"IndicationAndUsage": "Phenylephrine Hydrochloride in 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection is indicated for increasing blood pressure in adults with clinically important hypotension resulting primarily from vasodilation in the setting of anesthesia.",
"Description": "Phenylephrine Hydrochloride in 0.9% Sodium Chloride Injection, 80 mcg/mL (20 mg/250 mL), an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist, contains the active pharmaceutical ingredient phenylephrine in the form of hydrochloride salt. Phenylephrine is a synthetic sympathomimetic agent in sterile form for parenteral injection. Phenylephrine hydrochloride chemical name is (-)-m-Hydroxy-α-[(methylamino) methyl]benzyl alcohol hydrochloride and has the following structural formula. Phenylephrine hydrochloride is very soluble in water, freely soluble in ethanol, and insoluble in chloroform and ethyl ether. Phenylephrine hydrochloride is sensitive to light. Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Injection, USP 80 mcg/mL (20 mg/250 mL, equivalent to 16.4 mg of phenylephrine base per 250 ml) is a clear and colorless sterile aqueous solution, essentially free of visible foreign matter. It is a ready-to-use solution intended for intravenous administration. Each mL contains: 0.08 mg of Phenylephrine Hydrochloride and 9.04 mg of Sodium Chloride in Water for Injection. Phenylephrine Hydrochloride Injection, USP 80 mcg/mL. Hydrochloric acid is added as needed to adjust pH (pH range is 3.0 to 5.0)."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Rosuvastatin tablets are an HMG Co-A reductase inhibitor (statin) indicated: (1) To reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular (CV) events (CV death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, nonfatal stroke, or an arterial revascularization procedure) in adults at increased risk for CV events. As an adjunct to diet and exercise to reduce low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C):o in adults with primary hypercholesterolemia.o and slow the progression of atherosclerosis in adults.o in adults and pediatric patients aged 8 years and older with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH).o in adults and pediatric patients aged 7 years and older with homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HoFH). As an adjunct to diet for the treatment of adults with:o Primary dysbetalipoproteinemia.o Hypertriglyceridemia.",
"Description": "Rosuvastatin is a 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG CoA)-reductase inhibitor. The chemical name for rosuvastatin calcium USP is bis[(E)-7-[4- (4-fluorophenyl)-6-isopropyl-2 [methyl(methylsulfonyl)amino] pyrimidin-5-yl](3R,5S) -3,5-dihydroxyhept-6-enoic acid] calcium salt with the following structural formula. The empirical formula for rosuvastatin calcium USP is (C 22H 27FN 3O 6S) 2Ca and the molecular weight is 1001.14. Rosuvastatin calcium is a white amorphous powder that is sparingly soluble in water and methanol, and slightly soluble in ethanol. Rosuvastatin calcium is a hydrophilic compound with a partition coefficient (octanol/water) of 0.13 at pH of 7.0. Rosuvastatin tablets for oral use contain rosuvastatin 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, or 40 mg (equivalent to 5.2 mg, 10.4 mg, 20.8 mg, and 41.6 mg rosuvastatin calcium) and the following inactive ingredients: Each tablet contains: crospovidone, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, titanium dioxide and triacetin. Additionally, the 5 mg tablet contains ferric oxide yellow and the 10 mg, 20 mg and 40 mg tablets contain ferric oxide red."

