"IndicationAndUsage": "Donepezil hydrochloride tablets are indicated for the treatment of dementia of the Alzheimer’s type. Efficacy has been demonstrated in patients with mild, moderate, and severe Alzheimer’s disease.",
"Description": "Donepezil hydrochloride tablets USP are a reversible inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, known chemically as (±)-2, 3-dihydro-5, 6-dimethoxy-2-[[1-(phenylmethyl)-4-piperidinyl]methyl]-1H-inden-1-one hydrochloride. Donepezil hydrochloride is commonly referred to in the pharmacological literature as E2020. It has an empirical formula of C 24H 29NO 3HCl and a molecular weight of 415.96. Donepezil hydrochloride is a white crystalline powder and is freely soluble in chloroform, soluble in water and in glacial acetic acid, slightly soluble in ethanol and in acetonitrile, and practically insoluble in ethyl acetate and in n-hexane. Donepezil hydrochloride tablets USP are available for oral administration in film-coated tablets containing 23 mg of donepezil hydrochloride. Inactive ingredients in 23 mg tablets include hypromellose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid copolymer, polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide, talc, sodium hydroxide, triethyl citrate, iron oxide black, and propylene glycol. Chemically, diltiazem hydrochloride is 1,5-Benzothiazepin-4(5 H)-one, 3-(acetyloxy)-5-[2-(dimethylamino)ethyl]-2, 3-dihydro-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-, monohydrochloride,(+)- cis-. The chemical structure is:. Diltiazem hydrochloride is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a bitter taste. It is soluble in water, methanol, and chloroform. It has a molecular weight of 450.98. Diltiazem hydrochloride extended-release capsules, USP (once-a-day dosage) are formulated as a once-a-day extended-release capsule containing 120 mg, 180 mg, 240 mg, 300 mg, or 360 mg diltiazem hydrochloride. Capsules also contain: ammonio methacrylate copolymer type B, D&C Yellow #10, FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Blue #2, FD&C Red #40, gelatin, hydroxypropyl cellulose, iron oxide black, propylene glycol, shellac, sodium lauryl sulfate, sugar spheres (which contain sucrose and corn starch), talc, titanium dioxide and triethyl citrate. For oral administration. FDA approved dissolution test specifications differ from USP."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Bupropion hydrochloride extended-release tablets (XL) are an aminoketone antidepressant, indicated for. treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) ( 1.1). prevention of seasonal affective disorder (SAD) ( 1.2).",
"Description": "Bupropion hydrochloride extended-release tablets USP (XL), an antidepressant of the aminoketone class, are chemically unrelated to tricyclic, tetracyclic, selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor, or other known antidepressant agents. Its structure closely resembles that of diethylpropion; it is related to phenylethylamines. It is designated as (±)-1-(3-chorophenyl)-2-[(1,1-dimethylethyl)amino]-1-propanone hydrochloride. The molecular weight is 276.2. The molecular formula is C 13H 18ClNO·HCl. Bupropion hydrochloride powder is white, crystalline, and highly soluble in water. It has a bitter taste and produces the sensation of local anesthesia on the oral mucosa. The structural formula is:. Bupropion hydrochloride extended-release tablets USP (XL) are supplied for oral administration as 150 mg and 300 mg white film caoted extended-release tablets. Each tablet contains the labeled amount of bupropion hydrochloride and the inactive ingredients: hypromellose, glyceryl behenate, hydropropyl cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, ethylcellulose, povidone, methacrylic acid copolymer type C, triethyl citrate, iron oxide black and propylene glycol. The tablets are printed with edible black ink. The insoluble shell of the extended-release tablet may remain intact during gastrointestinal transit and is eliminated in the feces. Meets USP Dissolution Test 8."

