"IndicationAndUsage": "Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride tablets are indicated as an adjunct to rest and physical therapy for relief of muscle spasm associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. Improvement is manifested by relief of muscle spasm and its associated signs and symptoms, namely, pain, tenderness, limitation of motion, and restriction in activities of daily living. Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride tablets should be used only for short periods (up to two or three weeks) because adequate evidence of effectiveness for more prolonged use is not available and because muscle spasm associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions is generally of short duration and specific therapy for longer periods is seldom warranted. Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride tablets have not been found effective in the treatment of spasticity associated with cerebral or spinal cord disease, or in children with cerebral palsy.",
"Description": "Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride is a white, crystalline tricyclic amine salt with the empirical formula C20H21N HCl and a molecular weight of 311.9. It has a melting point of 217°C, and a pKa of 8.47 at 25°C. It is freely soluble in water and alcohol, sparingly soluble in isopropanol, and insoluble in hydrocarbon solvents. If aqueous solutions are made alkaline, the free base separates. Cyclobenzaprine HCl is designated chemically as 3-(5H-dibenzo[a,d]cyclohepten-5-ylidene)-N,N-dimethyl-1-propanamine hydrochloride, and has the following structural formula. Cyclobenzaprine Hydrochloride Tablets, USP are supplied as 5 mg and 10 mg tablets for oral administration. Each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, FD&C Yellow #6, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, and titanium dioxide; 5 mg tablets also contain FD&C Red #40 and 10 mg tablets contain D&C Yellow #10 and polysorbate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Clonidine hydrochloride USP tablets are indicated in the treatment of hypertension. Clonidine hydrochloride USP tablets may be employed alone or concomitantly with other antihypertensive agents.",
"Description": "Clonidine hydrochloride USP is a centrally acting alpha-agonist hypotensive agent available as tablets for oral administration in three dosage strengths: 0.1 mg, 0.2 mg and 0.3 mg. The 0.1 mg tablet is equivalent to 0.087 mg of the free base. Clonidine hydrochloride tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: lactose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, and sodium starch glycolate. The 0.1 mg also contains D&C yellow #10 aluminum lake, and the 0.3 mg contains D&C yellow #10 aluminum lake and FD&C blue #1 aluminum lake. Clonidine hydrochloride is an imidazoline derivative and exists as a mesomeric compound. The chemical name is 2-(2,6-dichlorophenylamino)-2-imidazoline hydrochloride. The following is the structural formula. Clonidine hydrochloride is an odorless, bitter, white, crystalline substance soluble in water and alcohol."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium tablets, amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium for oral suspension, and amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium tablets (chewable) are indicated for the treatment of infections in adults and pediatric patients, due to susceptible isolates of the designated bacteria in the conditions listed below: 1 Lower Respiratory Tract Infections– caused by beta–lactamase–producing isolates of Haemophilus influenzaeand Moraxella catarrhalis. , 2 Acute Bacterial Otitis Media– caused by beta–lactamase–producing isolates of H. influenzaeand M. catarrhalis. , 3 Sinusitis– caused by beta–lactamase–producing isolates of H. influenzaeand M. catarrhalis. , 4 Skin and Skin Structure Infections– caused by beta–lactamase–producing isolates of Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Klebsiellaspecies. , 5 Urinary Tract Infections– caused by beta–lactamase–producing isolates of E. coli, Klebsiellaspecies, and Enterobacterspecies. .",
