"IndicationAndUsage": "Labetalol hydrochloride tablets are indicated in the management of hypertension. Labetalol hydrochloride tablets may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents, especially thiazide and loop diuretics.",
"Description": "Labetalol hydrochloride (HCl) is an adrenergic receptor blocking agent that has both selective alpha1- and nonselective beta-adrenergic receptor blocking actions in a single substance. Labetalol HCl is a racemate chemically designated as 5-[1-hydroxy-2-[(1-methyl-3-phenylpropyl) amino] ethyl] salicylamide monohydrochloride, and has the following structural formula. Labetalol HCl has the molecular formula C19H24N2O3HCl and a molecular weight of 364.87. It has two asymmetric centers and therefore exists as a molecular complex of two diastereoisomeric pairs. Dilevalol, the R,R’ stereoisomer, makes up 25% of racemic labetalol. Labetalol HCl is a white or off-white crystalline powder, soluble in water. Labetalol Hydrochloride Tablets USP for oral administration contain 100 mg, 200 mg, or 300 mg labetalol HCl. Each tablet also contains the following inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, pregelatinized starch, purified water, and titanium dioxide. Labetalol HCl Tablets 100 mg also contain synthetic red iron oxide and synthetic yellow iron oxide. Labetalol HCl Tablets 300 mg also contain FD & C blue No. 2 aluminum lake."

"IndicationAndUsage": "BECAUSE OF REPORTS OF INTESTINAL AND GASTRIC ULCERATION AND BLEEDING WITH EXTENDED-RELEASE POTASSIUM CHLORIDE PREPARATIONS, THESE DRUGS SHOULD BE RESERVED FOR THOSE PATIENTS WHO CANNOT TOLERATE OR REFUSE TO TAKE LIQUID OR EFFERVESCENT POTASSIUM PREPARATIONS OR FOR PATIENTS IN WHOM THERE IS A PROBLEM OF COMPLIANCE WITH THESE PREPARATIONS. : 1 For the treatment of patients with hypokalemia with or without metabolic alkalosis, in digitalis intoxication and in patients with hypokalemic familial periodic paralysis. If hypokalemia is the result of diuretic therapy, consideration should be given to the use of a lower dose of diuretic, which may be sufficient without leading to hypokalemia., 2 For the prevention of hypokalemia in patients who would be at particular risk if hypokalemia were to develop, e.g., digitalized patients or patients with significant cardiac arrhythmias.",
"Description": "Klor-Con® M20 is an immediately dispersing extended-release oral dosage form of potassium chloride containing 1500 mg of microencapsulated potassium chloride, USP equivalent to 20 mEq of potassium in a tablet. Klor-Con® M15 is an immediately dispersing extended-release oral dosage form of potassium chloride containing 1125 mg of microencapsulated potassium chloride, USP equivalent to 15 mEq of potassium in a tablet. Klor-Con® M10 is an immediately dispersing extended-release oral dosage form of potassium chloride containing 750 mg of microencapsulated potassium chloride, USP equivalent to 10 mEq of potassium in a tablet. These formulations are intended to slow the release of potassium so that the likelihood of a high localized concentration of potassium chloride within the gastrointestinal tract is reduced. Klor-Con® M is an electrolyte replenisher. The chemical name of the active ingredient is potassium chloride, and the structural formula is KCl. Potassium chloride, USP occurs as a white, granular powder or as colorless crystals. It is odorless and has a saline taste. Its solutions are neutral to litmus. It is freely soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol. Klor-Con® M is a tablet formulation (not enteric coated or wax matrix) containing individually microencapsulated potassium chloride crystals which disperse upon tablet disintegration. In simulated gastric fluid at 37°C and in the absence of outside agitation, Klor-Con® M begins disintegrating into microencapsulated crystals within seconds and completely disintegrates within one minute. The microencapsulated crystals are formulated to provide an extended release of potassium chloride. Inactive Ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, ethylcellulose and microcrystalline cellulose."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Carefully consider the potential benefits and risks of TOLECTIN tablets, USP and other treatment options before deciding to use TOLECTIN tablets. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with individual patient treatment goals (see WARNINGS). TOLECTIN tablets are indicated for the relief of signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. TOLECTIN tablets are indicated in the treatment of acute flares and the long-term management of the chronic disease. TOLECTIN tablets are also indicated for treatment of juvenile rheumatoid arthritis. The safety and effectiveness of TOLECTIN tablets have not been established in pediatric patients under 2 years of age (see PRECAUTIONS: Pediatric Useand DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION).",
