"Description": "RYBELSUS tablets, for oral use, contain semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist. The peptide backbone is produced by yeast fermentation. The main protraction mechanism of semaglutide is albumin binding, facilitated by modification of position 26 lysine with a hydrophilic spacer and a C18 fatty di-acid. Furthermore, semaglutide is modified in position 8 to provide stabilization against degradation by the enzyme dipeptidyl-peptidase 4 (DPP-4). A minor modification was made in position 34 to ensure the attachment of only one fatty di-acid. The molecular formula is C187H291N45O59 and the molecular weight is 4113.58 g/mol. Structural formula. Semaglutide is a white to almost white hygroscopic powder. Each tablet of RYBELSUS contains 3 mg, 7 mg or 14 mg of semaglutide and the following inactive ingredients: magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone and salcaprozate sodium (SNAC)."

"IndicationAndUsage": "TRETTEN, Coagulation Factor XIII A-Subunit (Recombinant), is indicated for routine prophylaxis for bleeding in patients with congenital factor XIII A-subunit deficiency. TRETTEN is not for use in patients with congenital factor XIII B‑subunit deficiency.",
"Description": "TRETTEN, Coagulation Factor XIII A-Subunit (Recombinant), is a recombinant human factor XIII-A2 homodimer composed of two factor XIII (FXIII) A-subunits. The FXIII A-subunit is a 731 amino acid chain with an acetylated N-terminal serine. When FXIII is activated by thrombin, a 37 amino acid peptide is cleaved from the N-terminus of the A‑subunit. TRETTEN is manufactured as an intracellular, soluble protein in yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) production strain containing the episomal expression vector, pD16. It is subsequently isolated by homogenization of cells and purification by several chromatography steps, including hydrophobic interaction and ion exchange chromatography. No human or animal derived products are used in the manufacturing process. TRETTEN is supplied as a sterile, white lyophilized powder in a single-dose vial. Table 1 and Table 2 list the vial content of reconstituted TRETTEN and the diluent, respectively. *Values are given per 3 mL reconstituted TRETTEN. After reconstitution with 3.2 mL sterile water for injection, each vial contains 667-1042 IU/mL of recombinant coagulation factor XIII A-subunit. The reconstituted solution has a pH of approximately 8.0. The formulation contains no preservative and must only be administered intravenously."

