"IndicationAndUsage": "Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets, USP is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.",
"Description": "Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets contain the antihyperglycemic agent metformin, which is a biguanide, in the form of monohydrochloride. The chemical name of metformin hydrochloride is N,N-dimethylimidodicarbonimidic diamide hydrochloride. The structural formula is as shown below:. Metformin hydrochloride is a white to off-white crystalline compound with a molecular formula of C 4H 11N 5HCl and a molecular weight of 165.63. It is freely soluble in water and is practically insoluble in acetone, ether, and chloroform. The pK aof metformin is 12.4. The pH of a 1% aqueous solution of metformin hydrochloride is 6.68. Metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets, USP contains 500 mg or 750 mg of metformin hydrochloride, which is equivalent to 389.93 mg, 584.90 mg metformin base, respectively. Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets USP, 500 mg contain the inactive ingredients colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and povidone. Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets USP, 750 mg contain the inactive ingredients colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide, talc, red iron oxide and yellow iron oxide. System Components and Performance – Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets USP is based on a hydrophilic polymer matrix drug delivery system. On oral administration, fluid from the gastrointestinal tract wets and penetrates the matrix leading to the formation of a hydrogel and swelling of the polymer matrix. Drug is released slowly over time in a controlled manner, independent of pH, by a process of drug dissolution followed by drug diffusion through the hydrogel barrier formed and gradual matrix erosion. Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets USP, 500 mg contain the inactive ingredients colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and povidone. Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets USP, 750 mg contain the inactive ingredients colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide, talc, red iron oxide and yellow iron oxide. System Components and Performance – Metformin Hydrochloride Extended-Release Tablets USP is based on a hydrophilic polymer matrix drug delivery system. On oral administration, fluid from the gastrointestinal tract wets and penetrates the matrix leading to the formation of a hydrogel and swelling of the polymer matrix. Drug is released slowly over time in a controlled manner, independent of pH, by a process of drug dissolution followed by drug diffusion through the hydrogel barrier formed and gradual matrix erosion. "Description": "Amlodipine besylate and benazepril hydrochloride capsules is a combination of amlodipine besylate and benazepril hydrochloride. Benazepril hydrochloride is a white to off-white crystalline powder, soluble (>100 mg/mL) in water, in ethanol, and in methanol. Benazepril hydrochloride’s chemical name is 3-[[1-(ethoxycarbonyl)-3-phenyl-(1S)- propyl]amino]-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-2-oxo-1H-1-(3S)-benzazepine-1-acetic acid monohydrochloride; its structural formula is. Its molecular formula is C24H28N205HCl, and its molecular weight is 460.96. Benazeprilat, the active metabolite of benazepril, is a nonsulfhydryl angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor. Benazepril is converted to benazeprilat by hepatic cleavage of the ester group. Amlodipine besylate is a white to pale yellow crystalline powder, slightly soluble in water and sparingly soluble in ethanol. Its chemical name is (R,S)3-ethyl-5-methyl-2-(2-aminoethoxymethyl)-4-(2-chlorophenyl)-1,4- dihydro-6-methyl-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate benzenesulfonate; its structural formula is. Its molecular formula is C20H25ClN205C6H603S, and its molecular weight is 567.1. Amlodipine besylate and benazepril hydrochloride capsules are formulated in six different strengths for oral administration with a combination of amlodipine besylate equivalent to 2.5 mg, 5 mg or 10 mg of amlodipine, with 10 mg, 20 mg or 40 mg of benazepril hydrochloride providing for the following available combinations: 2.5 mg/10 mg, 5 mg/10 mg, 5 mg/20 mg,5 mg/40 mg, 10 mg/20 mg and 10 mg/40 mg. The inactive ingredients of the capsules are colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hydrogenated castor oil, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate and talc. Each hard-gelatin capsule contains gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, D&C yellow # 10 and D&C red # 28, (5 mg/20 mg, 10 mg/40 mg), FD&C blue # 1 and FD&C red # 40 (5 mg/20 mg, 5 mg/40 mg), FD & C Yellow 6 (5 mg/40 mg), FD&C green # 3 (2.5 mg/10 mg), iron oxide black (10 mg/20 mg) and iron oxide red (5 mg/20 mg and 10 mg/20 mg ) as coloring agents."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen tablets, USP are indicated for the management of pain severe enough to require an opioid analgesic and for which alternative treatments are inadequate. Limitations of Use. Because of the risks of addiction, abuse, and misuse, with opioids, even at recommended doses [see WARNINGS], reserve hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen tablets, USP for use in patients for whom alternative treatment options (e.g., non-opioid analgesics): 1 have not been tolerated, or are not expected to be tolerated,, 2 have not provided adequate analgesia, or are not expected to provide adequate analgesia.",
"Description": "Hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen, USP is available in tablet form for oral administration. Hydrocodone bitartrate is an opioid analgesic and occurs as fine, white crystals or as a crystalline powder. It is affected by light. The chemical name is 4,5α-epoxy-3-methoxy-17-methylmorphinan-6-one tartrate (1:1) hydrate (2:5). It has the following structural formula. Acetaminophen, 4' -hydroxyacetanilide, a slightly bitter, white, odorless, crystalline powder, is a non-opiate, non-salicylate analgesic and antipyretic. It has the following structural formula. Each Hydrocodone Bitartrate and Acetaminophen Tablet, USP contains. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, pregelatinized starch, povidone, FD&C Yellow No 6 (for strength 5 mg/325 mg), D&C Yellow No 10 (for strengths 10 mg/325 mg) and stearic acid. Hydrocodone Bitartrate and Acetaminophen Tablets, USP complies to USP Dissolution Test 1."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Celecoxib capsules are indicated.",
"Description": "Celecoxib is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, available as capsules containing 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg and 400 mg celecoxib USP for oral administration. The chemical name is 4-[5-(4-methylphenyl)-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl] benzenesulfonamide and is a diaryl-substituted pyrazole. The molecular weight is 381.38. Its molecular formula is C 17H 14F 3N 3O 2S, and it has the following chemical structure:. Celecoxib USP is a white to off-white powder with a pKa of 11.1 (sulfonamide moiety). Celecoxib USP is hydrophobic (log P is 3.5) and is practically insoluble in aqueous media at physiological pH range. The inactive ingredients in celecoxib capsules include: gelatin, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone, sodium lauryl sulfate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, crospovidone and titanium dioxide. The imprinting ink of capsule shell of the 50 mg capsule contains the following inactive ingredients: shellac, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide, titanium dioxide, povidone and FD&C Red#40 Aluminum Lake- E129. The imprinting ink of capsule shell of the 100 mg capsule contains the following inactive ingredients: shellac, propylene glycol, strong ammonia solution and FD&C Blue#2 Aluminum Lake-E132. The imprinting ink of capsule shell of the 200 mg capsule contains the following inactive ingredients: shellac, propylene glycol, strong ammonia solution and yellow iron oxide. The imprinting ink of capsule shell of the 400 mg capsule contains the following inactive ingredients: shellac, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide, povidone, titanium dioxide, FD&C Blue#1 Aluminum Lake- E133 and FD&C Yellow#5 Aluminum Lake-E102."

