"IndicationAndUsage": "Albuterol Sulfate Syrup is indicated for the relief of bronchospasm in adults and children 2 years of age and older with reversible obstructive airway disease.",
"Description": "Albuterol Sulfate Syrup contains albuterol sulfate, USP, the racemic form of albuterol and a relatively selective beta -adrenergic bronchodilator. Albuterol sulfate has the chemical name (±)α -[( -butylamino) methyl]-4-hydroxy- -xylene-a,a'-diol sulfate (2:1) (salt), and the following chemical structure: 21tertm. Albuterol sulfate has a molecular weight of 576.70 and the molecular formula (C H NO ) o H SO . Albuterol sulfate is a white or practically white powder freely soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol, in chloroform, and in ether per USP definition. 13213224. The World Health Organization recommended name for albuterol base is salbutamol. Each 5 mL (teaspoonful), for oral administration contains 2.4 mg of albuterol sulfate equivalent to 2 mg of albuterol. Albuterol Sulfate Syrup also contains the inactive ingredients citric acid anhydrous, FD & C Yellow No. 6, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, orange flavor, purified water, saccharin, sodium benzoate, and sodium citrate. The pH of the syrup is 3.5 to 4.5."

Indicated for the relief of local symptoms, such as inflammation, hypermotility, and pain, which accompany lower urinary tract infections. "Description": "Uribel capsules for oral administration. HYOSCYAMINE SULFATE. [620-61-1] [3(S)- endo]-α-(Hydroxymethyl)-benzeneacetic acid 8-methyl-8-azabicyclo[3.2.1]oct-3-yl ester sulfate(2:1)(salt); 1αH,5αH-tropan-3α-ol(-)-tropate (ester) sulfate(2:1)(salt); 3α-tropanyl S-(-)-tropate; I-tropic acid ester with tropine; I-tropine tropate. C 34H 48N 2O 10S. Hyoscyamine Sulfate is an alkaloid of belladonna. Exists as a white crystalline powder. Its solutions are alkaline to litmus. Affected by light, it is slightly soluble in water; freely soluble in alcohol; sparingly soluble in ether. METHENAMINE. [100-97-0] 1,3,5,7-Tetraazatricyclo [3.3.1.-1 3,7] decane; hexamethylenetetramine; HMT; HMTA; hexamine; 1,3,5,7-tetraazaadamantane hexamethylenemine; Uritone; Urotropin. It is soluble in water and in chloroform; sparingly soluble in alcohol. PHENYL SALICYLATE. [118-55-8] 2-Hydroxybenzoic acid phenyl ester; Salol. C 13H 10O 3; mol wt 214.22, C 72.89%, H 4.71%, O 22.41%. Made by the action of phosphorus oxy-chloride on a mixture of phenol and salicylic acid. Phenyl Salicylate exists as white crystals with a melting point of 41°-43° C. It is very slightly soluble in water and freely soluble in alcohol. SODIUM PHOSPHATE MONOBASIC. [7558-80-7] Phosphoric acid sodium salt (1:1); Sodium biphosphate; sodium dihydrogen phosphate; acid sodium phosphate; monosodium orthophosphate; primary sodium phosphate; H 2NaO 4P; mol wt 119.98, H 1.68%, Na 19.16%, O 53.34%, P 25.82%. Monohydrate, white, odorless slightly deliquesce crystals or granules. At 100° C loses all its water; when ignited it converts to metaphosphate. It is freely soluble in water and practically insoluble in alcohol. The aqueous solution is acid. pH of 0.1 molar aqueous solution at 25° C: 4.5. "IndicationAndUsage": "Propafenone hydrochloride extended-release capsules are indicated to prolong the time to recurrence of symptomatic atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients with episodic (most likely paroxysmal or persistent) AF who do not have structural heart disease.",
"Description": "Propafenone hydrochloride, USP is an antiarrhythmic drug supplied in extended-release capsules of 225 mg, 325 mg and 425 mg for oral administration. Chemically, propafenone hydrochloride is 2'-[2-hydroxy-3-(propylamino)-propoxy]-3-phenylpropiophenone hydrochloride, with a molecular weight of 377.92. The molecular formula is C 21H 27NO 3∙HCl. Propafenone hydrochloride has some structural similarities to beta-blocking agents. The structural formula of propafenone hydrochloride is given below. Propafenone hydrochloride occurs as colorless crystals or white crystalline powder with a very bitter taste. It is slightly soluble in water (20°C), chloroform and ethanol. Propafenone hydrochloride extended-release capsules, USP are filled with cylindrical-shaped 2 × 2 mm microtablets containing propafenone and the following inactive ingredients: gelatin, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, and titanium dioxide. Black ink ingredients: D&C Yellow #10, FD&C Blue #2, FD&C Blue #1 and FD&C Red #40. Meets USP Dissolution Test 5."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Bisoprolol fumarate and hydrochlorothiazide tablets are indicated in the management of hypertension.",
"Description": "Bisoprolol fumarate and hydrochlorothiazide tablets, USP are indicated for the treatment of hypertension. It combines two antihypertensive agents in a once-daily dosage: a synthetic beta 1-selective (cardioselective) adrenoceptor blocking agent (bisoprolol fumarate) and a benzothiadiazine diuretic (hydrochlorothiazide). Bisoprolol fumarate is chemically described as (±)-1-[4-[[2-(1-methylethoxy)ethoxy]methyl] phenoxy]-3-[(1-methylethyl)amino]-2-propanol( E)-2-butenedioate (2:1) (salt). It possesses an asymmetric carbon atom in its structure and is provided as a racemic mixture. The S(-) enantiomer is responsible for most of the beta-blocking activity. Its empirical formula is (C 18H 31NO 4) 2C 4H 4O 4and it has a molecular weight of 766.97. Its structural formula is:. Bisoprolol fumarate is a white crystalline powder, approximately equally hydrophilic and lipophilic, and readily soluble in water, methanol, ethanol, and chloroform. Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ) is 6-Chloro-3,4-dihydro-2 H-1,2,4-benzothiadiazine-7-sulfonamide 1,1- dioxide. It is a white, or practically white, practically odorless crystalline powder. It is slightly soluble in water, sparingly soluble in dilute sodium hydroxide solution, freely soluble in n-butylamine and dimethylformamide, sparingly soluble in methanol, and insoluble in ether, chloroform, and dilute mineral acids. Its empirical formula is C 7H 8ClN 3O 4S 2and it has a molecular weight of 297.73. Its structural formula is:. "IndicationAndUsage": "Nitrofurantoin oral suspension is indicated in adults and pediatric patients 1 month of age and older for the treatment of urinary tract infections due to susceptible strains of Escherichia coli, Enterococcus species, Staphylococcus aureus, Klebsiella species and Enterobacter species.Limitations of UseNitrofurantoin oral suspension is not indicated for the treatment of pyelonephritis or perinephric abscesses [see Warnings and Precautions (5.7)].UsageTo reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of nitrofurantoin oral suspension and other antibacterial drugs, nitrofurantoin oral suspension should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria. When culture and susceptibility information are available, they should be considered in selecting or modifying antibacterial therapy. In the absence of such data, local epidemiology and susceptibility patterns may contribute to the empiric selection of therapy.",
"Description": "Nitrofurantoin oral suspension contains nitrofurantoin, a synthetic nitrofuran antibacterial agent specific for urinary tract infections. The chemical name is 1-[[(5-nitro-2-furanyl)methylene]amino]-2,4-imidazolidinedione monohydrate. The molecular formula is C8H6N4O5ꞏH2O and the molecular weight is 256.17. The structural formula is. Nitrofurantoin is a stable, yellow, crystalline compound.Nitrofurantoin oral suspension is available as an opaque, yellow liquid suspension for oral administration containing 25 mg/5 mL and 50 mg/5 mL of nitrofurantoin. Nitrofurantoin oral suspension also contains the following inactive ingredients: carboxymethylcellulose sodium, citric acid, flavors, glycerin, magnesium aluminum silicate, methylparaben, propylparaben, purified water, sodium citrate, and sorbitol."

