"IndicationAndUsage": "Hydrocortisone valerate ointment USP, 0.2% is a medium potency corticosteroid indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses in adult patients.",
"Description": "Hydrocortisone valerate ointment USP, 0.2%, contains hydrocortisone valerate, 11,21-dihydroxy-17-[(1-oxopentyl)oxy]-(11β)-pregn-4-ene-3,20-dione, a synthetic corticosteroid for topical dermatologic use. The corticosteroids constitute a class of primarily synthetic steroids used topically as anti-inflammatory and antipruritic agents. Chemically, hydrocortisone valerate is C 26H 38O 6. It has the following structural formula:. Hydrocortisone valerate has a molecular weight of 446.58. It is a white, crystalline solid, soluble in ethanol and methanol, sparingly soluble in propylene glycol and insoluble in water. Each gram of hydrocortisone valerate ointment USP, 0.2% contains 2 mg hydrocortisone valerate in a hydrophilic base composed of carbomer 974P, sodium phosphate dibasic anhydrous, methylparaben, light mineral oil, propylene glycol, purified water, sodium lauryl sulfate, steareth-2, steareth-100, stearyl alcohol, and white petrolatum."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Brivaracetam is indicated for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients 1 month of age and older.",
"Description": "The chemical name of brivaracetam is (2S)-2-[(4R)-2-oxo-4-propyltetrahydro-1H-pyrrol-1-yl] butanamide. Its molecular formula is C11H20N2O2 and its molecular weight is 212.29. The chemical structure is:. Brivaracetam is a white to off-white crystalline powder. It is very soluble in water, ethanol, and methanol. It is freely soluble in acetonitrile and acetone and soluble in toluene. It is very slightly soluble in n-hexane. Tablets. Brivaracetam tablets are for oral administration and contain the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and film coating agent contains polyethylene glycol 3350, polyethylene glycol 8000, polyvinyl alcohol, talc, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "DORYX MPC is a tetracycline class drug indicated for: 1 Rickettsial Infections ( 1.1) , 2 Sexually Transmitted Infections ( 1.2) , 3 Respiratory Tract Infections( 1.3) , 4 Specific Bacterial Infections ( 1.4) , 5 Ophthalmic Infections ( 1.5) , 6 Anthrax, Including Inhalational Anthrax (Post-Exposure) ( 1.6) , 7 Alternative Treatment for Selected Infections when Penicillin is Contraindicated ( 1.7) , 8 Adjunctive Therapy in Acute Intestinal Amebiasis and Severe Acne ( 1.8) , 9 Prophylaxis of Malaria ( 1.9) .",
"Description": "Doryx MPC (doxycycline hyclate delayed-release tablets) for oral use, contain doxycycline hyclate, a tetracycline class drug synthetically derived from oxytetracycline, in a delayed-release formulation consisting of pellets with a modified polymer enteric coat that has increased acid resistance. The structural formula for doxycycline hyclate is. with a molecular formula of C 22H 24N 2O 8, HCl, ½ C 2H 6O, ½ H 2O and a molecular weight of 512.9. The chemical name for doxycycline hyclate is [4S(4aR,5S,5aR,6R,12aS)]-4-(dimethylamino)-1,4,4a,5,5a,6,11,12a-octahydro-3,5,10,12,12a-pentahydroxy-6-methyl-1,11-deoxonaphthacene-2-carboxamide monohydrochloride, compound with ethyl alcohol (2:1), monohydrate. Doxycycline hyclate is a yellow crystalline powder soluble in water and in solutions of alkali hydroxides and carbonates. Doxycycline has a high degree of lipid solubility and a low affinity for calcium binding. It is highly stable in normal human serum. Doxycycline will not degrade into an epianhydro form. Each tablet contains doxycycline 60 mg (equivalent to doxycycline hyclate 69.4 mg) or doxycycline 120 mg (equivalent to doxycycline hyclate 138.8 mg). Inactive ingredients in the tablet formulation are: lactose monohydrate; microcrystalline cellulose; sodium lauryl sulfate; sodium chloride; talc; anhydrous lactose; corn starch; crospovidone; magnesium stearate; cellulosic polymer coating. Each DORYX MPC 60 mg Tablet contains 3.6 mg (0.157 mEq) of sodium. Each DORYX MPC 120 mg Tablet contains 7.2 mg (0.313 mEq) of sodium."