"IndicationAndUsage": "1.1 Monotherapy Epilepsy Topiramate tablets, USP are indicated as initial monotherapy in patients 2 years of age and older with partial onset or primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures. Safety and effectiveness in patients who were converted to monotherapy from a previous regimen of other anticonvulsant drugs have not been established in controlled trials [see Clinical Studies ( 14.1)]. 1.2 Adjunctive Therapy Epilepsy Topiramate tablets, USP are indicated as adjunctive therapy for adults and pediatric patients ages 2 to 16 years with partial onset seizures or primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures, and in patients 2 years of age and older with seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome [see Clinical Studies ( 14.2)]. .",
"Description": "Topiramate is a sulfamate-substituted monosaccharide. Topiramate tablets are available as 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg, and 200 mg round tablets for oral administration. Topiramate is a white crystalline powder with a bitter taste. Topiramate USP is most soluble in alkaline solutions containing sodium hydroxide or sodium phosphate and having a pH of 9 to 10. It is freely soluble in acetone, chloroform, dimethylsulfoxide, and ethanol. The solubility in water is 9.8 mg/mL. Its saturated solution has a pH of 6.3. Topiramate has the molecular formula C12H21NO8S and a molecular weight of 339.37. Topiramate is designated chemically as 2,3:4,5-Di-O-isopropylidene-β-D-fructopyranose sulfamate and has the following structural formula. chemical-structure. Topiramate tablets, USP contain the following inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized maize starch, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol and talc. In addition, individual tablets contain. 50 mg tablets: iron oxide yellow. 100 mg tablets: iron oxide yellow, and D&C Yellow # 10 Aluminum Lake. 200 mg tablets: iron oxide red, lecithin (soya), and iron oxide black."

"IndicationAndUsage": "For the relief of symptoms of depression. Endogenous depression is more likely to be alleviated than are other depressive states.",
"Description": "Amitriptyline hydrochloride, USP, a dibenzocycloheptadiene derivative, is a white, or practically white, odorless, crystalline compound which is freely soluble in water and alcohol. It is designated chemically as 10,11-Dihydro-N,N-dimethyl-5 H-dibenzo[a, d] cycloheptene-Δ 5, γ-propylamine hydrochloride. It has the following structural formula:. C 20H 23N.HCl. M.W. 313.90. Each tablet for oral administration contains 50 mg amitriptyline hydrochloride, USP. Inactive ingredients include lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide and polyethylene glycol. In addition, the following product specific coloring agents are included. 50 mg-D&C Yellow #10 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Red #40 Aluminum Lake and FD&C Blue #2 Aluminum Lake;."

"Description": "Pregabalin is described chemically as (S)-3-(Aminomethyl)-5-methylhexanoic acid. The molecular formula is C 8H 17NO 2and the molecular weight is 159.23 g/mol. The chemical structure of pregabalin is:. Pregabalin, USP is a white to off-white, crystalline solid with a pK a1of 4.2 and a pK a2of 10.6. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is -1.35. Pregabalin Capsules are administered orally and are supplied as imprinted hard-shell capsules containing 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg, 100 mg, 150 mg, 200 mg, 225 mg, and 300 mg of pregabalin, along with pregelatinized starch and talc as inactive ingredients. The capsule shells contain gelatin and titanium dioxide. In addition, the orange capsule (75 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg, 225 mg and 300 mg) shells contain iron oxide red. The imprinting ink contains iron oxide black, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, shellac and strong ammonia solution."
