"Description": "Prednisone is a glucocorticoid. Glucocorticoids are adrenocortical steroids, both naturally occurring and synthetic, which are readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The molecular formula for prednisone is C21H26O5. Chemically, it is 17, 21-dihydroxypregna-1, 4-diene-3,11,20-trione and has the following structural formula. Prednisone is a white to practically white, odorless, crystalline powder and has a molecular weight of 358.44. It melts at about 230°C with some decomposition. Prednisone is very slightly soluble in water; slightly soluble in alcohol, chloroform, dioxane, and methanol. Each tablet, for oral administration, contains 1 mg, 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, or 20 mg of prednisone. Inactive ingredients:1 mg: anhydrous lactose, corn starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate.|2.5 mg: anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, and talc.5 mg: anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, and talc.10 mg: anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, and talc.20 mg: anhydrous lactose, D&C Yellow No. 10 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Yellow No. 6 Aluminum Lake, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium starch glycolate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Fluocinolone acetonide 0.01% Oil Ear Drops is a low to medium potency corticosteroid indicated for the treatment of chronic eczematous external otitis in adults and pediatric patients 2 years and older.",
"Description": "Fluocinolone acetonide 0.01% Oil Ear Drops contain fluocinolone acetonide {(6α, 11β, 16α)-6,9-difluoro-11,21-dihydroxy-16,17[(1-methylethylidene)bis(oxy)]-pregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione, cyclic 16,17 acetal with acetone}, a synthetic corticosteroid. Chemically, fluocinolone acetonide is C24 H30 F2 O6. It has the following structural formula. Fluocinolone acetonide has a molecular weight of 452.50. It is a white crystalline powder that is odorless, stable in light, and melts at 270°C with decomposition; soluble in alcohol, acetone and methanol; slightly soluble in chloroform; insoluble in water. Each gram of Fluocinolone acetonide 0.01% Oil Ear Drops contains approximately 0.11 mg of fluocinolone acetonide in a blend of oils, which contains isopropyl alcohol, isopropyl myristate, light mineral oil, oleth-2, refined peanut oil NF, and fragrances."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Meropenem for injection (I.V.) is a penem antibacterial indicated for the treatment of: : 1 Complicated skin and skin structure infections (adult patients and pediatric patients 3 months of age and older only). ( 1.1) , 2 Complicated intra-abdominal infections (adult and pediatric patients). ( 1.2) , 3 Bacterial meningitis (pediatric patients 3 months of age and older only). ( 1.3) .",
"Description": "Meropenem for injection, USP (I.V.) is a sterile, pyrogen-free, synthetic, carbapenem antibacterial for intravenous administration. It is (4R,5S,6S)-3-[[(3S,5S)-5-(Dimethylcarbamoyl)-3-pyrrolidinyl]thio]-6-[(1R)-1-hydroxyethyl]-4-methyl-7-oxo-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]hept-2-ene-2-carboxylic acid trihydrate. Its empirical formula is C 17H 25N 3O 5S3H 2O with a molecular weight of 437.52. Its structural formula is:. Meropenem for injection, USP (I.V.) is a white to pale yellow crystalline powder. The solution varies from colorless to yellow depending on the concentration. The pH of freshly constituted solutions is between 7.3 and 8.3. Meropenem is soluble in 5% monobasic potassium phosphate solution, sparingly soluble in water, very slightly soluble in hydrated ethanol, and practically insoluble in acetone or ether. When re-constituted as instructed, each 500 mg Meropenem for injection, USP (I.V.) vial will deliver 500 mg meropenem and 45.1 mg of sodium as sodium carbonate (1.96 mEq). Each 1 gram Meropenem for injection, USP (I.V.) vial will deliver 1 gram of meropenem and 90.2 mg of sodium as sodium carbonate (3.92 mEq) [ see Dosage and Administration ( 2.4) ]."

