"IndicationAndUsage": "Prednisone Tablets, USP are indicated in the following conditions. 1. Endocrine Disorders. Primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency (hydrocortisone or cortisone is the first choice; synthetic analogs may be used in conjunction with mineralocorticoids where applicable; in infancy mineralocorticoid supplementation is of particular importance). Congenital adrenal hyperplasia Nonsuppurative thyroiditis. 2. Rheumatic Disorders. As adjunctive therapy for short-term administration (to tide the patient over an acute episode or exacerbation) in. Psoriatic arthritis Rheumatoid arthritis, including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (selected cases may require low-dose maintenance therapy) Ankylosing spondylitis Acute and subacute bursitis Acute nonspecific tenosynovitis Acute gouty arthritis Post-traumatic osteoarthritis Synovitis of osteoarthritis Epicondylitis. 3. "Description": "Prednisone is a glucocorticoid. Glucocorticoids are adrenocortical steroids, both naturally occurring and synthetic, which are readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Prednisone is a white to practically white, odorless, crystalline powder. It is very slightly soluble in water; slightly soluble in alcohol, in chloroform, in dioxane, and in methanol. The chemical name for prednisone is pregna-1, 4-diene-3, 11, 20-trione, 17, 21-dihydroxy-. The structural formula is represented below. Molecular weight: 358.44. Prednisone Tablets, USP are available in three strengths: 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg. In addition, each tablet contains the following Inactive Ingredients: Lactose Monohydrate, Magnesium Stearate, Pregelatinized Starch, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Starch Glycolate. Also Prednisone Tablets USP, 20 mg contains FD & C yellow #6 aluminum lake HT 15-18%."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Sugammadex is indicated for the reversal of neuromuscular blockade induced by rocuronium bromide and vecuronium bromide in adult and pediatric patients aged 2 years and older undergoing surgery. Additional pediatric use information is approved for Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC’s BRIDION ®(sugammadex) injection. However, due to Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC’s marketing exclusivity rights, this drug product is not labeled with that information.",
"Description": "Sugammadex injection, for intravenous use, contains sugammadex sodium, a modified gamma cyclodextrin chemically designated as 6 A,6 B,6 C,6 D,6 E,6 F,6 G,6 H-Octakis-S-(2-carboxyethyl)-6 A,6 B,6 C,6 D,6 E,6 F,6 G,6 H-octathio- γ-cyclodextrin sodium salt(1:8) with a molecular weight of 2178.01. The structural formula is:. Sugammadex injection is supplied as a sterile, non-pyrogenic aqueous solution that is clear, colorless to slightly yellow-brown for intravenous injection only. Each mL contains 100 mg sugammadex, which is equivalent to 108.8 mg sugammadex sodium. The aqueous solution is adjusted to a pH of between 7 and 8 with hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide. The osmolality of the product is between 300 and 500 mOsmol/kg. Sugammadex injection may contain up to 7 mg/mL of the mono OH-derivative of sugammadex [see Clinical Pharmacology (12.2)] . This derivative is chemically designated as 6 A,6 B,6 C,6 D,6 E,6 F,6 G-Heptakis-S-(2-carboxyethyl)-6 A,6 B,6 C,6 D,6 E,6 F,6 G-heptathio- γ-cyclodextrin sodiumsalt (1:7) with a molecular weight of 2067.90. "IndicationAndUsage": "Montelukast sodium chewable tablets are a leukotriene receptor antagonist indicated for: Prophylaxis and chronic treatment of asthma in patients 2 years of age and older ( 1.1). Acute prevention of exercise-induced bronchoconstriction (EIB) in patients 6 years of age and older ( 1.2). Relief of symptoms of allergic rhinitis (AR): seasonal allergic rhinitis (SAR) in patients 2 years of age and older, and perennial allergic rhinitis (PAR) in patients 2 years of age and older. Reserve use for patients who have an inadequate response or intolerance to alternative therapies ( 1.3).",