"Description": "Amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium tablets, amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium for oral suspension, and amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium tablets (chewable) are oral antibacterial combinations consisting of the semisynthetic antibiotic amoxicillin, USP and the beta–lactamase inhibitor, clavulanate potassium, USP (the potassium salt of clavulanic acid). Amoxicillin, USP is an analog of ampicillin, derived from the basic penicillin nucleus, 6–aminopenicillanic acid. Chemically, amoxicillin, USP is ( 2S, 5R, 6R)–6–[( R)–(–)–2–Amino–2–( p–hydroxyphenyl)acetamido]–3,3–dimethyl–7–oxo–4–thia–1–azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane–2–carboxylic acid trihydrate and has the following structural formula:. C 16H 19N 3O 5S3H 2O M.W. 419.45. Clavulanic acid is produced by the fermentation of Streptomyces clavuligerus.It is a beta-lactam structurally related to the penicillins and possesses the ability to inactivate some beta-lactamases by blocking the active sites of these enzymes. Chemically, clavulanate potassium, USP is potassium ( Z)-(2 R,5 R)-3-(2-hydroxyethylidene)-7-oxo-4-oxa-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]-heptane-2-carboxylate, and has the following structural formula:. C 8H 8KNO 5M.W. 237.25. Amoxicillin and Clavulanate Potassium Tablets, USP: 1 500 mg/125 mg:Each tablet contains 500 mg of amoxicillin, USP as the trihydrate, and 125 mg of clavulanic acid (equivalent to 149 mg of clavulanate potassium). , 2 875 mg/125 mg:Each tablet contains 875 mg of amoxicillin, USP as the trihydrate, and 125 mg of clavulanic acid (equivalent to 149 mg of clavulanate potassium). ."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Levetiracetam is indicated as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures in adults and children 4 years of age and older with epilepsy.",
"Description": "Levetiracetam is an antiepileptic drug available as 250 mg (blue), 500 mg (yellow) and 750 mg (pink) tablets for oral administration. The chemical name of levetiracetam, a single enantiomer, is (-)-(S)-〈-ethyl-2-oxo-1- pyrrolidine acetamide, its molecular formula is C8H14N2O2 and its molecular weight is 170.21. Levetiracetam is chemically unrelated to existing antiepileptic drugs (AEDs). It has the following structural formula. Levetiracetam is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a faint odor and a bitter taste. It is very soluble in water (104.0 g/100 mL). It is freely soluble in chloroform (65.3 g/100 mL) and in methanol (53.6 g/100 mL), soluble in ethanol (16.5 g/100 mL), sparingly soluble in acetonitrile (5.7 g/100 mL) and practically insoluble in n-hexane. (Solubility limits are expressed as g/100 mL solvent.). Levetiracetam tablets contain the labeled amount of levetiracetam. Inactive ingredients: Colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, magnesium stearate, povidone, talc. The individual tablets contain the following coating materials. 250 mg tablets: Opadry Blue (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, polyethylene glycol 4000, titanium dioxide, FD&C Blue #2 Indigo and Carmine Aluminum Lake). 500 mg tablets: Opadry Yellow (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, polyethylene glycol 4000, titanium dioxide and Iron Oxide Yellow). 750 mg tablets: Opadry Pink (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, polyethylene glycol 4000, titanium dioxide, Iron Oxide Red and Iron Oxide Yellow)."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Tacrolimus capsules are a calcineurin-inhibitor immunosuppressant indicated for the prophylaxis of organ rejection in adult and pediatric patients receiving allogeneic liver, kidney, or heart transplants, in combination with other immunosuppressants. ( 1.1).",
"Description": "Tacrolimus, previously known as FK506, is the active ingredient in tacrolimus capsules. Tacrolimus is a calcineurin-inhibitor immunosuppressant produced by Streptomyces tsukubaensis. Chemically, tacrolimus is designated as (‒)-(3S,4R,5S,8R,9E,12S,14S,15R,16S,18R,19R,26aS)-8-Allyl-5,6,8,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,24,25,26,26a-hexadecahydro-5,19-dihydroxy-3-[(E)-2-[(1R,3R,4R)-4-hydroxy-3-methoxycyclohexyl]-1-methylvinyl]-14,16-dimethoxy-4,10,12,18-tetramethyl-15,19-epoxy-3H-pyrido[2,1-c][1,4]oxaazacyclotricosine-1,7,20,21(4H,23H)-tetrone monohydrate. The chemical structure of tacrolimus is. Tacrolimus has a molecular formula of C 44H 69NO 12H 2O and a formula weight of 822.03. Tacrolimus, USP appears as a white to off-white powder. It is insoluble in water, very soluble in ethanol, and soluble in methanol and chloroform. Tacrolimus capsules, USP are available