"Description": "ESPEROCT is a sterile, preservative-free, non-pyrogenic lyophilized powder for intravenous injection after reconstitution with the provided saline diluent. The active ingredient in ESPEROCT is a recombinant analogue of human coagulation Factor VIII (FVIII) conjugated with a 40-kDa polyethylene glycol (PEG) molecule. ESPEROCT is formulated with the following excipients: sodium chloride, L-histidine, sucrose, polysorbate 80, L-methionine, and calcium chloride. FVIII activity in ESPEROCT is determined using the chromogenic assay described in the European Pharmacopoeia. The activity assignment employs a FVIII reference material that is traceable to the current World Health Organization (WHO) international standard for FVIII concentrate, and evaluated by appropriate methodologies to ensure the accuracy of the results. ESPEROCT is available in single-dose vials that contain nominally 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 3000, 4000, or 5000 IU of FVIII. Each vial of ESPEROCT is labeled with the actual FVIII activity. After reconstitution with the supplied diluent (0.9% saline), each mL of the solution contains approximately 125, 250, 375, 500, 750, 1000, or 1250 IU of FVIII, respectively. The FVIII protein in ESPEROCT is produced in Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells using recombinant DNA technology, and contains a truncated B domain, which is O-glycosylated. The polypeptide part of the molecule has a molecular mass of 166 kDa (calculated excluding post-translational modifications) and represents a heterodimer of a heavy chain and a light chain, which are held together by non-covalent interactions. The recombinant FVIII protein is purified using a series of chromatographic steps, one of which is affinity chromatography, with the use of a monoclonal antibody to selectively isolate the rFVIII from the cell culture medium. The 40-kDa PEG molecule is conjugated to the O-glycan moiety of the B domain using an enzymatic reaction to produce a glycopegylated FVIII (FVIII-PEG). The purification process includes two viral clearance steps, namely detergent treatment for inactivation of enveloped viruses, and 20-nm filtration for removal of enveloped and non-enveloped viruses. No additives of human or animal origin are used during the manufacturing process and formulation of ESPEROCT. In the blood circulation, when FVIII-PEG is activated by thrombin, the B-domain portion with the attached PEG moiety is cleaved off, and the resulting activated FVIII (FVIIIa) is similar in structure and function to native FVIIIa."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Orsythia® (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets, USP) is indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women who elect to use oral contraceptives as a method of contraception. Oral contraceptives are highly effective. Table II lists the typical accidental pregnancy rates for users of combination oral contraceptives and other methods of contraception. The efficacy of these contraceptive methods, except sterilization, the IUD, and Norplant® System, depends upon the reliability with which they are used. Correct and consistent use of methods can result in lower failure rates. Emergency Contraceptive Pills: The FDA has concluded that certain combined oral contraceptives containing ethinyl estradiol and norgestrel or levonorgestrel are safe and effective for use as postcoital emergency contraception. Treatment initiated within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse reduces the risk of pregnancy by at least 75%.9. Lactation Amenorrhea Method: LAM is a highly effective, temporary method of contraception.10. Source: Trussell J. Contraceptive efficacy. In: Hatcher RA, Trussell J, Stewart F, Cates W, Stewart GK, Kowel D, Guest F. Contraceptive Technology: Seventeenth Revised Edition. New York NY: Irvington Publishers; 1998. : 1 Among typical couples who initiate use of a method (not necessarily for the first time), the percentage who experience an accidental pregnancy during the first year if they do not stop use for any other reason., 2 Among couples who initiate use of a method (not necessarily for the first time) and who use it perfectly (both consistently and correctly), the percentage who experience an accidental pregnancy during the first year if they do not stop use for any other reason., 3 Among couples attempting to avoid pregnancy, the percentage who continue to use a method for one year., 4 The percents becoming pregnant in columns (2) and (3) are based on data from populations where contraception is not used and from women who cease using contraception in order to become pregnant. Among such populations, about 89% become pregnant within one year. This estimate was lowered slightly (to 85%) to represent the percent who would become pregnant within one year among women now relying on reversible methods of contraception if they abandoned contraception altogether., 5 Foams, creams, gels, vaginal suppositories, and vaginal film., 6 Cervical mucus (ovulation) method supplemented by calendar in the pre-ovulatory and basal body temperature in the post-ovulatory phases., 7 With spermicidal cream or jelly., 8 Without spermicides., 9 The treatment schedule is one dose within 72 hours after unprotected intercourse, and a second dose 12 hours after the first dose. The FDA has declared the following dosage regimens of oral contraceptives to be safe and effective for emergency contraception: for tablets containing 50 mcg of ethinyl estradiol and 500 mcg of norgestrel 1 dose is 2 tablets; for tablets containing 20 mcg of ethinyl estradiol and 100 mcg of levonorgestrel 1 dose is 5 tablets; for tablets containing 30 mcg of ethinyl estradiol and 150 mcg of levonorgestrel 1 dose is 4 tablets., 10 However, to maintain effective protection against pregnancy, another method of contraception must be used as soon as menstruation resumes, the frequency or duration of breastfeeds is reduced, bottle feeds are introduced, or the baby reaches 6 months of age.",

