water, and slightly to sparingly soluble in alcohol. It has a molecular formula of C47H75NO17 and a molecular weight of 926.13. Structural formula. Triamcinolone acetonide is designated chemically as 9-fluoro-11β,16α,17, 21-tetrahydroxypregna-1,4-diene-3, 20-dione cyclic 16, 17-acetal with acetone. The white to cream crystalline powder has a slight odor, is practically insoluble in water, and very soluble in alcohol. It has a molecular formula of C24H31FO6 and a molecular weight of 434.50. Structural formula:. Nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream is a soft, smooth cream having a light yellow to tan color. Each gram of nystatin and triamcinolone acetonide cream USP contains 100,000 USP Nystatin Units and 1 mg of triamcinolone acetonide in a cream base containing polyoxyethylene fatty alcohol ether, white petrolatum, glyceryl monostearate, polyethylene glycol 400 monostearate, sorbitol solution, simethicone emulsion, propylene glycol, aluminum hydroxide gel, polysorbate 60, titanium dioxide, and purified water with benzyl alcohol as a preservative. "Description": "Clotrimazole Cream USP 1% contains clotrimazole, a synthetic antifungal agent having the chemical name {1-(o-Chloro-α, α-diphenylbenzyl)imidazole}; the molecular formula C22H17ClN2; a molecular weight of 344.84; and the structural formula:. Clotrimazole is an odorless, white crystalline substance. It is practically insoluble in water, sparingly soluble in ether and very soluble in polyethylene glycol 400, ethanol and chloroform. Each gram of Clotrimazole cream contains 10 mg clotrimazole, dispersed in a vanishing cream base of sorbitan monostearate, polysorbate 60, cetyl esters wax, cetostearyl alcohol, octyldodecanol, purified water, and benzyl alcohol (1%) as preservative."

"Description": "Fluocinonide Gel USP, 0.05% is intended for topical administration. The active component is the corticosteroid Fluocinonide, which is the 21-acetate ester of fluocinolone acetonide. The chemical name of Fluocinonide is Pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione,21-(acetyloxy)-6,9-difluoro-11-hydroxy-16,17-[(1-methylethylidene)bis(oxy)]-,(6α,11β,16α)-). It has a molecular formula of C26H32F2O7 and a molecular weight of 494.53. It has the following structural formula. Each gram of Fluocinonide Gel USP, 0.05% contains: fluocinonide 0.5 mg in a gel base consisting of propylene glycol, propyl gallate, edetate disodium, and carbomer 980. Sodium hydroxide solution is added to adjust pH, if required. This clear, colorless thixotropic vehicle is greaseless, non-staining and completely water miscible.
