"IndicationAndUsage": "TIVICAY and TIVICAY PD are indicated in combination with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HIV‑1 infection in adults (treatment-naïve or -experienced) and in pediatric patients (treatment-naïve or -experienced but integrase strand transfer inhibitor [INSTI]-naïve) weighing at least 2 kg [see Microbiology (12.4)]. TIVICAY is indicated in combination with rilpivirine as a complete regimen for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults to replace the current antiretroviral regimen in those who are virologically suppressed (HIV-1 RNA less than 50 copies/mL) on a stable antiretroviral regimen for at least 6 months with no history of treatment failure or known substitutions associated with resistance to either antiretroviral agent.",
"Description": "TIVICAY contains dolutegravir, as dolutegravir sodium, an HIV INSTI. The chemical name of dolutegravir sodium is sodium (4R,12aS)-9-{[(2,4-difluorophenyl)methyl]carbamoyl}-4-methyl-6,8-dioxo-3,4,6,8,12,12a-hexahydro-2H-pyrido[1',2':4,5]pyrazino[2,1-b][1,3]oxazin-7-olate. The empirical formula is C20H18F2N3NaO5, and the molecular weight is 441.36 g/mol. It has the following structural formula. Dolutegravir sodium is a white to light yellow powder and is slightly soluble in water. Each film-coated tablet of TIVICAY for oral administration contains 10.5, 26.3, or 52.6 mg of dolutegravir sodium, which is equivalent to 10, 25, or 50 mg dolutegravir free acid, respectively, and the following inactive ingredients: D-mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K29/32, sodium starch glycolate, and sodium stearyl fumarate. The tablet film‑coating contains the inactive ingredients iron oxide yellow (25-mg and 50-mg tablets only), macrogol/PEG, polyvinyl alcohol-part hydrolyzed, talc, and titanium dioxide. Each TIVICAY PD tablet for oral suspension contains 5.26 mg of dolutegravir sodium, which is equivalent to 5 mg dolutegravir free acid, and the following inactive ingredients: calcium sulfate dihydrate, crospovidone, mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K29/32, silicified microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, strawberry cream flavor, sucralose, and sodium stearyl fumarate. The tablet film-coating contains hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "TRIUMEQ and TRIUMEQ PD are indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and in pediatric patients aged at least 3 months and weighing at least 6 kg. Limitations of Use. TRIUMEQ and TRIUMEQ PD alone are not recommended in patients with resistance‑associated integrase substitutions or clinically suspected integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI) resistance because the dose of dolutegravir in TRIUMEQ and TRIUMEQ PD is insufficient in these subpopulations. "Description": "TRIUMEQ and TRIUMEQ PD. TRIUMEQ and TRIUMEQ PD contain an INSTI (dolutegravir) and 2 nucleoside analogues (abacavir and lamivudine) with inhibitory activity against HIV. Each film-coated tablet of TRIUMEQ, for oral use, contains 600 mg of abacavir (present as 702 mg of abacavir sulfate), 50 mg of dolutegravir (present as 52.6 mg of dolutegravir sodium), and 300 mg of lamivudine. The inactive ingredients of TRIUMEQ tablets include D-mannitol, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, and sodium starch glycolate. The tablet film‑coating contains the inactive ingredients iron oxide black, iron oxide red, macrogol/PEG, polyvinyl alcohol–part hydrolyzed, talc, and titanium oxide. Each film-coated tablet of TRIUMEQ PD for oral suspension contains 60 mg of abacavir (present as 70.2 mg of abacavir sulfate), 5 mg of dolutegravir (present as 5.26 mg of dolutegravir sodium), and 30 mg of lamivudine. The inactive ingredients of TRIUMEQ PD tablets include acesulfame potassium, crospovidone, mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone K29/32, silicified microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, sodium stearyl fumarate, strawberry cream flavor and sucralose. The tablet film-coating contains the inactive ingredients: ferric oxide yellow, macrogol/PEG, polyvinyl alcohol-part hydrolyzed, talc and titanium dioxide. Abacavir Sulfate. The chemical name of abacavir sulfate is (1S,cis)-4-[2-amino-6-(cyclopropylamino)-9H-purin-9-yl]-2-cyclopentene-1-methanol sulfate (salt) (2:1). It has a molecular formula of (C14H18N6O)2H2SO4 and a molecular weight of 670.76 g/mol. It has the following structural formula. "IndicationAndUsage": "Metoprolol tartrate tablets are a beta-adrenergic blocker indicated for the treatment of: 1 Hypertension, to lower blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions. ( 1.1) , 2 Angina Pectoris. ( 1.2) , 3 Myocardial Infarction, to reduce the risk of cardiovascular mortality when used in conjunction with intravenous metoprolol therapy in patients with definite or suspected acute myocardial infarction in hemodynamically stable patients. ( 1.3) .",
"Description": "Metoprolol tartrate tablets, USP contain metoprolol tartrate, a selective beta 1-adrenoreceptor blocking agent. Metoprolol tartrate is (±)-1-(Isopropylamino)-3-[p-(2-methoxyethyl) phenoxy]-2-propanol L-(+)-tartrate (2:1) salt, and its structural formula is. Metoprolol tartrate, USP is a white, crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 684.82. It is very soluble in water; freely soluble in methylene chloride, in chloroform, and in alcohol; slightly soluble in acetone; and insoluble in ether. Metoprolol tartrate tablets, USP are available as 25 mg, 37.5 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg or 100 mg tablets for oral administration containing 25 mg, 37.5 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg or 100 mg metoprolol tartrate, respectively. Inactive Ingredients:anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polydextrose, polyethylene glycol, povidone, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide and triacetin. The 37.5 mg tablets also contain FD&C Blue No. 2 Aluminum Lake. The 50 mg tablets also contain FD&C Blue No. 2 Aluminum Lake, D&C Red No. 27 Aluminum Lake and FD&C Red No. 40 Aluminum Lake. The 100 mg tablets also contain FD&C Blue No. 2 Aluminum Lake."