"Description": "Bupropion hydrochloride extended-release tablets USP (XL), an antidepressant of the aminoketone class, are chemically unrelated to tricyclic, tetracyclic, selective serotonin re-uptake inhibitor, or other known antidepressant agents. Its structure closely resembles that of diethylpropion; it is related to phenylethylamines. It is designated as (±)-1-(3-chorophenyl)-2-[(1,1-dimethylethyl)amino]-1-propanone hydrochloride. The molecular weight is 276.2. The molecular formula is C 13H 18ClNO·HCl. Bupropion hydrochloride powder is white, crystalline, and highly soluble in water. It has a bitter taste and produces the sensation of local anesthesia on the oral mucosa. The structural formula is:. Bupropion hydrochloride extended-release tablets USP (XL) are supplied for oral administration as 150 mg and 300 mg white film caoted extended-release tablets. Each tablet contains the labeled amount of bupropion hydrochloride and the inactive ingredients: hypromellose, glyceryl behenate, hydropropyl cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, ethylcellulose, povidone, methacrylic acid copolymer type C, triethyl citrate, iron oxide black and propylene glycol. The tablets are printed with edible black ink. The insoluble shell of the extended-release tablet may remain intact during gastrointestinal transit and is eliminated in the feces. Meets USP Dissolution Test 8."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Amphetamine Sulfate Tablets, USP, are indicated for: 1 Narcolepsy, 2 Attention Deficit Disorder with Hyperactivity as an integral part of a total treatment program which typically includes other remedial measures (psychological, educational, social) for a stabilizing effect in children with behavioral syndrome characterized by the following group of developmentally inappropriate symptoms: moderate to severe distractibility, short attention span, hyperactivity, emotional lability, and impulsivity. The diagnosis of the syndrome should not be made with finality when these symptoms are only of comparatively recent origin. Nonlocalizing (soft) neurological signs, learning disability, and abnormal EEG may or may not be present, and a diagnosis of central nervous system dysfunction may or not be warranted. , 3 Exogenous Obesity as a short term (a few weeks) adjunct in a regimen of weight reduction based on caloric restriction for patient's refractory to alternative therapy, e.g., repeated diets, group programs, and other drugs. The limited usefulness of amphetamines (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY) should be weighed against possible risks inherent in use of the drug, such as those described below. .",
"Description": "Amphetamine Sulfate is a sympathomimetic amino of the amphetamine group. It is a white, odorless crystalline powder. It has a slightly bitter taste. Its solutions are acid to litmus, having a pH of 5.0 to 6.0. It is freely soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol. Each tablet, for oral administration contains 5 mg or 10 mg of amphetamine sulfate. Each tablet also contains the following inactive ingredients: crospovidone, silicified microcrystalline cellulose and stearic acid. The 10 mg tablet also contains FD&C Blue #1. Structural Formula."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Carefully consider the potential benefits and risks of diclofenac potassium immediate-release tablets and other treatment options before deciding to use diclofenac potassium tablets. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with individual patient treatment goals (see WARNINGS; Gastrointestinal Bleeding, Ulceration, and Perforation). Diclofenac potassium tablets are indicated: 1 For treatment of primary dysmenorrhea, 2 For relief of mild to moderate pain, 3 For relief of the signs and symptoms of osteoarthritis, 4 For relief of the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis.",
"Description": "Diclofenac potassium tablets, USP are a benzeneacetic acid derivative. Diclofenac potassium tablets are available as immediate-release tablets of 25 mg and 50 mg (white to off-white) for oral administration. Diclofenac potassium, USP is a white to off-white or slightly yellowish crystalline powder, slightly hygroscopic and is freely soluble in methanol; soluble in alcohol; sparingly soluble in water; slightly soluble in acetone. The chemical name is 2-[(2,6-dichlorophenyl)amino] benzeneacetic acid, monopotassium salt. The molecular weight is 334.25. Its molecular formula is C 14H 10Cl 2NKO 2, and it has the following structural formula. The inactive ingredients in diclofenac potassium tablets include: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium lauryl sulphate, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, talc & titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Raloxifene hydrochloride tablets are an estrogen agonist/antagonist indicated for: 1 Treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women. (1.1), 2 Reduction in risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women with osteoporosis. (1.2), 3 Reduction in risk of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women at high risk for invasive breast cancer. (1.3).",
"Description": "Raloxifene hydrochloride is an estrogen agonist/antagonist, commonly referred to as a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) that belongs to the benzothiophene class of compounds. The chemical structure is. The chemical designation is methanone, [6-hydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)benzo[b]thien-3-yl]-[4-[2-(1-piperidinyl)ethoxy]phenyl]-, hydrochloride. Raloxifene hydrochloride has the molecular formula C28H27NO4SHCl, which corresponds to a molecular weight of 510.05. Raloxifene hydrochloride, USP is off-white to pale-yellow solid that is very slightly soluble in water. Raloxifene hydrochloride, USP is supplied in a tablet dosage form for oral administration. Each raloxifene hydrochloride tablet, USP contains 60 mg of raloxifene hydrochloride, USP, which is the molar equivalent of 55.71 mg of free base. Inactive ingredients include anhydrous lactose, crospovidone, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, povidone, silicon dioxide and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Gabapentin Capsules are indicated for: : 1 Management of postherpetic neuralgia in adults, 2 Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures, with and without secondary generalization, in adults and pediatric patients 3 years and older with epilepsy.",
"Description": "The active ingredient in Gabapentin capsules, USP is gabapentin, which has the chemical name 1-(aminomethyl) cyclohexaneacetic acid. The molecular formula of gabapentin is C9H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 171.24. The structural formula of gabapentin is. Gabapentin is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a pKa1 of 3.7 and a pKa2 of 10.7. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is –1.25. Each gabapentin capsule, USP contains 100 mg, 300 mg, or 400 mg of gabapentin, USP and the following inactive ingredients: corn starch and magnesium stearate. The 100 mg capsule shell contains gelatin and titanium dioxide. The 300 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, titanium dioxide and yellow iron oxide. The 400 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, red iron oxide, titanium dioxide and yellow iron oxide. The imprinting ink contains FD&C Blue No. 1 Aluminum Lake, propylene glycol, shellac and titanium dioxide."

