"IndicationAndUsage": "Crinone® 8% is indicated for progesterone supplementation or replacement as part of an Assisted Reproductive Technology (\"ART\") treatment for infertile women with progesterone deficiency.",
"Description": "Crinone® (progesterone gel) is a bioadhesive vaginal gel containing micronized progesterone in an emulsion system, which is contained in single use, one piece polyethylene vaginal applicators. The carrier vehicle is an oil in water emulsion containing the water swellable, but insoluble polymer, polycarbophil. The progesterone is partially soluble in both the oil and water phase of the vehicle, with the majority of the progesterone existing as a suspension. Physically, Crinone® has the appearance of a soft, white to off-white gel. The active ingredient, progesterone, is present in either a 4% or an 8% concentration (w/w). The chemical name for progesterone is pregn-4-ene-3,20-dione. It has an empirical formula of C21H30O2 and a molecular weight of 314.5. The structural formula is. Progesterone exists in two polymorphic forms. Form 1, which is the form used in Crinone®, exists as white orthorhombic prisms with a melting point of 127-131°C. Each applicator delivers 1.125 grams of Crinone® gel containing either 45 mg (4% gel) or 90 mg (8% gel) of progesterone in a base containing glycerin, mineral oil, polycarbophil, carbomer 934P, hydrogenated palm oil glyceride, sorbic acid, purified water and may contain sodium hydroxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "SANDOSTATIN LAR DEPOT 10 mg, 20 mg, and 30 mg is indicated in patients in whom initial treatment with Sandostatin Injection has been shown to be effective and tolerated.",
"Description": "Octreotide is the acetate salt of a cyclic octapeptide. It is a long-acting octapeptide with pharmacologic properties mimicking those of the natural hormone somatostatin. Octreotide is known chemically as L-Cysteinamide, D-phenylalanyl-L-cysteinyl-L-phenylalanyl-D-tryptophyl-L-lysyl-L-threonyl-N-[2-hydroxy-1-(hydroxy-methyl) propyl]-, cyclic (2→7)-disulfide; [R-(R*,R*)]. The molecular weight of octreotide is 1019.3 g/mol (free peptide, C49H66N10O10S2) and its amino acid sequence is. SANDOSTATIN LAR DEPOT is available in a single-dose vial containing the sterile drug product, which when mixed with diluent, becomes a suspension that is given as a monthly intragluteal injection. The octreotide is uniformly distributed within the microspheres which are made of a biodegradable glucose star polymer, D,L-lactic and glycolic acids copolymer. Sterile mannitol is added to the microspheres to improve suspendability. SANDOSTATIN LAR DEPOT is available as: sterile 6-mL single-dose vials in 3 strengths delivering 10 mg, 20 mg, or 30 mg octreotide-free peptide. Each single-dose vial of SANDOSTATIN LAR DEPOT delivers."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Oseltamivir phosphate is an influenza neuraminidase inhibitor (NAI) indicated for: Treatment of acute, uncomplicated influenza A and B in patients 2 weeks of age and older who have been symptomatic for no more than 48 hours. (1.1) Prophylaxis of influenza A and B in patients 1 year and older. (1.2)Limitations of Use: Not a substitute for annual influenza vaccination. (1.3) Consider available information on influenza drug susceptibility patterns and treatment effects when deciding whether to use.(1.3) Not recommended for patients with end-stage renal disease not undergoing dialysis. "Description": "Oseltamivir phosphate, an influenza neuraminidase inhibitor (NAI), is available as: Capsules containing 30 mg, 45 mg, or 75 mg of oseltamivir for oral use, in the form of oseltamivir phosphate In addition to the active ingredient, each capsule contains croscarmellose sodium, povidone, pregelatinized starch, sodium stearyl fumarate and talc. The 30 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide and red iron oxide. The 45 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, titanium dioxide and black iron oxide. The 75 mg capsule shell contains gelatin, titanium dioxide, yellow iron oxide, black iron oxide and red iron oxide. Each capsule is printed with blue ink, which includes shellac, propylene glycol, strong ammonia solution and FD&C Blue No. 2 as the colorant. The botanical source for pregelatinized starch is maize starch. Oseltamivir phosphate USP is a white to off-white powder with the chemical name [3R-(3α,4β,5α)]-Ethyl 4-(acetyl amino)-5-amino-3-(1-ethylpropoxy)-1-cyclohexene-1-carboxylate phosphate (1:1). The molecular formula is C16H28N2O4.H3PO4. The relative molecular mass is 410.40 for oseltamivir phosphate salt. The structural formula is as follows:."