"Description": "Topiramate is a sulfamate-substituted monosaccharide. Topiramate tablets, USP are available as 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg, and 200 mg round tablets for oral administration. Topiramate is a white crystalline powder with a bitter taste. Topiramate is most soluble in alkaline solutions containing sodium hydroxide or sodium phosphate and having a pH of 9 to 10. It is freely soluble in acetone, chloroform, dimethylsulfoxide, and ethanol. The solubility in water is 9.8 mg/mL. Its saturated solution has a pH of 6.3. Topiramate has the molecular formula C12H21NO8S and a molecular weight of 339.36. Topiramate is designated chemically as 2,3:4,5-Di-O-isopropylidene-β-D-fructopyranose sulfamate and has the following structural formula. Topiramate tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, pre-gelatinized starch, hypromellose, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol. The 25 mg strength also contains polysorbate. The 50 mg strength also contains polysorbate, iron oxide yellow and iron oxide red. The 100 mg strength also contains polysorbate and iron oxide yellow. "Description": "Levetiracetam USP is an antiepileptic drug available as beige colored tablets in 250 mg, 500 mg and 750 mg strengths for oral administration. The chemical name of levetiracetam USP, a single enantiomer, is (-)-(S)-a-ethyl-2-oxo-1-pyrrolidine acetamide, its molecular formula is C8H14N2O2 and its molecular weight is 170.21. Levetiracetam USP is chemically unrelated to existing antiepileptic drugs (AEDs). It has the following structural formula. Levetiracetam USP is a white to off-white crystalline powder. It is very soluble in water, freely soluble in methanol, chloroform and ethanol. Soluble in acetonitrile and practically insoluble in n-hexane. Levetiracetam tablets USP contain the labeled amount of levetiracetam USP. Inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, talc, sodium starch glycolate and coloring agent contains hypromellose 3cp, hypromellose 6cp, iron oxide yellow, iron oxide red, polyethylene glycol 400, polysorbate 80 and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Buspirone hydrochloride tablets are indicated for the management of anxiety disorders or the short-term relief of the symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety or tension associated with the stress of everyday life usually does not require treatment with an anxiolytic. The efficacy of buspirone hydrochloride tablets have been demonstrated in controlled clinical trials of outpatients whose diagnosis roughly corresponds to Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Many of the patients enrolled in these studies also had coexisting depressive symptoms and buspirone hydrochloride tablets relieved anxiety in the presence of these coexisting depressive symptoms. The patients evaluated in these studies had experienced symptoms for periods of 1 month to over 1 year prior to the study, with an average symptom duration of 6 months. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (300.02) is described in the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, III1 as follows:. Generalized, persistent anxiety (of at least 1 month continual duration), manifested by symptoms from three of the four following categories. 1. Motor tension:. Shakiness, jitteriness, jumpiness, trembling, tension, muscle aches, fatigability, inability to relax, eyelid twitch, furrowed brow, strained face, fidgeting, restlessness, easy startle. 2. Autonomic hyperactivity:. Sweating, heart pounding or racing, cold, clammy hands, dry mouth, dizziness, lightheadedness, paresthesias (tingling in hands or feet), upset stomach, hot or cold spells, frequent urination, diarrhea, discomfort in the pit of the stomach, lump in the throat, flushing, pallor, high resting pulse and respiration rate. 3. Apprehensive expectation:. Anxiety, worry, fear, rumination, and anticipation of misfortune to self or others. 4. Vigilance and scanning:. Hyperattentiveness resulting in distractibility, difficulty in concentrating, insomnia, feeling \"on edge,\" irritability, impatience. The above symptoms would not be due to another mental disorder, such as a depressive disorder or schizophrenia. However, mild depressive symptoms are common in GAD. The effectiveness of buspirone hydrochloride tablets in long-term use, that is, for more than 3 to 4 weeks, has not been demonstrated in controlled trials. There is no body of evidence available that systematically addresses the appropriate duration of treatment for GAD. However, in a study of long-term use, 264 patients were treated with buspirone hydrochloride tablets for 1 year without ill effect. Therefore, the physician who elects to use buspirone hydrochloride tablets for extended periods should periodically reassess the usefulness of the drug for the individual patient.",
