"IndicationAndUsage": "Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets are a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) indicated for.",
"Description": "Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets are extended-release tablets for oral administration that contain venlafaxine hydrochloride, a structurally novel antidepressant. Venlafaxine hydrochloride is a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). It is designated (R/S)-1-[2-(dimethylamino)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl] cyclohexanol hydrochloride or (±)-1-[α-[(dimethylamino)methyl]-p-methoxybenzyl] cyclohexanol hydrochloride and has the molecular formula of C17H27NO2HCl. Its molecular weight is 313.87. The structural formula is shown below. Venlafaxine hydrochloride is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a solubility of 572 mg/mL in water (adjusted to ionic strength of 0.2 M with sodium chloride). Its octanol:water (0.2 M sodium chloride) partition coefficient is 0.43. Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets are formulated as an extended-release tablet for once-a-day oral administration. Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets use a hydrogel-based technology to deliver venlafaxine hydrochloride at a controlled rate over approximately 24 hours. The system comprises of a bilayer tablet surrounded by a partially permeable coat. The bilayer tablet core consists of one colored swellable layer and a second drug containing layer. On contact of tablet with aqueous medium, the soluble components of the partially permeable membrane dissolve. Imbibition of the aqueous medium by the swellable layer causes it to swell rapidly. This exerts mechanical pressure on the coating causing it to rupture. The coating is removed from the swellable layer side only to expose a pre-defined surface area from which release of the drug occurs. The controlled rate of drug delivery is a function of controlled surface area and the excipients of the drug layer. The biologically inert fragments of the coating may remain intact and may be eliminated in the feces. Each extended-release coated bilayer tablet contains venlafaxine hydrochloride, USP equivalent to 37.5 mg, 75 mg, 150 mg, or 225 mg venlafaxine. Inactive ingredients consist of hypromellose, povidone, lactose monohydrate, methacrylic acid copolymer, talc, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate, FD & C Red No. 40 Aluminum Lake, ethyl cellulose aqueous dispersion, mannitol, dibutyl sebacate, triethyl citrate, polysorbate 20, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, and polyvinyl alcohol. Imprinting ink contains shellac glaze, isopropyl alcohol, iron oxide black, N-butyl alcohol, propylene glycol and ammonium hydroxide."

Immunotherapy is intended for patients whose symptoms are not satisfactorily controlled by avoidance of the offending allergen or by the use of symptomatic medications. Treatment uses only those specific allergens that the patient is sensitive to based on diagnostic tests and medical history. It is not intended for treatment of patients who do not manifest immediate hypersensitivity reactions to the allergenic extract following skin testing.",
"Description": "Therapeutic extracts (concentrates) are designed primarily for the physician equipped to prepare dilutions and mixtures as necessary. Allergenic Extracts are manufactured from various biological allergenic source materials including pollens, molds, epidermals, insects, food and environmental inhalants. The extraction is performed in a glycerin solution and the resulting concentration is expressed as weight to volume (w/v) ratio. This is the weight of dry pollen in grams to volume of glycerin extracting solution in milliliters. Extracts are filtered and sterile filled. Tests include those for safety and sterility. The route of administration is subcutaneous. Scratch diagnostic extracts are of the same therapeutic extract formulation and their route of administration is percutaneous. Intradermal diagnostic extracts are dilutions of the therapeutic extracts using Sterile Diluent for Allergenic Extract. The following allergenic extracts are designated and labeled “FOR DIAGNOSTIC USE ONLY”. Data to support the therapeutic use of these extracts has not been established: Coffee Cottonseed Flaxseed Housefly Mosquito. The strength of Standardized Short Ragweed and Ragweed Mix, Giant and Short extracts is described (in addition to w/v) as antigen E content. The concentration of antigen E per milliliter of the final preparation as determined by radial immunodiffusion (RID). The antigen E content of an extract is influenced by several variables. These include antigen E content of the pollen, nature of extracting solutions, ratio of pollen weight to volume of extracting solution and storage conditions. Variables which influence antigen E stability during storage conditions include nature of the solvent, antigen E concentration and storage temperature. Glycerin is a stabilizer of antigen E and other allergens."

