"Description": "Metformin hydrochloride, USP is an oral antihyperglycemic drug used in the management of type 2 diabetes. Metformin hydrochloride ( N,N-dimethylimidodicarbonimidic diamide hydrochloride) is not chemically or pharmacologically related to any other classes of oral antihyperglycemic agents. The structural formula is as shown:. Metformin hydrochloride, USP is a white to off-white crystalline compound with a molecular formula of C4H11N5HCl and a molecular weight of 165.63. Metformin hydrochloride, USP is freely soluble in water and is practically insoluble in acetone, ether and chloroform. The pKa of metformin is 12.4. The pH of a 1% aqueous solution of metformin hydrochloride, USP is 6.68. Metformin hydrochloride tablets, USP contain 500 mg, 850 mg, and 1000 mg of metformin hydrochloride, USP. Each tablet contains the inactive ingredients povidone, polyethylene glycol and magnesium stearate. In addition, the coating for 500 mg, 850 mg and 1000 mg contains:lactose monohydrate,hypromellose,titanium dioxide,triacetin."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Topical corticosteroids are indicated for the relief of the inflammatory and pruritic manifestations of corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses.",
"Description": "The topical corticosteroids constitute a class of primarily synthetic steroids used as anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic agents. Triamcinolone acetonide is designated chemically as pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione,9-fluoro-11,21-dihydroxy-16,17-[(1-methylethylidene) bis (oxy)]-,(11ß,16α)-. C 24H 31FO 6, and M.W. of 434.51; CAS Reg. No. 76-25-5. Each gram of 0.025%, 0.1% and 0.5% Triamcinolone Acetonide Cream USP contains 0.25 mg, 1 mg, or 5 mg triamcinolone acetonide respectively, in a washable cream base of cetyl alcohol, cetyl esters wax, glycerin, glyceryl monostearate, isopropyl palmitate, polysorbate-60, propylene glycol, purified water, sorbic acid, and sorbitan monostearate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Guanfacine Tablets, USP are indicated in the management of hypertension. Guanfacine hydrochloride may be given alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents, especially thiazide-type diuretics.",
"Description": "Guanfacine Tablets, USP are a centrally acting antihypertensive with α2-adrenoceptor agonist properties in tablet form for oral administration. The chemical name of guanfacine hydrochloride is N-amidino- 2-(2,6-dichlorophenyl) acetamide hydrochloride and its molecular weight is 282.56. Its structural formula is. Guanfacine hydrochloride is a white to off-white powder; sparingly soluble in water and alcohol and slightly soluble in acetone. Each tablet, for oral administration, contains guanfacine hydrochloride, USP equivalent to 1 mg or 2 mg of guanfacine. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, anhydrous lactose, pregelatinized starch and magnesium stearate. Guanfacine Tablets, USP meets USP Dissolution Test 2."
