"Description": "Letairis contains ambrisentan, an endothelin receptor antagonist. The chemical name of ambrisentan is (+)-(2S)-2-[(4,6-dimethylpyrimidin-2-yl)oxy]-3-methoxy-3,3-diphenylpropanoic acid. It has a molecular formula of C22H22N2O4 and a molecular weight of 378.42 and has the following structural formula:. Figure 1 Ambrisentan Structural Formula. Ambrisentan is a white to off-white, crystalline solid. It is a carboxylic acid with a pKa of 4.0. Ambrisentan is practically insoluble in water and in aqueous solutions at low pH. Solubility increases in aqueous solutions at higher pH. In the solid state ambrisentan is very stable, is not hygroscopic, and is not light sensitive. Letairis is available as 5 mg and 10 mg film-coated tablets for once daily oral administration. The tablets include the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose. The tablets are film-coated with a coating material containing FD&C Red #40 aluminum lake, lecithin, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, talc, and titanium dioxide. "Description": "RANEXA (ranolazine) is available as a film-coated, non-scored, extended-release tablet for oral administration. Ranolazine is a racemic mixture, chemically described as 1-piperazineacetamide, N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-4-[2-hydroxy-3-(2-methoxyphenoxy)propyl]-, (±)-. It has an empirical formula of C24H33N3O4, a molecular weight of 427.54 g/mole, and the following structural formula. Ranolazine is a white to off-white solid. Ranolazine is soluble in dichloromethane and methanol; sparingly soluble in tetrahydrofuran, ethanol, acetonitrile, and acetone; slightly soluble in ethyl acetate, isopropanol, toluene, and ethyl ether; and very slightly soluble in water. RANEXA tablets contain 500 mg or 1000 mg of ranolazine and the following inactive ingredients: carnauba wax, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid copolymer (Type C), microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, sodium hydroxide, and titanium dioxide. "IndicationAndUsage": "SUNLENCA, a human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) capsid inhibitor, is indicated: 1 in combination with other antiretroviral(s), for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in heavily treatment-experienced adults with multidrug resistant HIV-1 whose current antiretroviral regimen is failing due to resistance, intolerance, or safety considerations. (1.1), 2 for oral loading as a component of the initiation regimen for BIXLENVO (bictegravir [BIC]/lenacapavir [LEN]), a complete regimen for the treatment of HIV-1 infection, in adults to replace the current antiretroviral regimen in those who are virologically suppressed (HIV-1 RNA less than 50 copies per mL) on a stable antiretroviral regimen with no known or suspected resistance to the individual components of BIXLENVO. "Description": "SUNLENCA tablets and SUNLENCA injection contain lenacapavir sodium, a capsid inhibitor. The chemical name of lenacapavir sodium is: Sodium (4-chloro-7-(2-((S)-1-(2-((3bS,4aR)-5,5-difluoro-3-(trifluoromethyl)-3b,4,4a,5-tetrahydro-1H-cyclopropa[3,4]cyclopenta[1,2-c]pyrazol-1-yl)acetamido)-2-(3,5-difluorophenyl)ethyl)-6-(3-methyl-3-(methylsulfonyl)but-1-yn-1-yl)pyridin-3-yl)-1-(2,2,2-trifluoroethyl)-1H-indazol-3-yl)(methylsulfonyl)amide. Lenacapavir sodium has a molecular formula of C39H31ClF10N7NaO5S2, a molecular weight of 990.3, and the following structural formula. Lenacapavir sodium is a light yellow to yellow solid and is practically insoluble in water."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Isotretinoin capsules are indicated for the treatment of severe recalcitrant nodular acne in non-pregnant patients 12 years of age and older with multiple inflammatory nodules with a diameter of 5 mm or greater. Because of significant adverse reactions associated with its use, isotretinoin capsules are reserved for patients with severe nodular acne who are unresponsive to conventional therapy, including systemic antibiotics. Limitations of Use. If a second course of isotretinoin capsules treatment is needed, it is not recommended before a 2-month waiting period because the patient’s acne may continue to improve following a 15 to 20-week course of treatment [see Dosage and Administration (2.2)].",
"Description": "Isotretinoin capsules, USP contain 10 mg, 20 mg, 25 mg, 30 mg, 35 mg or 40 mg of isotretinoin, USP (a retinoid) in hard gelatin capsules for oral administration. In addition to the active ingredient, isotretinoin USP, each capsule contains the following inactive ingredients: sorbitan monooleate, soybean oil, stearoyl polyoxyglycerides, and vitamin E. The capsule shells contain the following: 1 10 mg - FD&C Blue No. 1, gelatin, and titanium dioxide, 2 20 mg - FD&C Blue No. 1, gelatin, iron oxide yellow, and titanium dioxide, 3 25 mg - D&C Yellow No. 10, FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Green No. 3, gelatin, and titanium dioxide, 4 30 mg - FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Yellow No. 6, gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, and titanium dioxide, 5 35 mg - FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Red No. 40, gelatin, and titanium dioxide, 6 40 mg - FD&C Blue No. 1, FD&C Yellow No. 6, gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Allergenic extracts are indicated for use in diagnostic testing and as part of a treatment regime for allergic disease, as established by allergy history and skin test reactivity. Allergenic extracts are indicated for the treatment of allergen specific allergic disease for use as hyposensitization or immunotherapy when avoidance of specific allergens can not be attained. The use of allergenic extracts for therapeutic purpose has been established by well-controlled clinical studies. Allergenic extracts may be used as adjunctive therapy along with pharmacotherapy which includes antihistamines, corticosteroids, and cromoglycate, and avoidance measures. Allergenic extracts for therapeutic use should be given using only the allergen selection to which the patient is allergic, has a history of exposure and are likely to be exposed to again.",
"Description": "Allergenic extracts are sterile solutions consisting of the extractable components from various biological sources including pollens, inhalants, molds, animal epidermals and insects. Aqueous extracts are prepared using cocas fluid containing NaCl 0.5%, NaHCO3 0.0275%, WFI, preservative 0.4% Phenol. Glycerinated allergenic extracts are prepared with cocas fluid and glycerin to produce a 50% (v/v) allergenic extract. Allergenic Extracts are supplied as concentrations designated as protein nitrogen units (PNU) or weight/volume (w/v) ratio. Standardized extracts are designated in Bioequivalent Allergy Units (BAU) or Allergy Units (AU). (See product insert for standardized extracts). For diagnostic purposes, allergenic extracts are to be administered by prick-puncture or intradermal routes. Allergenic extracts are administered subcutaneously for immunotherapy injections."