"Description": "Piperacillin and tazobactam for injection, USP is an injectable antibacterial combination products consisting of the semisynthetic antibacterial piperacillin sodium and the beta-lactamase inhibitor tazobactam sodium for intravenous administration. Piperacillin sodium is derived from D(-)-α-aminobenzyl-penicillin. The chemical name of piperacillin sodium is sodium (2 S,5 R,6 R)-6-[( R)-2-(4-ethyl-2,3-dioxo-1-piperazine-carboxamido)-2- phenylacetamido]-3,3-dimethyl-7-oxo-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylate. The chemical formula is C 23H 26N 5NaO 7S and the molecular weight is 539.5. The chemical structure of piperacillin sodium is:. Tazobactam sodium, a derivative of the penicillin nucleus, is a penicillanic acid sulfone. Its chemical name is sodium (2 S,3 S,5 R)-3-methyl-7-oxo-3-(1 H-1,2,3-triazol-1-ylmethyl)-4-thia-1-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylate-4,4-dioxide. The chemical formula is C 10H 11N 4NaO 5S and the molecular weight is 322.3. The chemical structure of tazobactam sodium is:. Piperacillin and tazobactam for injection, USP contains a total of 2.35 mEq (54 mg) of sodium (Na +) per gram of piperacillin in the combination product. Piperacillin and tazobactam for injection, USP is a white to off-white sterile, cryodesiccated powder consisting of piperacillin and tazobactam as their sodium salts packaged in glass vials. The product does not contain excipients or preservatives. : 1 Each piperacillin and tazobactam for injection, USP 2.25 g single-dose vial contains an amount of drug sufficient for withdrawal of piperacillin sodium equivalent to 2 grams of piperacillin and tazobactam sodium equivalent to 0.25 g of tazobactam. Each vial contains 4.69 mEq (108 mg) of sodium., 2 Each piperacillin and tazobactam for injection, USP 3.375 g single-dose vial contains an amount of drug sufficient for withdrawal of piperacillin sodium equivalent to 3 grams of piperacillin and tazobactam sodium equivalent to 0.375 g of tazobactam. Each vial contains 7.04 mEq (162 mg) of sodium., 3 Each piperacillin and tazobactam for injection, USP 4.5 g single-dose vial contains an amount of drug sufficient for withdrawal of piperacillin sodium equivalent to 4 grams of piperacillin and tazobactam sodium equivalent to 0.5 g of tazobactam. Each vial contains 9.39 mEq (216 mg) of sodium."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Alprazolam is indicated for the: 1 acute treatment of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in adults., 2 treatment of panic disorder (PD), with or without agoraphobia in adults.",
"Description": "Alprazolam Tablets, USP contains alprazolam which is a triazolo analog of the 1,4 benzodiazepine class of central nervous system-active compounds. The chemical name of alprazolam is 8-Chloro-1-methyl-6-phenyl-4H-s-triazolo [4,3-α] [1,4] benzodiazepine. The structural formula is. Alprazolam is a white crystalline powder, which is soluble in methanol or ethanol but which has no appreciable solubility in water at physiological pH. Each Alprazolam Tablet, USP for oral administration, contains 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 1 mg, or 2 mg of alprazolam, USP. Inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, crospovidone, pregelatinized starch, docusate sodium, sodium benzoate, microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate. In addition, the 0.5 mg tablet contains D&C Yellow No. 10 and the 1 mg and 2 mg tablets contain D&C Yellow No. 10 Aluminum lake and FD&C Blue No. 2."

"IndicationAndUsage": "DUREZOL® is a corticosteroid indicated for: 1 The treatment of inflammation and pain associated with ocular surgery. (1.1), 2 The treatment of endogenous anterior uveitis. (1.2).",
"Description": "DUREZOL (difluprednate ophthalmic emulsion) 0.05% is a sterile, topical anti-inflammatory corticosteroid for topical ophthalmic use. The chemical name is 6α,9difluoro-11β,17,21-trihydroxypregna-1,4- diene-3,20-dione 21-acetate 17-butyrate (CAS number 23674-86-4). Difluprednate is represented by the following structural formula. Difluprednate has a molecular weight of 508.56 g/mol, and the empirical formula is C27H34F2O7. Each mL of DUREZOL contains: Active: difluprednate 0.5 mg (0.05%); Inactives: boric acid, castor oil, edetate disodium, glycerin, polysorbate 80, sodium acetate, sodium hydroxide (to adjust the pH to 5.2 to 5.8), water for injection. Preservative: sorbic acid 0.1%. The emulsion is essentially isotonic with a tonicity of 304 to 411 mOsm/kg."

