"IndicationAndUsage": "Adrenalin® is a non-selective alpha and beta adrenergic agonist indicated for: 1 Emergency treatment of allergic reactions (Type 1), including anaphylaxis (1.1), 2 To increase mean arterial blood pressure in adult patients with hypotension associated with septic shock (1.2).",
"Description": "Adrenalin (epinephrine injection, USP) is a clear, colorless, sterile solution containing 1 mg/mL epinephrine, packaged as 1 mL of solution in a single dose clear glass vial or 30 mL of solution in a multiple dose amber glass vial. In the 1 mL vial, each 1 mL of Adrenalin solution contains 1 mg epinephrine, 7.3 mg sodium chloride, 0.457 mg sodium metabisulfite, 1 mg sodium hydroxide, 2.25 mg tartaric acid, 0.18 mg edetate disodium, 5.32 mg of 4% hydrochloric acid to adjust pH, and water for injection. In the 30 mL vial, each 1 mL of Adrenalin solution contains 1 mg epinephrine, 6.15 mg sodium chloride, 0.457 mg sodium metabisulfite, 0.920 mg sodium hydroxide, 2.25 mg tartaric acid, 0.18 mg edetate disodium, 5.18 mg of 4% hydrochloric acid to adjust pH, 5.0 mg chlorobutanol as a preservative and water for injection. The pH range is 2.2-5.0. Epinephrine is a sympathomimetic catecholamine. The chemical name of epinephrine is: 1,2-Benzenediol, 4-[(1R)-1-hydroxy-2-(methylamino)ethyl]-, or (-)-3,4-Dihydroxy-α-[2-(methylamino)ethyl]benzyl alcohol. The chemical structure of epinephrine is. The molecular weight of epinephrine is 183.2. Epinephrine solution deteriorates rapidly on exposure to air or light, turning pink from oxidation to adrenochrome and brown from the formation of melanin."

"IndicationAndUsage": "For use as an adjunct in the therapy of all forms of parkinsonism. Useful also in the control of extrapyramidal disorders (except tardive dyskinesia - see PRECAUTIONS ) due to neuroleptic drugs (e.g., phenothiazines).",
"Description": "Benztropine mesylate is a synthetic compound containing structural features found in atropine and diphenhydramine. It is a crystalline white powder, very soluble in water, designated as 3α-(Diphenylmethoxy)-1αH, 5αH-tropane methanesulfonate, with the following structural formula. Each tablet, for oral administration, contains 0.5 mg, 1 mg or 2 mg of benztropine mesylate.Each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and pregelatinized starch."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Olanzapine is an atypical antipsychotic indicated. As oral formulation for the. Treatment of schizophrenia. ( 1.1). Adults: Efficacy was established in three clinical trials in patients with schizophrenia: two 6-week trials and one maintenance trial. ( 14.1). Adolescents (ages 13 to 17): Efficacy was established in one 6-week trial in patients with schizophrenia ( 14.1). The increased potential (in adolescents compared with adults) for weight gain and dyslipidemia may lead clinicians to consider prescribing other drugs first in adolescents. ( 1.1). Acute treatment of manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder and maintenance treatment of bipolar I disorder. ( 1.2). Adults: Efficacy was established in three clinical trials in patients with manic or mixed episodes of bipolar I disorder: two 3- to 4-week trials and one maintenance trial. ( 14.2). Adolescents (ages 13 to 17): Efficacy was established in one 3-week trial in patients with manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder ( 14.2). The increased potential (in adolescents compared with adults) for weight gain and dyslipidemia may lead clinicians to consider prescribing other drugs first in adolescents. ( 1.2). Medication therapy for pediatric patients with schizophrenia or bipolar I disorder should be undertaken only after a thorough diagnostic evaluation and with careful consideration of the potential risks. ( 1.3). Adjunct to valproate or lithium in the treatment of manic or mixed episodes associated with bipolar I disorder. ( 1.2). Efficacy was established in two 6-week clinical trials in adults ( 14.2). Maintenance efficacy has not been systematically evaluated. As Olanzapine and Fluoxetine in Combination for the. Treatment of depressive episodes associated with bipolar I disorder. ( 1.5). Efficacy was established with Symbynax (olanzapine and fluoxetine in combination); refer to the product label for Symbyax. Treatment of treatment resistant depression. ( 1.6). Efficacy was established with Symbyax (olanzapine and fluoxetine in combination) in adults; refer to the product label for Symbyax.",
"Description": "Olanzapine is an atypical antipsychotic that belongs to the thienobenzodiazepine class. The chemical designation is 2-methyl-4-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)- 10H-thieno[2,3- b] [1,5]benzodiazepine. The molecular formula is C17H20N4S, which corresponds to a molecular weight of 312.44. The chemical structure is. Olanzapine, USP is a yellow crystalline solid, which is practically insoluble in water. Olanzapine tablets, USP are intended for oral administration only. Each tablet contains olanzapine equivalent to 2.5 mg (8 μmol), 5 mg (16 μmol), 7.5 mg (24 μmol), 10 mg (32 μmol), 15 mg (48 μmol), or 20 mg (64 μmol). Inactive ingredients are crospovidone, magnesium stearate, mannitol and microcrystalline cellulose. For olanzapine tablets, USP: Meets USP Dissolution Test 2. Olanzapine orally disintegrating tablets, USP are intended for oral administration only. Each orally disintegrating tablet contains olanzapine equivalent to 5 mg (16 μmol), 10 mg (32 μmol), 15 mg (48 μmol) or 20 mg (64 μmol). It begins disintegrating in the mouth within seconds, allowing its contents to be subsequently swallowed with or without liquid. Olanzapine orally disintegrating tablets, USP also contain the following inactive ingredients: aspartame, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, mannitol and microcrystalline cellulose. For olanzapine orally disintegrating tablets, USP: Meets USP Disintegration Test 2."