"Description": "Montelukast sodium, USP the active ingredient in montelukast sodium chewable tablets, is a selective and orally active leukotriene receptor antagonist that inhibits the cysteinyl leukotriene CysLT 1 receptor. Montelukast sodium, USP is described chemically as 1-[[[(1R)-1-[3-[(1E)-2-(7-Chloro-2-quinolinyl) ethenyl] phenyl]-3-[2- (1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl) phenyl] propyl] thio] methyl] cyclopropane acetic acid, sodium salt. The empirical formula is C 35H 35ClNNaO 3S, and its molecular weight is 608.17. The structural formula is:. Montelukast sodium, USP is a hygroscopic, optically active, white or almost white colored powder. Montelukast sodium, USP is freely soluble in water and in methylene chloride, freely soluble to very soluble in alcohol. Each 4-mg and 5-mg chewable montelukast sodium tablets contain 4.16 and 5.2 mg montelukast sodium USP, respectively, which are equivalent to 4 mg and 5 mg of montelukast, respectively. Both chewable tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: art cherry flavor, aspartame, croscarmellose sodium, ferric oxide red, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, mannitol and microcrystalline cellulose."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Metoprolol succinate, is a beta-adrenergic blocker indicated for the treatment of: 1 Hypertension, to lower blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions. ( 1.1) , 2 Angina Pectoris. ( 1.2) , 3 Heart Failure, to reduce the risk of cardiovascular mortality and heart failure hospitalizations in patients with heart failure. ( 1.3) .",
"Description": "Metoprolol succinate, is a beta 1-selective (cardioselective) adrenoceptor blocking agent, for oral administration, available as extended-release tablets. Metoprolol Succinate Extended-Release Tablets, USP have been formulated to provide a controlled and predictable release of metoprolol for once-daily administration. The tablets comprise a multiple unit system containing metoprolol succinate in a multitude of controlled release pellets. Each pellet acts as a separate drug delivery unit and is designed to deliver metoprolol continuously over the dosage interval. The tablets contain 23.75, 47.5, 95 and 190 mg of metoprolol succinate equivalent to 25, 50, 100 and 200 mg of metoprolol tartrate, USP, respectively. Its chemical name is (±)1-(isopropyl amino)-3-[p-(2-methoxyethyl)phenoxy]-2-propanol succinate (2:1) (salt). Its structural formula is:. Metoprolol succinate, USP is a white crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 652.8. It is freely soluble in water; soluble in methanol; sparingly soluble in ethanol; slightly soluble in dichloromethane and 2-propanol; practically insoluble in ethyl-acetate, acetone, diethyl ether and heptane. Inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, ethylcellulose, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate (25 mg and 50 mg), magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol-partially hydrolyzed, sugar spheres (composed of corn starch and sucrose), talc, titanium dioxide and triethyl citrate. FDA approved dissolution test specifications differ from USP."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets are indicated for.",
"Description": "The active ingredient in pantoprazole sodium delayed-release tablets, USP, a PPI, is a substituted benzimidazole, 5-(Difluoromethoxy)-2-[[(3,4-dimethoxy-2-pyridyl)methyl] sulfinyl]benzimidazole, sodium salt, sesquihydrate, a compound that inhibits gastric acid secretion. Its empirical formula is C 16H 14F 2N 3NaO 4S . 1.5 H 2O, with a molecular weight of 432.4. The structural formula is:. Pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate, USP is a white to off-white powder. Pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate, USP is freely soluble in water, in methanol, in dehydrated alcohol, practically insoluble in hexane and dichloromethane. The stability of the compound in aqueous solution is pH-dependent. The rate of degradation increases with decreasing pH. At ambient temperature, the degradation half-life is approximately 2.8 hours at pH 5 and approximately 220 hours at pH 7.8. Pantoprazole Sodium is supplied as a delayed-release tablet, available in two strengths (20 mg and 40 mg). Each Pantoprazole Sodium Delayed-Release Tablet, USP contains 45.11 mg or 22.55 mg of pantoprazole sodium sesquihydrate, USP (equivalent to 40 mg or 20 mg pantoprazole, respectively) with the following inactive ingredients: calcium stearate, carnauba wax, ferric oxide yellow, hydroxy propyl cellulose, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, methacrylic acid copolymer, polysorbate 80, propylene glycol, sodium carbonate anhydrous, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide and triethyl citrate. The tablets are imprinted with opacode black containing ammonium hydroxide, iron oxide black, propylene glycol and shellac. Pantoprazole Sodium Delayed-Release Tablets, (40 mg and 20 mg) complies with USP dissolution test 2."