"IndicationAndUsage": "TPN Electrolytes (multiple electrolyte additive) is indicated for use as a supplement to nutritional solutions containing concentrated dextrose and amino acids delivered by central venous infusion, to help maintain electrolyte homeostasis in adult patients.",
"Description": "TPN Electrolytes (multiple electrolyte additive) is a sterile, nonpyrogenic, concentrated solution of intra- and extracellular ions for intravenous infusion after dilution as a maintenance electrolyte replenisher only. It contains no phosphate and no bacteriostat, antimicrobial agent or added buffer. The pH is 6.6 (6.0 to 7.5). May contain hydrochloric acid for pH adjustment. The osmolar concentration is 6.2 mOsmol/mL (calc.). __________________________. *Total Parenteral Nutrition. Ingredients and ion constituents of the solution are as follows. Sodium Chloride, USP is chemically designated NaCl, a white crystalline compound freely soluble in water. Calcium Chloride, USP dihydrate is chemically designated CaCl2 2H2O, white, odorless fragments or granules, freely soluble in water. Potassium Chloride, USP is chemically designated KCl, a white granular powder freely soluble in water. Magnesium Chloride, USP hexahydrate is chemically designated MgCl2 6H2O, deliquescent crystals very soluble in water. Sodium Acetate, USP anhydrous is chemically designated C2H3NaO2, a hygroscopic powder very soluble in water. Water for Injection, USP is chemically designated H2O. The semi-rigid container is fabricated from a specially formulated polyolefin. It is a copolymer of ethylene and propylene. The safety of the plastic has been confirmed by tests in animals according to USP biological standards for plastic containers. The container requires no vapor barrier to maintain the proper drug concentration."

"Description": "Prednisone is a glucocorticoid. Glucocorticoids are adrenocortical steroids, both naturally occurring and synthetic, which are readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The molecular formula for prednisone is C21H26O5. Chemically, it is 17, 21-dihydroxypregna-1, 4-diene-3,11,20-trione and has the following structural formula. Prednisone is a white to practically white, odorless, crystalline powder and has a molecular weight of 358.44. It melts at about 230°C with some decomposition. Prednisone is very slightly soluble in water; slightly soluble in alcohol, chloroform, dioxane, and methanol. Each tablet, for oral administration, contains 1 mg, 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, or 20 mg of prednisone. "IndicationAndUsage": "Bromfenac Ophthalmic Solution 0.09% is indicated for the treatment of postoperative inflammation and reduction of ocular pain in patients who have undergone cataract surgery.",
"Description": "Bromfenac ophthalmic solution 0.09% is a sterile, topical, nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) for ophthalmic use. Each mL of bromfenac ophthalmic solution contains 1.035 mg bromfenac sodium (equivalent to 0.9 mg bromfenac free acid). Bromfenac sodium is designated chemically as sodium 2-amino-3-(4-bromobenzoyl) phenylacetate sesquihydrate, with an empirical formula of C15H11BrNNaO3 3/2 H2O. The structural structure for bromfenac sodium is. Bromfenac sodium is a yellow to orange crystalline powder. The molecular weight of bromfenac sodium is 383.16. Bromfenac ophthalmic solution is supplied as a sterile aqueous 0.09% solution, with a pH of 8.3. The osmolality of bromfenac ophthalmic solution is approximately 300 mOsmol/kg.Each mL of bromfenac ophthalmic solution contains: Active: bromfenac sodium hydrate 0.1035%Preservative: benzalkonium chloride (0.05 mg/mL)Inactives: boric acid, disodium edetate (0.2 mg/mL), polysorbate 80 (1.5 mg/mL), povidone K-30 (20 mg/mL), sodium borate, and sodium sulfite anhydrous (2 mg/mL). sodium hydroxide may be used to adjust pH and water for injection USP."
