"Description": "Prednisone is a glucocorticoid. Glucocorticoids are adrenocortical steroids, both naturally occurring and synthetic, which are readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The molecular formula for prednisone is C21H26O5. Chemically, it is 17, 21-dihydroxypregna-1, 4-diene-3,11,20-trione and has the following structural formula. Prednisone is a white to practically white, odorless, crystalline powder and has a molecular weight of 358.44. It melts at about 230°C with some decomposition. Prednisone is very slightly soluble in water; slightly soluble in alcohol, chloroform, dioxane, and methanol. Each tablet, for oral administration, contains 1 mg, 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, or 20 mg of prednisone. Inactive ingredients:1 mg: anhydrous lactose, corn starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate.|2.5 mg: anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, and talc.5 mg: anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, and talc.10 mg: anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, and talc.20 mg: anhydrous lactose, D&C Yellow No. 10 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Yellow No. 6 Aluminum Lake, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium starch glycolate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Carefully consider the potential benefits and risks of Ibuprofen Tablets, USP and other treatment options before deciding to use Ibuprofen Tablets, USP. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with individual patient treatment goals (see WARNINGS). Ibuprofen Tablets, USP are indicated for relief of the signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis. Ibuprofen Tablets, USP are indicated for relief of mild to moderate pain. Ibuprofen Tablets, USP are also indicated for the treatment of primary dysmenorrhea. Controlled clinical trials to establish the safety and effectiveness of Ibuprofen Tablets, USP in children have not been conducted.",
"Description": "Ibuprofen Tablets, USP contain the active ingredient ibuprofen, which is (±) – 2 – (p – isobutylphenyl) propionic acid. Ibuprofen is a white powder with a melting point of 74-77° C and is very slightly soluble in water (<1 mg/mL) and readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone. The structural formula is represented below. Ibuprofen Tablets, USP, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), is available in 400 mg, 600 mg, and 800 mg tablets for oral administration. Inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, pregelatinized starch, talc, stearic acid, and titanium dioxide."

"Description": "Naproxen, USP is a propionic acid derivative related to the arylacetic acid group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The chemical name for naproxen, USP is (S)-6-methoxy-α-methyl-2-naphthaleneacetic acid. It has the following structural formula. Naproxen, USP has a molecular weight of 230.26 and a molecular formula of C 14H 14O 3. Naproxen, USP is an odorless, white to off-white crystalline substance. It is lipid-soluble, practically insoluble in water at low pH and freely soluble in water at high pH. The octanol/water partition coefficient of naproxen at pH 7.4 is 1.6 to 1.8. Naproxen delayed-release tablets USP are available as enteric coated, white tablets containing 375 mg of naproxen and 500 mg of naproxen, USP for oral administration. The inactive ingredients are croscarmellose sodium, povidone, colloidal silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate. The enteric coating dispersion contains methacrylic acid copolymer dispersion, talc, titanium dioxide, triethyl citrate and purified water. The dissolution of this enteric-coated naproxen tablet is pH dependent with rapid dissolution above pH 6. There is no dissolution below pH 4."

Active ingredient: temazepam, USP. Inactive ingredients: corn starch, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and sodium lauryl sulfate. The capsule shells and imprinting inks contain: gelatin, iron oxide black, shellac, propylene glycol, titanium dioxide, methylparaben, butylparaben, propylparaben, benzyl alcohol, sodium propionate and edetate calcium disodium. The 15 mg capsules also contain D&C Yellow #10 and FD&C Blue #1."