"IndicationAndUsage": "MEPHYTON is indicated in the following coagulation disorders which are due to faulty formation of factors II, VII, IX and X when caused by vitamin K deficiency or interference with vitamin K activity. MEPHYTON tablets are indicated in: 1 anticoagulant-induced prothrombin deficiency caused by coumarin or indanedione derivatives;, 2 hypoprothrombinemia secondary to antibacterial therapy;, 3 hypoprothrombinemia secondary to administration of salicylates;, 4 hypoprothrombinemia secondary to obstructive jaundice or biliary fistulas but only if bile salts are administered concurrently, since otherwise the oral vitamin K will not be absorbed.",
"Description": "Phytonadione is a vitamin which is a clear, yellow to amber, viscous, and nearly odorless liquid. It is insoluble in water, soluble in chloroform and slightly soluble in ethanol. It has a molecular weight of 450.70. Phytonadione is 2-methyl-3-phytyl-1, 4-naphthoquinone. Its empirical formula is C31H46O2 and its structural formula is. MEPHYTONRegistered trademark of MERCK & CO., Inc. COPYRIGHT © 1986, 1991, MERCK& CO., Inc. All rights reserved (Phytonadione) tablets containing 5 mg of phytonadione are yellow, compressed tablets, scored on one side. "IndicationAndUsage": "Doxepin hydrochloride capsules are indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults.",
"Description": "Doxepin is a tricyclic antidepressant. The molecular formula of doxepin hydrochloride, USP is C19H21NOHCl with a molecular weight of 315.84. It is a white or almost white crystalline powder freely soluble in water, in alcohol and methylene chloride. Doxepin is a dibenzoxepin derivative. Specifically, it is an isomeric mixture of: 1-Propanamine, 3-dibenz[b,e]oxepin-11(6H)ylidene-N,N-dimethyl-, hydrochloride. The structural formula of doxepin is shown below. Doxepin hydrochloride, USP. Doxepin hydrochloride capsules, USP is for oral administration. Active ingredients for the capsules include: 10 mg, 25, mg, 50 mg, 75 mg, 100 mg, and 150 mg of doxepin (equivalent to 11.31 mg, 28.26 mg, 56.53 mg, 84.79 mg, 113.05 mg, and 169.58 mg of doxepin hydrochloride, respectively). Capsule inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, sodium lauryl sulfate and magnesium stearate. The hard gelatin capsule shell contains titanium dioxide, gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, FD & C Yellow 6, D & C Yellow 10 and FD & C Green 3. The imprinting ink contains shellac, propylene glycol, black iron oxide and potassium hydroxide. Doxepin hydrochloride capsules meet USP Dissolution Test 3."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Tizanidine is a central alpha-2-adrenergic agonist indicated for the treatment of spasticity. (1).",
"Description": "Tizanidine Tablets contains tizanidine hydrochloride as the active ingredient, which is a central alpha2-adrenergic agonist. Its chemical name is 5-chloro-4-(2-imidazolin-2-ylamino)-2,1,3- benzothiadiazole monohydrochloride. It has a molecular formula of C9H8ClN5S-HCl and a molecular weight of 290.2. Its structural formula is. Tizanidine hydrochloride is a white to off-white, fine crystalline powder, which is odorless or with a faint characteristic odor. Tizanidine hydrochloride is slightly soluble in water and methanol; solubility in water decreases as the pH increases. Tizanidine tablets, are for oral administration and contain 2 or 4 mg tizanidine (equivalent to 2.288 mg and 4.576 mg tizanidine hydrochloride, respectively), and the inactive ingredients anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, microcrystalline cellulose, and stearic acid."

