"IndicationAndUsage": "Metformin hydrochloride tablets USP are indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults and children with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Metformin hydrochloride tablets USP are indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.",
"Description": "Metformin hydrochloride is an oral antihyperglycemic drug used in the management of type 2 diabetes. Metformin hydrochloride (N, N-dimethylimidodicarbonimidic diamide hydrochloride) is not chemically or pharmacologically related to any other classes of oral antihyperglycemic agents. The structural formula is as shown. Metformin hydrochloride is a white to off-white crystalline compound with a molecular formula of C4H11N5HCl and a molecular weight of 165.63. Metformin hydrochloride is freely soluble in water and is practically insoluble in acetone, ether and chloroform. The pKa of metformin is 12.4. The pH of a 1% aqueous solution of metformin hydrochloride is 6.68. Each metformin hydrochloride tablet USP, intended for oral administration, contains 500 mg or 850 mg or 1000 mg metformin hydrochloride. In addition, each metformin hydrochloride tablet USP contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol and povidone."

"Description": "Metformin hydrochloride tablets and metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets contain the antihyperglycemic agent metformin, which is a biguanide, in the form of monohydrochloride. The chemical name of metformin hydrochloride is N,N-dimethylimidodicarbonimidic diamide hydrochloride. The structural formula is as shown below:. Metformin hydrochloride USP is a white to off-white crystalline compound with a molecular formula of C 4H 11N 5 HCl and a molecular weight of 165.63. Metformin hydrochloride is freely soluble in water and is practically insoluble in acetone, ether, and chloroform. The pKa of metformin is 12.4. The pH of a 1% aqueous solution of metformin hydrochloride is 6.68. Metformin hydrochloride tablets USP contain 500 mg, 850 mg, or 1000 mg of metformin hydrochloride USP. Each tablet contains the inactive ingredients corn starch, povidone and magnesium stearate. In addition, the coating for each tablet contains hypromellose, talc, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol, and propylene glycol. Metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets, USP contains 500 mg or 750 mg of metformin hydrochloride as the active ingredient. Metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets USP, 500 mg and 750 mg contain the inactive ingredients sodium carboxymethyl cellulose, hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate and copovidone. FDA approved dissolution test specifications differ from USP."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules are indicated for the treatment of: : 1 Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults and pediatric patients 6 years and older [see Clinical Studies (14.1)]., 2 Moderate to severe binge eating disorder (BED) in adults [see Clinical Studies (14.2)]., 3 Limitations of Use:, 4 The use of lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules is not recommended in pediatric patients younger than 6 years of age because they had higher plasma exposure and a higher incidence of adverse reactions (e.g., weight loss) than patients 6 years and older at the same dosage [see Warnings and Precautions (5.5), Use in Specific Populations (8.4)]., 5 Lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules are not indicated or recommended for weight loss. Use of other sympathomimetic drugs for weight loss has been associated with serious cardiovascular adverse events. The safety and effectiveness of lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules for the treatment of obesity have not been established [see Warnings and Precautions (5.2)].",
"Description": "Lisdexamfetamine dimesylate capsules, a CNS stimulant, are capsules for once-a-day oral administration. The chemical designation for lisdexamfetamine dimesylate is (2S)-2,6-diamino-N-[(1S)-1-methyl-2-phenylethyl] hexanamide dimethanesulfonate. The molecular formula is C15H25N3O(CH4O3S)2, which corresponds to a molecular weight of 455.60. The chemical structure is:.
