"IndicationAndUsage": "Vivotif (Typhoid Vaccine Live Oral Ty21a) is indicated for immunization of adults and children greater than 6 years of age against disease caused by Salmonella typhi. Routine typhoid vaccination is not recommended in the United States of America. Selective immunization against typhoid fever is recommended for the following groups: 1) travelers to areas in which there is a recognized risk of exposure to S. typhi, 2) persons with intimate exposure (e.g. household contact) to a S. typhi carrier, and 3) microbiology laboratorians who work frequently with S. typhi. (7). There is no evidence to support the use of typhoid vaccine to control common source outbreaks, disease following natural disasters or in persons attending rural summer camps. Not all recipients of Vivotif will be fully protected against typhoid fever. Vaccinated individuals should continue to take personal precautions against exposure to typhoid organisms. The vaccine will not afford protection against species of Salmonella other than Salmonella typhi or other bacteria that cause enteric disease. The vaccine is not suitable for treatment of acute infections with S. typhi.",
"Description": "Vivotif (Typhoid Vaccine Live Oral Ty21a) is a live attenuated vaccine for oral administration only. The vaccine contains the attenuated strain Salmonella typhi Ty21a (1,2). Vivotif is manufactured by the Berna Biotech Ltd. The vaccine strain is grown in fermentors under controlled conditions in medium containing a digest of yeast extract, an acid digest of casein, dextrose and galactose. The bacteria are collected by centrifugation, mixed with a stabilizer containing sucrose, ascorbic acid and amino acids, and lyophilized. The lyophilized bacteria are mixed with lactose and magnesium stearate and filled into gelatin capsules which are coated with an organic solution to render them resistant to dissolution in stomach acid. The. enteric-coated, salmon/white capsules are then packaged in 4-capsule blisters for distribution. The contents of each enteric-coated capsule are shown in Table 1. <IndicationAndUsage>Vivotif (Typhoid Vaccine Live Oral Ty21a) is indicated for immunization of adults and children greater than 6 years of age against disease caused by Salmonella typhi. The vaccine is not suitable for treatment of acute infections with S. typhi.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Vivotif (Typhoid Vaccine Live Oral Ty21a) is a live attenuated vaccine for oral administration only. <IndicationAndUsage>Alendronate sodium tablets, USP are indicated for: 1 Treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal womenFor the treatment of osteoporosis, alendronate sodium tablets, USP increase bone mass and reduce the incidence of fractures, including those of the hip and spine (vertebral compression fractures). Osteoporosis may be confirmed by the finding of low bone mass (for example, at least 2 standard deviations below the premenopausal mean) or by the presence or history of osteoporotic fracture. (See CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY, Pharmacodynamics.)For the prevention of osteoporosis, alendronate sodium tablets, USP may be considered in postmenopausal women who are at risk of developing osteoporosis and for whom the desired clinical outcome is to maintain bone mass and to reduce the risk of future fracture.Bone loss is particularly rapid in postmenopausal women younger than age 60. Risk factors often associated with the development of postmenopausal osteoporosis include early menopause; moderately low bone mass (for example, at least 1 standard deviation below the mean for healthy young adult women); thin body build; Caucasian or Asian race; and family history of osteoporosis. The presence of such risk factors may be important when considering the use of alendronate sodium tablets, USP for prevention of osteoporosis., 2 Treatment to increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis., 3 Treatment of glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis in men and women receiving glucocorticoids in a daily dosage equivalent to 7.5 mg or greater of prednisone and who have low bone mineral density (see PRECAUTIONS, Glucocorticoid-induced osteoporosis). Patients treated with glucocorticoids should receive adequate amounts of calcium and vitamin D., 4 Treatment of Paget's disease of bone in men and womenTreatment is indicated in patients with Paget's disease of bone having alkaline phosphatase at least two times the upper limit of normal, or those who are symptomatic, or those at risk for future complications from their disease.</IndicationAndUsage>

<IndicationAndUsage>CADUET (amlodipine and atorvastatin) is indicated in patients for whom treatment with both amlodipine and atorvastatin is appropriate.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>CADUET (amlodipine and atorvastatin) tablets combine the calcium channel blocker amlodipine besylate with the HMG CoA-reductase inhibitor atorvastatin calcium. Amlodipine besylate is chemically described as 3-ethyl-5-methyl (±)-2-[(2-aminoethoxy)methyl]-4-(o-chlorophenyl)-1,4-dihydro-6-methyl-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate, monobenzenesulphonate. Its empirical formula is C20H25ClN2O5∙C6H6O3S. Atorvastatin calcium is chemically described as [R-(R*, R*)]-2-(4-fluorophenyl)-ß, δ-dihydroxy-5-(1-methylethyl)-3-phenyl-4-[(phenylamino)carbonyl]-1H-pyrrole-1-heptanoic acid, calcium salt (2:1) trihydrate. Its empirical formula is (C33H34 FN2O5)2Ca∙3H2O. The structural formulae for amlodipine besylate and atorvastatin calcium are shown below. CADUET contains amlodipine besylate, a white to off-white crystalline powder, and atorvastatin calcium, also a white to off-white crystalline powder. Amlodipine besylate has a molecular weight of 567.1 and atorvastatin calcium has a molecular weight of 1209.42. Amlodipine besylate is slightly soluble in water and sparingly soluble in ethanol. Atorvastatin calcium is insoluble in aqueous solutions of pH 4 and below. Atorvastatin calcium is very slightly soluble in distilled water, pH 7.4 phosphate buffer, and acetonitrile; slightly soluble in ethanol; and freely soluble in methanol. CADUET is available as film-coated tablets containing: 1 5 mg amlodipine equivalent to 6.9 mg amlodipine besylate and 10 mg atorvastatin equivalent to 10.4 mg atorvastatin calcium., 2 5 mg amlodipine equivalent to 6.9 mg amlodipine besylate and 20 mg atorvastatin equivalent to 20.7 mg atorvastatin calcium., 3 5 mg amlodipine equivalent to 6.9 mg amlodipine besylate and 40 mg atorvastatin equivalent to 41.4 mg atorvastatin calcium., 4 5 mg amlodipine equivalent to 6.9 mg amlodipine besylate and 80 mg atorvastatin equivalent to 82.9 mg atorvastatin calcium., 5 10 mg amlodipine equivalent to 13.9 mg amlodipine besylate and 10 mg atorvastatin equivalent to 10.4 mg atorvastatin calcium., 6 10 mg amlodipine equivalent to 13.9 mg amlodipine besylate and 20 mg atorvastatin equivalent to 20.7 mg atorvastatin calcium., 7 10 mg amlodipine equivalent to 13.9 mg amlodipine besylate and 40 mg atorvastatin equivalent to 41.4 mg atorvastatin calcium., 8 10 mg amlodipine equivalent to 13.9 mg amlodipine besylate and 80 mg atorvastatin equivalent to 82.9 mg atorvastatin calcium.</Description>
