"IndicationAndUsage": "Novoeight, Antihemophilic Factor (Recombinant), is a human antihemophilic factor (human blood coagulation. factor VIII (FVIII)) indicated for use in adults and children with hemophilia A for: 1 On-demand treatment and control of bleeding episodes , 2 Perioperative management , 3 Routine prophylaxis to reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes .",
"Description": "Novoeight is formulated as a sterile, non-pyrogenic, lyophilized powder for intravenous injection after reconstitution with the diluent (0.9% sodium chloride). Novoeight is available in single-dose vials that contain nominally 250, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000 or 3000 international units (IU) per vial. When reconstituted with the appropriate volume of diluent, the product contains the following components per mL: 18 mg sodium chloride, 1.5 mg L-histidine, 3 mg sucrose, 0.1 mg polysorbate 80, 0.055 mg L-methionine and 0.25 mg calcium chloride dihydrate. The product contains no preservative. Each vial of Novoeight is labeled with the actual rFVIII activity expressed in IU determined by the one-stage clotting assay, using a reference material calibrated against a World Health Organization (WHO) International Standard for FVIII Concentrates. One IU, as defined by the WHO standard for human FVIII, is approximately equal to the level of FVIII activity in 1 mL of fresh pooled human plasma. The specific activity of Novoeight is approximately 8340 IU per milligram of protein. The active ingredient in Novoeight is a recombinant (r) analogue of human coagulation factor VIII (FVIII) with a molecular mass of 166 kDa, calculated excluding post-translational modifications. The rFVIII molecule in Novoeight is a glycoprotein containing a heavy chain and a light chain, with 21 of the 908 amino acids of the B-domain of endogenous FVIII connected to the C-terminus of the heavy chain. Once activated, the resulting rFVIIIa has a comparable structure to the endogenous FVIIIa. Novoeight is synthesized by a genetically engineered Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell line which secretes rFVIII into the cell culture medium. The rFVIII protein is purified using a series of chromatography steps, one of which is the use of an immunoaffinity column in which a monoclonal antibody, produced in CHO cells and directed against FVIII, is employed to selectively isolate the rFVIII from the medium. The production process includes two dedicated viral clearance steps - a detergent treatment step for inactivation and a 20-nm filtration step for removal of viruses. No additives of human or animal origin are used in the cell culture, purification and formulation of Novoeight."

For prophylaxis of ophthalmia neonatorum due to N. gonorrhoeae or C. trachomatis. The effectiveness of erythromycin in the prevention of ophthalmia caused by penicillinase-producing N. gonorrhoeae is not established. For infants born to mothers with clinically apparent gonorrhea, intravenous or intramuscular injections of aqueous crystalline penicillin G should be given: a single dose of 50,000 units for term infants or 20,000 units for infants of low birth weight. Topical prophylaxis alone is inadequate for these infants.",
"Description": "Erythromycin ophthalmic ointment, USP belongs to the macrolide group of antibiotics. The sterile ophthalmic ointment flows freely over the conjunctiva. Erythromycin base, as crystals or powder, is slightly soluble in water, moderately soluble in ether, and readily soluble in alcohol or chloroform. Erythromycin is an antibiotic produced from a strain of Streptomyces erythraeus. It is basic and readily forms a salt when combined with an acid. It has the following structural formula. Chemical Name: ((3R ●,4S ●,5S ●,6R ●,7R ●,9R ●,11R ●,12R ●,13S ●,14R ●)-4-[(2,6-dideoxy-3- C-methyl-3- 0-methyl-α-L- ribo-hexopyranosyl)oxy]-14-ethyl-7,12,13-trihydroxy-3,5,7,9,11,13-hexamethyl-6-[[3,4,6-trideoxy-3-(dimethylamino)- β-D- xylo-hexopyranosyl]oxy]oxacyclotetradecane-2,10-dione). The formula of the active ingredient is. The EXCEL® plastic container is made from a multilayered film specifically developed for parenteral drugs. It contains no plasticizers. The solution contact layer is a rubberized copolymer of ethylene and propylene. Solutions in contact with the plastic container may leach out certain chemical components from the plastic in very small amounts; however, biological testing was supportive of the safety of the plastic container materials. The container-solution unit is a closed system and is not dependent upon entry of external air during administration. The container is overwrapped to provide protection from the physical environment and to provide an additional moisture barrier when necessary. Exposure to temperatures above 25°C/77°F during transport and storage will lead to minor losses in moisture content. Higher temperatures lead to greater losses. It is unlikely that these minor losses will lead to clinically significant changes within the expiration period."