"Description": "Saxagliptin is an orally-active inhibitor of the DPP-4 enzyme. Saxagliptin monohydrate is described chemically as (1S,3S,5S)-2-[(2S)-2-Amino-2-(3-hydroxytricyclo[3.3.1.13,7]dec-1-yl)acetyl]-2-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-3-carbonitrile, monohydrate or (1S,3S,5S)-2-[(2S)-2-Amino-2-(3-hydroxyadamantan-1-yl)acetyl]-2-azabicyclo[3.1.0]hexane-3-carbonitrile hydrate. The empirical formula is C18H25N3O2H2O and the molecular weight is 333.43. The structural formula is. Saxagliptin monohydrate is a white to off-white powder. It is soluble in methanol, ethanol; sparingly soluble in water. Each film-coated tablet of saxagliptin for oral use contains either 2.79 mg saxagliptin hydrochloride equivalent to 2.5 mg saxagliptin or 5.58 mg saxagliptin hydrochloride equivalent to 5 mg saxagliptin and the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose. In addition, the film coating contains the following inactive ingredients: hypromellose, iron oxide yellow (2.5 mg tablet only), iron oxide red (5 mg tablet only), polyethylene glycol and titanium dioxide. The imprinting ink contains the following: ammonium hydroxide, n-butyl alcohol, FD&C blue #2, isopropyl alcohol, propylene glycol and shellac."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Calcium gluconate injection is indicated for pediatric and adult patients for the treatment of acute symptomatic hypocalcemia. Limitations of Use. The safety of calcium gluconate injection for long term use has not been established.",
"Description": "Calcium gluconate injection, USP is a sterile, preservative-free, nonpyrogenic, supersaturated solution of calcium gluconate, a form of calcium, for intravenous use. Calcium gluconate is calcium D-gluconate (1:2) monohydrate. The structural formula is. Molecular formula: C12H22CaO14 H2O. Molecular weight: 448.39. Solubility in water: 3.5 g/100 mL at 25°C. Calcium gluconate injection, USP is available as 5,000 mg per 50 mL (100 mg per mL) in a single-dose vial, or 10,000 mg per 100 mL (100 mg per mL) in a pharmacy bulk package. Each mL of calcium gluconate injection, USP contains 100 mg of calcium gluconate (equivalent to 94 mg of calcium gluconate and 4.5 mg of calcium saccharate tetrahydrate), hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment (6.0 to 8.2) and sterile water for injection, q.s. It contains no antimicrobial agent. Each mL of calcium gluconate injection, USP contains 9.3 mg (0.465 mEq) of elemental calcium."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Injection is indicated in adults for the production of local or regional anesthesia or analgesia for surgery and oral surgery procedures, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and for obstetrical procedures. Specific concentrations and presentations of Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Injection are recommended for each type of block indicated to produce local or regional anesthesia or analgesia [see Dosage and Administration (2.2)]. Limitations of Use. Not all blocks are indicated for use with Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Injection given clinically significant risks associated with use [see Dosage and Administration (2.2), Contraindications (4), Warnings and Precautions (5.1, 5.4, 5.5, 5.7, 5.9)].",
"Description": "Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Injection, USP contains bupivacaine hydrochloride, an amide local anesthetic, as the active pharmaceutical ingredient. The route of administration for Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Injection, USP is by injection, for infiltration, perineural, caudal, epidural, or retrobulbar use. Bupivacaine hydrochloride is 2-piperidinecarboxamide, 1-butyl-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-, monohydrochloride, monohydrate. It is a white crystalline powder that is freely soluble in 95 percent ethanol, soluble in water, and slightly soluble in chloroform or acetone. It has the following structural formula. Bupivacaine Hydrochloride Injection, USP is a clear and colorless sterile isotonic solution. Each mL of single-dose vial contains 2.5 mg, 5 mg or 7.5 mg of bupivacaine hydrochloride (equivalent to 2.22 mg, 4.44 mg or 6.66 mg of bupivacaine, respectively), sodium chloride for isotonicity, sodium hydroxide or hydrochloric acid to adjust the pH between 4.0 and 6.5, in water for injection."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Celecoxib capsules are indicated.",
"Description": "Celecoxib capsules are a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, available as capsules containing 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg and 400 mg celecoxib, USP for oral administration. The chemical name is 4-[5-(4-methylphenyl)-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl] benzenesulfonamide and is a diaryl-substituted pyrazole. It has the following chemical structure. C 17H 14F 3N 3O 2S M.W. 381.38. Celecoxib, USP is a white to almost white powder with a pKa of 11.1 (sulfonamide moiety). Celecoxib, USP is hydrophobic (log P is 3.5) and is practically insoluble in aqueous media at physiological pH range. The inactive ingredients in celecoxib capsules include: black iron oxide, crospovidone, dehydrated alcohol, FD&C Blue No.1, gelatin, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone, shellac, sodium lauryl sulfate, and titanium dioxide. The 50 mg, 200 mg and 400 mg capsules also contain D&C Yellow No. 10. The 50 mg, 100 mg and 200 mg capsules also contain D&C Red No. 28. The 400 mg capsule also contains FD&C Yellow No. 6."

