"IndicationAndUsage": "Lamotrigine tablets, USP is indicated for:. Epilepsy—adjunctive therapy in patients aged 2 years and older: 1 partial-onset seizures. , 2 primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures. , 3 generalized seizures of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. ( 1.1) .",
"Description": "Lamotrigine, an AED of the phenyltriazine class, is chemically unrelated to existing AEDs. Lamotrigine's chemical name is 3, 5-diamino-6-(2, 3-dichlorophenyl)- as-triazine, its molecular formula is C 9H 7N 5Cl 2, and its molecular weight is 256.09. Lamotrigine is a white to pale cream-colored powder and has a pK a of 5.7. Lamotrigine is very slightly soluble in water (0.17 mg/mL at 25°C) and slightly soluble in 0.1 M HCl (4.1 mg/mL at 25°C). The structural formula is:. Lamotrigine Tablets, USP are supplied for oral administration as 25 mg (light pink), 100 mg (light pink), 150 mg (light pink), and 200 mg (light pink) tablets. Each tablet contains the labeled amount of lamotrigine and the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone, sodium starch glycolate, black iron oxide, iron oxide red and yellow iron oxide. Meets USP Dissolution Test 3."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Pacerone is indicated for the treatment of documented, life-threatening recurrent ventricular fibrillation and life-threatening recurrent hemodynamically unstable tachycardia in adults who have not responded to adequate doses of other available antiarrhythmics or when alternative agents cannot be tolerated.",
"Description": "Pacerone (amiodarone hydrochloride tablets, USP) are an antiarrhythmic drug, available for oral administration as 100 mg; peach tablets, 200 mg; pink tablets and 400 mg; white tablets containing amiodarone hydrochloride, USP. All three strengths of Pacerone tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone, pregelatinized corn starch, sodium starch glycolate and stearic acid. The 200 mg tablets also contain FD&C Red No. 40 and FD&C Yellow No. 6. The 100 mg tablets also contain FD&C Yellow No. 6. Amiodarone hydrochloride, USP is a benzofuran derivative: 2-butyl-3-benzofuranyl 4-[2-(diethylamino)-ethoxy]-3,5-diiodophenyl ketone hydrochloride. The structural formula is as follows. C25H29I2NO3 ∙ HCl Molecular Weight: 681.8. C25H29I2NO3 ∙ HCl Molecular Weight: 681.8. Amiodarone hydrochloride, USP is a white to cream-colored crystalline powder. It is slightly soluble in water, soluble in alcohol, and freely soluble in chloroform. It contains 37.3% iodine by weight. Meets USP Dissolution Test 4."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Triamcinolone Acetonide Dental Paste USP, 0.1% is indicated for adjunctive treatment and for the temporary relief of symptoms associated with oral inflammatory lesions and ulcerative lesions resulting from trauma.",
"Description": "Triamcinolone Acetonide Dental Paste USP, 0.1%, contains the corticosteroid triamcinolone acetonide in an adhesive vehicle suitable for application to oral tissues. Triamcinolone acetonide is designated chemically as 9-fluoro-11β, 16α, 17, 21-tetrahydroxypregna-1, 4-diene-3, 20-dione cyclic 16, 17-acetal with acetone. The structural formula of triamcinolone acetonide is as follows. C 24H 31FO 6 MW 434.50. Each gram of triamcinolone acetonide dental paste contains 1 mg triamcinolone acetonide in an emollient dental paste containing carboxymethylcellulose sodium, gelatin, and pectin in a plasticized hydrocarbon gel (a polyethylene and mineral oil gel base)."

"Description": "The topical corticosteroids constitute a class of primarily synthetic steroids used as anti-inflammatory and antipruritic agents. The steroids in this class include triamcinolone acetonide. Triamcinolone acetonide is designated chemically as 9-Fluoro-11β, 16α, 17,21-tetrahydroxypregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione cyclic 16,17-acetal with acetone. Each gram of 0.1% triamcinolone acetonide cream provides 1 mg triamcinolone acetonide, respectively, in a vanishing cream base containing cetyl alcohol, cetyl esters wax, glyceryl monostearate, isopropyl palmitate, polysorbate-60, polysorbate-80, propylene glycol and purified water."

