"IndicationAndUsage": "Furosemide tablets, USP is indicated in adults and pediatric patients for the treatment of edema associated with congestive heart failure, cirrhosis of the liver, and renal disease, including the nephrotic syndrome. Furosemide is particularly useful when an agent with greater diuretic potential is desired.",
"Description": "Furosemide is a diuretic which is an anthranilic acid derivative. Furosemide tablets, USP for oral administration contain furosemide, USP as the active ingredient and the following inactive ingredients: corn starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, pregelatinized starch, and sodium starch glycolate. Chemically, it is 4-chloro-N-furfuryl-5-sulfamoylanthranilic acid. Furosemide, USP is available as white to off white round tablets for oral administration in dosage strengths of 20, 40 and 80 mg. Furosemide, USP is a white to slightly yellow odorless crystalline powder. It is practically insoluble in water, soluble in 15 parts of acetone, freely soluble in dimethylformamide and in solution of alkali hydroxides; soluble in methanol; sparingly soluble in alcohol; very slightly soluble in chloroform. The CAS Registry Number is 54-31-9. It has a molecular formula of C12H11ClN2O5S and a molecular weight of 330.75. Tested by USP Dissolution Test 1. The molecular structure is as follows."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Lorazepam is indicated for the management of anxiety disorders or for the short-term relief of the symptoms of anxiety or anxiety associated with depressive symptoms. Anxiety or tension associated with the stress of everyday life usually does not require treatment with an anxiolytic. The effectiveness of lorazepam in long-term use, that is, more than 4 months, has not been assessed by systematic clinical studies. The physician should periodically reassess the usefulness of the drug for the individual patient.",
"Description": "Lorazepam, an antianxiety agent, has the chemical formula, 7-chloro-5-(o-chlorophenyl)-1,3-dihydro-3-hydroxy-2H-1,4-benzodiazepin-2-one. It is a nearly white powder almost insoluble in water. Each lorazepam tablet, to be taken orally, contains 0.5 mg, 1 mg or 2 mg of lorazepam. The inactive ingredients present are lactose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and polacrilin potassium."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Warfarin sodium tablets, USP are indicated for the prophylaxis and/or treatment of venous thrombosis and its extension, and pulmonary embolism. Warfarin sodium tablets, USP are indicated for the prophylaxis and/or treatment of the thromboembolic complications associated with atrial fibrillation and/or cardiac valve replacement. Warfarin sodium tablets, USP are indicated to reduce the risk of death, recurrent myocardial infarction, and thromboembolic events such as stroke or systemic embolization after myocardial infarction.",
"Description": "Crystalline warfarin sodium is an anticoagulant which acts by inhibiting vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors. Chemically, it is 3-(α-acetonylbenzyl)-4-hydroxycoumarin sodium salt and is a racemic mixture of theR- andS-enantiomers. Crystalline warfarin sodium is an isopropanol clathrate. The crystallization of warfarin sodium virtually eliminates trace impurities present in amorphous warfarin. Its empirical formula is C19H15NaO4, and its structural formula may be represented by the following. Crystalline warfarin sodium occurs as a white, odorless, crystalline powder, is discolored by light and is very soluble in water; freely soluble in alcohol; very slightly soluble in chloroform and in ether. Warfarin Sodium Tablets, USP for oral use also contain."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Rosuvastatin tablets are indicated: 1 To reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular (CV) events (CV death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, nonfatal stroke, or an arterial revascularization procedure) in adults without established coronary heart disease who are at increased risk of CV disease based on age, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein (hsCRP) ≥2 mg/L, and at least one additional CV risk factor.",
"Description": "Rosuvastatin is a 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG CoA)-reductase inhibitor. The chemical name for rosuvastatin calcium is bis[(E)-7-[4-(4-fluorophenyl)-6-isopropyl-2- [methyl(methylsulfonyl)amino] pyrimidin-5-yl](3R,5S)-3,5-dihydroxyhept-6-enoic acid] calcium salt with the following structural formula. The molecular formula for rosuvastatin calcium is (C22H27FN3O6S)2Ca and the molecular weight is 1001.14. Rosuvastatin calcium, USP is a white to off-white amorphous powder that is slightly soluble in water, and practically insoluble in ethanol and methanol. Rosuvastatin calcium is a hydrophilic compound with a partition coefficient (octanol/water) of 0.13 at pH of 7.0. Rosuvastatin tablets, USP for oral use contain rosuvastatin 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, or 40 mg (equivalent to 5.2 mg, 10.4 mg, 20.8 mg, and 41.6 mg rosuvastatin calcium) and the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, pregelatinized maize starch, talc, titanium dioxide, iron oxide yellow (5 mg), iron oxide red (10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg), and FD& C Red # 40 aluminum lake (10 mg, 20 mg, 40 mg). Meets USP dissolution test 2."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Gabapentin is indicated for. Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures, with and without secondary generalization, in adults and pediatric patients 3 years and older with epilepsy.",
