"IndicationAndUsage": "Desvenlafaxine extended-release tablets are indicated for the treatment of adults with major depressive disorder (MDD) [see Clinical Studies (14)].",
"Description": "Desvenlafaxine extended-release tablets are an extended-release tablet for oral administration that contains desvenlafaxine succinate, a structurally novel SNRI for the treatment of MDD. Desvenlafaxine (O-desmethylvenlafaxine) is the major active metabolite of the antidepressant venlafaxine, a medication used to treat major depressive disorder. Desvenlafaxine is designated RS-4-[2-dimethylamino-1-(1-hydroxycyclohexyl)ethyl]phenol and has the empirical formula of C16H25NO2 (free base) and C16H25NO2C4H6O4H2O (succinate monohydrate). Desvenlafaxine succinate monohydrate has a molecular weight of 399.48. The structural formula is shown below. Desvenlafaxine succinate is a white to off-white powder that is soluble in water. The solubility of desvenlafaxine succinate is pH dependent. Its octanol:aqueous system (at pH 7.0) partition coefficient is 0.21. Desvenlafaxine extended-release tablets are formulated as an extended-release tablet for once-a-day oral administration. Each tablet contains 38 mg, 76 mg or 152 mg of desvenlafaxine succinate equivalent to 25 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg of desvenlafaxine, respectively. Inactive ingredients for the 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg tablet consist of colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose 2208, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene oxide, talc and film coating, which consists of iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow, polyethylene glycol 3350, polyvinyl alcohol-part hydrolyzed, talc and titanium dioxide. The imprinting ink contains ammonium hydroxide, iron oxide black, propylene glycol and shellac glaze."

The chemical name is 4-[5-(4-methylphenyl)-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl] benzenesulfonamide and is a diaryl-substituted pyrazole. It has the following chemical structure. C17H14F3N3O2S M.W. 381.38. Celecoxib, USP is a white to almost white powder with a pKa of 11.1 (sulfonamide moiety). Celecoxib, USP is hydrophobic (log P is 3.5) and is practically insoluble in aqueous media at physiological pH range. The inactive ingredients in celecoxib capsules include: black iron oxide, crospovidone, dehydrated alcohol, FD&C Blue No.1, gelatin, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone, shellac, sodium lauryl sulfate, and titanium dioxide. The 50 mg, 200 mg and 400 mg capsules also contain D&C Yellow No. 10. The 50 mg, 100 mg and 200 mg capsules also contain D&C Red No. 28. The 400 mg capsule also contains FD&C Yellow No. 6."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Desvenlafaxine extended-release tablets are indicated for the treatment of adults with major depressive disorder (MDD) [see Clinical Studies (14)].",
"Description": "Desvenlafaxine extended-release tablets are an extended-release tablet for oral administration that contains desvenlafaxine succinate, a structurally novel SNRI for the treatment of MDD. Desvenlafaxine (O-desmethylvenlafaxine) is the major active metabolite of the antidepressant venlafaxine, a medication used to treat major depressive disorder. Desvenlafaxine is designated RS-4-[2-dimethylamino-1-(1-hydroxycyclohexyl)ethyl]phenol and has the empirical formula of C16H25NO2 (free base) and C16H25NO2C4H6O4H2O (succinate monohydrate). Desvenlafaxine succinate monohydrate has a molecular weight of 399.48. The structural formula is shown below. Desvenlafaxine succinate is a white to off-white powder that is soluble in water. The solubility of desvenlafaxine succinate is pH dependent. Its octanol:aqueous system (at pH 7.0) partition coefficient is 0.21. Desvenlafaxine extended-release tablets are formulated as an extended-release tablet for once-a-day oral administration. Each tablet contains 38 mg, 76 mg or 152 mg of desvenlafaxine succinate equivalent to 25 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg of desvenlafaxine, respectively. Inactive ingredients for the 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg tablet consist of colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose 2208, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene oxide, talc and film coating, which consists of iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow, polyethylene glycol 3350, polyvinyl alcohol-part hydrolyzed, talc and titanium dioxide. The imprinting ink contains ammonium hydroxide, iron oxide black, propylene glycol and shellac glaze."