Its structural formula is. C 20H 25ClN 2O 5C 6H 6O 3S M.W. 567.1. Amlodipine besylate, USP is a white crystalline powder. It is slightly soluble in water and sparingly soluble in ethanol. Amlodipine besylate tablets USP are formulated as white to off-white tablets equivalent to 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg of amlodipine for oral administration. In addition to the active ingredient, amlodipine besylate, USP, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: calcium phosphate dibasic anhydrous, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium starch glycolate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Therapy with lipid-altering agents should be only one component of multiple risk factor intervention in individuals at significantly increased risk for atherosclerotic vascular disease due to hypercholesterolemia. Drug therapy is indicated as an adjunct to diet when the response to a diet restricted in saturated fat and cholesterol and other nonpharmacologic measures alone has been inadequate.",
"Description": "Ezetimibe and simvastatin tablets contains ezetimibe USP, a selective inhibitor of intestinal cholesterol and related phytosterol absorption, and simvastatin USP, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor. The chemical name of ezetimibe is 1-(4-fluorophenyl)-3(R)-[3-(4-fluorophenyl)-3(S)-hydroxypropyl]-4(S)-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-azetidinone. The molecular formula is C 24H 21F 2NO 3 and its molecular weight is 409.4. Ezetimibe, USP is a white, crystalline powder that is freely to very soluble in ethanol, methanol, and acetone and practically insoluble in water. Its structural formula is. Simvastatin, USP an inactive lactone, is hydrolyzed to the corresponding β-hydroxyacid form, which is an inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase. Simvastatin, USP is butanoic acid, 2,2-dimethyl-,1,2,3,7,8,8a-hexahydro-3,7-dimethyl-8-[2-(tetrahydro-4-hydroxy-6-oxo-2 H-pyran-2-yl)-ethyl]-1-naphthalenyl ester, [1 S-[1α,3α,7β,8β(2 S*,4 S*),-8aβ]]. The molecular formula of simvastatin is C 25H 38O 5 and its molecular weight is 418.57. Simvastatin, USP is a white to off-white, nonhygroscopic, crystalline powder that is practically insoluble in water and freely soluble in chloroform, methanol and ethanol. Its structural formula is. Ezetimibe and simvastatin is available for oral use as tablets containing 10 mg of ezetimibe, USP, and 10 mg of simvastatin, USP (ezetimibe and simvastatin 10/10), 20 mg of simvastatin, USP (ezetimibe and simvastatin 10/20), 40 mg of simvastatin, USP (ezetimibe and simvastatin 10/40), or 80 mg of simvastatin, USP (ezetimibe and simvastatin 10/80). Each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: butylated hydroxyanisole, citric acid monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and propyl gallate."

The molecular formula is C 24H 21F 2NO 3 and its molecular weight is 409.4. Ezetimibe, USP is a white, crystalline powder that is freely to very soluble in ethanol, methanol, and acetone and practically insoluble in water. Its structural formula is. Simvastatin, USP an inactive lactone, is hydrolyzed to the corresponding β-hydroxyacid form, which is an inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase.