"IndicationAndUsage": "KADIAN® Capsules are an extended-release oral formulation of morphine sulfate indicated for the management of moderate to severe pain when a continuous, around-the-clock opioid analgesic is needed for an extended period of time (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY). KADIAN® Capsules are NOT intended for use as a prn analgesic. KADIAN® is not indicated for pain in the immediate postoperative period (the first 12-24 hours following surgery), or if the pain is mild or not expected to persist for an extended period of time. KADIAN® is only indicated for postoperative use if the patient is already receiving the drug prior to surgery or if the postoperative pain is expected to be moderate to severe and persist for an extended period of time. Physicians should individualize treatment, moving from parenteral to oral analgesics as appropriate. (See American Pain Society guidelines.).",

The octanol: water partition coefficient of morphine is 1.42 at physiologic pH and the pKb is 7.9 for the tertiary nitrogen (mostly ionized at pH 7.4). Each KADIAN® extended-release capsule contains either 10 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg, 50 mg, 60 mg, 80 mg, 100 mg, or 200 mg of Morphine Sulfate USP and the following inactive ingredients common to all strengths: hypromellose, ethylcellulose, methacrylic acid copolymer, polyethylene glycol, diethyl phthalate, talc, corn starch, and sucrose. After oral ingestion, simvastatin, which is an inactive lactone, is hydrolyzed to the corresponding β-hydroxyacid form. This is an inhibitor of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase. This enzyme catalyzes the conversion of HMG-CoA to mevalonate, which is an early and rate-limiting step in the biosynthesis of cholesterol. Simvastatin is butanoic acid, 2,2-dimethyl-,1,2,3,7,8,8a-hexahydro-3,7-dimethyl-8-[2-(tetrahydro-4-hydroxy-6-oxo-2. H. -pyran-2-yl)-ethyl]-1-naphthalenyl ester, [1. S. -[1α,3α,7β,8β(2. S*. ,4. S*. ),-8aβ]]. The empirical formula of simvastatin is C. 25. H. 38. O. 5. and its molecular weight is 418.57. Its structural formula is. Simvastatin is a white to off-white, nonhygroscopic, crystalline powder that is practically insoluble in water, and freely soluble in chloroform, methanol and ethanol.