"Description": "The active ingredient in gabapentin capsules is gabapentin, which has the chemical name 1-(aminomethyl) cyclohexaneacetic acid. The molecular formula of gabapentin is C9H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 171.24. The structural formula of gabapentin is. Gabapentin is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a pKa1 of 3.7 and a pKa2 of 10.7. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is –1.25. Each gabapentin capsule contains 100 mg, 300 mg, or 400 mg of gabapentin and the following inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, cornstarch, and talc. The 100 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, and titanium dioxide. The 300 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, and yellow iron oxide. The 400 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, red iron oxide, titanium dioxide, and yellow iron oxide. The imprinting ink contains shellac, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, propyl glycol, strong ammonia solution, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Celecoxib is indicated.",
"Description": "Celecoxib capsule is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, available as capsules containing 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg and 400 mg celecoxib for oral administration. The chemical name is 4-[5-(4-methylphenyl)-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl] benzenesulfonamide and is a diaryl-substituted pyrazole. The molecular weight is 381.38. Its molecular formula is C 17H 14F 3N 3O 2S, and it has the following chemical structure:. Celecoxib is a white to off-white powder with a pKa of 11.1 (sulfonamide moiety). Celecoxib is hydrophobic (log P is 3.5) and is practically insoluble in aqueous media at physiological pH range. The inactive ingredients in celecoxib capsules include: croscarmellose sodium, gelatin, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone, sodium lauryl sulfate and titanium dioxide. Details of non-volatile components of the imprinting ink are given below. 50 mg capsule contains shellac, propylene glycol, sodium hydroxide, titanium dioxide, povidone and FD&C Red #40 aluminum lake. 100 mg capsule contains shellac, propylene glycol, ammonia and FD & C Blue No. # 2 aluminum lake. 200 mg capsule contains shellac, propylene glycol, ammonia and yellow iron oxide. 400 mg capsule contains shellac, propylene glycol, ammonia, yellow iron oxide, and FD & C Blue No. # 1 aluminum lake."

"Description": "Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release capsules, USP are extended-release capsule for once-a-day oral administration that contains venlafaxine hydrochloride, USP a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). Venlafaxine is designated as 1–[(1RS)-2-(Dimethylamino)-1-(4-Methoxy phenyl) ethyl] cyclohexanol hydrochloride and has the empirical formula of C17H28ClNO2. Its molecular weight is 313.9. The structural formula is shown as follows:. Venlafaxine hydrochloride USP is an off-white to white crystalline powder, soluble in methanol and water. Its partition coefficient is 0.1. Drug release is controlled by diffusion through the coating membrane on the Spheroids and is not pH dependent. Capsules contain venlafaxine hydrochloride, USP equivalent to 37.5 mg, 75 mg, or 150 mg venlafaxine. Inactive ingredients consist of ethyl cellulose, ferric oxide red, gelatin, hypromellose, methyl alcohol, methylene chloride, microcrystalline cellulose, talc and titanium dioxide. In addition to the above 37.5mg consists of ferric oxide black and ferric oxide yellow. The components of the black imprinting ink used in the venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release capsules USP, 37.5 mg and 75 mg are black iron oxide, butyl alcohol, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, shellac and strong ammonia solution. The components of the white imprinting ink used in the venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release capsules USP, 150 mg are butyl alcohol, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, povidone, propylene glycol, shellac, sodium hydroxide and titanium dioxide. "Description": "Clopidogrel tablets USP is a thienopyridine class inhibitor of P2Y12 ADP platelet receptors. Chemically it is methyl (+)-(S)-α-(2-chlorophenyl)-6,7-dihydrothieno[3,2-c]pyridine-5(4H)acetate sulfate (1:1). The molecular formula of clopidogrel bisulfate USP is C16H16Cl NO2SH2SO4 and its molecular weight is 419.9. The structural formula is as follows. Clopidogrel bisulfate USP is a white to off-white powder. It is freely soluble in methanol and practically insoluble in ether. It has a specific optical rotation of between +53° and + 58°. Clopidogrel for oral administration is provided as pink, round, biconvex, film-coated tablets containing 97.875 mg of clopidogrel bisulfate which is the molar equivalent to 75 mg of clopidogrel base or pink, oval, film-coated tablets containing 391.5 mg of clopidogrel bisulfate USP which is the molar equivalent to 300 mg of clopidogrel base. Each tablet contains colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hydroxy propyl cellulose, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium stearyl fumarate as inactive ingredients. The film-coating contains hypromellose 2910, iron oxide red, polyethylene glycol, talc and titanium dioxide."

The chemical structure of pregabalin, USP is. Pregabalin, USP is a white to off-white powder with a pKa1 of 4.2 and a pKa2 of 10.6. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (octanol/ buffer) at pH 7.2 is -1.27. Pregabalin capsules are administered orally and are supplied as imprinted hard-shell capsules containing 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 225, and 300 mg of pregabalin, along with lactose monohydrate, maize starch, and talc as inactive ingredients. The capsule shells contain gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate and titanium dioxide. In addition, the red capsule shells contain red iron oxide.The imprinting ink contains black iron oxide, propylene glycol, potassium hydroxide and shellac."