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Atropine is indicated for the treatment of poisoning by susceptible organophosphorus nerve agents having anticholinesterase activity as well as organophosphorus or carbamate insecticides in adults and pediatric patients weighing more than 41 kg (90 pounds).",
"Description": "The Atropine prefilled autoinjector is a single dose, self-contained unit designed for self or caregiver administration. Each 2 mg Atropine autoinjector delivers 1.67 mg atropine (equivalent to 2 mg atropine sulfate) in 0.7 mL of sterile pyrogen-free solution for intramuscular injection. Each 2 mg autoinjector also contains the following inactive ingredients: 3.27 mg citric acid monohydrate (buffer), 12.47 mg glycerin, 2.8 mg phenol, and 3.05 mg sodium citrate dihydrate (buffer). The pH range is 4.1 - 4.5. Atropine, a cholinergic muscarinic antagonist, occurs as white crystals, usually needle-like, or as a white, crystalline powder. It is highly soluble in water with a molecular weight of 289.38. Atropine, a naturally occurring belladonna alkaloid, is a racemic mixture of equal parts of d- and l-hyoscyamine; its activity is due almost entirely to the levo isomer of the drug. Chemically, atropine is designated as 1αH,5αH-tropan-3–ol (±)-tropate (ester). Its empirical formula is C17H23NO3 and its structural formula is:."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Azelastine hydrochloride and fluticasone propionate nasal spray is indicated for the relief of symptoms of seasonal allergic rhinitis in adult and pediatric patients 6 years of age and older.",
"Description": "Azelastine hydrochloride and fluticasone propionate nasal spray is formulated as a white, uniform metered-spray suspension for nasal administration. It is a fixed dose combination product containing an antihistamine (H1 receptor antagonist) and a corticosteroid as active ingredients. Azelastine hydrochloride, USP active ingredient occurs as a white or almost white, odorless, crystalline powder with a bitter taste. It has a molecular weight of 418.36. It is sparingly soluble in water, and is soluble in ethanol and in dichloromethane. It has a melting point of 225°C and the pH of 5.2. Its chemical name is 1-(2H)-phthalazinone, 4-[(4-chlorophenyl)methyl]-2-(hexahydro-1-methyl-1H-azepin-4-yl), monohydrochloride. Its molecular formula is C22H24ClN3OHCl with the following chemical structure. Fluticasone propionate, USP active ingredient is a white or almost white powder with a melting point of 273°C, a molecular weight of 500.57, and the molecular formula is C25H31F3O5S. It is practically insoluble in water, sparingly soluble in methylene chloride, and slightly soluble in alcohol. Fluticasone propionate, USP is a synthetic corticosteroid having the chemical name Androsta-1,4-diene-17-carbothioic acid,6,9-difluoro-11-hydroxy-16-methyl-3-oxo-17-(1-oxopropoxy)-,(6α, 11β, 16α, 17α)-S-(fluoromethyl) ester, and the following chemical structure. Azelastine hydrochloride and fluticasone propionate nasal spray, 137 mcg/50 mcg contains 0.1% solution of azelastine hydrochloride and 0.037% suspension of micronized fluticasone propionate in an isotonic aqueous suspension containing benzalkonium chloride (0.1 mg/g), edetate disodium, glycerin, microcrystalline cellulose and carboxymethylcellulose sodium, phenylethyl alcohol (2.5 mg/g), polysorbate 80, and Water for Injection, USP q.s. It has a pH of approximately 6.0. After priming [see Dosage and Administration (2.2)], each metered spray delivers a 0.137 mL mean volume of suspension containing 137 mcg of azelastine hydrochloride (equivalent to 125 mcg of azelastine base) and 50 mcg of fluticasone propionate. The 23 g bottle provides 120 metered sprays, after priming."

