"IndicationAndUsage": "Ondansetron tablets are indicated for the prevention of nausea and vomiting associated with. Ondansetron tablets are also indicated for the prevention of postoperative nausea and/or vomiting.",
"Description": "The active ingredient in ondansetron tablets is ondansetron hydrochloride as the dihydrate, the racemic form of ondansetron and a selective blocking agent of the serotonin 5-HT 3receptor type. Chemically it is (±) 1, 2, 3, 9-tetrahydro-9-methyl-3-[(2-methyl-1H-imidazol-1-yl)methyl]-4H-carbazol-4-one, monohydrochloride, dihydrate. It has the following structural formula:. The empirical formula is C 18H 19N 3OHCl2H 2O, representing a molecular weight of 365.5. Ondansetron hydrochloride dihydrate is a white to off-white powder that is soluble in water and normal saline. Each 4 mg ondansetron tablet, USP for oral administration contains ondansetron hydrochloride dihydrate equivalent to 4 mg of ondansetron. Each 8 mg ondansetron tablet, USP for oral administration contains ondansetron hydrochloride dihydrate equivalent to 8 mg of ondansetron. Each tablet also contains the inactive ingredients croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, titanium dioxide, triacetin, and iron oxide yellow (8 mg tablet only). This product meets USP Dissolution Test 3."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Rasagiline tablets are indicated for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease (PD).",
"Description": "Rasagiline tablets contain rasagiline (as the mesylate), a propargylamine-based drug indicated for the treatment of idiopathic Parkinson’s disease. Rasagiline mesylate is designated chemically as: 1H-Inden-1-amine, 2, 3-dihydro-N-2-propynyl-, (1R)-, methanesulfonate. The empirical formula of rasagiline mesylate is C 12H 13NCH 4SO 3and its molecular weight is 267.34. Its structural formula is. Rasagiline mesylate is a white crystalline powder, freely soluble in methanol and soluble in water. Each rasagiline tablet for oral administration contains 0.5 mg or 1 mg of rasagiline (equivalent to 0.78 mg or 1.56 mg of rasagiline mesylate). Each rasagiline tablet also contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, stearic acid, and talc."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Bicalutamide tablets 50 mg daily is indicatedfor use in combination therapy with a luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) analog for the treatment of Stage D 2metastatic carcinoma of the prostate. Bicalutamide tablets 150 mg daily is not approvedfor use alone or with other treatments [see Clinical Studies (14.2)].",
"Description": "Bicalutamide Tablets USP contain 50 mg of bicalutamide USP, a non-steroidal androgen receptor inhibitor with no other known endocrine activity. The chemical name is propanamide, N [4 cyano-3-(trifluoromethyl)phenyl]-3-[(4-fluorophenyl)sulfonyl]-2-hydroxy-2-methyl-,(+-). The structural and empirical formulas are. Bicalutamide has a molecular weight of 430.37. The pKa is approximately 12. Bicalutamide is a fine white to off-white powder which is practically insoluble in water at 37°C (5 mg per 1000 mL), slightly soluble in chloroform and absolute ethanol, sparingly soluble in methanol, and soluble in acetone and tetrahydrofuran. Bicalutamide is a racemate with its antiandrogenic activity being almost exclusively exhibited by the R-enantiomer of bicalutamide; the S-enantiomer is essentially inactive. The inactive ingredients of Bicalutamide Tablets USP are lactose, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, polyvidone, sodium starch glycollate, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Clopidogrel tablets are a P2Y 12platelet inhibitor indicated for: : 1 Acute coronary syndrome.",
"Description": "Clopidogrel tablets, USP is a thienopyridine class inhibitor of P2Y 12 ADP platelet receptors. Chemically it is methyl (+)-( S)-α-(2-chlorophenyl)-6,7-dihydrothieno[3,2-c]pyridine-5(4 H)-acetate sulfate (1:1). The molecular formula of clopidogrel bisulfate is C 16H 16ClNO 2SH 2SO 4and its molecular weight is 419.9. The structural formula is as follows. Clopidogrel bisulfate, USP is a white to off-white powder. It is practically insoluble in water at neutral pH but freely soluble at pH 1. It also dissolves freely in methanol, dissolves sparingly in methylene chloride, and is practically insoluble in ethyl ether. It has a specific optical rotation of about +56°. Clopidogrel tablets, USP 75 mg for oral administration are provided as pink, round, biconvex, film coated tablets, engraved “APO” on one side, “CL” over “75” on the other side. The tablets contain 97.875 mg of clopidogrel bisulfate, which is the molar equivalent of 75 mg of clopidogrel base. Clopidogrel tablets, USP 300 mg for oral administration are provided as pink, oblong, biconvex, film coated tablets engraved \"APO\" on one side and \"CL 300\" on the other side. The tablets contain 392 mg of clopidogrel bisulfate, which is the molar equivalent of 300 mg of clopidogrel base. Each tablet contains anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, methylcellulose and zinc stearate as inactive ingredients. The pink film coating contains ferric oxide red, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, polyethylene glycol and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Gabapentin is indicated for: 1 Management of postherpetic neuralgia in adults, 2 Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures, with and without secondary generalization, in adults and pediatric patients 3 years and older with epilepsy.",
"Description": "The active ingredient in gabapentin capsules and tablets, USP is gabapentin, which has the chemical name 1-(aminomethyl)cyclohexaneacetic acid. The molecular formula of gabapentin is C 9H 17NO 2and the molecular weight is 171.24. The structural formula of gabapentin is:. Gabapentin, USP is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a pK a1of 4.72±0.10 and a pK a2of 10.27±0.29. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient is -1.083±0.235 at 25°C temperature. Each gabapentin capsule contains 100 mg, 300 mg or 400 mg of gabapentin, USP and the following inactive ingredients: pregelatinized starch (maize), and talc. The 100 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS) and titanium dioxide. The 300 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, titanium dioxide, FD&C Red 40, D&C Yellow 10, and sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS). The 400 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, titanium dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS), D&C Yellow 10, and FD&C Red 40. The imprinting ink contains shellac, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, strong ammonia solution, black iron oxide, and potassium hydroxide.