"Description": "Each tablet for oral administration contains 738 mg of tolmetin sodium, USP as the dihydrate in an amount equivalent to 600 mg of tolmetin. Each tablet contains 54 mg (2.35 mEq) of sodium and the following inactive ingredients: black iron oxide, crospovidone, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polydextrose, polyethylene glycol, povidone, pregelatinized starch (maize), sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, triacetin and yellow iron oxide. The pKa of tolmetin is 3.5 and tolmetin sodium is freely soluble in water, soluble in methanol and slightly soluble in alcohol. Tolmetin sodium is a nonselective nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent. The structural formula is. (C 15H 14NNaO 3 2H 2O) M.W. 315.30 Sodium 1-methyl-5 p-toluoylpyrrole-2-acetate dihydrate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "1. Endocrine Disorders. Primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency (hydrocortisone or cortisone is the first choice; synthetic analogs may be used in conjunction with mineralocorticoids where applicable; in infancy mineralocorticoid supplementation is of particular importance). Congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Nonsuppurative thyroiditis. Hypercalcemia associated with cancer. 2. Rheumatic Disorders. As adjunctive therapy for short-term administration (to tide the patient over an acute episode or exacerbation) in. Psoriatic arthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis, including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (selected cases may require low-dose maintenance therapy). Ankylosing spondylitis. Acute and subacute bursitis. Acute non-specific tenosynovitis. Acute gouty arthritis. Post-traumatic osteoarthritis. Synovitis of osteoarthritis. Epicondylitis. 3. Collagen Diseases. "Description": "Prednisone, USP is a glucocorticoid. Glucocorticoids are adrenocortical steroids, both naturally occurring and synthetic, that are readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The chemical formula for prednisone is C 21H 26O 5. Chemically, it is 17,21-dihydroxypregna-1,4-diene- 3,11,20-trione and has the following structure:. Prednisone, USP is a white or practically white, crystalline powder and has a molecular weight of 358.4 g/mol. It melts at about 234°C. Prednisone, USP is very slightly soluble in water; slightly soluble in alcohol, chloroform, dioxane, and methanol. Prednisone tablets, USP contain 1 mg or 5 mg of prednisone, USP. The inactive ingredients for prednisone tablets, USP include: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate type A and stearic acid. Meets USP Dissolution Test 2."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Paroxetine tablets, USP are indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder. The efficacy of paroxetine tablets, USP in the treatment of a major depressive episode was established in 6-week controlled trials of outpatients whose diagnoses corresponded most closely to the DSM-III category of major depressive disorder (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY —Clinical Trials). A major depressive episode implies a prominent and relatively persistent depressed or dysphoric mood that usually interferes with daily functioning (nearly every day for at least 2 weeks); it should include at least 4 of the following 8 symptoms: Change in appetite, change in sleep, psychomotor agitation or retardation, loss of interest in usual activities or decrease in sexual drive, increased fatigue, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, slowed thinking or impaired concentration, and a suicide attempt or suicidal ideation. The effects of paroxetine tablets, USP in hospitalized depressed patients have not been adequately studied. The efficacy of paroxetine tablets, USP in maintaining a response in major depressive disorder for up to 1 year was demonstrated in a placebo-controlled trial (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY —Clinical Trials). Nevertheless, the physician who elects to use paroxetine tablets, USP for extended periods should periodically re-evaluate the long-term usefulness of the drug for the individual patient.",
"Description": "Paroxetine tablets, USP are an orally administered psychotropic drug. It is the hydrochloride salt of a phenylpiperidine compound identified chemically as (-)-trans-4R-(4'-fluorophenyl)-3S-[(3',4'-methylenedioxyphenoxy) methyl] piperidine hydrochloride hemihydrate and has the molecular formula of C19H20FNO3HCl1/2H2O. The molecular weight is 374.8 (329.4 as free base). The structural formula of paroxetine hydrochloride hemihydrate is. Paroxetine hydrochloride, USP is an odorless, white to off-white crystalline powder, having a melting point range of 120° to 138°C. It is freely soluble in methanol, soluble in ethanol, sparingly soluble in dichloromethane and slightly soluble in water. Each paroxetine tablet, USP intended for oral administration contains paroxetine hydrochloride hemihydrate equivalent to 10 mg or 20 mg or 30 mg or 40 mg of paroxetine. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: dibasic calcium phosphate anhydrous, hypromellose 6 cP, lactose anhydrous, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol 6000, povidone, sodium starch glycolate, talc, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "MOVANTIK® is indicated for the treatment of opioid-induced constipation (OIC) in adult patients with chronic non-cancer pain, including patients with chronic pain related to prior cancer or its treatment who do not require frequent (e.g., weekly) opioid dosage escalation.",