"Description": "Extended phenytoin sodium capsules, USP are related to the barbiturates in chemical structure, but has a five-membered ring. The chemical name is 5,5-diphenyl-2,4 imidazolidinedione, having the following structural formula. Each extended phenytoin sodium capsule, USP contains 100 mg phenytoin sodium, USP. Also contains confectioner's sugar, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and talc. The capsule shell contains benzyl alcohol, black ink, butylparaben, D&C Yellow #10, edetate calcium disodium, FD&C Red #3, gelatin, methylparaben, propylparaben, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium propionate, and titanium dioxide. Product in vivo performance is characterized by a slow and extended rate of absorption with peak blood concentrations expected in 4 to 12 hours as contrasted to Prompt Phenytoin Sodium Capsules, USP with a rapid rate of absorption with peak blood concentration expected in 1½ to 3 hours. Meets USP Dissolution Test 2."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Modafinil tablets are indicated to improve wakefulness in adult patients with excessive sleepiness associated with narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), or shift work disorder (SWD). Limitations of Use. In OSA, modafinil tablets are indicated to treat excessive sleepiness and not as treatment for the underlying obstruction. If continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) is the treatment of choice for a patient, a maximal effort to treat with CPAP for an adequate period of time should be made prior to initiating and during treatment with modafinil tablets for excessive sleepiness.",
"Description": "Modafinil tablets, USP are wakefulness-promoting agent for oral administration. Modafinil is a racemic compound. The chemical name for modafinil is 2-[(diphenylmethyl)sulfinyl]acetamide. The molecular formula is C15H15NO2S and the molecular weight is 273.4. The chemical structure is:. Modafinil is a white to off-white, crystalline powder that is practically insoluble in water, sparingly soluble in methanol and slightly soluble in ethanol (96%). Modafinil tablets, USP contain 100 mg or 200 mg of modafinil and the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and povidone."