"Description": "Buspirone hydrochloride tablets, USP are an antianxiety agent that is not chemically or pharmacologically related to the benzodiazepines, barbiturates, or other sedative/anxiolytic drugs. Buspirone hydrochloride, USP is a white crystalline powder. It is very soluble in water; freely soluble in methanol and in methylene chloride; sparingly soluble in ethanol and in acetonitrile; very slightly soluble in ethyl acetate and practically insoluble in hexanes. Its molecular weight is 422. Chemically, buspirone hydrochloride is 8-[4-[4-(2-pyrimidinyl)-1-piperazinyl]butyl]-8-azaspiro[4.5]decane-7,9-dione monohydrochloride. The molecular formula C21H31N5O2HCl is represented by the following structural formula. Each buspirone hydrochloride tablet intended for oral administration contains 5 mg or 7.5 mg or 10 mg or 15 mg or 30 mg buspirone hydrochloride (equivalent to 4.6 mg, 6.85 mg, 9.1 mg, 13.7 mg, and 27.4 mg of buspirone free base, respectively). In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium starch glycolate. The 5 mg and 10 mg tablets are scored so they can be bisected. Thus, the 5 mg tablet can also provide 2.5 mg dose, and the 10 mg tablet can provide a 5 mg dose. The 15 mg and 30 mg tablets are scored so they can be either bisected or trisected. Thus, a single 15 mg tablet can provide the following doses: 15 mg (entire tablet), 10 mg (two thirds of a tablet), 7.5 mg (one half of a tablet), or 5 mg (one third of a tablet). A single 30 mg tablet can provide the following doses: 30 mg (entire tablet), 20 mg (two thirds of a tablet), 15 mg (one half of a tablet), or 10 mg (one third of a tablet)."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Oxybutynin chloride is indicated for the relief of symptoms of bladder instability associated with voiding in patients with uninhibited neurogenic or reflex neurogenic bladder (i.e., urgency, frequency, urinary leakage, urge incontinence, dysuria).",
"Description": "Each scored round, uncoated, oxybutynin chloride tablet contains 5 mg of oxybutynin chloride, USP. Chemically, oxybutynin chloride is 4(diethylamino-but-2-ynyl (RS) 2-cyclohexyl-2-hydroxy 2 phenyl acetate hydrochloride. The empirical formula of oxybutynin chloride is C22H31NO3HCl. The structural formula appears below. Oxybutynin Chloride is a white crystalline, practically odorless powder with a molecular weight of 393.95. It is freely soluble in water and in alcohol; very soluble in methanol and in chloroform; soluble in acetone; slightly soluble in ether; very slightly soluble in hexane. Oxybutynin Chloride Tablets, USP also contain magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and pregelatinized starch. Oxybutynin Chloride Tablets, USP are for oral administration. Therapeutic Category: Antispasmodic, anticholinergic. FDA approved dissolution test specifications differ from USP."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets are indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults and pediatric patients 10 years of age and older with type 2 diabetes mellitus.",
"Description": "Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets, USP contain the antihyperglycemic agent metformin, which is a biguanide, in the form of monohydrochloride. The chemical name of metformin hydrochloride is N,N-dimethylimidodicarbonimidic diamide hydrochloride. The structural formula is as shown below. Metformin hydrochloride is a white crystalline compound with a molecular formula of C4H11N5 ∙ HCl and a molecular weight of 165.63. Metformin hydrochloride is freely soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, practically insoluble in acetone and in methylene hydrochloride. The pKa of metformin is 12.4. The pH of a 1% aqueous solution of metformin hydrochloride is 6.68. Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets contain 500 mg, 850 mg, or 1000 mg of metformin hydrochloride, which is equivalent to 389.93 mg, 662.88 mg, 779.86 mg metformin base, respectively. Each tablet contains the inactive ingredients pregelatinized starch (maize), povidone, crospovidone, magnesium stearate. In addition, the coating for the tablets contains hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide and flavoring agent contains dextrose, ethyl alcohol, gum arabic, propylene glycol and silicon dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Daunorubicin hydrochloride injection in combination with other approved anticancer drugs is indicated for remission induction in acute nonlymphocytic leukemia (myelogenous, monocytic, erythroid) of adults and for remission induction in acute lymphocytic leukemia of children and adults.",
"Description": "Daunorubicin Hydrochloride Injection consists of the hydrochloride salt of an anthracycline cytotoxic antibiotic produced by a strain of Streptomyces coeruleorubidus. It is provided as a deep red sterile liquid in vials for intravenous administration only. Each mL contains daunorubicin hydrochloride, USP equivalent to 5 mg of daunorubicin, 9 mg sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid (to adjust pH), and water for injection, q.s. It has the following structural formula which may be described with the chemical name of (1S,3S)-3-Acetyl-1,2,3,4,6,11-hexahydro-3,5,12-trihydroxy-10-methoxy-6,11-dioxo-1-naphthacenyl 3-amino-2,3,6-trideoxy-α-L-lyxo-hexopyranoside hydrochloride. C27H29NO10HCl M.W. 563.99. It is a hygroscopic crystalline powder. The pH of a 5 mg/mL aqueous solution is 3 to 4."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Doxepin tablets are indicated for the treatment of insomnia characterized by difficulties with sleep maintenance. (1, 14).",
"Description": "Doxepin is available in 3 mg and 6 mg strength tablets for oral administration. Each tablet contains 3.39 mg or 6.78 mg doxepin hydrochloride, USP equivalent to 3 mg and 6 mg of doxepin, respectively. Chemically, doxepin hydrochloride, USP is an (E) and (Z) geometric, isomeric mixture of 1 propanamine, 3-dibenz[b,e]oxepin-11(6H)ylidene-N,N-dimethyl-hydrochloride. It has the following structure. Doxepin hydrochloride, USP is a white or almost white crystalline powder, that is readily soluble in water, in alcohol and in methylene chloride. It has a molecular weight of 315.84 and molecular formula of C19H21NOHCl. Each doxepin tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: FD&C Blue No.1 aluminium lake, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate and talc. In addition 6 mg tablet also contains D&C Yellow No. 10 aluminium lake."

"Description": "Aripiprazole is a psychotropic drug that is available as aripiprazole tablets. Aripiprazole tablets, USP are chemically designated as 7-[4-[4-(2,3-Dichlorophenyl)-1piperazinyl]butoxy]-3,4-dihydro-2(1H)-quinolinone. The molecular formula is C23H27Cl2N3O2, and molecular weight is 448.39. The chemical structure is as follows. Aripiprazole tablets, USP are available in 2 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg, 20 mg, and 30 mg strengths. Inactive ingredients include corn starch, FD&C Blue #2/Indigo Carmine Al, ferric oxide red, ferric oxide yellow, hydroxypropyl cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose. "Description": "Clopidogrel tablets USP is a thienopyridine class inhibitor of P2Y12 ADP platelet receptors. Chemically it is methyl (+)-(S)-α-(2-chlorophenyl)-6,7-dihydrothieno[3,2-c]pyridine-5(4H)acetate sulfate (1:1). The molecular formula of clopidogrel bisulfate USP is C16H16Cl NO2SH2SO4 and its molecular weight is 419.9. The structural formula is as follows. Clopidogrel bisulfate USP is a white to off-white powder. It is freely soluble in methanol and practically insoluble in ether. It has a specific optical rotation of between +53° and + 58°. Clopidogrel for oral administration is provided as pink, round, biconvex, film-coated tablets containing 97.875 mg of clopidogrel bisulfate which is the molar equivalent to 75 mg of clopidogrel base . Each tablet contains colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hydroxy propyl cellulose, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium stearyl fumarate as inactive ingredients. The film-coating contains hypromellose 2910, iron oxide red, polyethylene glycol, talc and titanium dioxide."