"Description": "Celecoxib is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, available as capsules containing 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg and 400 mg celecoxib for oral administration. The chemical name is 4-[5-(4-methylphenyl)-3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl] benzenesulfonamide and is a diaryl-substituted pyrazole. The molecular weight is 381.38. Its molecular formula is C17H14F3N3O2S, and it has the following chemical structure. Celecoxib is a white to off-white powder with a pKa of 11.1 (sulfonamide moiety). Celecoxib is hydrophobic (log P is 3.5) and is practically insoluble in aqueous media at physiological pH range.The inactive ingredients in celecoxib capsules include: lactose monohydrate, crospovidone, sodium lauryl sulphate, polyvinyl pyrrolidone, magnesium stearate and gelatin. "IndicationAndUsage": "Since no drug is innocuous, strict attention should be paid to the indications and contraindications, particularly when selecting drugs for chronic long-term use. Colestipol hydrochloride tablets are indicated as adjunctive therapy to diet for the reduction of elevated serum total and LDL-C in patients with primary hypercholesterolemia (elevated LDL-C) who do not respond adequately to diet. Generally, colestipol hydrochloride tablets have no clinically significant effect on serum triglycerides, but with their use, triglyceride levels may be raised in some patients. Therapy with lipid-altering agents should be a component of multiple risk factor intervention in those individuals at significantly increased risk for atherosclerotic vascular disease due to hypercholesterolemia. Treatment should begin and continue with dietary therapy (see NCEP guidelines). A minimum of six months of intensive dietary therapy and counseling should be carried out prior to initiation of drug therapy. Shorter periods may be considered in patients with severe elevations of LDL-C or with definite CHD. According to the NCEP guidelines, the goal of treatment is to lower LDL-C, and LDL-C is to be used to initiate and assess treatment response. Only if LDL-C levels are not available, should the Total-C be used to monitor therapy. The NCEP treatment guidelines are shown below. *Coronary heart disease or peripheral vascular disease (including symptomatic carotid artery disease). †Other risk factors for coronary heart disease (CHD) include: age (males: ≥45 years; female: ≥55 years or premature menopause without estrogen replacement therapy); family history of premature CHD; current cigarette smoking; hypertension; confirmed HDL-C <35 mg/dL (0.91 mmol/L); and diabetes mellitus. "Description": "The active ingredient in colestipol hydrochloride tablets USP is micronized colestipol hydrochloride, which is a lipid lowering agent for oral use. Colestipol is an insoluble, high molecular weight basic anion-exchange copolymer of diethylenetriamine and 1-chloro-2, 3-epoxypropane, with approximately 1 out of 5 amine nitrogens protonated (chloride form). It is a light yellow water-insoluble resin which is hygroscopic and swells when suspended in water or aqueous fluids. Each colestipol hydrochloride tablet USP contains one gram of micronized colestipol hydrochloride. Colestipol hydrochloride tablets are yellow in color and are tasteless and odorless. Inactive ingredients: acetone, cellulose acetate phthalate, ethanol, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, hypromellose, povidone, silicon dioxide and triacetin."

"Description": "The active ingredient in sevelamer carbonate tablets is sevelamer carbonate, a polymeric amine that binds phosphate and is meant for oral administration. It was developed as a pharmaceutical alternative to sevelamer hydrochloride (Renagel ®). Sevelamer carbonate is an anion exchange resin, with the same polymeric structure as sevelamer hydrochloride, in which carbonate replaces chloride as the counterion. While the counterions differ for the two salts, the polymer itself, the active moiety involved in phosphate-binding, is the same. Sevelamer carbonate tablets are known chemically as poly(allylamine-co-N,N′-diallyl-1,3-diamino-2-hydroxypropane) carbonate salt. Sevelamer carbonate is hygroscopic, but insoluble in water.
