"Description": "Antigen Laboratories’ allergenic extracts are manufactured from source material listed on the vial label. Lower concentrations (e.g. 1:50, 1:33, etc.) may be prepared either by dilution from a more concentrated stock or by direct extraction. The extract is a sterile solution containing extractables of source materials obtained from biological collecting and/or processing firms and Antigen Laboratories. All source materials are inspected by Antigen Laboratories’ technical personnel in accordance with 21 CFR 680.1 (b) (1). The route of administration for immunotherapy is subcutaneous. The routes of administration for diagnostic purposes are intradermal or prick-puncture of the skin. FOR ALLERGENIC EXTRACTS CONTAINING 50% V/V GLYCERINE AS PRESERVATIVE AND STABILIZER. INACTIVE INGREDIENTS. Sodium chloride…………………………………………………………….0.95%. Sodium bicarbonate………………………………………………………..0.24%. Glycerine…………………………………………………………………50% (v/v). Water for Injection…………………………………………………q.s. to volume. Active allergens are described by common and scientific name on the stock concentrate container label or on last page of this circular. Food allergenic extracts may be manufactured on a weight/volume (w/v) or volume/volume (v/v) basis. Food extracts made from dried raw material are extracted at 2-10% (1:50-1:10 w/v ratio) in extracting fluid containing 50% glycerine. Slurries of juicy fruits or vegetables (prepared with a minimum amount of water for injection) are combined with an equal volume of glycerine for a ration of 1:1 volume/volume (v/v). Sodium chloride and sodium bicarbonate are added to the slurry and glycerine mixture. Fresh egg white extract is prepared by adding one part raw egg white to nine parts of extracting fluid (1:9 v/v). Antigen E is considered the most important allergen of Short Ragweed pollen and is used for the standardization of Short Ragweed allergenic extracts. Stock mixtures containing Short Ragweed are analyzed for Antigen E content by radial immunodiffusion using Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (CBER) references and anti-serum. Antigen E content expressed as units of Antigen E per milliliter (U/ml) is printed on container label."

"Description": "0.9% Sodium Chloride Irrigation, USP is a sterile nonpyrogenic, isotonic solution in a single dose ARTHROMATIC plastic container for use as an arthroscopic irrigating solution. Each liter contains 9 g Sodium Chloride, USP (NaCl) in Water for Injection. pH 5.5 (4.5 to 7.0). Milliequivalents per liter: Sodium - 154, Chloride - 154. Osmolarity 308 mOsmol/L (calc.). No antimicrobial agent has been added. The ARTHROMATIC plastic container is fabricated from a specially formulated polyvinyl chloride (PL 146 Plastic). The amount of water that can permeate from inside the container into the overwrap is insufficient to affect the solution significantly. Solutions in contact with the plastic container can leach out certain of its chemical components in very small amounts within the expiration period, e.g., di-2-ethylhexylphthalate (DEHP), up to 5 parts per million. However, the safety of the plastic has been confirmed in tests in animals according to USP biological tests for plastic containers as well as by tissue culture toxicity studies."

"Description": "TachoSil Fibrin Sealant Patch is a sterile, bioabsorbable combination product comprised of two active substances (human plasma-derived fibrinogen and human plasma-derived thrombin) coated onto a collagen sponge of equine origin. The collagen sponge serves as a flexible and mechanically stable carrier for the active substances to facilitate application of the human fibrinogen and thrombin to the wound surface. The active side of the patch is yellow in color due to the presence of a colorant riboflavin (E101); and the non-active side is off-white in color. Each square inch of the patch contains approximately 35.5 mg of human fibrinogen and 12.9 units of human thrombin. Other inactive ingredients include equine collagen, human albumin, sodium chloride, sodium citrate, and L‑arginine hydrochloride. TachoSil is sterilized by gamma irradiation after completion of inner and outer packaging, resulting in a sterile product in a sterile inner package."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Allergenic extract is used for diagnostic testing and for the treatment (immunotherapy) of patients whose histories indicate that upon natural exposure to the allergen, they experience allergic symptoms. Confirmation is determined by skin testing. Diagnostic use of allergenic extracts usually begins with direct skin testing. This product is not intended for treatment of patients who do not manifest immediate hypersensitivity reactions to the allergenic extract following skin testing.",
"Description": "Antigen Laboratories’ allergenic extracts are manufactured from source material listed on the vial label.

<IndicationAndUsage>0.9% Sodium Chloride Irrigation, USP is indicated for use as an arthroscopic irrigating fluid with endoscopic instruments during arthroscopic procedures requiring distension and irrigation of the knee, shoulder, elbow, or other bone joints.</IndicationAndUsage>

0.9% Sodium Chloride Irrigation, USP is a sterile nonpyrogenic, isotonic solution in a single dose ARTHROMATIC plastic container for use as an arthroscopic irrigating solution. However, the safety of the plastic has been confirmed in tests in animals according to USP biological tests for plastic containers as well as by tissue culture toxicity studies.