"Description": "Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release capsules, USP are extended-release capsule for once-a-day oral administration that contains venlafaxine hydrochloride, USP a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). Venlafaxine is designated as 1–[(1RS)-2-(Dimethylamino)-1-(4-Methoxy phenyl) ethyl] cyclohexanol hydrochloride and has the empirical formula of C17H28ClNO2. Its molecular weight is 313.9. The structural formula is shown as follows:. Venlafaxine hydrochloride USP is an off-white to white crystalline powder, soluble in methanol and water. Its partition coefficient is 0.1. Drug release is controlled by diffusion through the coating membrane on the Spheroids and is not pH dependent. Capsules contain venlafaxine hydrochloride, USP equivalent to 37.5 mg, 75 mg, or 150 mg venlafaxine. Inactive ingredients consist of ethyl cellulose, ferric oxide red, gelatin, hypromellose, methyl alcohol, methylene chloride, microcrystalline cellulose, talc and titanium dioxide. In addition to the above 37.5mg consists of ferric oxide black and ferric oxide yellow. The components of the black imprinting ink used in the venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release capsules USP, 37.5 mg and 75 mg are black iron oxide, butyl alcohol, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, shellac and strong ammonia solution. The components of the white imprinting ink used in the venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release capsules USP, 150 mg are butyl alcohol, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, povidone, propylene glycol, shellac, sodium hydroxide and titanium dioxide. Dissolution Test specification differ from USP."

"IndicationAndUsage": "JAVYGTOR (sapropterin dihydrochloride) is indicated to reduce blood phenylalanine (Phe) levels in adult and pediatric patients one month of age and older with hyperphenylalaninemia (HPA) due to tetrahydrobiopterin-(BH4-) responsive Phenylketonuria (PKU). JAVYGTOR is to be used in conjunction with a Phe-restricted diet.",
"Description": "JAVYGTOR (sapropterin dihydrochloride) is an orally administered Phenylalanine Hydroxylase activator (or PAH activator). Sapropterin dihydrochloride, the active pharmaceutical ingredient in JAVYGTOR, is a synthetic preparation of the dihydrochloride salt of naturally occurring tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4). Sapropterin dihydrochloride is a white crystalline powder. The chemical name of sapropterin dihydrochloride is (6R)-2-amino-6-[(1R,2S)-1,2- dihydroxypropyl]-5,6,7,8-tetrahydro-4(1H)-pteridinone dihydrochloride and the molecular formula is C9H15N5O3·2HCl with a molecular weight of 314.17. Sapropterin dihydrochloride has the following structural formula. JAVYGTOR is supplied as tablets contains 100 mg of sapropterin dihydrochloride (equivalent to 76.8 mg of sapropterin base). Tablets are off-white to light yellow, mottled, round uncoated tablet debossed with ‘|’ on one side and plain on other side. Each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: ascorbic acid, colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, low substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose, mannitol, riboflavin and sodium stearyl fumarate."

"Description": "Clopidogrel tablets USP is a thienopyridine class inhibitor of P2Y12 ADP platelet receptors. Chemically it is methyl (+)-(S)-α-(2-chlorophenyl)-6,7-dihydrothieno[3,2-c]pyridine-5(4H)acetate sulfate (1:1). The molecular formula of clopidogrel bisulfate USP is C16H16Cl NO2SH2SO4 and its molecular weight is 419.9. The structural formula is as follows. Clopidogrel bisulfate USP is a white to off-white powder. It is freely soluble in methanol and practically insoluble in ether. It has a specific optical rotation of between +53° and + 58°. Clopidogrel for oral administration is provided as pink, round, biconvex, film-coated tablets containing 97.875 mg of clopidogrel bisulfate which is the molar equivalent to 75 mg of clopidogrel base or pink, oval, film-coated tablets containing 391.5 mg of clopidogrel bisulfate USP which is the molar equivalent to 300 mg of clopidogrel base. Each tablet contains colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hydroxy propyl cellulose, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium stearyl fumarate as inactive ingredients. The film-coating contains hypromellose 2910, iron oxide red, polyethylene glycol, talc and titanium dioxide."