"Description": "MOVANTIK (naloxegol), an opioid antagonist, contains naloxegol oxalate as the active ingredient. (Naloxegol is a PEGylated derivative of naloxone.). The chemical name for naloxegol oxalate is: (5α,6α)-17-allyl-6-(2,5,8,11,14,17,20-heptaoxadocosan-22-yloxy)-4,5-epoxymorphinan-3,14-diol oxalate. The structural formula is. The empirical formula for naloxegol oxalate is C34H53NO11.C2H2O4 and the molecular weight is 742. Naloxegol oxalate is a white to off-white powder, with high aqueous solubility across the physiologic pH range. MOVANTIK (naloxegol) tablets for oral use contain 14.2 mg and 28.5 mg of naloxegol oxalate, respectively, equivalent to 12.5 mg and 25 mg of naloxegol. Excipients in tablet core are: mannitol, cellulose microcrystalline, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, and propyl gallate. Excipients in tablet coat are: hypromellose, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol, iron oxide red, and iron oxide black."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Gabapentin capsules are indicated for: 1 Management of postherpetic neuralgia in adults, 2 Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures, with and without secondary generalization, in adults and pediatric patients 3 years and older with epilepsy.",
"Description": "The active ingredient in gabapentin capsules, USP is gabapentin, USP which has the chemical name 1-(aminomethyl)cyclohexaneacetic acid. The molecular formula of gabapentin, USP is C9H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 171.24. The structural formula of gabapentin, USP is. Gabapentin, USP is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a pKa1 of 3.7 and a pKa2 of 10.7. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is -1.25. Each gabapentin capsule contains 100 mg, 300 mg, or 400 mg of gabapentin, USP and the following inactive ingredients: black iron oxide, corn starch, D&C Yellow #10 aluminum lake, FD&C blue #1 aluminum lake, FD&C blue #2 aluminum lake, FD&C red #40 aluminum lake, gelatin, mannitol, pharmaceutical glaze, propylene glycol, red iron oxide T3469, silicon dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate, synthetic black iron oxide, talc, titanium dioxide, and yellow iron oxide T3506."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Lamotrigine extended-release tablets are indicated for: : 1 adjunctive therapy for primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures (PGTC) and partial-onset seizures with or without secondary generalization in patients aged 13 years and older. (1.1), 2 conversion to monotherapy in patients aged 13 years and older with partial-onset seizures who are receiving treatment with a single antiepileptic drug (AED). (1.2) .",
"Description": "Lamotrigine, USP, an AED of the phenyltriazine class, is chemically unrelated to existing AEDs. Lamotrigine's chemical name is 3,5-diamino-6-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-as-triazine, its molecular formula is C9H7N5Cl2, and its molecular weight is 256.09. Lamotrigine USP, is a white to pale cream-colored powder and has a pKa of 5.7. Lamotrigine USP, is very slightly soluble in water (0.17 mg/mL at 25°C) and slightly soluble in 0.1 M HCl (4.1 mg/mL at 25°C). The structural formula is:. Lamotrigine extended-release tablets USP, are supplied for oral administration as 25 mg (yellow), 50 mg (green), 100 mg (beige), 200 mg (blue), 250 mg (purple) and 300 mg (gray) tablets. Each tablet contains the labeled amount of lamotrigine, USP and the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, macrogol, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid copolymer dispersion, polyvinyl alcohol, talc, titanium dioxide and triethyl citrate. The 25 mg tablets also contain D&C Yellow No. 10 and FD&C Yellow No. 6. The 50 mg tablets also contain FD&C Blue No. 2 and iron oxide yellow. The 100 mg tablets also contain iron oxide red and iron oxide yellow. The 200 mg tablets also contain FD&C Blue No. 2. The 250 mg tablets also contain FD&C Blue No. 2 and FD&C Red No. 40. The 300 mg tablets also contain black iron oxide. Lamotrigine extended-release tablets, USP contain a modified-release eroding formulation as the core. The core tablets are coated with an enteric coat and have pore forming ingredient in the coat to enable a controlled release of the drug in the acidic environment of the stomach. The combinations of the modified-release core and the enteric coat are designed to control the dissolution rate of lamotrigine over a period of approximately 12 to 15 hours, leading to a gradual increase in serum lamotrigine levels. FDA approved dissolution test specifications differ from USP."

