"IndicationAndUsage": "Venlafaxine tablets, USP are indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder. The efficacy of venlafaxine tablets, USP in the treatment of major depressive disorder was established in 6-week controlled trials of adult outpatients whose diagnoses corresponded most closely to the DSM-III or DSM-III-R category of major depression and in a 4-week controlled trial of inpatients meeting diagnostic criteria for major depression with melancholia (see CLINICAL TRIALS). A major depressive episode implies a prominent and relatively persistent depressed or dysphoric mood that usually interferes with daily functioning (nearly every day for at least 2 weeks); it should include at least 4 of the following 8 symptoms: change in appetite, change in sleep, psychomotor agitation or retardation, loss of interest in usual activities or decrease in sexual drive, increased fatigue, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, slowed thinking or impaired concentration, and a suicide attempt or suicidal ideation. The efficacy of venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release capsules in maintaining an antidepressant response for up to 26 weeks following 8 weeks of acute treatment was demonstrated in a placebo-controlled trial. The efficacy of venlafaxine tablets, USP in maintaining an antidepressant response in patients with recurrent depression who had responded and continued to be improved during an initial 26 weeks of treatment and were then followed for a period of up to 52 weeks was demonstrated in a second placebo-controlled trial (see CLINICAL TRIALS). Nevertheless, the physician who elects to use venlafaxine tablets, USP/venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release capsules for extended periods should periodically re-evaluate the long-term usefulness of the drug for the individual patient.",
"Description": "Venlafaxine hydrochloride is a structurally novel antidepressant for oral administration. <IndicationAndUsage>HIV-1 Treatment ( 1.1) Emtricitabine and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate tablet is a two-drug combination of emtricitabine (FTC) and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF), both HIV-1 nucleoside analog reverse transcriptase inhibitors, and is indicated: in combination with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and pediatric patients weighing at least 17 kg. HIV-1 PrEP ( 1.2): Emtricitabine and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate tablet is indicated in at-risk adults and adolescents weighing at least 35 kg for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) to reduce the risk of sexually acquired HIV-1 infection. Individuals must have a negative HIV-1 test immediately prior to initiating emtricitabine and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate tablet for HIV-1 PrEP.</IndicationAndUsage>

Emtricitabine and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate tablets are fixed-dose combination tablets containing emtricitabine (FTC) and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (TDF). FTC is a synthetic nucleoside analog of cytidine. TDF is converted in vivoto tenofovir, an acyclic nucleoside phosphonate (nucleotide) analog of adenosine 5′-monophosphate. Both FTC and tenofovir exhibit inhibitory activity against HIV-1 reverse transcriptase. Emtricitabine:The chemical name of FTC is 5-fluoro-1-(2 R,5 S)-[2-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-oxathiolan-5-yl] cytosine. FTC is the (-) enantiomer of a thio analog of cytidine, which differs from other cytidine analogs in that it has a fluorine in the 5-position. It has a molecular formula of C 8H 10FN 3O 3S and a molecular weight of 247.24. It has the following structural formula:. FTC is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a solubility of approximately 112 mg/mL in water at 25°C. The partition coefficient (log p) for emtricitabine is -0.43 and the pKa is 2.65. Tenofovir Disoproxil Fumarate:TDF is a fumaric acid salt of the bis-isopropoxycarbonyloxymethyl ester derivative of tenofovir. The chemical name of tenofovir DF is 9-[( R)-2 [[bis[[(isopropoxycarbonyl)oxy]- methoxy] phosphinyl] methoxy] propyl] adenine fumarate (1:1). It has a molecular formula of C 19H 30N 5O 10P C 4H 4O 4and a molecular weight of 635.52. It has the following structural formula:. Tenofovir disoproxil fumarate is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a solubility of 13.4 mg/mL in water at 25°C. The partition coefficient (log p) for tenofovir disoproxil is 1.25 and the pKa is 3.75. All dosages are expressed in terms of TDF except where otherwise noted. Emtricitabine and tenofovir disoproxil fumarate tablets are for oral administration. Each film-coated tablet containing 200 mg of emtricitabine USP and 300 mg of tenofovir disoproxil fumarate (which is equivalent to 245 mg of tenofovir disoproxil) as active ingredients. The tablets also include the following inactive ingredients: pregelatinized starch (maize), lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, croscarmellose sodium and magnesium stearate. The tablets are coated with Opadry II White which contains hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, titanium dioxide, and triacetin.

The active ingredient in lansoprazole delayed-release orally disintegrating tablet is lansoprazole USP, a substituted benzimidazole, 2-[[[3-methyl-4-(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy)-2-pyridyl] methyl] sulfinyl] benzimidazole, a compound that inhibits gastric acid secretion. Its empirical formula is C16H14F3N3O2S with a molecular weight of 369.37. Lansoprazole USP has the following structure. Lansoprazole USP is a white to brownish-white powder which melts with decomposition at approximately 166°C. Lansoprazole USP is freely soluble in dimethylformamide and practically insoluble in water. Lansoprazole USP is stable when exposed to light for up to two months. The rate of degradation of the compound in aqueous solution increases with decreasing pH. The degradation half-life of the drug substance in aqueous solution at 25°C is approximately 0.5 hour at pH 5.0 and approximately 18 hours at pH 7.0. Lansoprazole USP is supplied as delayed-release orally disintegrating tablets for oral administration. Lansoprazole delayed-release orally disintegrating tablets are available in two dosage strengths: 15 and 30 mg of lansoprazole USP per tablet. Each delayed-release orally disintegrating tablet contains enteric-coated microgranules consisting of 15 or 30 mg of lansoprazole USP (active ingredient) and the following inactive ingredients: aspartame1, citric acid anhydrous powder, crospovidone, ethyl acrylate and methyl methacrylate copolymer dispersion, glyceryl monostearate, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose 3cps, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose 15cps, hydroxypropyl cellulose, low substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose, iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow, magnesium carbonate, mannitol, magnesium stearate, methylacrylic acid ethyl acrylate copolymer dispersion, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium hydroxide, strawberry guarana flavour, sugar spheres, talc, titanium dioxide, and triehtyl citrate. 1 Phenylketonurics: Lansoprazole Delayed-Release Orally Disintegrating Tablets Contain Phenylalanine 2.52 mg per 15 mg Tablet and 5.04 mg per 30 mg Tablet.

<IndicationAndUsage>Venlafaxine tablets, USP are indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder. Nevertheless, the physician who elects to use venlafaxine tablets, USP/venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release capsules for extended periods should periodically re-evaluate the long-term usefulness of the drug for the individual patient.</IndicationAndUsage>

Venlafaxine hydrochloride is a structurally novel antidepressant for oral administration. It is designated (R/S)-1-[2-(dimethylamino)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl]cyclohexanol hydrochloride or (±)-1-[α-[(dimethyl-amino)methyl]-p-methoxybenzyl]cyclohexanol hydrochloride and has the molecular formula of C 17H 27NO 2 HCl. Its molecular weight is 313.87. The structural formula is shown below. Venlafaxine hydrochloride USP is a white or almost white crystalline powder with a solubility of 572 mg/mL in water (adjusted to ionic strength of 0.2 M with sodium chloride). Its octanol:water (0.2 M sodium chloride) partition coefficient is 0.43. Compressed tablets contain venlafaxine hydrochloride USP equivalent to 25 mg, 37.5 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg, or 100 mg venlafaxine. Inactive ingredients consist of lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, ferric oxide brown, ferric oxide yellow, povidone (Kollidone 30), and magnesium stearate.
