"IndicationAndUsage": "These products are for diagnostic use only. Diagnostic allergenic extracts are indicated for use in skin testing to establish the clinical relevance of specific allergens to which the patient has been exposed. By measuring skin test response, the physician may assess the degree of sensitivity that patients have to the allergens. For extracts standardized in AU and BAU, see individual directions for use. Allergenic extracts for diagnostic use only of coffee, mosquito, cottonseed, and flaxseed have not been shown by adequate data to be safe and effective for therapeutic use.",
"Description": "Sterile diagnostic extracts are supplied in either phenol-saline diluent for Intradermal Testing or in diluent containing glycerin 50% (v/v) for Percutaneous Testing and phenol 0.4% (preservative). Inactive ingredients may include: sodium chloride for isotonicity, glycerin, and sodium bicarbonate as a buffer. Pollens are individually extracted from pure pollen extracted in a phenol-preserved sodium bicarbonate solution. Short Ragweed and Mixed (Tall and Short) Ragweed extracts are standardized by Antigen E content and so labeled. The Antigen E content of extracts containing Short Ragweed at a concentration more dilute than a weight/volume ratio of 1:10 are obtained by calculating the Antigen E content based on the assay value of more concentrated extract. Pollen extracts are filtered aseptically and after final packaging, they are tested for sterility and safety. Molds are individually extracted from pure powdered inactivated mold source material extracted in phenol preserved saline. Mold extracts are filtered aseptically and after final packaging are tested for sterility and safety. Molds (fungi) are present in all inhabited places at all seasons of the year; they are so ubiquitous that they are prevalent at times when common allergic pollens and other inhalants are not. In the home and surroundings, molds are found in upholstered furniture, mattresses, drapes, cellar and storage room dust, woolens, leather goods, fruits, meats, cheeses, garden soil and on plants. Spores, mycelial fragments and mold residues are thus inhaled, contacted and ingested continuously. Foods, miscellaneous inhalants and epidermals are individually extracted in phenol preserved saline or glycerin, filtered aseptically and after final packaging are tested for sterility and safety."

"IndicationAndUsage": "70% Dextrose Injection, USP (concentrated dextrose in water) in Pharmacy Bulk Packages is indicated for use with automated compounding devices for preparing intravenous nutritional admixtures in the pharmacy.",
"Description": "70% Dextrose Injection, USP (concentrated dextrose in water) is a sterile, nonpyrogenic, hypertonic solution of Dextrose, USP in water for injection for intravenous administration after appropriate admixture or dilution. The Pharmacy Bulk Package is a sterile dosage form which contains multiple single doses for use only in a pharmacy bulk admixture program. The content and physical characteristics of the solutions are as follows. The solutions contain no bacteriostat, antimicrobial agent or added buffer and are intended only for use as a single-dose injection following admixture or dilution. This Pharmacy Bulk Package is intended only for use in the preparation of sterile, intravenous nutrient admixtures using automated compounding devices. The flexible plastic container is fabricated from a specially formulated polyvinylchloride. Water can permeate from inside the container into the overwrap but not in amounts sufficient to affect the solution significantly. Solutions in contact with the plastic container may leach out certain chemical components from the plastic in very small amounts; however, biological testing was supportive of the safety of the plastic container materials. Exposure to temperatures above 25°C/77°F during transport and storage will lead to minor losses in moisture content. Higher temperatures lead to greater losses. It is unlikely that these minor losses will lead to clinically significant changes within the expiration period. Dextrose Injection, USP is a parenteral fluid and nutrient replenisher. Dextrose, USP is chemically designated D-glucose, monohydrate (C6H12O6 H2O), a hexose sugar freely soluble in water. It has the following structural formula:. Water for Injection, USP is chemically designated H2O."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Epinephrine Injection, USP is indicated for intravenous injection in (1) treatment of acute hypersensitivity (anaphylactoid reactions to drugs, animal serums and other allergens), (2) treatment of acute asthmatic attacks to relieve bronchospasm not controlled by inhalation or subcutaneous administration of other solutions of the drug and (3) treatment and prophylaxis of cardiac arrest and attacks of transitory atrioventricular (A-V) heart block with syncopal seizures (Stokes-Adams Syndrome). In acute attacks of ventricular standstill, physical measures should be applied first. When external cardiac compression and attempts to restore the circulation by electrical defibrillation or use of a pacemaker fail, intracardiac puncture and intramyocardial injection of epinephrine may be effective.",
"Description": "Epinephrine Injection, USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution administered parenterally by the intravenous or intracardiac (left ventricular chamber) routes, or via endotracheal tube into the bronchial tree. Each milliliter (mL) contains epinephrine 0.1 mg; sodium chloride 8.16 mg; sodium metabisulfite added 0.46 mg; citric acid, anhydrous 2 mg and sodium citrate, dihydrate 0.6 mg added as buffers. May contain additional citric acid and/or sodium citrate for pH adjustment. pH 3.3 (2.2 to 5.0). Epinephrine Injection, USP is oxygen sensitive. The solution contains no bacteriostat or antimicrobial agent and is intended for use only as a single-dose injection. When smaller doses are required the unused portion should be discarded. Epinephrine Injection, USP is a parenteral adrenergic (sympathomimetic) agent and cardiac stimulant. The drug belongs to the group of endogenous compounds known as catecholamines. Sodium Chloride, USP is chemically designated NaCl, a white crystalline powder freely soluble in water. Epinephrine, USP is chemically designated 4-[1-hydroxy-2-(methylamino) ethyl]-1, 2 benzenediol, a white, microcrystalline powder. With acids, it forms salts that are freely soluble in water. Epinephrine has the following structural formula."

