"IndicationAndUsage": "Melphalan hydrochloride for injection is indicated for the palliative treatment of patients with multiple myeloma for whom oral therapy is not appropriate.",
"Description": "Melphalan, also known as L-phenylalanine mustard, phenylalanine mustard, L-PAM, or L-sarcolysin, is a phenylalanine derivative of nitrogen mustard. Melphalan is a bifunctional alkylating agent that is active against selected human neoplastic diseases. It is known chemically as 4-[bis(2-chloroethyl)amino]-L-phenylalanine monohydrochloride. The molecular formula is C13H18Cl2N2O2. HCl and the molecular weight is 341.67. The structural formula is:. Melphalan is the active L-isomer of the compound and was first synthesized in 1953 by Bergel and Stock; the D-isomer, known as medphalan, is less active against certain animal tumors, and the dose needed to produce effects on chromosomes is larger than that required with the L-isomer. The racemic (DL-) form is known as merphalan or sarcolysin. Melphalan is practically insoluble in water and has a pKa1 of∼2.5. Melphalan salt is practically insoluble in acetone and chlorinated organic solvents. Slightly soluble in methanol and ethanol. Soluble in water, 0.1 N HCl and 0.1 N NaOH. Melphalan hydrochloride for injection is supplied as a sterile,nonpyrogenic, freeze-dried powder. Each single-dose vial contains melphalan hydrochloride equivalent to 50 mg melphalan and 20 mg povidone. Melphalan hydrochloride for injection is reconstituted using the sterile diluent provided. Each vial of sterile diluent contains sodium citrate 0.2 g, propylene glycol 6 mL, ethanol (96%) 0.52 mL, and Water for Injection toa total of 10 mL. Melphalan hydrochloride for injection is administered intravenously."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Arformoterol Tartrate Inhalation Solution is a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist (beta2-agonist) indicated for: : 1 Long-term, twice daily (morning and evening) administration in the maintenance treatment of bronchoconstriction in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. (1.1) .",
"Description": "Arformoterol Tartrate Inhalation Solution is a sterile, clear, colorless, aqueous solution of the tartrate salt of arformoterol, the (R,R)-enantiomer of formoterol. Arformoterol is a selective beta2-adrenergic bronchodilator. The chemical name for arformoterol tartrate is formamide, N-[2-hydroxy-5-[(1R)-1-hydroxy-2-[[(1R)-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1-methylethyl]amino]ethyl]phenyl]-, (2R,3R)-2,3-dihydroxybutanedioate (1:1 salt), and its established structural formula is as follows:. The molecular weight of arformoterol tartrate is 494.5 g/mol, and its empirical formula is C19H24N2O4C4H6O6 (1:1 salt). It is a white or off white or light brown color powder that is soluble in dimethyl sulphoxide, slightly soluble in water, methanol and insoluble in ethyl acetate. Arformoterol tartrate is the United States Adopted Name (USAN) for (R,R)-formoterol L-tartrate. Arformoterol Tartrate Inhalation Solution is supplied as 2 mL of arformoterol tartrate solution packaged in 2.1 mL unit-dose, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) unit-dose vials. Each unit-dose vial contains 15 mcg of arformoterol (equivalent to 22 mcg of arformoterol tartrate) in a sterile, isotonic saline solution, pH-adjusted to 5.0 with citric acid and sodium citrate. Arformoterol Tartrate Inhalation Solution requires no dilution before administration by nebulization. Like all other nebulized treatments, the amount delivered to the lungs will depend upon patient factors, the nebulizer used, and compressor performance. Using the PARI LC® Plus nebulizer (with mouthpiece) connected to a PARI DURA NEB 3,000 compressor under in vitro conditions, the mean delivered dose from the mouthpiece (% nominal) was approximately 4.1 mcg (27.6%) at a mean flow rate of 3.3 L/min. The mean nebulization time was 6 minutes or less. Arformoterol Tartrate Inhalation Solution should be administered from a standard jet nebulizer at adequate flow rates via face mask or mouthpiece. Patients should be carefully instructed on the correct use of this drug product (please refer to the accompanying Patient Information)."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Losartan potassium tablet is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) indicated for. · Treatment of hypertension, to lower blood pressure in adults and children greater than 6 years old. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions. (1.1). · Reduction of the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. There is evidence that this benefit does not apply to Black patients. (1.2). · Treatment of diabetic nephropathy with an elevated serum creatinine and proteinuria in patients with type 2 diabetes and a history of hypertension. (1.3).",
"Description": "Losartan potassium USP is an angiotensin II receptor blocker acting on the AT1 receptor subtype. Losartan potassium, a non-peptide molecule, is chemically described as 2-butyl-4-chloro-1-[p-(o-1H-tetrazol-5-ylphenyl)benzyl]imidazole-5-methanol monopotassium salt. Its empirical formula is C22H22ClKN6O, and its structural formula is. Losartan potassium tablets USP are available for oral administration containing either 25 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg of losartan potassium and the following inactive ingredients: D&C yellow No. 10 aluminum lake, FD&C blue No.2 aluminum lake, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch and titanium dioxide. Losartan potassium tablets USP, 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg contain potassium in the following amounts: 2.12 mg (0.054 mEq), 4.24 mg (0.108 mEq) and 8.48 mg (0.216 mEq), respectively."

