"IndicationAndUsage": "Oxycodone Hydrochloride Oral Solution is indicated in adults for the management of pain severe enough to require an opioid analgesic and for which alternative treatments are inadequate. Limitations of UseBecause of the risks of addiction, abuse, and misuse with opioids, which can occur at any dosage or duration [see Warnings and Precautions (5.2)], reserve Oxycodone Hydrochloride Oral Solution for use in patients for whom alternative treatment options [e.g., non-opioid analgesics or opioid combination products]: 1 Have not been tolerated or are not expected to be tolerated,, 2 Have not provided adequate analgesia or are not expected to provide adequate analgesia .",
"Description": "Oxycodone Hydrochloride Oral Solution USP is an opioid agonist, available as a solution in a 5 mg/5 mL (1 mg/mL) strength for oral administration. Chemically, oxycodone hydrochloride is 4, 5α-epoxy-14-hydroxy-3-methoxy-17-methylmorphinan-6-one hydrochloride and has the following structural formula. Oxycodone hydrochloride is a white, odorless crystalline powder derived from the opium alkaloid, thebaine. Oxycodone hydrochloride dissolves in water (1 g in 6 to 7 mL) and is considered slightly soluble in alcohol (octanol water partition coefficient is 0.7). Oxycodone Hydrochloride Oral Solution USP, 5 mg per 5 mL contains the equivalent of 4.5 mg of oxycodone free base per 5 mL's and contains the following inactive ingredients: Poloxamer 188 NF, Sodium Benzoate NF, Citric Acid Anhydrous USP, Glycerin USP, Sorbitol Solution 70% USP, FD&C Red #40, Artificial Black Currant Flavor and Water."

Caffeine, USP (1,3,7-trimethylxanthine), a methylxanthine, is a central nervous system stimulant. It has the following structural formula:. C8H10N4O2. MW = 194.19. Codeine Phosphate, USP (7,8-Didehydro-4,5α-epoxy-3-methoxy-17-methylmorphinan-6α-ol phosphate (1:1)(salt) hemihydrate) is an opioid agonist. It has the following structural formula. C18H21NO3H3PO41/2H2O. MW = 406.37. Inactive Ingredients: pregelatinized starch. colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate. The capsule cap is printed with white ink. The white ink contains shellac glaze, titanium dioxide, ammonium hydroxide, propylene glycol, and simethicone. The capsule body is printed with black ink. The black ink contains shellac glaze, iron oxide black, propylene glycol, and ammonium hydroxide. The capsule shell contains: gelatin, titanium dioxide for both strengths and FD&C red #40, FD&C blue #1 in the Butalbital, Acetaminophen, Caffeine and Codeine Phosphate Capsules, 50 mg/300 mg/40mg/30mg and FD&C red #3, FD&C blue #2, red iron oxide, yellow iron oxide in the Butalbital, Acetaminophen, Caffeine and Codeine Phosphate Capsules, 50 mg/325 mg/40mg/30mg."

The solution contains: edetate disodium, FD&C Red No. 40 powder, flavor mixed berry natural and artificial, hydrochloric acid, polyethylene glycol, potassium sorbate, propylene glycol, purified water, saccharin sodium, sucrose. Hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide may be added to adjust pH. Oxycodone hydrochloride and acetaminophen oral solution contains oxycodone, 14-hydroxydihydrocodeinone, a semisynthetic opioid analgesic which occurs as a white to off-white fine crystalline powder. "Description": "Hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen is supplied in tablet form for oral administration. Hydrocodone bitartrate is an opioid analgesic and antitussive and occurs as fine, white crystals or as a crystalline powder. It is affected by light. The chemical name is: 4,5α- Epoxy-3-methoxy-17-methylmorphinan- 6-one tartrate (1:1) hydrate (2:5). It has the following structural formula:. C 18H 21NO 3C 4H 6O 62½ H 2O M.W.494.49. Acetaminophen, 4’-Hydroxyacetanilide, a slightly bitter, white, odorless, crystalline powder, is a non-opiate, non-salicylate analgesic and antipyretic. It has the following structural formula. C 8H 9NO 2 M.W.151.16. Hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen tablets, USP for oral administration are available in the following strengths. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, pregelatinized starch, and stearic acid.