"Description": "Triamcinolone Acetonide Lotion, USP is supplied in the following strengths: 0.025%, 0.1%. Each mL of Triamcinolone Acetonide Lotion, USP, 0.025% contains 0.25 mg triamcinolone acetonide, USP in a lotion base containing citric acid anhydrous, cetyl alcohol, dimethicone, polysorbate 20, propylene glycol, purified water, sorbitan monopalmitate, and stearyl alcohol. It may contain 10% citric acid solution or 10% sodium citrate solution for pH adjustment. Triamcinolone Acetonide is a topical corticosteroid known chemically as 9-Fluoro-11β, 16α, 17, 21-tetrahydroxypregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione cyclic 16,17-acetal with acetone. The molecular formula is C24H31FO6. It has the following structure."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Rabeprazole sodium delayed-release tablets is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) indicated in adults for:. · Healing of Erosive or Ulcerative Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD) ( 1.1). · Maintenance of Healing of Erosive or Ulcerative GERD ( 1.2). · Treatment of Symptomatic GERD ( 1.3). · Healing of Duodenal Ulcers ( 1.4). · Helicobacter pylori Eradication to Reduce Risk of Duodenal Ulcer Recurrence ( 1.5). · Treatment of Pathological Hypersecretory Conditions, Including Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome ( 1.6). In adolescent patients 12 years of age and older for:. · Short-term Treatment of Symptomatic GERD ( 1.7).",
"Description": "The active ingredient in rabeprazole sodium delayed-release tablets is rabeprazole sodium, which is a proton pump inhibitor. It is a substituted benzimidazole known chemically as 2-[[[4-(3-methoxypropoxy)-3-methyl-2-pyridinyl]-methyl]sulfinyl]-1 H–benzimidazole sodium salt. It has an empirical formula of C 18H 20N 3NaO 3S and a molecular weight of 381.42. Rabeprazole sodium is a white to slightly yellowish-white solid. It is very soluble in water and methanol, freely soluble in ethanol, chloroform, and ethyl acetate and insoluble in ether and n-hexane. The stability of rabeprazole sodium is a function of pH; it is rapidly degraded in acid media, and is more stable under alkaline conditions. The structural figure is:. Rabeprazole sodium delayed-release tablets is available for oral administration as Delayed-Release, enteric-coated tablets containing 20 mg of rabeprazole sodium. Inactive ingredients of the 20 mg tablet are Mannitol, Crospovidone, Magnesium Oxide Light, Hydroxy Propyl Cellulose, Sodium Stearyl Fumarate, Magnesium Stearate, Ethyl Cellulose, Hypromellose phthalate, Carnauba Wax, Diacetylated Monoglyceride. The coating material contains Polyvinyl Alcohol, Talc, Titanium Dioxide, Macrogol, Lecithin and Iron Oxide Yellow. The printing ink contains Shellac, Ferrosoferric Oxide, Propylene Glycol and Ammonium Hydroxide 28%."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Topiramate Tablets are indicated as initial monotherapy in patients 10 years of age and older with partial onset or primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures. Effectiveness was demonstrated in a controlled trial in patients with epilepsy who had no more than 2 seizures in the 3 months prior to enrollment. Safety and effectiveness in patients who were converted to monotherapy from a previous regimen of other anticonvulsant drugs have not been established in controlled trials.",
"Description": "Topiramate is a sulfamate-substituted monosaccharide. Topiramate Tablets are available as 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg, and 200 mg round tablets for oral administration. Topiramate USP is a white crystalline powder with a bitter taste. Topiramate USP is most soluble in alkaline solutions containing sodium hydroxide or sodium phosphate and having a pH of 9 to 10. It is freely soluble in acetone, chloroform, dimethylsulfoxide, and ethanol. The solubility in water is 9.8 mg/mL. Its saturated solution has a pH of 6.3. Topiramate USP has the molecular formula C12H21NO8S and a molecular weight of 339.37. Topiramate USP is designated chemically as 2,3:4,5-Di-O-isopropylidene-β-Dfructopyranose sulfamate and has the following structural formula. Topiramate tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, pre-gelatinized starch, lactose monohydrate, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, opadry white (titanium dioxide, hypromellose 3cp, hypromellose 6cp, PEG 400, polysorbate 80) for 25 mg tablets, opadry yellow (titanium dioxide, hypromellose 3cp, hypromellose 6cp, PEG 400, polysorbate 80, iron oxide yellow) for 50 mg tablets, opadry yellow (hypromellose 3cp, hypromellose 6cp titanium dioxide, PEG 400, iron oxide yellow, polysorbate 80, iron oxide red) for 100 mg tablets and), opadry pink (titanium dioxide, hypromellose 6cp, PEG 400, iron oxide red) for 200 mg tablets."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Naproxen Tablets are indicated for:the relief of the signs and symptoms of: 1 rheumatoid arthritis, 2 osteoarthritis, 3 ankylosing spondylitis, 4 polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis, 5 tendonitis, 6 bursitis , 7 acute gout.",
"Description": "Naproxen tablets, USP are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and available as follows: Naproxen tablets, USP are available as light yellow round shaped tablets containing 250 mg naproxen, light yellow capsule shaped tablets containing 375 mg naproxen and light yellow oblong shaped tablets containing 500 mg naproxen for oral administration. Naproxen is a propionic acid derivative related to the arylacetic acid group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The chemical name for naproxen is (S)-6-methoxy-α-methyl-2-naphthaleneacetic acid. Naproxen has a molecular weight of 230.26 and a molecular formula of C14H14O3. It has the following structural formula. Naproxen is white or almost white crystalline powder. It is insoluble in water, soluble in chloroform, dehydrated ethanol and methanol. Sparingly soluble in ether. The octanol/water partition coefficient of Naproxen at pH < 2.18 is 3.18. Each naproxen tablet, USP contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, yellow iron oxide, povidone and magnesium stearate."

