"IndicationAndUsage": "Scopolamine transdermal system is indicated in adults for the prevention of: 1 nausea and vomiting associated with motion sickness., 2 post-operative nausea and vomiting (PONV) associated with recovery from anesthesia and/or opiate analgesia and surgery.",
"Description": "Scopolamine transdermal system is designed for continuous release of scopolamine following application to an area of intact skin on the head, behind the ear. Each system contains 1.5 mg of scopolamine base. Scopolamine is (9-methyl-3-oxa-9-azatricyclo[3.3.1.02,4]nonan-7-yl) 3-hydroxy-2-phenylpropanoate. The empirical formula is C17H21NO4 and its structural formula is. Scopolamine has a molecular weight of 303.35 and a pKa of 7.55-7.81. The scopolamine transdermal system is a circular, 1.8 cm2 film with four layers. Proceeding from the visible surface towards the surface attached to the skin, these layers are: (1) a backing layer of peach-colored polyethylene/polyester film printed with brown ink; (2) a solid matrix drug reservoir layer of silicone adhesive, scopolamine and povidone; (3) a microporous polypropylene membrane; and (4) an adhesive formulation of silicone adhesive, povidone and scopolamine. A protective, oversized release liner of fluoropolymer-coated polyester, which covers the adhesive formulation layer, is removed before the system is used. The brown ink contains acrylic polymers, carbon black, iron oxides (red and yellow), polydimethylsiloxane, polyethylene wax, polytetrafluoroethylene, polyvinylpyrrolidone, sodium dioctyl sulfosuccinate and triethanolamine. Scopolamine transdermal systems are packaged with an additional piece of protective film covering the system within each pouch. This piece of protective film is removed and discarded at the time of use. Cross section of the system."

"Description": "Colchicine is an alkaloid chemically described as Acetamide, N-(5,6,7,9-tetrahydro-1,2,3,10-tetramethoxy-9-oxobenzo[a]heptalen-7-yl)-, (S)- with a molecular formula of C22H25NO6 and a molecular weight of 399.44. The structural formula of colchicine is given below. Colchicine, USP occurs as a white to pale yellow powder that is soluble in water. Colchicine tablets, USP are supplied for oral administration as red, film-coated, oval, scored tablets (0.1770” × 0.3240”), debossed with M on one side of the tablet and CC to the left of the score and 2 to the right of the score on the other side, containing 0.6 mg of the active ingredient colchicine, USP. Inactive ingredients: hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch (corn), polydextrose, polyethylene glycol, red iron oxide, sodium starch glycolate (potato), titanium dioxide and yellow iron oxide."

The increased potential (in adolescents compared with adults) for weight gain and dyslipidemia may lead clinicians to consider prescribing other drugs first in adolescents. (1.1), 2 Acute treatment of manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder and maintenance treatment of bipolar I disorder. (1.2)Adults: Efficacy was established in three clinical trials in patients with manic or mixed episodes of bipolar I disorder: two 3- to 4-week trials and one maintenance trial. (14.2)Adolescents (ages 13-17): Efficacy was established in one 3-week trial in patients with manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder (14.2). "Description": "Olanzapine orally disintegrating tablets, USP are an atypical antipsychotic that belong to the thienobenzodiazepine class. The chemical designation is 2-Methyl-4-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-10H-thieno-[2,3-b][1,5] benzodiazepine. The molecular formula is C17H20N4S, which corresponds to a molecular weight of 312.44. The chemical structure is:. Olanzapine, USP is a yellow crystalline solid, which is practically insoluble in water. Olanzapine orally disintegrating tablets are intended for oral administration only. Each orally disintegrating tablet contains olanzapine equivalent to 5 mg (16 µmol), 10 mg (32 µmol), 15 mg (48 µmol) or 20 mg (64 µmol). It begins disintegrating in the mouth within seconds, allowing its contents to be subsequently swallowed with or without liquid. Olanzapine orally disintegrating tablets also contain the following inactive ingredients: aspartame, colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, guar gum, magnesium stearate, mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium lauryl sulfate. Meets USP Disintegration Test 2."