"Description": "Duloxetine delayed-release capsules, USP are a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) for oral administration. Its chemical designation is (γS)-N-Methyl-γ-(1-napthalenyloxy)-2-thiophenepropanamine hydrochloride. The empirical formula is C 18H 19NOSHCl, which corresponds to a molecular weight of 333.87. The structural formula is:. Duloxetine hydrochloride, USP is an off-white to white colored crystalline powder which is freely soluble in methanol and sparingly soluble in water. Each capsule contains film-coated pellets of 22.4, 33.7, or 67.3 mg of duloxetine hydrochloride, USP equivalent to 20, 30, or 60 mg of duloxetine, respectively. Inactive ingredients include crospovidone, FD & C Blue 2, gelatin, hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose acetate succinate, hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium lauryl sulfate, sucrose, sugar spheres, talc, titanium dioxide and triethyl citrate. In addition, the 20 mg and 60 mg capsules also contain iron oxide yellow. The imprinting ink contains propylene glycol, shellac, and strong ammonia solution. The 20 mg capsule also contains black iron oxide and potassium hydroxide. The 30 mg capsule also contains yellow iron oxide. The 60 mg capsule also contains potassium hydroxide and titanium dioxide."

"Description": "Pregabalin, USP is described chemically as (S)-3-(aminomethyl)-5-methylhexanoic acid. The molecular formula is C8H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 159.23. The chemical structure of pregabalin is. Pregabalin is a white to off-white, crystalline solid with a pKa1 of 4.2 and a pKa2 of 10.6. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is - 1.35.Pregabalin capsules are administered orally and are supplied as imprinted hard-shell capsules containing 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 225, and 300 mg of pregabalin, along with lactose monohydrate, pregelatinized starch, talc as inactive ingredients. The capsule shells contain gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate and titanium dioxide. In addition, the orange capsule shells contain red iron oxide and the imprinting ink contains shellac, black iron oxide, propylene glycol, and potassium hydroxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Allergenic extract may be used as a diagnostic skin test reagent in persons suspected of being sensitive to the allergenic source material from which the extract is made. Skin tests should be used in conjunction with a thorough allergic history to establish the relevance of a given allergen in the etiology of allergic disease.(4,5,6). Immunotherapy with allergenic extract is indicated in persons suffering from allergic rhinitis, bronchitis, conjunctivitis, urticaria and asthma. The therapeutic efficacy of allergenic extract has been proven in ragweed, grass, and mountain cedar pollinosis, cat-induced asthma and hypersensitivity to hymenoptera venoms.(7-12). Immunotherapy may be used along with or exclusive of antihistamines and other medications used to control allergic symptoms.",
"Description": "Allergenic extract contains the aqueous extractables from allergenic source material in extracting solution containing 0.25% sodium chloride, 0.125% sodium bicarbonate, and 50% glycerol. 0.4% phenol is added as a preservative. The weight by volume value shown on the label is a measurement of extract concentration, rather than extract potency."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Immunotherapy using allergenic extracts is indicated for use in patients with severe allergy symptoms (hay fever, rhinitis, etc.) to pollens, molds, insects, animal danders and various other allergens. Immunotherapy is intended for patients whose symptoms are not satisfactorily controlled by avoidance of the offending allergen or by the use of symptomatic medications. Treatment uses only those specific allergens that the patient is sensitive to based on diagnostic tests and medical history. It is not intended for treatment of patients who do not manifest immediate hypersensitivity reactions to the allergenic extract following skin testing.",
"Description": "Therapeutic extracts (concentrates) are designed primarily for the physician equipped to prepare dilutions and mixtures as necessary. Allergenic Extracts are manufactured from various biological allergenic source materials including pollens, molds, epidermals, insects, food and environmental inhalants. The extraction is performed in a glycerin solution and the resulting concentration is expressed as weight to volume (w/v) ratio. This is the weight of dry pollen in grams to volume of glycerin extracting solution in milliliters. Extracts are filtered and sterile filled. Tests include those for safety and sterility. The route of administration is subcutaneous. Scratch diagnostic extracts are of the same therapeutic extract formulation and their route of administration is percutaneous. Intradermal diagnostic extracts are dilutions of the therapeutic extracts using Sterile Diluent for Allergenic Extract. The following allergenic extracts are designated and labeled “FOR DIAGNOSTIC USE ONLY”. Data to support the therapeutic use of these extracts has not been established: Coffee Cottonseed Flaxseed Housefly Mosquito. The strength of Standardized Short Ragweed and Ragweed Mix, Giant and Short extracts is described (in addition to w/v) as antigen E content. The concentration of antigen E per milliliter of the final preparation as determined by radial immunodiffusion (RID). The antigen E content of an extract is influenced by several variables. These include antigen E content of the pollen, nature of extracting solutions, ratio of pollen weight to volume of extracting solution and storage conditions. Variables which influence antigen E stability during storage conditions include nature of the solvent, antigen E concentration and storage temperature. Glycerin is a stabilizer of antigen E and other allergens."