"IndicationAndUsage": "THIS IS NOT AN INNOCUOUS DRUG. IT IS NOT RECOMMENDED FOR THE TREATMENT OF ASYMPTOMATIC HYPERURICEMIA. Allopurinol reduces serum and urinary uric acid concentrations. Its use should be individualized for each patient and requires an understanding of its mode of action and pharmacokinetics (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY, CONTRAINDICATIONS, WARNINGS, and PRECAUTIONS). Allopurinol is indicated in: 1 the management of patients with signs and symptoms of primary or secondary gout (acute attacks, tophi, joint destruction, uric acid lithiasis, and/or nephropathy)., 2 the management of patients with leukemia, lymphoma and malignancies who are receiving cancer therapy which causes elevations of serum and urinary uric acid levels. Treatment with allopurinol should be discontinued when the potential for overproduction of uric acid is no longer present., 3 the management of patients with recurrent calcium oxalate calculi whose daily uric acid excretion exceeds 800 mg/day in male patients and 750 mg/day in female patients. Therapy in such patients should be carefully assessed initially and reassessed periodically to determine in each case that treatment is beneficial and that the benefits outweigh the risks.",
"Description": "Allopurinol has the following structural formula. Allopurinol is known chemically as 1,5-dihydro-4H-pyrazolo [3,4-d]pyrimidin-4-one. It is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor which is administered orally. Each scored white tablet contains 100 mg allopurinol and the inactive ingredients colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium starch glycolate. Each scored orange tablet contains 300 mg allopurinol and the inactive ingredients colloidal silicon dioxide, FD&C Yellow No. 6 Lake, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium starch glycolate. Its solubility in water at 37°C is 80 mg/dL and is greater in an alkaline solution."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Solifenacin succinate tablets are indicated for the treatment of adults with overactive bladder with symptoms of urge urinary incontinence, urgency and urinary frequency.",
"Description": "Solifenacin succinate is a muscarinic receptor antagonist. Chemically, solifenacin succinate is a butanedioic acid compound with (1S)-(3R)-1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-3-yl 3,4-dihydro-1-phenyl-2(1H)-iso-quinolinecarboxylate (1:1) having an molecular formula of C23H26N2O2C4H6O4 and a molecular weight of 480.55. The structural formula of solifenacin succinate is. Solifenacin succinate is a white to light yellow powder. It is freely soluble at room temperature in water, glacial acetic acid, dimethyl sulfoxide and methanol. Each solifenacin succinate tablet contains 5 or 10 mg of solifenacin succinate and is for oral administration. In addition to the active ingredient solifenacin succinate, each solifenacin succinate tablet also contains the following inactive ingredients: corn starch, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide and talc. Additionally 5 mg tablet contains iron oxide yellow and 10 mg tablet contains iron oxide red."

"Description": "The active ingredient in Famotidine tablets is a histamine-2 (H2) receptor antagonist. Famotidine is N’-(aminosulfonyl)-3-[[[2-[(diaminomethylene)amino]-4-thiazolyl]methyl]thio]propanimidamide. The empirical formula of famotidine is C8H15N7O2S3 and its molecular weight is 337.43. Its structural formula is. Each Famotidine tablet for oral administration contains either 20 mg or 40 mg of famotidine and the following inactive ingredients: hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, modified corn starch, polydextrose, polyethylene glycol, talc, sodium starch glycolate, titanium dioxide and triacetin. Famotidine is a white to pale yellow crystalline compound that is freely soluble in glacial acetic acid, slightly soluble in methanol, very slightly soluble in water, and practically insoluble in ethanol."

"Description": "Levocetirizine dihydrochloride, USP the active component of levocetirizine dihydrochloride tablets, USP is an orally active H1-receptor antagonist. The chemical name is (R)-[2-[4-[(4-chlorophenyl) phenylmethyl]-1-piperazinyl] ethoxy] acetic acid dihydrochloride. Levocetirizine dihydrochloride is the R enantiomer of cetirizine hydrochloride, a racemic compound with antihistaminic properties. The empirical formula of levocetirizine dihydrochloride is C21H25ClN2O3∙2HCl. The molecular weight is 461.82 and the chemical structure is shown below. Levocetirizine dihydrochloride, USP is a white, or almost white powder and is freely soluble in water, practically insoluble in acetone and methylene chloride. Levocetirizine hydrochloride tablets, USP 5 mg are formulated as immediate release, white, film-coated, oval, scored tablets for oral administration. The tablets are debossed with \"S\" on the left side of bisect and \"G\" on the right side of the bisect and other side \"1\" on the left side and \"36\" on the right side of the bisect. Inactive ingredients are: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, colloidal silicon dioxide, and magnesium stearate. The film coating contains hypromellose, titanium dioxide, and polyethylene glycol."

It is slightly soluble in water and sparingly soluble in ethanol.