"IndicationAndUsage": "These intravenous solutions are indicated for use in adults and pediatric patients as sources of electrolytes and water for hydration. 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection USP is indicated for extracellular fluid replacement, treatment of metabolic alkalosis in the presence of fluid loss and mild sodium depletion. 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection USP is also indicated for use as a priming solution in hemodialysis procedures and may be used to initiate and terminate blood transfusions without hemolyzing red blood cells. 0.45% Sodium Chloride Injection USP is primarily a hydrating solution and may be used to assess the status of the kidneys, since more water is provided than is required for excretion of salt. It may also be used in the treatment of hyperosmolar diabetes where the use of dextrose is inadvisable and there is a need for large amounts of fluid without an excess of sodium ions. Sodium Chloride Injections USP are also indicated as pharmaceutic aids and diluents for the infusion of compatible drug additives. Refer to prescribing information accompanying additive drugs.",

<IndicationAndUsage>Novoeight, Antihemophilic Factor (Recombinant), is a human antihemophilic factor (human blood coagulation. factor VIII (FVIII)) indicated for use in adults and children with hemophilia A for: 1 On-demand treatment and control of bleeding episodes , 2 Perioperative management , 3 Routine prophylaxis to reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes .</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Novoeight is formulated as a sterile, non-pyrogenic, lyophilized powder for intravenous injection after reconstitution with the diluent (0.9% sodium chloride). No additives of human or animal origin are used in the cell culture, purification and formulation of Novoeight.</Description>

Topical prophylaxis alone is inadequate for these infants.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Erythromycin ophthalmic ointment, USP belongs to the macrolide group of antibiotics. <IndicationAndUsage>Mannitol Injection is indicated for: 1 Reduction of intracranial pressure and treatment of cerebral edema., 2 Reduction of elevated intraocular pressure.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Mannitol Injection 20%, USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution of Mannitol, USP in 250 mL and 500 mL single-dose EXCEL® flexible containers for intravenous administration as an osmotic diuretic. It contains no antimicrobial agents. Mannitol is a six-carbon sugar alcohol prepared commercially by the reduction of dextrose. Each 100 mL contains. Mannitol USP 20 g; Water for Injection USP qs. pH: 5.3 (4.5-7.0); Calculated Osmolarity 1100 mOsmol/liter. Normal physiologic osmolarity range is approximately 280 to 310 mOsmol/L. It is unlikely that these minor losses will lead to clinically significant changes within the expiration period.</Description>

<IndicationAndUsage>These intravenous solutions are indicated for use in adults and pediatric patients as sources of electrolytes and water for hydration. Refer to prescribing information accompanying additive drugs.</IndicationAndUsage>

<IndicationAndUsage>Heparin Sodium in 5% Dextrose Injection is indicated for: : 1 Prophylaxis and treatment of venous thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, 2 Prophylaxis and treatment of thromboembolic complications associated with atrial fibrillation, 3 Treatment of acute and chronic consumption coagulopathies (disseminated intravascular coagulation), 4 Prevention of clotting in arterial and cardiac surgery, 5 Prophylaxis and treatment of peripheral arterial embolism, 6 Anticoagulant use in blood transfusions, extracorporeal circulation, and dialysis procedures. .</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Heparin is a heterogenous group of straight-chain anionic mucopolysaccharides, called glycosaminoglycans having anticoagulant properties. It is composed of polymers of alternating derivations of alpha-L-iduronic acid 2-sulfate (1), 2-deoxy-2-sulfamino- alpha-D-glucose 6-sulfate (2), beta-D-glucuronic acid (3), 2-acetamido-2- deoxy-alpha-D-glucose (4), and alpha-L-iduronic acid (5). Structure of Heparin Sodium (representative subunits). Heparin Sodium in 5% Dextrose Injection is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution prepared from Heparin Sodium USP (derived from porcine intestinal mucosa and standardized for use as an anticoagulant) and Hydrous Dextrose USP. It is to be administered by intravenous injection. The potency is determined by a biological assay using a USP reference standard based on units of heparin activity per milligram. The pH range is 5.6 (4.5 – 7.0) and the osmolarity mOsmol/L (calc.) is 315. The concentration of electrolytes is 38 mEq/L Sodium, 30 mEq/L Phosphate, and 15 mEq/L Citrate. 40 USP units/mL: Each 100 mL of the 20,000 USP units per 500 mL preparation contains: 4,000 USP units of heparin sodium, 5 g Hydrous Dextrose USP, 0.41 g Dibasic Sodium Phosphate, 0.093 g Citric Acid Anhydrous USP, 0.0686 g Sodium Metabisulfite NF (antioxidant), and Water for Injection USP until quantity sufficient. 50 USP units/mL: Each 100 mL of the 25,000 USP units per 500 mL preparation contains: 5,000 USP units of heparin sodium, 5 g Hydrous Dextrose USP, 0.41 g Dibasic Sodium Phosphate, 0.093 g Citric Acid Anhydrous USP, 0.0686 g Sodium Metabisulfite NF (antioxidant), and Water for Injection USP until quantity sufficient. 100 USP units/mL: Each 100 mL of the 25,000 USP units per 250 mL preparation contains: 10,000 USP units of heparin sodium, 5 g Hydrous Dextrose USP, 0.41 g Dibasic Sodium Phosphate, 0.093 g Citric Acid Anhydrous USP, 0.0686 g Sodium Metabisulfite NF (antioxidant), and Water for Injection USP until quantity sufficient. The plastic container is made from a multilayered film specifically developed for parenteral drugs. It contains no plasticizers and exhibits virtually no leachables. The solution contact layer is a rubberized copolymer of ethylene and propylene. The container is nontoxic and biologically inert. The container-solution unit is a closed system and is not dependent upon entry of external air during administration. The container is overwrapped to provide protection from the physical environment and to provide an additional moisture barrier when necessary. The plastic container is not made with natural rubber latex, PVC or DEHP. The closure system has two ports; the one for the administration set has a tamper evident plastic protector.</Description>