"Description": "Olanzapine USP is an atypical antipsychotic that belongs to the thienobenzodiazepine class. The chemical designation is 2-methyl-4-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-10H-thieno[2,3-b] [1,5]benzodiazepine. The molecular formula is C17H20N4S, which corresponds to a molecular weight of 312.44. The chemical structure is. Olanzapine USP is a yellow crystalline solid, which is practically insoluble in water. Olanzapine tablets USP are intended for oral administration only. Each tablet contains olanzapine USP equivalent to 15 mg (48 μmol) and 20 mg (64 µmol). Inactive ingredients are crospovidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel PH 101) and microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel PH 102). The color coating contains hypromellose, polyethylene glycol 400 and titanium dioxide. This product meets the requirements of USP Dissolution Test 2."

"Description": "Celecoxib is chemically designated as 4-[5-(4-methylphenyl)- 3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl] benzenesulfonamide and is a diaryl-substituted pyrazole. The empirical formula is C17H14F3N3O2S, and the molecular weight is 381.38; the chemical structure is as follows. Chemical Structure. Celecoxib oral capsules contain either 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg or 400 mg of celecoxib, together with inactive ingredients including: croscarmellose sodium, edible inks, gelatin, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone and sodium lauryl sulfate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Major Depressive Disorder–Sertraline hydrochloride tablets are indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder in adults. The efficacy of sertraline hydrochloride in the treatment of a major depressive episode was established in six to eight week controlled trials of adult outpatients whose diagnoses corresponded most closely to the DSM-III category of major depressive disorder (see Clinical Trials under CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY). A major depressive episode implies a prominent and relatively persistent depressed or dysphoric mood that usually interferes with daily functioning (nearly every day for at least 2 weeks); it should include at least 4 of the following 8 symptoms: change in appetite, change in sleep, psychomotor agitation or retardation, loss of interest in usual activities or decrease in sexual drive, increased fatigue, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, slowed thinking or impaired concentration, and a suicide attempt or suicidal ideation. The antidepressant action of sertraline hydrochloride in hospitalized depressed patients has not been adequately studied. The efficacy of sertraline hydrochloride in maintaining an antidepressant response for up to 44 weeks following 8 weeks of open-label acute treatment (52 weeks total) was demonstrated in a placebo-controlled trial. The usefulness of the drug in patients receiving sertraline hydrochloride for extended periods should be reevaluated periodically (see Clinical Trials under CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY). Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder–Sertraline hydrochloride tablets are indicated for the treatment of obsessions and compulsions in patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), as defined in the DSM-III-R; i.e., the obsessions or compulsions cause marked distress, are time-consuming, or significantly interfere with social or occupational functioning. Panic disorder (DSM-IV) is characterized by recurrent unexpected panic attacks, i.e., a discrete period of intense fear or discomfort in which four (or more) of the following symptoms develop abruptly and reach a peak within 10 minutes: (1) palpitations, pounding heart, or accelerated heart rate; (2) sweating; (3) trembling or shaking; (4) sensations of shortness of breath or smothering; (5) feeling of choking; (6) chest pain or discomfort; (7) nausea or abdominal distress; (8) feeling dizzy, unsteady, lightheaded, or faint; (9) derealization (feelings of unreality) or depersonalization (being detached from oneself); (10) fear of losing control; (11) fear of dying; (12) paresthesias (numbness or tingling sensations); (13) chills or hot flushes. The efficacy of sertraline hydrochloride in the treatment of PMDD was established in 2 placebo-controlled trials of female adult outpatients treated for 3 menstrual cycles who met criteria for the DSM-III-R/IV category of PMDD (see Clinical Trials under CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY). The essential features of PMDD include markedly depressed mood, anxiety or tension, affective lability, and persistent anger or irritability. Other features include decreased interest in activities, difficulty concentrating, lack of energy, change in appetite or sleep, and feeling out of control. Physical symptoms associated with PMDD include breast tenderness, headache, joint and muscle pain, bloating and weight gain. These