(1.1)Adults: Efficacy was established in three clinical trials in patients with schizophrenia: two 6-week trials and one maintenance trial. (14.1) Adolescents (ages 13-17): Efficacy was established in one 6-week trial in patients with schizophrenia (14.1). The increased potential (in adolescents compared with adults) for weight gain and dyslipidemia may lead clinicians to consider prescribing other drugs first in adolescents. (1.1), 2 Acute treatment of manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder and maintenance treatment of bipolar I disorder. (1.2)Adults: Efficacy was established in three clinical trials in patients with manic or mixed episodes of bipolar I disorder: two 3- to 4-week trials and one maintenance trial. "IndicationAndUsage": "Levalbuterol inhalation solution (concentrate) is indicated for the treatment or prevention of bronchospasm in adults, adolescents, and children 6 years of age and older with reversible obstructive airway disease.",
"Description": "Levalbuterol inhalation solution, USP (concentrate) is a sterile, clear, colorless, preservative-free solution of the hydrochloride salt of levalbuterol, the (R)-enantiomer of the drug substance racemic albuterol. Levalbuterol hydrochloride is a relatively selective beta2-adrenergic receptor agonist [see Clinical Pharmacology (12)]. The chemical name for levalbuterol hydrochloride is (R)-α1-[[(1,1-dimethylethyl)amino]methyl]-4-hydroxy-1,3-benzenedimethanol hydrochloride, and its established chemical structure is as follows. The molecular weight of levalbuterol hydrochloride is 275.8, and its molecular formula is C13H21NO3HCl. It is a white to off-white, crystalline solid, with a melting point of approximately 187°C and solubility of approximately 180 mg/mL in water. Levalbuterol hydrochloride is the USAN modified name for (R)-albuterol hydrochloride in the United States. Levalbuterol inhalation solution (concentrate) is supplied in 0.5 mL individually-wrapped unit-dose vials that must be diluted with normal saline before administration by nebulization. Each 0.5 mL unit-dose vial contains 1.25 mg of levalbuterol (as 1.44 mg of levalbuterol hydrochloride), sodium chloride to adjust tonicity, edetate disodium (EDTA) as a chelating agent and sulfuric acid to adjust the pH to 4.0 (3.3 to 4.5)."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Acitretin capsules are indicated for the treatment of severe psoriasis in adults. Because of significant adverse effects associated with its use, acitretin capsules should be prescribed only by those knowledgeable in the systemic use of retinoids. In females of reproductive potential, acitretin capsules should be reserved for non-pregnant patients who are unresponsive to other therapies or whose clinical condition contraindicates the use of other treatments (see boxed CONTRAINDICATIONS AND WARNINGS - Acitretin capsules can cause severe birth defects). Most patients experience relapse of psoriasis after discontinuing therapy. Subsequent courses, when clinically indicated, have produced efficacy results similar to the initial course of therapy.",

Chemically, acitretin, USP is (all-E)-9-(4-Methoxy-2,3,6-trimethylphenyl)-3,7-dimethyl-2,4,6,8-nonatetraenoic acid. It is a metabolite of etretinate and is related to both retinoic acid and retinol (vitamin A). It is a yellow or greenish crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 326.44. The structural formula is. Each capsule contains acitretin, edetate disodium, gelatin, maltodextrin, microcrystalline cellulose, poloxamer 407, red iron oxide, sodium ascorbate and titanium dioxide. The 25 mg capsules also contain black iron oxide and yellow iron oxide. The black imprinting ink for the 10 mg capsules contains black iron oxide, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, shellac and strong ammonia solution. The white imprinting ink for the 25 mg capsules contains povidone, propylene glycol, shellac, sodium hydroxide and titanium dioxide."

"Description": "Tretinoin gel USP, 0.05% is a translucent to opaque, pale yellow topical gel containing 0.05% tretinoin, by weight for topical administration. Chemically, tretinoin is all-trans-retinoic acid, also known as (all-E)-3,7-Dimethyl-9-(2,6,6-trimethyl-1-cyclohexen-1-yl)-2,4,6,8-nonatetraenoic acid. It is a member of the retinoid class of compounds, and a metabolite of Vitamin A. Tretinoin has a molecular weight of 300.44, a molecular formula of C20H28O2 and the following structure. Each gram of tretinoin gel, 0.05% contains 0.5 mg of tretinoin, USP. Other components of this formulation are benzyl alcohol, butyl paraben, butylated hydroxytoluene, carbomer 980, ethyl paraben, fish collagen hydrolyzates, glycerin, iso-butyl paraben, methylparaben, octoxynol 9, phenoxyethanol, propylparaben, purified water, sodium hyaluronate, and trolamine. The contribution to efficacy of individual components of the vehicle has not been evaluated."

It is a member of the retinoid class of compounds and a metabolite of naturally occurring Vitamin A. Doxepin hydrochloride, USP is one of a class of agents known as dibenzoxepin tricyclic antidepressant compounds. It is an isomeric mixture of N,N-dimethyldibenz[b,e]oxepin-Δ11(6H),γ-propylamine hydrochloride. Doxepin hydrochloride has a molecular formula of C19H21NOHCl and a molecular weight of 316. Doxepin Hydrochloride Cream, 5% also contains sorbitol, cetyl alcohol, isopropyl myristate, glyceryl stearate, PEG-100 stearate, petrolatum, benzyl alcohol, titanium dioxide and purified water."

Levalbuterol HCl is a relatively selective beta 2-adrenergic receptor agonist [see Clinical Pharmacology (12)]. The chemical name for levalbuterol HCl is (R)-α 1-[[(1,1-dimethylethyl)amino]methyl]-4-hydroxy-1,3-benzenedimethanol hydrochloride, and its established chemical structure is as follows:. The molecular weight of levalbuterol HCl is 275.8, and its empirical formula is C13H21NO3∙HCl. It is a white to off-white, crystalline solid, with a melting point of approximately 187°C and solubility of approximately 180 mg/mL in water. Levalbuterol HCl is the USAN modified name for (R)-albuterol HCl in the United States. Levalbuterol Inhalation Solution, USP is supplied in unit-dose vials and requires no dilution before administration by nebulization.