"Description": "Risperidone Tablets, USP contains risperidone, an atypical antipsychotic belonging to the chemical class of benzisoxazole derivatives. The chemical designation is 3-[2-[4-(6-fluoro-1,2-benzisoxazol-3-yl)-1-piperidinyl] ethyl]-6,7,8,9-tetrahydro-2-methyl-4H-pyrido[1,2-a]pyrimidin-4-one. Its molecular formula is C 23H 27FN 4O 2and its molecular weight is 410.49. The structural formula is:. Risperidone is a white or almost white powder. It is practically insoluble in water, freely soluble in methylene chloride, sparingly soluble in alcohol. It dissolves in dilute acid solutions. Risperidone Tablets, USP are available in 0.25 mg (dark yellow), 0.5 mg (Reddish brown), 1 mg (white) strengths, 2 mg (pink), 3 mg (yellow) and 4 mg (green) strengths. Each tablet for oral administration contains the following inactive ingredients: Anhydrous Lactose, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Microcrystalline Cellulose (101), Colloidal Silicon Dioxide, Sodium Starch Glycolate (Type A), Magnesium Stearate, HPMC 2910/ Hypromellose, Macrogol/ PEG (MW 400), Macrogol/ PEG (MW 8000), Titanium Dioxide. "IndicationAndUsage": "Gabapentin capsules are indicated for: 1 Management of postherpetic neuralgia in adults, 2 Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures, with and without secondary generalization, in adults and pediatric patients 3 years and older with epilepsy .",
"Description": "The active ingredient in gabapentin capsules, USP is gabapentin, which has the chemical name 1-(aminomethyl)cyclohexaneacetic acid. The molecular formula of gabapentin is C9H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 171.24. The structural formula of gabapentin is. Gabapentin USP is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a pKa1 of 3.7 and a pKa2 of 10.7. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is –1.25. Each capsule contains the following inactive ingredients: corn starch and talc. The empty hard gelatin capsule shell consists of gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, and titanium dioxide. In addition 300 mg also contains yellow iron oxide and 400 mg also contains yellow iron oxide and red iron oxide. The capsules are printed with edible ink containing black iron oxide and shellac."

"IndicationAndUsage": "TOPROL-XL, metoprolol succinate, is a beta1-selective adrenoceptor blocking agent. TOPROL-XL is indicated for the treatment of: : 1 Hypertension, to lower blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and non-fatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions. (1.1), 2 Angina Pectoris. "Description": "TOPROL-XL, metoprolol succinate, is a beta1-selective (cardioselective) adrenoceptor blocking agent, for oral administration, available as extended-release tablets. TOPROL-XL has been formulated to provide a controlled and predictable release of metoprolol for once-daily administration. The tablets comprise a multiple unit system containing metoprolol succinate in a multitude of controlled release pellets. Each pellet acts as a separate drug delivery unit and is designed to deliver metoprolol continuously over the dosage interval. The tablets contain 23.75, 47.5, 95 and 190 mg of metoprolol succinate equivalent to 25, 50, 100 and 200 mg of metoprolol tartrate, USP, respectively. Its chemical name is (±)1- (isopropylamino)-3-[p-(2-methoxyethyl) phenoxy]-2-propanol succinate (2:1) (salt). Its structural formula is. Metoprolol succinate is a white crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 652.8. It is freely soluble in water; soluble in methanol; sparingly soluble in ethanol; slightly soluble in dichloromethane and 2-propanol; practically insoluble in ethyl-acetate, acetone, diethylether and heptane. Inactive ingredients: silicon dioxide, cellulose compounds, sodium stearyl fumarate, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide, paraffin."

"Description": "Amoxicillin, USP is a semisynthetic antibacterial (amoxicillin), an analog of ampicillin, with a broad spectrum of bactericidal activity against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms. Chemically, it is (2 S,5 R,6 R)-6-[( R)-(-)-2-amino-2-( p-hydroxyphenyl)acetamido]-3,3-dimethyl-7-oxo-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic acid trihydrate. It may be represented structurally as:. The amoxicillin, USP molecular formula is C 16H 19N 3O 5S3H 2O, and the molecular weight is 419.45. Tablets:Each tablet contains 500 mg or 875 mg of amoxicillin, USP as the trihydrate. "Description": "Carisoprodol Tablets USP are available as 350 mg round, white tablets for oral administration. Carisoprodol is a white, crystalline powder, having a mild, characteristic odor and a bitter taste. It is slightly soluble in water; freely soluble in alcohol, in chloroform, and in acetone; and its solubility is practically independent of pH. Carisoprodol is present as a racemic mixture. Chemically, carisoprodol is N-isopropyl-2-methyl-2-propyl-1,3-propanediol dicarbamate. The structural formula is. C 12H 24N 2O 4 M.W.260.33. Other ingredients in the carisoprodol drug product include anhydrous lactose, docusate sodium, magnesium stearate, povidone, sodium benzoate, sodium starch glycolate and starch (corn)."