"Description": "COMBIVIR tablets are combination tablets containing lamivudine and zidovudine. Lamivudine (EPIVIR) and zidovudine (RETROVIR, azidothymidine, AZT, or ZDV) are synthetic nucleoside analogues with activity against HIV‑1. COMBIVIR tablets are for oral administration. Each film‑coated tablet contains 150 mg of lamivudine, 300 mg of zidovudine, and the inactive ingredients colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium starch glycolate, and titanium dioxide. Lamivudine has also been referred to as (-)2′,3′-dideoxy, 3′-thiacytidine. It has a molecular formula of C8H11N3O3S and a molecular weight of 229.3 g per mol. It has the following structural formula. Lamivudine is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a solubility of approximately 70 mg per mL in water at 20°C. EPIVIR tablets are for oral administration. Each scored 150-mg film-coated tablet contains 150 mg of lamivudine and the inactive ingredients hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium starch glycolate, and titanium dioxide. Each 300-mg film-coated tablet contains 300 mg of lamivudine and the inactive ingredients black iron oxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium starch glycolate, and titanium dioxide. EPIVIR oral solution is for oral administration. One milliliter (1 mL) of EPIVIR oral solution contains 10 mg of lamivudine (10 mg per mL) in an aqueous solution and the inactive ingredients artificial strawberry and banana flavors, citric acid (anhydrous), methylparaben, propylene glycol, propylparaben, sodium citrate (dihydrate), and sucrose (200 mg)."

The chemical name of lamivudine is (2R,cis)-4-amino-1-(2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-oxathiolan-5-yl)-(1H)-pyrimidin-2-one. Lamivudine is the (-)enantiomer of a dideoxy analogue of cytidine. Lamivudine has also been referred to as (-)2′,3′-dideoxy, 3′-thiacytidine. It has a molecular formula of C8H11N3O3S and a molecular weight of 229.3 g per mol. It has the following structural formula. Lamivudine is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a solubility of approximately 70 mg per mL in water at 20°C. EPIVIR tablets are for oral administration. Each scored 150-mg film-coated tablet contains 150 mg of lamivudine and the inactive ingredients hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium starch glycolate, and titanium dioxide. Each 300-mg film-coated tablet contains 300 mg of lamivudine and the inactive ingredients black iron oxide, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, sodium starch glycolate, and titanium dioxide. EPIVIR oral solution is for oral administration. One milliliter (1 mL) of EPIVIR oral solution contains 10 mg of lamivudine (10 mg per mL) in an aqueous solution and the inactive ingredients artificial strawberry and banana flavors, citric acid (anhydrous), methylparaben, propylene glycol, propylparaben, sodium citrate (dihydrate), and sucrose (200 mg)."