"Description": "The topical corticosteroids constitute a class of primarily synthetic steroids used as anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic agents. Fluocinolone Acetonide is included in this class of synthetic corticosteroids. Chemically Fluocinolone Acetonide is Pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione, 6,9-difluoro-11,21-dihydroxy-16,17-[(1-methylethylidene)bis(oxy)]-, (6α, 11β, 6α)-), with the molecular formula C 24H 30F 20 6, a molecular weight of 452.49 and the following structural formula:. Each gram of Fluocinolone Acetonide Cream, USP 0.01% contains 0.1 mg fluocinolone acetonide USP in a water washable cream base consisting of mineral oil (and) lanolin alcohols, isopropyl palmitate NF, propylene glycol stearate, cetyl alcohol NF, sorbitan monostearate NF, polysorbate 60 NF, sorbic acid NF, polyoxyl (40) stearate NF, purified water USP, propylene glycol USP with propylparaben NF and methylparaben NF as preservatives. Each gram of Fluocinolone Acetonide Ointment, USP 0.025% contains 0.25 mg of fluocinolone acetonide USP in an ointment base consisting of light mineral oil NF and white petrolatum USP."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Metronidazole gel, 1% is indicated for the topical treatment of inflammatory lesions of rosacea.",
"Description": "Metronidazole gel USP contains metronidazole, USP. It is intended for topical use. Chemically, metronidazole is 2-methyl-5-nitro-1 H-imidazole-1-ethanol. The molecular formula for metronidazole is C 6H 9N 3O 3. It has the following structural formula:. Metronidazole has a molecular weight of 171.2. It is a white to pale yellow crystalline powder. It is slightly soluble in water, acetone, alcohol and methylene chloride. Metronidazole belongs to the nitroimidazole class of compounds. Metronidazole gel USP is a clear, colorless to pale yellow, aqueous gel; each gram contains 10 mg of metronidazole in a base of betadex, edetate disodium, hydroxyethyl cellulose, methylparaben, niacinamide, phenoxyethanol, propylene glycol, propylparaben and purified water."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Clobetasol Propionate Ointment is a super-high potency corticosteroid formulation indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses. Treatment beyond 2 consecutive weeks is not recommended, and the total dosage should not exceed 50 g per week because of the potential for the drug to suppress the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis. Use in pediatric patients under 12 years of age is not recommended. As with other highly active corticosteroids, therapy should be discontinued when control has been achieved. If no improvement is seen within 2 weeks, reassessment of the diagnosis may be necessary.",
"Description": "Clobetasol Propionate Ointment, USP 0.05% contains the active compound clobetasol propionate, a synthetic corticosteroid, for topical dermatologic use. Clobetasol, an analog of prednisolone, has a high degree of glucocorticoid activity and a slight degree of mineralocorticoid activity. Clobetasol propionate is a white to cream-colored crystalline powder insoluble in water. Chemically, clobetasol propionate is 21-chloro-9-fluoro-11β,17-dihydroxy-16β-methylpregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione 17-propionate, and it has the following structural formula: Clobetasol propionate has the molecular formula C 25H 32ClFO 5and a molecular weight of 466.98. Each gram of the 0.05% ointment contains clobetasol propionate 0.5 mg in a base of propylene glycol, sorbitan sesquioleate, and white petrolatum."

The corticosteroids constitute a class of primary synthetic steroids used topically as anti-inflammatory and antipruritic agents. Chemically, desonide, the active ingredient in Desonide Cream, 0.05% is C 24H 32O 6. It has the following structural formula: The molecular weight of desonide is 416.51. It is a white to off-white powder. The solubility of desonide in distilled water saturated with ether is 184 mg/L. Each gram of Desonide Cream, contains 0.5 milligram of desonide microdispersed in a compatible vehicle buffered to the pH range of normal skin. It contains aluminum sulfate, calcium acetate, cetostearyl alcohol, dextrin, glycerin, light mineral oil, purified water, sodium lauryl sulfate, synthetic white wax and white petrolatum. The active component is the corticosteroid fluocinonide, which is the 21-acetate ester of fluocinolone acetonide and has the chemical name pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione, 21-(acetyloxy)-6,9-difluoro-11-hydroxy-16,17-[(1-methylethylidene)bis(oxy)]-, (6∝,11ß,16∝). Its molecular formula is C 26H 32F 2O 7, and has the molecular weight of 494.53. It has the following chemical structure: Fluocinonide Cream, USP 0.05% contains fluocinonide 0.5 mg/g in a cream base consisting of citric acid, 1,2,6-hexanetriol, polyethylene glycol-8000, propylene glycol and stearyl alcohol. This white cream vehicle is greaseless, non-staining, anhydrous and completely water miscible. The base provides emollient and hydrophilic properties. In the Fluocinonide Cream, USP 0.05% formulation, the active ingredient is totally in solution."