for oral administration as capsules containing the equivalent of 0.5 mg, 1 mg or 5 mg of anhydrous tacrolimus. Inactive ingredients include anhydrous lactose, black iron oxide, colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, gelatin, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide and yellow iron oxide. The 0.5 mg capsules also contain D&C Red No. 28, D&C Yellow No. 10 and FD&C Red No. 40, the 1 mg capsules also contain FD&C Blue No. 1 and FD&C Red No. 3 and the 5 mg capsules also contain D&C Red No. 33, D&C Red No. 28 and D&C Yellow No. 10. In addition, the black imprinting ink contains black iron oxide, D&C Yellow No. 10 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Blue No. 1 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Blue No. 2 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Red No. 40 Aluminum Lake, propylene glycol and shellac glaze. "IndicationAndUsage": "Alprazolam tablets are indicated for the: 1 acute treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in adults., 2 treatment of panic disorder (PD), with or without agoraphobia in adults.",
"Description": "Alprazolam tablets, USP contain alprazolam which is a triazolo analog of the 1,4 benzodiazepine class of central nervous system-active compounds. The chemical name of alprazolam is 8-Chloro-1-methyl-6-phenyl-4H-s-triazolo [4,3-α] [1,4] benzodiazepine. The structural formula is. Alprazolam USP is a white to off-white, crystalline powder, which is soluble in methanol or ethanol but which has no appreciable solubility in water at physiological pH. Each alprazolam tablet USP, for oral administration, contains 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, or 2 mg of alprazolam USP. Inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, docusate sodium 85% with sodium benzoate 15%, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and microcrystalline cellulose. In addition, the 0.5 mg tablet contains FD&C Yellow # 6 aluminum lake and the 1 mg tablet contains FD&C Blue No. 2 lake."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Doxazosin tablets USP are indicated for the treatment of both the urinary outflow obstruction and obstructive and irritative symptoms associated with BPH: obstructive symptoms (hesitation, intermittency, dribbling, weak urinary stream, incomplete emptying of the bladder) and irritative symptoms (nocturia, daytime frequency, urgency, burning). Doxazosin tablets USP may be used in all BPH patients whether hypertensive or normotensive. In patients with hypertension and BPH, both conditions were effectively treated with doxazosin tablets USP monotherapy. Doxazosin tablets USP provide rapid improvement in symptoms and urinary flow rate in 66 to 71% of patients. Sustained improvements with doxazosin tablets USP were seen in patients treated for up to 14 weeks in double-blind studies and up to 2 years in open-label studies.",
"Description": "Doxazosin mesylate is a quinazoline compound that is a selective inhibitor of the alpha 1 subtype of alpha-adrenergic receptors. The chemical name of doxazosin mesylate is 1-(4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-quinazolinyl)-4-(1,4-benzodioxan-2-ylcarbonyl) piperazine methanesulfonate. The empirical formula for doxazosin mesylate is C 23H 25N 5O 5 CH 4O 3S and the molecular weight is 547.6. It has the following structure:. Doxazosin mesylate is freely soluble in dimethylsulfoxide, soluble in dimethylformamide, slightly soluble in methanol, ethanol, and water (0.8% at 25°C), and very slightly soluble in acetone and methylene chloride. Doxazosin tablets USP are available as colored tablets for oral use and contains 1 mg (White to off white), 2 mg (Cream to yellow), 4 mg (Cream to yellow) and 8 mg (White to off white) of doxazosin as the free base. The inactive ingredients for all tablets are: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium lauryl sulfate, magnesium stearate and sodium starch glycolate. The 2 mg & 4 mg tablet contains ferric oxide yellow."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Glycopyrrolate Injection is an anticholinergic indicated: in anesthesia (adult and pediatric patients) for reduction of salivary, tracheobronchial, and pharyngeal secretions, reduction of volume and acidity of gastric secretions, and blockade of cardiac inhibitory reflexes during induction of anesthesia and intubation. intraoperatively to counteract surgically or drug-induced or vagal reflex-associated arrhythmias. for protection against peripheral muscarinic effects of cholinergic agents. (1) in peptic ulcer (adults) To reduce symptoms of a peptic ulcer as an adjunct to treatment of peptic ulcer when rapid anticholinergic effect is desired or oral medication is not tolerated. Limitations of Use Glycopyrrolate Injection is not indicated as monotherapy for the treatment of peptic ulcer because effectiveness in peptic ulcer healing has not been established. (1).",