"Description": "EPZICOM. EPZICOM tablets contain the following 2 synthetic nucleoside analogues: abacavir (ZIAGEN, also a component of TRIZIVIR) and lamivudine (also known as EPIVIR or 3TC) with inhibitory activity against HIV‑1. EPZICOM tablets are for oral administration. Each orange, film‑coated tablet contains the active ingredients 600 mg of abacavir as abacavir sulfate and 300 mg of lamivudine, and the inactive ingredients magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium starch glycolate. The tablets are coated with a film (OPADRY orange YS-1-13065-A) that is made of FD&C Yellow No. 6, hypromellose, polyethylene glycol 400, polysorbate 80, and titanium dioxide. Abacavir Sulfate. The chemical name of abacavir sulfate is (1S,cis)-4-[2-amino-6-(cyclopropylamino)-9H-purin-9-yl]-2-cyclopentene-1-methanol sulfate (salt) (2:1). Abacavir sulfate is the enantiomer with 1S, 4R absolute configuration on the cyclopentene ring. It has a molecular formula of (C14H18N6O)2H2SO4 and a molecular weight of 670.76 g per mol. It has the following structural formula. Abacavir sulfate is a white to off‑white solid and is soluble in water. In vivo, abacavir sulfate dissociates to its free base, abacavir. "Description": "LEXIVA (fosamprenavir calcium) is a prodrug of amprenavir, an inhibitor of HIV protease. The chemical name of fosamprenavir calcium is (3S)-tetrahydrofuran-3-yl (1S,2R)-3-[[(4-aminophenyl) sulfonyl](isobutyl)amino]-1-benzyl-2-(phosphonooxy) propylcarbamate monocalcium salt. Fosamprenavir calcium is a single stereoisomer with the (3S)(1S,2R) configuration. It has a molecular formula of C25H34CaN3O9PS and a molecular weight of 623.7. It has the following structural formula. Fosamprenavir calcium is a white to cream-colored solid with a solubility of approximately 0.31 mg per mL in water at 25°C. LEXIVA tablets are available for oral administration in a strength of 700 mg of fosamprenavir as fosamprenavir calcium (equivalent to approximately 600 mg of amprenavir). Each 700-mg tablet contains the inactive ingredients colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and povidone K30. The tablet film-coating contains the inactive ingredients hypromellose, iron oxide red, titanium dioxide, and triacetin. LEXIVA oral suspension is available in a strength of 50 mg per mL of fosamprenavir as fosamprenavir calcium equivalent to approximately 43 mg of amprenavir. LEXIVA oral suspension is a white to off-white suspension with a grape-bubblegum-peppermint flavor. Each one milliliter (1 mL) contains the inactive ingredients artificial grape-bubblegum flavor, calcium chloride dihydrate, hypromellose, methylparaben, natural peppermint flavor, polysorbate 80, propylene glycol, propylparaben, purified water, and sucralose."

"Description": "RETROVIR is the brand name for zidovudine (formerly called azidothymidine [AZT]), a pyrimidine nucleoside analogue active against HIV-1. The chemical name of zidovudine is 3′-azido-3′-deoxythymidine; it has the following structural formula. Zidovudine is a white to beige, odorless, crystalline solid with a molecular weight of 267.24 and a solubility of 20.1 mg per mL in water at 25°C. The molecular formula is C10H13N5O4. RETROVIR capsules are for oral administration. Each capsule contains 100 mg of zidovudine and the inactive ingredients corn starch, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium starch glycolate. The 100-mg empty hard gelatin capsule, printed with edible black ink, consists of black iron oxide, dimethylpolysiloxane, gelatin, pharmaceutical shellac, soya lecithin, and titanium dioxide. Each mL of RETROVIR oral solution contains 10 mg of zidovudine and the inactive ingredients sodium benzoate 0.2% (added as a preservative), citric acid, flavors, glycerin, and liquid sucrose. Sodium hydroxide may be added to adjust pH. RETROVIR injection is a sterile solution for IV infusion only. Each mL contains 10 mg zidovudine in water for injection. Hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide may have been added to adjust the pH to approximately 5.5. RETROVIR injection contains no preservatives."