Acetaminophen, USP, 4'-hydroxyacetanilide, a slightly bitter, white, odorless, crystalline powder, is a non-opiate, non-salicylate analgesic and antipyretic. It has the following structural formula: C H NO M.W. 151.16 Codeine phosphate, USP, 7,8-didehydro-4,5α-epoxy-3-methoxy-17-methylmorphinan-6α-ol phosphate (1:1) (salt) hemihydrate, a white crystalline powder, is a narcotic analgesic and antitussive. It has the following structural formula: 8 9 2 C H NO H PO 1/2H O M.W. 406.37 Each tablet contains: acetaminophen, USP...........................300 mg codeine phosphate, USP.......................15 mg (Warning: May be habit forming) OR acetaminophen, USP...........................300 mg codeine phosphate, USP....................... 30 mg (Warning: May be habit forming) OR acetaminophen, USP...........................300 mg codeine phosphate, USP....................... 60 mg (Warning: May be habit forming) In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: corn starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, and microcrystalline cellulose. The 300 mg/60 mg strength tablets also contain crospovidone, povidone, pregelatinized starch, and stearic acid. CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY This product combines the analgesic effects of a centrally acting analgesic, codeine, with a peripherally acting analgesic, acetaminophen. Pharmacokinetics The behavior of the individual components is described below. Codeine Codeine is readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. It is rapidly distributed from the intravascular spaces to the various body tissues, with preferential uptake by parenchymatous organs such as the liver, spleen and kidney. Codeine crosses the blood-brain barrier, and is found in fetal tissue and breast milk. The plasma concentration does not correlate with brain concentration or relief of pain; however, codeine is not bound to plasma proteins and does not accumulate in body tissues. The plasma half-life is about 2.9 hours. The elimination of codeine is primarily via the kidneys, and about 90% of an oral dose is excreted by the kidneys within 24 hours of dosing. The urinary secretion products consist of free and glucuronide conjugated codeine (about 70%), free and conjugated norcodeine (about 10%), free and conjugated morphine (about 10%), normorphine (4%), and hydrocodone (1%). The remainder of the dose is excreted in the feces. 18 21 3 3 4 2 At therapeutic doses, the analgesic effect reaches a peak within 2 hours and persists between 4 and 6 hours. See OVERDOSAGE for toxicity information. Acetaminophen Acetaminophen is rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract and is distributed throughout most body tissues. The plasma half-life is 1.25 to 3 hours, but may be increased by liver damage and following overdosage. Elimination of acetaminophen is principally by liver metabolism (conjugation) and subsequent renal excretion of metabolites. Approximately 85% of an oral dose appears in the urine within 24 hours of administration, most as the glucuronide conjugate, with small amounts of other conjugates and unchanged drug. See OVERDOSAGE for toxicity information. INDICATIONS AND USAGE Acetaminophen and codeine phosphate tablets are indicated for the relief of mild to moderately severe pain."

<IndicationAndUsage>Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets are a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) indicated for.</IndicationAndUsage>

Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets are extended-release tablets for oral administration that contain venlafaxine hydrochloride, a structurally novel antidepressant. Imprinting ink contains shellac glaze, isopropyl alcohol, iron oxide black, N-butyl alcohol, propylene glycol and ammonium hydroxide.

Immunotherapy is intended for patients whose symptoms are not satisfactorily controlled by avoidance of the offending allergen or by the use of symptomatic medications. Treatment uses only those specific allergens that the patient is sensitive to based on diagnostic tests and medical history. It is not intended for treatment of patients who do not manifest immediate hypersensitivity reactions to the allergenic extract following skin testing.</IndicationAndUsage>

Therapeutic extracts (concentrates) are designed primarily for the physician equipped to prepare dilutions and mixtures as necessary. Glycerin is a stabilizer of antigen E and other allergens.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE Acetaminophen and codeine phosphate tablets are indicated for the relief of mild to moderately severe pain.
