"IndicationAndUsage": "Propofol Injectable Emulsion is an IV general anesthetic and sedation drug that can be used as described in the table below. Safety, effectiveness and dosing guidelines for Propofol Injectable Emulsion have not been established for MAC Sedation in the pediatric population; therefore, it is not recommended for this use (see PRECAUTIONS, Pediatric Use). Propofol Injectable Emulsion is not recommended for induction of anesthesia below the age of 3 years or for maintenance of anesthesia below the age of 2 months because its safety and effectiveness have not been established in those populations. In the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Propofol Injectable Emulsion can be administered to intubated, mechanically ventilated adult patients to provide continuous sedation and control of stress responses only by persons skilled in the medical management of critically ill patients and trained in cardiovascular resuscitation and airway management. Propofol Injectable Emulsion is not indicated for use in Pediatric ICU sedation since the safety of this regimen has not been established (see PRECAUTIONS, Pediatric Use). Propofol Injectable Emulsion is not recommended for obstetrics, including Cesarean section deliveries. Propofol Injectable Emulsion crosses the placenta, and as with other general anesthetic agents, the administration of Propofol Injectable Emulsion may be associated with neonatal depression (see PRECAUTIONS). Propofol Injectable Emulsion is not recommended for use in nursing mothers because propofol has been reported to be excreted in human milk, and the effects of oral absorption of small amounts of propofol are not known (see PRECAUTIONS).",
"Description": "Propofol Injectable Emulsion, USP is a white or almost white sterile, nonpyrogenic homogenous emulsion containing 10 mg/mL of propofol suitable for intravenous administration. Propofol is chemically described as 2,6-diisopropylphenol. The structural formula is:. Propofol is slightly soluble in water and, thus, is formulated in a white, oil-in-water emulsion. The pKa is 11. The octanol/water partition coefficient for propofol is 6761:1 at a pH of 6 to 8.5. In addition to the active component, propofol, the formulation also contains soybean oil (100 mg/mL), glycerin (22.5 mg/mL), egg phospholipids (12 mg/mL); and sodium benzoate (0.1%); with sodium hydroxide to adjust pH. The Propofol Injectable Emulsion, USP is isotonic and has a pH of 6.0 to 8.5."

"IndicationAndUsage": "The use of metoclopramide tablets is recommended for adults only. Therapy should not exceed 12 weeks in duration. Symptomatic Gastroesophageal Reflux: Metoclopramide tablets are indicated as short-term (4 to 12 weeks) therapy for adults with symptomatic, documented gastroesophageal reflux who fail to respond to conventional therapy. The principal effect of metoclopramide is on symptoms of postprandial and daytime heartburn with less observed effect on nocturnal symptoms. If symptoms are confined to particular situations, such as following the evening meal, use of metoclopramide as single doses prior to the provocative situation should be considered, rather than using the drug throughout the day. Healing of esophageal ulcers and erosions has been endoscopically demonstrated at the end of a 12-week trial using doses of 15 mg q.i.d. As there is no documented correlation between symptoms and healing of esophageal lesions, patients with documented lesions should be monitored endoscopically. Diabetic Gastroparesis (Diabetic Gastric Stasis): Metoclopramide tablets are indicated for the relief of symptoms associated with acute and recurrent diabetic gastric stasis. The usual manifestations of delayed gastric emptying (e.g., nausea, vomiting, heartburn, persistent fullness after meals, and anorexia) appear to respond to metoclopramide within different time intervals. Significant relief of nausea occurs early and continues to improve over a three-week period. Relief of vomiting and anorexia may precede the relief of abdominal fullness by one week or more.",
"Description": "Metoclopramide hydrochloride is a white, crystalline, odorless substance, freely soluble in water. Chemically, it is 4-amino-5-chloro- N-[2-(diethylamino)ethyl] - o-anisamide monohydrochloride monohydrate. Its molecular formula is C 14H 22CIN 3O 2HClH 2O. Its molecular weight is 354.27. Each tablet, for oral administration, contains metoclopramide hydrochloride, equivalent to 10 mg of metoclopramide. In addition each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, magnesium stearate, mannitol and pregelatinized starch."

<IndicationAndUsage>Propofol Injectable Emulsion is an IV general anesthetic and sedation drug that can be used as described in the table below. Propofol Injectable Emulsion is not recommended for use in nursing mothers because propofol has been reported to be excreted in human milk, and the effects of oral absorption of small amounts of propofol are not known (see PRECAUTIONS).</IndicationAndUsage>

<IndicationAndUsage>The use of metoclopramide tablets is recommended for adults only. Relief of vomiting and anorexia may precede the relief of abdominal fullness by one week or more.</IndicationAndUsage>