"IndicationAndUsage": "COMIRNATY is a vaccine indicated for active immunization to prevent coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). COMIRNATY is approved for use in individuals who are: 1 65 years of age and older, or, 2 5 years through 64 years of age with at least one underlying condition that puts them at high risk for severe outcomes from COVID-19.",
"Description": "COMIRNATY (COVID-19 Vaccine, mRNA) is a sterile injectable suspension for intramuscular use. Single-Dose Prefilled Syringe for Individuals 65 Years of Age and Older and Individuals 12 Years Through 64 Years of Age with at Least One Underlying Condition that Puts Them at High Risk for Severe Outcomes from COVID-19. Each 0.3 mL dose of COMIRNATY (2026-2027 Formula) is formulated to contain 30 mcg nucleoside-modified messenger RNA (modRNA) encoding the viral spike glycoprotein (S) of SARS-CoV-2 JN.1-descendent variant XFG. Each 0.3 mL dose of COMIRNATY also includes the following ingredients: lipids (0.43 mg ((4-hydroxybutyl)azanediyl)bis(hexane-6,1-diyl)bis(2-hexyldecanoate), 0.05 mg 2-(polyethylene glycol 2000)-N,N-ditetradecylacetamide, 0.09 mg 1,2-distearoyl-sn-glycero-3-phosphocholine, and 0.19 mg cholesterol), 0.06 mg tromethamine, 0.4 mg tromethamine hydrochloride, and 31 mg sucrose. "IndicationAndUsage": "1.1 Hypertension. Cardene® I.V. (nicardipine hydrochloride) Premixed Injection is indicated for the short-term treatment of hypertension when oral therapy is not feasible or not desirable. For prolonged control of blood pressure, transfer patients to oral medication as soon as their clinical condition permits [see Dosage and Administration ( 2-2.1)].",
"Description": "Cardene (nicardipine hydrochloride) is a calcium ion influx inhibitor (slow channel blocker or calcium channel blocker). Cardene I.V. Premixed Injection for intravenous administration contains 20 mg (0.1 mg/mL) of nicardipine hydrochloride per 200 mL in either dextrose or sodium chloride or 40 mg (0.2 mg/mL) of nicardipine hydrochloride per 200 mL in sodium chloride. Nicardipine hydrochloride is a dihydropyridine derivative with IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) chemical name (±)-2-(benzyl-methyl amino) ethyl methyl 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl-4-(m-nitrophenyl)-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate monohydrochloride and has the following structure. Nicardipine hydrochloride is a greenish-yellow, odorless, crystalline powder that melts at about 169ºC. It is freely soluble in chloroform, methanol, and glacial acetic acid, sparingly soluble in anhydrous ethanol, slightly soluble in n-butanol, water, 0.01 M potassium dihydrogen phosphate, acetone, and dioxane, very slightly soluble in ethyl acetate, and practically insoluble in benzene, ether, and hexane. It has a molecular weight of 515.99. Cardene I.V. Premixed Injection is available as a ready-to-use sterile, non-pyrogenic, clear, colorless to yellow, iso-osmotic solution for intravenous administration in a 200 mL GALAXY container with 20 mg (0.1 mg/mL) nicardipine hydrochloride in either dextrose or sodium chloride or 40 mg (0.2 mg/mL) nicardipine hydrochloride in sodium chloride. Cardene I.V. Premixed Injection in 4.8% Dextrose. 20 mg in 200 mL (0.1 mg/mL). Each mL contains 0.1 mg nicardipine hydrochloride, 48 mg dextrose hydrous, USP, 0.0192 mg citric acid, anhydrous, USP, and 1.92 mg sorbitol, NF. Hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide may have been added to adjust pH to 3.7 to 4.7. Cardene I.V. Premixed Injection in 0.86% Sodium Chloride. 20 mg in 200 mL (0.1 mg/mL). Each mL contains 0.1 mg nicardipine hydrochloride, 8.6 mg sodium chloride, USP, 0.0192 mg citric acid, anhydrous, USP, and 1.92 mg sorbitol, NF. Hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide may have been added to adjust pH to 3.7 to 4.7. Cardene I.V. Premixed Injection in 0.83% Sodium Chloride. 40 mg in 200 mL (0.2 mg/mL). Each mL contains 0.2 mg nicardipine hydrochloride, 8.3 mg sodium chloride, USP, 0.0384 mg citric acid, anhydrous, USP, and 3.84 mg sorbitol, NF. Hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide may have been added to adjust pH to 3.7 to 4.7. The GALAXY container is fabricated from multilayered plastic (PL 2501). Solutions are in contact with the polyethylene layer of the container and can leach out certain chemical components of the plastic in very small amounts within the expiration period. The suitability and safety of the plastic have been confirmed in tests in animals according to the USP biological tests for plastic containers, as well as by tissue culture toxicity studies."

NEXTERONE also can be used to treat patients with VT/VF for whom oral amiodarone is indicated, but who are unable to take oral medication. During or after treatment with NEXTERONE, patients may be transferred to oral amiodarone therapy [see Dosage and Administration ( 2)]. Use NEXTERONE for acute treatment until the patient's ventricular arrhythmias are stabilized. Most patients will require this therapy for 48 to 96 hours, but NEXTERONE may be safely administered for longer periods if necessary.",

"IndicationAndUsage": "Extended phenytoin sodium capsules, USP are indicated for the treatment of tonic-clonic (grand mal) and psychomotor (temporal lobe) seizures and prevention and treatment of seizures occurring during or following neurosurgery.",
"Description": "Extended phenytoin sodium capsules, USP are related to the barbiturates in chemical structure, but has a five-membered ring. The chemical name is 5,5-diphenyl-2,4 imidazolidinedione, having the following structural formula. Each extended phenytoin sodium capsule, USP contains 100 mg phenytoin sodium, USP. Also contains confectioner's sugar, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and talc. The capsule shell contains benzyl alcohol, black ink, butylparaben, D&C Yellow #10, edetate calcium disodium, FD&C Red #3, gelatin, methylparaben, propylparaben, sodium lauryl sulfate, sodium propionate, and titanium dioxide. Product in vivo performance is characterized by a slow and extended rate of absorption with peak blood concentrations expected in 4 to 12 hours as contrasted to Prompt Phenytoin Sodium Capsules, USP with a rapid rate of absorption with peak blood concentration expected in 1½ to 3 hours. Meets USP Dissolution Test 2."

"Description": "VISTIDE® is the brand name for cidofovir injection. The chemical name of cidofovir is 1-[(S)-3-hydroxy-2-(phosphonomethoxy)propyl]cytosine dihydrate (HPMPC), with the molecular formula of C8H14N3O6P2H2O and a molecular weight of 315.22 (279.19 for anhydrous).
