"IndicationAndUsage": "Temporarily relieves cough due to minor bronchial irritations as may occur with the common cold. Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus and make coughs more productive. Adults and children over 12 years of age: Oral dose in one teaspoonful (5 mL) every 6-8 hours, or as directed by a physician. Children 6 to under 12 years of age: 1/2 teaspoonful (2.5 mL) every 6-8 hours, or as directed by a physician. Children under 6 years of age: Only as directed by a physician."

"IndicationAndUsage": "For the treatment of constipation. In patients with a history of chronic constipation, lactulose solution therapy increases the number of bowel movements per day and the number of days on which bowel movements occur.",
"Description": "Lactulose is a synthetic disaccharide in solution form for oral administration. Each 15 mL of lactulose solution contains; 10 g lactulose (and less than 1.6 g galactose, less than 1.2 g lactose, and 1.2 g or less of other sugars). Also contains water. The pH range is 4.8 to 6.0. Lactulose is a colonic acidifier which promotes laxation. The chemical name for lactulose is 4-O-β-D-galactopyranosyl-D-fructofuranose. The molecular formula is C12H22O11. It has the following structural formula. The molecular weight is 342.30. It is freely soluble in water."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Topiramate tablets are an antiepileptic (AED) agent indicated for: 1 Monotherapy epilepsy: Initial monotherapy in patients ≥ 2 years of age with partial onset or primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (1.1) , 2 Adjunctive therapy epilepsy: Adjunctive therapy for adults and pediatric patients (2 to 16 years of age) with partial onset seizures or primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures, and in patients ≥ 2 years of age with seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome (LGS) (1.2) .",
"Description": "Topiramate, USP is a sulfamate-substituted monosaccharide. Topiramate tablets are available as 25 mg, 100 mg, and 200 mg round tablets for oral administration. Topiramate, USP is a white to off-white powder. Topiramate, USP is freely soluble in dichloromethane. The solubility in water is 9.8 mg/mL. Its saturated solution has a pH of 6.3. Topiramate, USP has the molecular formula C12H21NO8S and a molecular weight of 339.37. Topiramate, USP is designated chemically as 2,3:4,5-Di-O-isopropylidene-β-D-fructopyranose sulfamate and has the following structural formula. Topiramate tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose, iron oxide red (200 mg tablets), iron oxide yellow (100 mg tablets), lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim injection is a combination of sulfamethoxazole, a sulfonamide antimicrobial, and trimethoprim, a dihydrofolate reductase inhibitor antibacterial, indicated in adults and pediatric patients two months of age and older for treatment of infections caused by designated, susceptible bacteria. : 1 Pneumocystis jirovecii Pneumonia (1.1), 2 Shigellosis (1.2), 3 Urinary Tract Infections (1.3).",
"Description": "Sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim injection USP, a sterile, clear, colorless or slightly yellow solution for intravenous infusion only, is a combination of sulfamethoxazole, a sulfonamide antimicrobial, and trimethoprim, a dihydrofolate reductase inhibitor antibacterial. Each mL contains 16 mg trimethoprim, USP and 80 mg sulfamethoxazole, USP compounded with propylene glycol 400 mg (38.6% v/v and 40.0% w/v); dehydrated alcohol 100 mg (12.3% v/v and 10.0% w/v); diethanolamine 3 mg (0.3% v/v and 0.3% w/v); benzyl alcohol 10 mg (1.0% v/v and 1.0% w/v) as a preservative; sodium metabisulfite 1 mg (0.1% w/v) as an antioxidant; water for injection q.s.; air replaced with nitrogen; pH adjusted with sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid if necessary. pH 9.5 to 10.5. Trimethoprim, USP is 2,4-diamino-5-(3,4,5-trimethoxybenzyl)pyrimidine. It is a white to light yellow, odorless, bitter compound with a molecular weight of 290.3 and the following structural formula. Sulfamethoxazole, USP is N1-(5-methyl-3-isoxazolyl) sulfanilamide. It is an almost white, odorless, tasteless compound with a molecular weight of 253.28 and the following structural formula."

"IndicationAndUsage": "GLUMETZA is indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.",
"Description": "GLUMETZA contains the biguanide antihyperglycemic agent metformin in the form of monohydrochloride salt. The chemical name of metformin hydrochloride is N,N-dimethylimidodicarbonimidic diamide hydrochloride. The structural formula is as shown. Metformin hydrochloride is a white to off-white crystalline compound with a molecular formula of C4H11N5HCl and a molecular weight of 165.63. Metformin hydrochloride is freely soluble in water and is practically insoluble in acetone, ether, and chloroform. The pKa of metformin is 12.4. The pH of a 1% aqueous solution of metformin hydrochloride is 6.68. GLUMETZA tablets contain 500 mg or 1,000 mg of metformin hydrochloride, which is equivalent to 389.93 mg or 779.86 mg metformin, respectively. Each 500 mg tablet contains coloring, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and polyethylene oxide. Each 1,000 mg tablet contains colloidal silicon dioxide, polyvinyl alcohol, crospovidone, glyceryl dibehenate, polyacrylate dispersion, hypromellose, talc, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide, simethicone emulsion, polysorbate and coloring."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Metformin is a biguanide indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults and pediatric patients 10 years of age and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus. ( 1).",
"Description": "Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets, USP contain the antihyperglycemic agent metformin, which is a biguanide, in the form of monohydrochloride. The chemical name of metformin hydrochloride is N,N-dimethylimidodicarbonimidic diamide hydrochloride. The structural formula is as shown below. Metformin hydrochloride is a white crystalline compound with a molecular formula of C 4H 11N 5 HCl and a molecular weight of 165.63. Metformin hydrochloride is freely soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, practically insoluble in acetone and in methylene hydrochloride. The pK a of metformin is 12.4. The p H of a 1% aqueous solution of metformin hydrochloride is 6.68. Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets contain 500 mg, 850 mg, or 1000 mg of metformin hydrochloride, which is equivalent to 389.93 mg, 662.88 mg, 779.86 mg metformin base, respectively. Each tablet contains the inactive ingredients pregelatinized starch (maize), povidone, crospovidone, magnesium stearate. In addition, the coating for the tablets contains hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide and flavoring agent contains dextrose, ethyl alcohol, gum arabic, propylene glycol and silicon dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Temporarily relieves cough due to minor bronchial irritations as may occur with the common cold. Helps loosen phlegm (mucus) and thin bronchial secretions to rid the bronchial passageways of bothersome mucus and make coughs more productive. Adults and children over 12 years of age: Oral dose in one teaspoonful (5 mL) every 6-8 hours, or as directed by a physician. Children 6 to under 12 years of age: 1/2 teaspoonful (2.5 mL) every 6-8 hours, or as directed by a physician. Children under 6 years of age: Only as directed by a physician."

The molecular formula is C25H28N8O2 and the molecular weight is 472.54 g/mol. The structural formula is. Linagliptin is a white to yellowish, not or only slightly hygroscopic solid substance. It is very slightly soluble in water (0.9 mg/mL). Linagliptin is soluble in methanol (ca. 60 mg/mL), sparingly soluble in ethanol (ca. 10 mg/mL), very slightly soluble in isopropanol (<1 mg/mL), and very slightly soluble in acetone (ca. 1 mg/mL).