"Description": "Econazole nitrate cream contains the antifungal agent, econazole nitrate USP 1%, in a water-miscible base consisting of benzoic acid, butylated hydroxytoluene, mineral oil, oleoyl polyoxylglycerides PEG-6-32 stearate/glycol stearate and purified water. The white to off-white soft cream is for topical use only. Chemically, econazole nitrate is 1-[2-{(4-chloro-phenyl) methoxy}-2-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)ethyl]-1H-imidazole mononitrate. "Description": "Ciclopirox Olamine Cream USP, 1.0% is for topical use. Each gram of ciclopirox olamine cream USP contains 10 mg of ciclopirox olamine equivalent to 7.70 mg of ciclopirox in a water miscible vanishing cream base consisting of benzyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, cocamide DEA, lactic acid, mineral oil, myristyl alcohol, octyldodecanol, polysorbate 60, purified water, sorbitan monostearate, and stearyl alcohol. Ciclopirox olamine cream contains a synthetic, broad-spectrum, antifungal agent ciclopirox (as ciclopirox olamine). The chemical name is 6-cyclohexyl-1-hydroxy-4-methyl-2(1 H)-pyridone, 2-aminoethanol salt. The CAS Registry Number is 41621-49-2. The chemical structure is."

"Description": "Oralone ®(Triamcinolone Acetonide Dental Paste USP, 0.1%), contains the corticosteroid triamcinolone acetonide in an adhesive vehicle suitable for application to oral tissues. Triamcinolone acetonide is designated chemically as 9-fluoro-11β, 16α, 17, 21-tetrahydroxypregna-1, 4-diene-3, 20-dione cyclic 16, 17-acetal with acetone. The structural formula of triamcinolone acetonide is as follows:. Each gram of Oralone ®contains 1 mg triamcinolone acetonide in an emollient dental paste containing gelatin, pectin, and carboxymethylcellulose sodium in a plasticized hydrocarbon gel (a polyethylene and mineral oil gel base)."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Clobetasol propionate shampoo, 0.05% is a corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe scalp psoriasis in subjects 18 years of age and older ( 1). Limitations of Use: 1 Do not use on the face, axillae or groin. ( 1.2) , 2 Avoid any contact with the eyes and lips. ( 1.2) .",
"Description": "Clobetasol Propionate Shampoo, 0.05%, contains clobetasol propionate, a synthetic fluorinated corticosteroid, for topical use. The corticosteroids constitute a class of primarily synthetic steroids used topically as anti-inflammatory and antipruritic agents. The chemical name of clobetasol propionate is 21-chloro-9-fluoro-11β,17-dihydroxy-16β-methylpregna-1, 4-diene-3, 20-dione 17-propionate. It has the following structural formula. Clobetasol propionate has a molecular weight of 466.97 (CAS Registry Number 25122-46-7). The molecular formula is C 25H 32CIFO 5. Clobetasol propionate is a white to practically white crystalline, odorless powder insoluble in water. Each gram of Clobetasol Propionate Shampoo, 0.05%, contains 0.5 mg of clobetasol propionate in a translucent, colorless to pale yellow viscous liquid shampoo base consisting of alcohol (95% v/v), citric acid monohydrate, coco-betaine, polyquaternium-10, purified water, sodium citrate dihydrate, and sodium laureth-2 sulfate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Escitalopram oral solution is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) indicated for: 1 Acute and Maintenance Treatment of Major Depressive Disorder (MDD) in adults and adolescents aged 12 to 17 years ( 1.1) , 2 Acute Treatment of Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) in adults ( 1.2) .",
"Description": "Escitalopram oxalate is an orally administered selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). Escitalopram is the pure S-enantiomer (single isomer) of the racemic bicyclic phthalane derivative citalopram. Escitalopram oxalate is designated S-(+)-1-[3-(dimethyl-amino)propyl]-1-(p-fluorophenyl)-5-phthalancarbonitrile oxalate with the following structural formula. The molecular formula is C 20H 21FN 2O ∙ C 2H 2O 4and the molecular weight is 414.40. Escitalopram oxalate occurs as a fine, white to slightly-yellow powder and is freely soluble in methanol and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), soluble in isotonic saline solution, sparingly soluble in water and ethanol, slightly soluble in ethyl acetate, and insoluble in heptane. Escitalopram oxalate is available as an oral solution. Escitalopram oral solution USP contains escitalopram oxalate equivalent to 1 mg/mL escitalopram base. It also contains the following inactive ingredients: citric acid, glycerin, malic acid, methylparaben, natural peppermint flavor, propylene glycol, propylparaben, purified water, sodium citrate, and sorbitol."