Each capsule contains 100 mg of zidovudine and the inactive ingredients corn starch, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium starch glycolate. The 100-mg empty hard gelatin capsule, printed with edible black ink, consists of black iron oxide, dimethylpolysiloxane, gelatin, pharmaceutical shellac, soya lecithin, and titanium dioxide. Each mL of RETROVIR oral solution contains 10 mg of zidovudine and the inactive ingredients sodium benzoate 0.2% (added as a preservative), citric acid, flavors, glycerin, and liquid sucrose. Sodium hydroxide may be added to adjust pH. RETROVIR injection is a sterile solution for IV infusion only. Each mL contains 10 mg zidovudine in water for injection. Hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide may have been added to adjust the pH to approximately 5.5. RETROVIR injection contains no preservatives."

"IndicationAndUsage": "TRIZIVIR is indicated in combination with other antiretrovirals or alone for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV‑1) infection. "Description": "TRIZIVIR tablets contain the following 3 synthetic nucleoside analogues: abacavir (ZIAGEN), lamivudine (also known as EPIVIR or 3TC), and zidovudine (also known as RETROVIR, azidothymidine, or ZDV) with inhibitory activity against HIV-1. TRIZIVIR tablets are for oral administration. Each film-coated tablet contains the active ingredients 300 mg of abacavir as abacavir sulfate, 150 mg of lamivudine, and 300 mg of zidovudine, and the inactive ingredients magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium starch glycolate. The tablets are coated with a film (OPADRY green 03B11434) that is made of FD&C Blue No. 2, hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide, and yellow iron oxide. Abacavir Sulfate: The chemical name of abacavir sulfate is (1S,cis)-4-[2-amino-6-(cyclopropylamino)-9H-purin-9-yl]-2-cyclopentene-1-methanol sulfate (salt) (2:1). Abacavir sulfate is the enantiomer with 1S, 4R absolute configuration on the cyclopentene ring. It has a molecular formula of (C14H18N6O)2H2SO4 and a molecular weight of 670.76 g per mol. It has the following structural formula. Abacavir sulfate is a white to off-white solid and soluble in water. Dosages are expressed in terms of abacavir. Lamivudine: The chemical name of lamivudine is (2R,cis)-4-amino-1-(2-hydroxymethyl-1,3-oxathiolan-5-yl)-(1H)-pyrimidin-2-one. Lamivudine is the (-)enantiomer of a dideoxy analogue of cytidine. Lamivudine has also been referred to as (-)2′,3′-dideoxy, 3′-thiacytidine. It has a molecular formula of C8H11N3O3S and a molecular weight of 229.3 g per mol. It has the following structural formula. Lamivudine is a white to off-white crystalline solid and is soluble in water. Zidovudine: The chemical name of zidovudine is 3′-azido-3′-deoxythymidine. It has a molecular formula of C10H13N5O4 and a molecular weight of 267.24 g per mol. It has the following structural formula. Zidovudine is a white to beige, odorless, crystalline solid with a solubility of 20.1 mg per mL in water at 25°C."

Blocking this interaction prevents CCR5-tropic HIV-1 entry into cells. SELZENTRY film-coated tablets for oral administration contain 25, 75, 150, or 300 mg of maraviroc and the following inactive ingredients: dibasic calcium phosphate (anhydrous), magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium starch glycolate. The film coat (Opadry II Blue [85G20583]) contains FD&C blue #2 aluminum lake, soya lecithin, polyethylene glycol (macrogol 3350), polyvinyl alcohol, talc, and titanium dioxide. SELZENTRY oral solution contains 20 mg per mL of maraviroc and the following inactive ingredients: citric acid (anhydrous), purified water, sodium benzoate, sodium citrate dihydrate, strawberry flavoring (501440T), and sucralose.