Thrombin SolutionThrombin (Human): 2.5 - 6.5 units/mL1Calcium Chloride: 36 - 44 µmol/mLOther ingredients include: Human albumin, sodium chloride and water for injection (WFI). 1 The potency expressed in units is determined using a clotting assay against an internal reference standard for potency that has been calibrated against the World Health Organization (WHO) Second International Standard for Thrombin, 01/580. Therefore, a unit is equivalent to an International Unit (IU). Sealer Protein (Human). Sealer Protein (Human) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, vapor-heated and solvent/detergent treated preparation made from pooled human plasma. Sealer Protein (Human) is provided as a frozen liquid solution pre-filled into one side of a dual-chambered syringe (1). The active ingredient in Sealer Protein (Human) is fibrinogen. A Fibrinolysis Inhibitor, Aprotinin (Synthetic) is included in the Sealer Protein (Human) component to delay fibrinolysis. Aprotinin (Synthetic) is manufactured by solid phase synthesis from materials completely of non-human/non-animal origin. Thrombin (Human). Thrombin (Human) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, vapor-heated and solvent/detergent treated preparation made from pooled human plasma. Thrombin (Human) is provided as a frozen liquid solution pre-filled into one side of a dual-chambered syringe (2). Sealer Protein (Human) and Thrombin (Human) are made from pooled human plasma collected at US licensed collection centers. The vapor heat and solvent/detergent treatment steps used in the manufacturing process have been shown to be capable of significant viral reduction. No procedure, however, has been shown to be completely effective in removing viral infectivity from derivatives of human plasma [see Viral Clearance below and Warnings and Precautions (5.4)]. Viral Clearance. The manufacturing procedure includes processing steps designed to further reduce the risk of viral transmission. In particular, vapor heating and solvent/detergent treatment processes are included in the manufacturing of Sealer Protein Concentrate and Thrombin. Validation studies were conducted using samples drawn from manufacturing intermediates for each of the two human plasma derived components. These samples were spiked with stock virus suspensions of known titers followed by further processing under conditions equivalent to those in the respective manufacturing steps. The stock virus suspensions represent HIV, HBV, HCV, HAV and Human Parvovirus B19. The virus reduction factors (expressed as log10) of independent manufacturing steps are shown in Table 6 for each of the viruses tested. n.d. = not determined. HIV-1: Human immunodeficiency virus 1; HAV: Hepatitis A virus; BVDV: Bovine viral diarrhea virus, a model for Hepatitis C virus; PRV: Pseudorabies virus, a model for enveloped DNA viruses, among those Hepatitis B virus; MMV: Mice minute virus, a model for B19V. In addition, Human Parvovirus B19 was used to investigate the upstream Thrombin precursor mass capture step, the Sealer Protein early manufacturing steps and the Thrombin and Sealer Protein vapor heating steps. Using quantitative PCR assays, the estimated log reduction factors obtained were 1.7 and 3.4 for the Thrombin precursor mass capture step and Sealer Protein early manufacturing steps and >4 / 1.0 for the Thrombin / Sealer Protein vapor heating steps, respectively.

<IndicationAndUsage>ARTISS is a fibrin sealant indicated in adult and pediatric patients to: 1 Adhere autologous skin grafts to surgically prepared wound beds resulting from burns., 2 Adhere tissue flaps during facial rhytidectomy surgery.</IndicationAndUsage>

ARTISS [Fibrin Sealant (Human)] is a two-component fibrin sealant made from pooled human plasma. Sealer Protein SolutionTotal protein: 96 -125 mg/mLFibrinogen: 67 - 106 mg/mLFibrinolysis Inhibitor, Aprotinin (Synthetic): 2250 - 3750 Kallidinogenase Inhibiting Unit/mL. Other ingredients include: Human albumin, tri-sodium citrate, histidine, niacinamide, polysorbate 80 and water for injection (WFI). Sealer Protein (Human) and Thrombin (Human) are made from pooled human plasma collected at U.S. licensed collection centers. In particular, vapor heating and solvent/detergent treatment processes are included in the manufacturing of Sealer Protein and Thrombin. Validation studies were conducted using samples drawn from manufacturing intermediates for each of the two human plasma derived components. These samples were spiked with stock virus suspensions of known titers followed by further processing under conditions equivalent to those in the respective manufacturing steps. The stock virus suspensions represent HIV-1, BVDV, PRV, HAV and MMV (Human Parvovirus B19). The virus reduction factors (expressed as log10) of independent manufacturing steps are shown in Table 5 for each of the viruses tested. Table 5: Mean Reduction Factors [log10] for Virus Removal and/or Inactivation. Sealer Protein Component. Thrombin Component.

<IndicationAndUsage>Allergenic extract is used for diagnostic testing and for the treatment (immunotherapy) of patients whose histories indicate that upon natural exposure to the allergen, they experience allergic symptoms. Confirmation is determined by skin testing. Diagnostic use of allergenic extracts usually begins with direct skin testing. This product is not intended for treatment of patients who do not manifest immediate hypersensitivity reactions to the allergenic extract following skin testing.</IndicationAndUsage>

Antigen Laboratories’ allergenic extracts are manufactured from source material listed on the vial label. Antigen E content expressed as units of Antigen E per milliliter (U/ml) is printed on container label.