symptoms occur regularly during the luteal phase and remit within a few days following onset of menses; the disturbance markedly interferes with work or school or with usual social activities and relationships with others. In making the diagnosis, care should be taken to rule out other cyclical mood disorders that may be exacerbated by treatment with an antidepressant. The effectiveness of sertraline hydrochloride in long-term use, that is, for more than 3 menstrual cycles, has not been systematically evaluated in controlled trials. Therefore, the physician who elects to use sertraline hydrochloride for extended periods should periodically re-evaluate the long-term usefulness of the drug for the individual patient (see DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION). Social Anxiety Disorder – Sertraline hydrochloride tablets are indicated for the treatment of social anxiety disorder, also known as social phobia in adults. The efficacy of sertraline hydrochloride in the treatment of social anxiety disorder was established in two placebo-controlled trials of adult outpatients with a diagnosis of social anxiety disorder as defined by DSM-IV criteria (see Clinical Trials under CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY). Social anxiety disorder, as defined by DSM-IV, is characterized by marked and persistent fear of social or performance situations involving exposure to unfamiliar people or possible scrutiny by others and by fears of acting in a humiliating or embarrassing way. Exposure to the feared social situation almost always provokes anxiety and feared social or performance situations are avoided or else are endured with intense anxiety or distress. In addition, patients recognize that the fear is excessive or unreasonable and the avoidance and anticipatory anxiety of the feared situation is associated with functional impairment or marked distress. The efficacy of sertraline hydrochloride in maintaining a response in adult patients with social anxiety disorder for up to 24 weeks following 20 weeks of sertraline hydrochloride treatment was demonstrated in a placebo-controlled trial. "Description": "Sertraline hydrochloride is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) for oral administration. It has a molecular weight of 342.7. Sertraline hydrochloride has the following chemical name: (1S-cis)-4-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-N-methyl-1-naphthalenamine hydrochloride. The molecular formula C17H17NCl2HCl is represented by the following molecular structure. Sertraline hydrochloride is a white to off-white crystalline powder that is slightly soluble in water and isopropyl alcohol, and sparingly soluble in ethanol. Sertraline hydrochloride is supplied for oral administration as scored tablets containing sertraline hydrochloride equivalent to 25, 50, 100, 150, and 200 mg of sertraline and the following inactive ingredients: dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, sodium starch glycolate, talc, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain effectiveness of doxycycline hyclate and other antibacterial drugs, doxycycline hyclate should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria. When culture and susceptibility information are available, they should be considered in selecting or modifying antibacterial therapy. In the absence of such data, local epidemiology and susceptibility patterns may contribute to the empiric selection of therapy.",
"Description": "Doxycycline is an antibacterial drug synthetically derived from oxytetracycline, and is available as doxycycline hyclate, USP (doxycycline hydrochloride hemiethanolate hemihydrate) for oral administration. The structural formula of doxycycline hyclate is. with a molecular formula of (C 22H 24N 2O 8HCl) 2C 2H 6OH 2O and a molecular weight of 1025.89. The chemical designation for doxycycline is 4-(Dimethylamino)-1,4,4a,5,5a,6,11,12a-octahydro-3,5,10,12,12a-pentahydroxy-6-methyl-1,11-dioxo-2-naphthacenecarboxamide monohydrochloride, compound with ethyl alcohol (2:1), monohydrate. Doxycycline hyclate is a yellow crystalline powder which is soluble in water. Doxycycline has a high degree of lipoid solubility and a low affinity for calcium binding. It is highly stable in normal human serum. Doxycycline will not degrade into an epianhydro form. Each capsule, for oral administration, contains doxycycline hyclate, USP equivalent to 50 mg or 100 mg of doxycycline. Each tablet, for oral administration, contains doxycycline hyclate, USP equivalent to 100 mg of doxycycline. Doxycycline Hyclate Capsules USP 50 mg and 100 mg contain the following inactive ingredients: magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose. The capsule shells contain: FD&C Blue No. 1, gelatin and titanium dioxide. Doxycycline Hyclate Tablets USP 100 mg contain the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, FD&C Red No. 40, FD&C Yellow No. 6, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium lauryl sulfate and titanium dioxide."