"Description": "Glycopyrrolate is a synthetic anticholinergic agent. It is a quaternary ammonium salt with the following chemical name: 3[(cyclopentylhydroxyphenylacetyl)oxy]-1,1-dimethyl pyrrolidinium bromide. The molecular formula is C19H28BrNO3 and the molecular weight is 398.33. Its structural formula is as follows:. Glycopyrrolate, USP occurs as a white, odorless, crystalline powder. It is soluble in water and alcohol, and practically insoluble in chloroform and ether. It is completely ionized at physiological pH values. Glycopyrrolate Injection, USP, is a clear, colorless, sterile liquid with a pH of 2.0 to 3.0. The partition coefficient of glycopyrrolate in n-octanol/water system is 0.304 (log10 P = -1.52) at ambient room temperature (24°C). Glycopyrrolate injection, USP, is intended for intramuscular or intravenous administration. Each 1 mL contains 0.2 mg of glycopyrrolate USP, water for injection USP, hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide as pH adjusters and benzyl alcohol, NF 0.9% as preservative."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Losartan potassium tablet is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) indicated for: 1 Treatment of hypertension, to lower blood pressure in adults and children greater than 6 years old. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions. (1.1), 2 Reduction of the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. There is evidence that this benefit does not apply to Black patients. (1.2), 3 Treatment of diabetic nephropathy with an elevated serum creatinine and proteinuria in patients with type 2 diabetes and a history of hypertension. (1.3).",
"Description": "Losartan potassium is an angiotensin II receptor blocker acting on the AT1 receptor subtype.Losartan potassium, a non-peptide molecule, is chemically described as 2-butyl-4-chloro-1-[p-(o-1H-tetrazol-5- ylphenyl)benzyl]imidazole-5-methanol monopotassium salt. Its empirical formula is C22H22ClKN6O, and its structural formula is. Losartan potassium is a white to off-white powder with a molecular weight of 461.01. It is freely soluble in water, soluble in alcohols, and slightly soluble in common organic solvents, such as acetonitrile and methyl ethyl ketone. Oxidation of the 5-hydroxymethyl group on the imidazole ring results in the active metabolite of losartan. Losartan potassium tablets USP are available as tablets for oral administration containing either 25 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg of losartan potassium and the following inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch and opadry white. The opadry white contains hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose and titanium dioxide. Losartan potassium 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg tablets contain potassium in the following amounts: 2.12 mg (0.054 mEq), 4.24 mg (0.108 mEq) and 8.48 mg (0.216 mEq), respectively."

It is a white to almost white crystalline powder soluble in polar organic solvents and buffered aqueous solutions. Ramipril melts between 105°C and 112°C. Ramipril’s chemical name is (2S,3aS,6aS)-1[(S)-N-[(S)-1-Carboxy-3-phenylpropyl] alanyl] octa hydrocyclopenta [b]pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid, 1-ethyl ester; its structural formula is. Its molecular formula is C23H32N2O5, and its molecular weight is 416.5. Ramiprilat, the diacid metabolite of ramipril, is a non-sulfhydryl angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor. Ramipril is converted to ramiprilat by hepatic cleavage of the ester group. Each ramipril tablet intended for oral administration contains 1.25 mg, 2.5 mg, 5 mg and 10 mg of ramipril. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch and sodium stearyl fumarate. Additionally each 1.25 mg tablet contains ferric oxide yellow, each 2.5 mg tablet contains ferric oxide red and ferric oxide yellow and each 5 mg tablet contains ferric oxide red."
