The sediment resuspends upon shaking to form a homogeneous suspension. FLULAVAL is formulated to contain 45 micrograms (mcg) hemagglutinin (HA) per 0.5‑mL dose in the recommended ratio of 15 mcg HA of each of the following 3 strains: A/Switzerland/6849/2025 IVR‑278 (an A/Missouri/11/2025 pdm09‑like virus) (H1N1), A/Michigan/105/2025 SAN‑049A (an A/Darwin/1454/2025‑like virus) (H3N2), and B/Tokyo/EIS13‑175/2025 (B‑Victoria lineage). These three influenza virus strains are recommended by FDA for the 2026-2027 influenza season. FLULAVAL is formulated without preservatives and does not contain thimerosal. Each 0.5‑mL dose may also contain residual amounts of ovalbumin (≤0.3 mcg), formaldehyde (≤25 mcg), sodium deoxycholate (≤50 mcg), α‑tocopheryl hydrogen succinate (≤240 mcg), and polysorbate 80 (≤665 mcg) from the manufacturing process. Antibiotics are not used in the manufacture of this vaccine. The tip caps and plungers of the prefilled syringes are not made with natural rubber latex."

Bacteriologic cultures should be obtained before the start of therapy to confirm the susceptibility of the organism to rifampin and they should be repeated throughout therapy to monitor the response to treatment. <IndicationAndUsage>FLULAVAL is indicated for active immunization for the prevention of disease caused by influenza A subtype viruses and type B virus contained in the vaccine. FLULAVAL is approved for use in persons aged 6 months and older.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>FLULAVAL, Influenza Vaccine, for intramuscular use, is a trivalent, split‑virion, inactivated influenza virus vaccine prepared from virus propagated in the allantoic cavity of embryonated hens’ eggs. Each of the influenza viruses is produced and purified separately. The virus is inactivated with ultraviolet light treatment followed by formaldehyde treatment, purified by centrifugation, and disrupted with sodium deoxycholate. FLULAVAL is a sterile, opalescent, translucent to off‑white injectable suspension in a phosphate‑buffered saline solution that may sediment slightly. The tip caps and plungers of the prefilled syringes are not made with natural rubber latex.</Description>

<IndicationAndUsage>FLULAVAL QUADRIVALENT is indicated for active immunization for the prevention of disease caused by influenza A subtype viruses and type B viruses contained in the vaccine. FLULAVAL QUADRIVALENT is approved for use in persons aged 6 months and older.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>FLULAVAL QUADRIVALENT, Influenza Vaccine, for intramuscular injection, is a quadrivalent, split-virion, inactivated influenza virus vaccine prepared from virus propagated in the allantoic cavity of embryonated hens’ eggs. Each of the influenza viruses is produced and purified separately. The virus is inactivated with ultraviolet light treatment followed by formaldehyde treatment, purified by centrifugation, and disrupted with sodium deoxycholate. FLULAVAL QUADRIVALENT is a sterile, opalescent, translucent to off-white suspension in a phosphate-buffered saline solution that may sediment slightly. The sediment resuspends upon shaking to form a homogeneous suspension. FLULAVAL QUADRIVALENT has been standardized according to U.S. Public Health Service (USPHS) requirements for the 2023-2024 influenza season and is formulated to contain 60 micrograms (mcg) hemagglutinin (HA) per 0.5‑mL dose in the recommended ratio of 15 mcg HA of each of the following 4 influenza virus strains (2 A strains and 2 B strains): A/Victoria/4897/2022 (H1N1) IVR-238, A/Darwin/9/2021 (H3N2) IVR-228, B/Austria/1359417/2021 BVR-26 (B-Victoria lineage), and B/Phuket/3073/2013 (B-Yamagata lineage). FLULAVAL QUADRIVALENT is formulated without preservatives and does not contain thimerosal. Each 0.5‑mL dose may also contain residual amounts of ovalbumin (≤0.3 mcg), formaldehyde (≤25 mcg), sodium deoxycholate (≤50 mcg), α-tocopheryl hydrogen succinate (≤320 mcg), and polysorbate 80 (≤887 mcg) from the manufacturing process. Antibiotics are not used in the manufacture of this vaccine. The tip caps and plungers of the prefilled syringes of FLULAVAL QUADRIVALENT are not made with natural rubber latex.</Description>

<IndicationAndUsage>In the treatment of both tuberculosis and the meningococcal carrier state, the small number of resistant cells present within large populations of susceptible cells can rapidly become the predominant type. Bacteriologic cultures should be obtained before the start of therapy to confirm the susceptibility of the organism to rifampin and they should be repeated throughout therapy to monitor the response to treatment. Since resistance can emerge rapidly, susceptibility tests should be performed in the event of persistent positive cultures during the course of treatment. If test results show resistance to rifampin and the patient is not responding to therapy, the drug regimen should be modified.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>RIFADIN (rifampin capsules USP) for oral administration contains 150 mg or 300 mg rifampin per capsule.