"IndicationAndUsage": "Before instituting treatment with ceftriaxone, appropriate specimens should be obtained for isolation of the causative organism and for determination of its susceptibility to the drug. Therapy may be instituted prior to obtaining results of susceptibility testing. To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of ceftriaxone for injection USP and other antibacterial drugs, ceftriaxone for injection USP should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria. When culture and susceptibility information are available, they should be considered in selecting or modifying antibacterial therapy. In the absence of such data, local epidemiology and susceptibility patterns may contribute to the empiric selection of therapy. Ceftriaxone for injection USP is indicated for the treatment of the following infections when caused by susceptible organisms. Lower Respiratory Tract Infections. caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Staphylococcus aureus, Haemophilus influenzae, Haemophilus parainfluenzae, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter aerogenes, Proteus mirabilis or Serratia marcescens. Acute Bacterial Otitis Media. caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae (including beta-lactamase producing strains) or Moraxella catarrhalis (including beta-lactamase producing strains). NOTE: In one study lower clinical cure rates were observed with a single dose of ceftriaxone for injection USP compared to 10 days of oral therapy. In a second study comparable cure rates were observed between single dose ceftriaxone for injection USP and the comparator. The potentially lower clinical cure rate of ceftriaxone for injection USP should be balanced against the potential advantages of parenteral therapy (see CLINICAL STUDIES). Skin and Skin Structure Infections. caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus epidermidis, Streptococcus pyogenes, Viridans group streptococci, Escherichia coli, Enterobacter cloacae, Klebsiella oxytoca, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Proteus mirabilis, Morganella morganii*, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Serratia marcescens, Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, Bacteroides fragilis* or Peptostreptococcus species. Urinary Tract Infections (complicated and uncomplicated). caused by Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Proteus vulgaris, Morganella morganii or Klebsiella pneumoniae. Uncomplicated Gonorrhea (cervical/urethral and rectal). caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae, including both penicillinase- and nonpenicillinase-producing strains, and pharyngeal gonorrhea caused by nonpenicillinase-producing strains of Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease. caused by Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Ceftriaxone sodium, like other cephalosporins, has no activity against Chlamydia trachomatis. Therefore, when cephalosporins are used in the treatment of patients with pelvic inflammatory disease and Chlamydia trachomatis is one of the suspected pathogens, appropriate antichlamydial coverage should be added. Bacterial Septicemia. caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Haemophilus influenzae or Klebsiella pneumoniae. Bone and Joint Infections. caused by Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Proteus mirabilis, Klebsiella pneumoniae or Enterobacter species. Intra-Abdominal Infections. caused by Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Bacteroides fragilis, Clostridium species (Note: most strains of Clostridium difficile are resistant) or Peptostreptococcus species. Meningitis. caused by Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria meningitidis or Streptococcus pneumoniae. Ceftriaxone for injection USP has also been used successfully in a limited number of cases of meningitis and shunt infection caused by Staphylococcus epidermidis* and Escherichia coli.*. *Efficacy for this organism in this organ system was studied in fewer than ten infections. Surgical Prophylaxis. The preoperative administration of a single 1 g dose of ceftriaxone for injection USP may reduce the incidence of postoperative infections in patients undergoing surgical procedures classified as contaminated or potentially contaminated (e.g., vaginal or abdominal hysterectomy or cholecystectomy for chronic calculous cholecystitis in high-risk patients, such as those over 70 years of age, with acute cholecystitis not requiring therapeutic antimicrobials, obstructive jaundice or common duct bile stones) and in surgical patients for whom infection at the operative site would present serious risk (e.g., during coronary artery bypass surgery). Although ceftriaxone for injection USP has been shown to have been as effective as cefazolin in the prevention of infection following coronary artery bypass surgery, no placebo-controlled trials have been conducted to evaluate any cephalosporin antibiotic in the prevention of infection following coronary artery bypass surgery. When administered prior to surgical procedures for which it is indicated, a single 1 g dose of ceftriaxone for injection USP provides protection from most infections due to susceptible organisms throughout the course of the procedure.",
"Description": "Ceftriaxone for injection USP is a sterile, semisynthetic, broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic for intravenous or intramuscular administration. Ceftriaxone sodium is ( 6R, 7R)-7-[2-(2-Amino-4-thiazolyl)glyoxylamido]-8-oxo-3-[[(1,2,5,6-tetrahydro-2-methyl-5,6-dioxo- as-triazin-3-yl)thio]methyl]-5-thia-1-azabicyclo [4.2.0]oct-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid, 7 2-(Z)-( O-methyloxime), disodium salt, sesquaterhydrate. The chemical formula of ceftriaxone sodium is C 18H 16N 8Na 2O 7S 3 3.5H 2O. It has a calculated molecular weight of 661.59 and the following structural formula:. Ceftriaxone for injection USP is a white to yellowish-orange crystalline powder which is readily soluble in water, sparingly soluble in methanol and very slightly soluble in ethanol. The pH of a 1% aqueous solution is approximately 6.7. The color of ceftriaxone for injection solutions ranges from light yellow to amber, depending on the length of storage, concentration and diluent used. Each vial contains ceftriaxone sodium equivalent to 250 mg, 500 mg, 1 gram or 2 grams of ceftriaxone activity. Ceftriaxone for injection USP contains approximately 83 mg (3.6 mEq) of sodium per gram of ceftriaxone activity."