Aqueous extracts are prepared using cocas fluid containing NaCl 0.5%, NaHCO3 0.0275%, WFI, preservative 0.4% Phenol. Glycerinated allergenic extracts are prepared with cocas fluid and glycerin to produce a 50% (v/v) allergenic extract. Allergenic Extracts are supplied as concentrations designated as protein nitrogen units (PNU) or weight/volume (w/v) ratio. Standardized extracts are designated in Bioequivalent Allergy Units (BAU) or Allergy Units (AU). (See product insert for standardized extracts). For diagnostic purposes, allergenic extracts are to be administered by prick-puncture or intradermal routes. Allergenic extracts are administered subcutaneously for immunotherapy injections."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Cefuroxime axetil tablet is a cephalosporin antibacterial drug indicated for the treatment of the following infections due to susceptible bacteria: (1). To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of cefuroxime axetil and other antibacterial drugs, cefuroxime axetil should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by bacteria.",
"Description": "Cefuroxime axetil tablets, USP contain cefuroxime as cefuroxime axetil. Cefuroxime axetil is a semisynthetic, cephalosporin antibacterial drug for oral administration. The chemical name of cefuroxime axetil (1-(acetyloxy) ethyl ester of cefuroxime) is (RS)-1 hydroxyethyl (6R,7R)-7-[2-(2-furyl)glyoxyl-amido]-3-(hydroxymethyl)-8-oxo-5-thia-1 azabicyclo[4.2.0]-oct-2-ene-2-carboxylate, 72-(Z)-(O-methyl-oxime), 1-acetate 3-carbamate. Its molecular formula is C20H22N4O10S, and it has a molecular weight of 510.48. Cefuroxime axetil is in the amorphous form and has the following structural formula. Cefuroxime axetil tablets, USP are film-coated and contain the equivalent of 250 or 500 mg of cefuroxime as cefuroxime axetil. Cefuroxime axetil tablets, USP contain the inactive ingredients microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, sodium lauryl sulfate, colloidal silicon dioxide, calcium stearate, calcium carbonate, crospovidone, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, propylene glycol, FD &C blue no.1 Aluminium lake."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Diltiazem hydrochloride extended-release capsules, USP is indicated for the treatment of hypertension. It may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive medications. Diltiazem hydrochloride extended-release capsules, USP is indicated for the management of chronic stable angina and angina due to coronary artery spasm.",
"Description": "Diltiazem Hydrochloride Extended-Release Capsules, USP is a calcium ion cellular influx inhibitor (slow channel blocker or calcium antagonist). Chemically, diltiazem hydrochloride is 1,5-Benzothiazepin-4(5H)-one, 3-(acetyloxy)-5-[2-(dimethylamino) ethyl]-2, 3-dihydro-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-, monohydrochloride,(+)-cis-. The chemical structure is. Diltiazem hydrochloride is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a bitter taste. It is soluble in water, methanol, and chloroform. It has a molecular weight of 450.98. Diltiazem Hydrochloride Extended-Release Capsules, USP is formulated as a once-a-day extended-release capsule containing 120 mg, 180 mg, 240 mg or 300 mg diltiazem hydrochloride. Each diltiazem hydrochloride extended-release capsule, contains the following inactive ingredients: ammonio methacrylate copolymer NF, type A, ammonio methacrylate copolymer NF, type B, ammonium hydroxide, gelatin, hydroxypropyl cellulose, propylene glycol, shellac, sodium lauryl sulfate, sucrose, corn starch, talc, titanium dioxide, triethyl citrate and black iron oxide. In addition, the 180 mg capsules contains D&C yellow #10, FD&C blue #1, FD&C green #3, 240 mg capsules contains D&C yellow #10, FD&C green #3 and 300 mg capsules contains black iron oxide, D&C yellow #10, FD&C green #3. For oral administration. This drug product conforms to USP Drug release test #11."