<IndicationAndUsage>These products are for diagnostic use only. Allergenic extracts for diagnostic use only of coffee, mosquito, cottonseed, and flaxseed have not been shown by adequate data to be safe and effective for therapeutic use.</IndicationAndUsage>

Sterile diagnostic extracts are supplied in either phenol-saline diluent for Intradermal Testing or in diluent containing glycerin 50% (v/v) for Percutaneous Testing and phenol 0.4% (preservative). Foods, miscellaneous inhalants and epidermals are individually extracted in phenol preserved saline or glycerin, filtered aseptically and after final packaging are tested for sterility and safety.

<IndicationAndUsage>70% Dextrose Injection, USP (concentrated dextrose in water) in Pharmacy Bulk Packages is indicated for use with automated compounding devices for preparing intravenous nutritional admixtures in the pharmacy.</IndicationAndUsage>

70% Dextrose Injection, USP (concentrated dextrose in water) is a sterile, nonpyrogenic, hypertonic solution of Dextrose, USP in water for injection for intravenous administration after appropriate admixture or dilution. Water for Injection, USP is chemically designated H2O.

<IndicationAndUsage>Epinephrine Injection, USP is indicated for intravenous injection in (1) treatment of acute hypersensitivity (anaphylactoid reactions to drugs, animal serums and other allergens), (2) treatment of acute asthmatic attacks to relieve bronchospasm not controlled by inhalation or subcutaneous administration of other solutions of the drug and (3) treatment and prophylaxis of cardiac arrest and attacks of transitory atrioventricular (A-V) heart block with syncopal seizures (Stokes-Adams Syndrome). In acute attacks of ventricular standstill, physical measures should be applied first. When external cardiac compression and attempts to restore the circulation by electrical defibrillation or use of a pacemaker fail, intracardiac puncture and intramyocardial injection of epinephrine may be effective.</IndicationAndUsage>

Epinephrine Injection, USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution administered parenterally by the intravenous or intracardiac (left ventricular chamber) routes, or via endotracheal tube into the bronchial tree. Epinephrine has the following structural formula.