<Description>RYBELSUS tablets, for oral use, contain semaglutide, a GLP-1 receptor agonist. The formulation contains no preservative and must only be administered intravenously.</Description>

<IndicationAndUsage>ESPEROCT [antihemophilic factor (recombinant), glycopegylated-exei] is a recombinant DNA-derived coagulation Factor VIII concentrate indicated for use in adults and children with hemophilia A for: 1 On-demand treatment and control of bleeding episodes, 2 Perioperative management of bleeding, 3 Routine prophylaxis to reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>ESPEROCT is a sterile, preservative-free, non-pyrogenic lyophilized powder for intravenous injection after reconstitution with the provided saline diluent. In the blood circulation, when FVIII-PEG is activated by thrombin, the B-domain portion with the attached PEG moiety is cleaved off, and the resulting activated FVIII (FVIIIa) is similar in structure and function to native FVIIIa.</Description>

<IndicationAndUsage>Hemostasis: TISSEEL is a fibrin sealant indicated for use as an adjunct to hemostasis in adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgery when control of bleeding by conventional surgical techniques (such as suture, ligature, and cautery) is ineffective or impractical. TISSEEL is effective in heparinized patients. Sealing: TISSEEL is a fibrin sealant indicated in adult and pediatric patients as an adjunct to standard surgical techniques (such as suture and ligature) to prevent leakage from colonic anastomoses following the reversal of temporary colostomies.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>TISSEEL [Fibrin Sealant] is a two-component fibrin sealant made from pooled human plasma. When combined, the two components, Sealer Protein and Thrombin mimic the final stage of the blood coagulation cascade. Sealer Protein (Human)Sealer Protein (Human) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, vapor heated and solvent/detergent treated preparation made from pooled human plasma. Sealer Protein (Human) is provided either as a freeze-dried powder for reconstitution with Aprotinin (Synthetic) solution or as a finished frozen solution pre-filled into one side of a dual-chambered syringe. The active ingredient in Sealer Protein (Human) is fibrinogen. Sealer Protein (Human) Solution contains fibrinolysis inhibitor, synthetic Aprotinin, that delays fibrinolysis. <IndicationAndUsage>Orsythia® (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets, USP) is indicated for the prevention of pregnancy in women who elect to use oral contraceptives as a method of contraception. The FDA has declared the following dosage regimens of oral contraceptives to be safe and effective for emergency contraception: for tablets containing 50 mcg of ethinyl estradiol and 500 mcg of norgestrel 1 dose is 2 tablets; for tablets containing 20 mcg of ethinyl estradiol and 100 mcg of levonorgestrel 1 dose is 5 tablets; for tablets containing 30 mcg of ethinyl estradiol and 150 mcg of levonorgestrel 1 dose is 4 tablets., 10 However, to maintain effective protection against pregnancy, another method of contraception must be used as soon as menstruation resumes, the frequency or duration of breastfeeds is reduced, bottle feeds are introduced, or the baby reaches 6 months of age.</IndicationAndUsage>

<IndicationAndUsage>Before instituting treatment with ceftriaxone, appropriate specimens should be obtained for isolation of the causative organism and for determination of its susceptibility to the drug. When administered prior to surgical procedures for which it is indicated, a single 1 g dose of ceftriaxone for injection USP provides protection from most infections due to susceptible organisms throughout the course of the procedure.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Ceftriaxone for injection USP is a sterile, semisynthetic, broad-spectrum cephalosporin antibiotic for intravenous or intramuscular administration. Ceftriaxone for injection USP contains approximately 83 mg (3.6 mEq) of sodium per gram of ceftriaxone activity.</Description>