Losartan potassium, a non-peptide molecule, is chemically described as 2-butyl-4-chloro-1-[p-(o-1H-tetrazol-5-ylphenyl)benzyl]imidazole-5-methanol monopotassium salt. Its empirical formula is C22H22ClKN6O, and its structural formula is. Losartan potassium tablets USP are available for oral administration containing either 25 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg of losartan potassium and the following inactive ingredients: D&C yellow No. 10 aluminum lake, FD&C blue No.2 aluminum lake, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch and titanium dioxide. Losartan potassium tablets USP, 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg contain potassium in the following amounts: 2.12 mg (0.054 mEq), 4.24 mg (0.108 mEq) and 8.48 mg (0.216 mEq), respectively."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Fenofibrate tablets are a peroxisome proliferator receptor alpha (PPARα) activator indicated as an adjunct to diet: 1 To reduce elevated LDL-C, Total-C, TG, and Apo B, and to increase HDL-C in adult patients with primary hypercholesterolemia or mixed dyslipidemia. (1.1), 2 For treatment of adult patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia. (1.2), 3 Important Limitations of Use: Fenofibrate was not shown to reduce coronary heart disease morbidity and mortality in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. (5.1).",
"Description": "Fenofibrate Tablet is a lipid regulating agent available as tablets for oral administration. Each tablet contains 48 mg or 145 mg of fenofibrate. The chemical name for fenofibrate is 2-[4-(4-chlorobenzoyl)phenoxy]-2-methyl-propanoic acid, 1-methylethyl ester with the following structural formula. The empirical formula is C20H21O4Cl and the molecular weight is 360.83; fenofibrate is insoluble in water. The melting point is 79° to 82°C. Fenofibrate is a white solid which is stable under ordinary conditions. Inactive Ingredients. Each tablet contains anhydrous lactose, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, purified water, simethicone emulsion, and sodium lauryl sulfate."

The chemical name of valsartan disodium is L-Valine, N-(1-oxopentyl)-N-[[2′-(2H-tetrazol-5-yl)[1,1′-biphenyl]-4-yl]methyl]-, sodium salt trihydrate (1:2:3). The molecular formula is C 24H 33N 5Na 2O 6and its molecular weight is 533.54. Its structural formula is:. "IndicationAndUsage": "When oral therapy is not feasible, and the strength, dosage form and route of administration of the drug reasonably lend the preparation to the treatment of the condition, theintravenous or intramuscular use of methylprednisolone sodium succinate for injection, USP is indicated as follows. Allergic states: Control of severe or incapacitating allergic conditions intractable to adequate trials of conventional treatment in asthma, atopic dermatitis, contact dermatitis, drug hypersensitivity reactions, serum sickness, transfusion reactions. Dermatologic diseases: Bullous dermatitis herpetiformis, exfoliative erythroderma, mycosis fungoides, pemphigus, severe erythema multiforme (Stevens-Johnson syndrome). Endocrine disorders: Primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency (hydrocortisone or cortisone is the drug of choice; synthetic analogs may be used in conjunction with mineralocorticoids where applicable; in infancy, mineralocorticoid supplementation is of particular importance), congenital adrenal hyperplasia, hypercalcemia associated with cancer, nonsuppurative thyroiditis. Gastrointestinal diseases: To tide the patient over a critical period of the disease in regional enteritis (systemic therapy) and ulcerative colitis. Hematologic disorders: Acquired (autoimmune) hemolytic anemia, congenital (erythroid) hypoplastic anemia (Diamond-Blackfan anemia), idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in adults (intravenous administration only; intramuscular administration is contraindicated), pure red cell aplasia, selected cases of secondary thrombocytopenia. Miscellaneous: Trichinosis with neurologic or myocardial involvement, tuberculous meningitis with subarachnoid block or impending block when used concurrently with appropriate antituberculous chemotherapy. Neoplastic diseases: For the palliative management of leukemias and lymphomas. The structural formula is as follows. Pralatrexate is an off-white to yellow hygroscopic powder. The pH is 4.45 (in 1% aqueous suspension). Pralatrexate is soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide and sparingly soluble in dimethyl formamide. The pKa values are 3.25, 4.70, and 6. Pralatrexate injection is supplied as a preservative-free, sterile, isotonic, non-pyrogenic clear yellow aqueous solution contained in a clear glass single-dose vial (Type I) for intravenous use.