"Description": "Ciclopirox Shampoo 1% contains the synthetic antifungal agent, ciclopirox for topical use. Each gram (equivalent to 0.96 mL) of Ciclopirox Shampoo 1% contains 10 mg ciclopirox in a shampoo base consisting of disodium laureth sulfosuccinate, laureth-2, purified water USP, sodium chloride USP, and sodium laureth sulfate. Ciclopirox Shampoo is a colorless, translucent solution. "IndicationAndUsage": "Fluocinolone acetonide topical oil is a corticosteroid indicated for the: 1 topical treatment of atopic dermatitis in adult patients ( 1.1) , 2 topical treatment of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis in pediatric patients 3 months and older for up to 4 weeks ( 1.2) .",
"Description": "Fluocinolone acetonide topical oil, 0.01% (Body Oil) contains fluocinolone acetonide [(6α, 11β,16α)-6,9-difluoro-11,21-dihydroxy-16,17 [(1-methylethylidene)bis(oxy)]-pregna-1,4 diene-3,20- dione, cyclic 16,17 acetal with acetone], a synthetic corticosteroid for topical dermatologic use. This formulation is also marketed as Fluocinolone acetonide topical oil, 0.01% (Scalp Oil) for use with shower caps for treatment of scalp psoriasis in adults. Chemically, fluocinolone acetonide is C 24H 30F 2O 6. It has the following structural formula:. Fluocinolone acetonide in fluocinolone acetonide topical oil has a molecular weight of 452.50. It is a white crystalline powder that is odorless, stable in light, and melts at 270°C with decomposition; soluble in alcohol, acetone and methanol; slightly soluble in chloroform; insoluble in water. Each gram of fluocinolone acetonide topical oil contains approximately 0.11 mg of fluocinolone acetonide in a blend of oils, which contains isopropyl alcohol, isopropyl myristate, light mineral oil, oleth-2, and refined peanut oil. Fluocinolone acetonide topical oil is formulated with 48% refined peanut oil NF. Physicians should use caution in prescribing Fluocinolone Acetonide 0.01% Topical Oil for peanut-sensitive individuals."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Fluocinolone acetonide scalp oil is indicated for the treatment of psoriasis of the scalp in adults.",
"Description": "Fluocinolone acetonide Scalp Oil, 0.01% contains fluocinolone acetonide [(6α, 11β, 16α)-6,9-difluoro-11,21-dihydroxy-16,17[(1-methylethylidene)bis(oxy)]-pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione, cyclic 16,17 acetal with acetone], a synthetic corticosteroid for topical dermatologic use. This formulation is also marketed as Fluocinolone Acetonide, 0.01% for use as body oil for atopic dermatitis in adults and for moderate to severe atopic dermatitis in pediatric patients 2 years and older and as fluocinolone acetonide oil, 0.01% for chronic eczematous external otitis. "IndicationAndUsage": "Oxiconazole nitrate cream is indicated for the topical treatment of the following dermal infections: tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis due to Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, or Epidermophyton floccosum. Oxiconazole nitrate cream is indicated for the topical treatment of tinea (pityriasis) versicolor due to Malassezia furfur(see DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATIONand CLINICAL STUDIES). Oxiconazole nitrate cream may be used in pediatric patients for tinea corporis, tinea cruris, tinea pedis, and tinea (pityriasis) versicolor; however, these indications for which oxiconazole nitrate cream has been shown to be effective rarely occur in children below the age of 12.",
"Description": "Oxiconazole nitrate cream, 1% contains the antifungal active compound oxiconazole nitrate. This formulation is for topical dermatologic use only. Chemically, oxiconazole nitrate is 2',4'-dichloro-2-imidazol-1-ylacetophenone (Z)-[ 0-(2,4-dichlorobenzyl)oxime], mononitrate. The compound has the molecular formula C 18H 13ON 3CI 4HNO 3, a molecular weight of 492.15, and the following structural formula:. Oxiconazole nitrate is a nearly white crystalline powder, soluble in methanol; sparingly soluble in ethanol, chloroform, and acetone; and very slightly soluble in water. Oxiconazole nitrate cream, 1% contains 10 mg of oxiconazole per gram of cream in a white to off-white cream base of cetyl alcohol, polysorbate 60, propylene glycol, purified water, stearyl alcohol, white petrolatum, and benzoic acid 0.2% as a preservative."

"Description": "The active ingredient in ibuprofen oral suspension USP is ibuprofen, which is a member of the propionic acid group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Ibuprofen is a racemic mixture of [+]S- and [-]R-enantiomers. It is a white to off-white crystalline powder, with a melting point of 74° to 77°C. It is practically insoluble in water (< 0.1 mg/mL), but readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone. Ibuprofen, USP has a pKa of 4.43 ± 0.03 and an n-octanol/water partition coefficient of 11.7 at pH 7.4. The chemical name for ibuprofen is (±)-2-( p-Isobutylphenyl) propionic acid.
