"IndicationAndUsage": "NEURONTIN® is indicated for: 1 Management of postherpetic neuralgia in adults, 2 Adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial onset seizures, with and without secondary generalization, in adults and pediatric patients 3 years and older with epilepsy.",
"Description": "The active ingredient in NEURONTIN capsules, tablets, and oral solution is gabapentin, which has the chemical name 1-(aminomethyl)cyclohexaneacetic acid. The molecular formula of gabapentin is C9H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 171.24. The structural formula of gabapentin is. Gabapentin is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a pKa1 of 3.7 and a pKa2 of 10.7. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is -1.25. Each NEURONTIN capsule contains 100 mg, 300 mg, or 400 mg of gabapentin and the following inactive ingredients: cornstarch, FD&C Blue No. 2, gelatin, lactose, red iron oxide (400 mg only), talc, titanium dioxide, and yellow iron oxide (300 mg and 400 mg only). Each NEURONTIN tablet contains 600 mg or 800 mg of gabapentin and the following inactive ingredients: candelilla wax, copovidone, cornstarch, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, poloxamer 407, and talc. NEURONTIN oral solution contains 250 mg of gabapentin per 5 mL (50 mg per mL) and the following inactive ingredients: artificial cool strawberry anise flavor, glycerin, purified water, and xylitol."

"IndicationAndUsage": "CARDURA is an alpha1 adrenergic antagonist indicated for: 1 Signs and symptoms of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) (1.1), 2 Treatment of Hypertension (1.2).",
"Description": "CARDURA® (doxazosin) is a quinazoline compound that is a selective inhibitor of the alpha1 subtype of alpha-adrenergic receptors. The chemical name of doxazosin mesylate is 1-(4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-quinazolinyl)-4-(1,4-benzodioxan-2-ylcarbonyl) piperazine methanesulfonate. The empirical formula for doxazosin mesylate is C23H25N5O5 CH4O3S and the molecular weight is 547.6. It has the following structure. CARDURA (doxazosin) is freely soluble in dimethylsulfoxide, soluble in dimethylformamide, slightly soluble in methanol, ethanol, and water (0.8% at 25°C), and very slightly soluble in acetone and methylene chloride. CARDURA is available as tablets for oral use and contains doxazosin mesylate equivalent to 1 mg (white), 2 mg (white), 4 mg (white) and 8 mg (white) of doxazosin as the free base. The inactive ingredients for all tablets are lactose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium starch glycolate."

"Description": "CELEBREX (celecoxib) capsule is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug, available as capsules containing 50 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg and 400 mg celecoxib for oral administration. The chemical name is 4-[5-(4-methylphenyl)- 3-(trifluoromethyl)-1H-pyrazol-1-yl] benzenesulfonamide and is a diaryl-substituted pyrazole. The molecular weight is 381.38. Its molecular formula is C17H14F3N3O2S, and it has the following chemical structure. Celecoxib is a white to off-white powder with a pKa of 11.1 (sulfonamide moiety). Celecoxib is hydrophobic (log P is 3.5) and is practically insoluble in aqueous media at physiological pH range. The inactive ingredients in CELEBREX include: croscarmellose sodium, edible inks, gelatin, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone and sodium lauryl sulfate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "DILANTIN is indicated for the treatment of tonic-clonic (grand mal) and psychomotor (temporal lobe) seizures and prevention and treatment of seizures occurring during or following neurosurgery.",
"Description": "DILANTIN (phenytoin) is related to the barbiturates in chemical structure, but has a five-membered ring. The chemical name is 5,5-diphenyl-2,4 imidazolidinedione, having the following structural formula. Each 30 mg DILANTIN- (extended phenytoin sodium capsule, USP) for oral administration contains 30 mg phenytoin sodium, USP. Also contains confectioner’s sugar, NF; lactose monohydrate, NF; magnesium stearate, NF; and talc, USP. The capsule shell cap and body components contain D&C yellow No. 10 (cap); FD&C red No. 3 (cap); gelatin (cap and body); and titanium dioxide (cap and body). Product in vivo performance is characterized by a slow and extended rate of absorption with peak blood concentrations expected in 4 to 12 hours as contrasted to Prompt Phenytoin Sodium Capsules, USP with a rapid rate of absorption with peak blood concentration expected in 1½ to 3 hours. "Description": "The active ingredient in NEURONTIN capsules, tablets, and oral solution is gabapentin, which has the chemical name 1-(aminomethyl)cyclohexaneacetic acid. The molecular formula of gabapentin is C9H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 171.24. The structural formula of gabapentin is. Gabapentin is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a pKa1 of 3.7 and a pKa2 of 10.7. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is -1.25. "Description": "VIAGRA (sildenafil citrate), an oral therapy for erectile dysfunction, is the citrate salt of sildenafil, a selective inhibitor of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)-specific phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5). Sildenafil citrate is designated chemically as 1-[[3-(6,7-dihydro-1-methyl-7-oxo-3-propyl-1H-pyrazolo[4,3-d]pyrimidin-5-yl)-4-ethoxyphenyl]sulfonyl]-4-methylpiperazine citrate and has the following structural formula. Sildenafil citrate is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a solubility of 3.5 mg/mL in water and a molecular weight of 666.7. VIAGRA is formulated as blue, rounded diamond shaped film-coated tablets equivalent to 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg of sildenafil for oral administration. "Description": "XANAX contains alprazolam which is a triazolo analog of the 1,4 benzodiazepine class of central nervous system-active compounds. Alprazolam is a white crystalline powder, which is soluble in methanol or ethanol but which has no appreciable solubility in water at physiological pH. "IndicationAndUsage": "Clorazepate dipotassium tablets are indicated for the management of anxiety disorders or for the short-term relief of the symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety or tension associated with the stress of everyday life usually does not require treatment with an anxiolytic. Clorazepate dipotassium tablets are indicated as adjunctive therapy in the management of partial seizures. The effectiveness of clorazepate dipotassium tablets in long-term management of anxiety, that is, more than 4 months, has not been assessed by systematic clinical studies. Long-term studies in epileptic patients, however, have shown continued therapeutic activity. The physician should reassess periodically the usefulness of the drug for the individual patient. "Description": "Chemically, clorazepate dipotassium is a benzodiazepine. The empirical formula is C16H11ClK2N2O4; the molecular weight is 408.92; 1H-1, 4 Benzodiazepine-3-carboxylic acid, 7-chloro-2,3-dihydro-2-oxo-5-phenyl-, potassium salt compound with potassium hydroxide (1:1) and the structural formula may be represented as follows. The compound occurs as a fine, white or light yellow crystalline powder. It is insoluble in the common organic solvents, but very soluble in water. Aqueous solutions are unstable, clear, light yellow, and alkaline. Clorazepate dipotassium tablets, USP contain 3.75 mg, 7.5 mg or 15 mg of clorazepate dipotassium, USP for oral administration. Inactive ingredients for clorazepate dipotassium tablets: croscarmellose sodium, magnesium oxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, potassium carbonate, sodium chloride and sodium lauryl sulfate. The 3.75 mg tablets also contain FD&C Blue No. 2 Aluminum Lake and the 7.5 mg tablets also contain FD&C Yellow No. 6 Aluminum Lake."

"Description": "Fluconazole, the first of a new subclass of synthetic triazole antifungal agents, is available as tablets for oral administration. Fluconazole is designated chemically as 2,4-difluoro-α,α1-bis(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl) benzyl alcohol with an empirical formula of C13H12F2N6O and molecular weight 306.3. The structural formula is:. Fluconazole is a white crystalline solid which is slightly soluble in water and saline.