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Mania. Divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets are indicated for the treatment of the manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder. A manic episode is a distinct period of abnormally and persistently elevated, expansive, or irritable mood. Typical symptoms of mania include pressure of speech, motor hyperactivity, reduced need for sleep, flight of ideas, grandiosity, poor judgement, aggressiveness, and possible hostility. The efficacy of divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets was established in 3-week trials with patients meeting DSMIII-R criteria for bipolar disorder who were hospitalized for acute mania (See Clinical Trials under CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY ). The safety and effectiveness of divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets for long-term use in mania, i.e., more than 3 weeks, has not been systematically evaluated in controlled clinical trials. Therefore, physicians who elect to use divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets for extended periods should continually reevaluate the long-term usefulness of the drug for the individual patient. Epilepsy. Divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets are indicated as monotherapy and adjunctive therapy in the treatment of patients with complex partial seizures that occur either in isolation or in association with other types of seizures. Divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets are also indicated for use as sole and adjunctive therapy in the treatment of simple and complex absence seizures, and adjunctively in patients with multiple seizure types that include absence seizures. Simple absence is defined as very brief clouding of the sensorium or loss of consciousness accompanied by certain generalized epileptic discharges without other detectable clinical signs. Complex absence is the term used when other signs are also present. Migraine. Divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets are indicated for prophylaxis of migraine headaches. There is no evidence that Divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets are useful in the acute treatment of migraine headaches. Because valproic acid may be a hazard to the fetus, divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets should be considered for women of childbearing potential only after this risk has been thoroughly discussed with the patient and weighed against the potential benefits of treatment (see WARNINGS - Usage In Pregnancy, PRECAUTIONS - Information for Patients). "Description": "Divalproex sodium is a stable co-ordination compound comprised of sodium valproate and valproic acid in a 1:1 molar relationship. Chemically it is designated as sodium hydrogen bis(2- propylpentanoate). Divalproex sodium has the following structure. Divalproex sodium occurs as a white powder with a characteristic odor. Divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets are for oral administration. Divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets are supplied in three dosage strengths containing divalproex sodium equivalent to 125 mg, 250 mg, or 500 mg of valproic acid. Inactive Ingredients. Divalproex sodium delayed-release tablets: antifoam DC, colloidal silicon dioxide, D&C Red No. 30, FD&C Blue No. 2, hydroxylpropyl cellulose, hypromellose, hypromellose phthalate, iron oxides, lecithin, low substituted hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinised starch, shellac, talc, titanium dioxide, triethyl citrate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Timolol Maleate Sterile Ophthalmic Gel Forming Solution is indicated in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.",
"Description": "Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Gel Forming Solution is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent. Its chemical name is (-)-1-(tert-butylamino)-3-[(4-morpholino-1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl)oxy]-2-propanol maleate (1:1) (salt). Timolol maleate possesses an asymmetric carbon atom in its structure and is provided as the levo-isomer. The optical rotation of timolol maleate is. 25°. [α] in 1.0N HCl (C = 5%) = -12.2° (-11.7° to -12.5°). 405 nm. Its molecular formula is C13H24N4O3SC4H4O4 and its structural formula is. Timolol maleate has a molecular weight of 432.50. It is a white, odorless, crystalline powder which is soluble in water, methanol, and alcohol. Timolol Maleate Sterile Ophthalmic Gel Forming Solution is supplied as a sterile, isotonic, buffered, aqueous solution of timolol maleate in two dosage strengths. The pH of the solution is approximately 7.0, and the osmolarity is 260-330 mOsm. Each mL of Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Gel Forming Solution 0.25% contains 2.5 mg of timolol (3.4 mg of timolol maleate). Each mL of Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Gel Forming Solution 0.5% contains 5 mg of timolol (6.8 mg of timolol maleate). Inactive ingredients: gellan gum, tromethamine, mannitol, and water for injection. Preservative: benzododecinium bromide 0.012%. The gel forming solution contains a purified anionic heteropolysaccharide derived from gellan gum. An aqueous solution of gellan gum, in the presence of a cation, has the ability to gel. Upon contact with the precorneal tear film, Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Gel Forming Solution forms a gel that is subsequently removed by the flow of tears."
