"IndicationAndUsage": "LAMICTAL is indicated for:. Epilepsy—adjunctive therapy in patients aged 2 years and older: : 1 partial-onset seizures., 2 primary generalized tonic-clonic (PGTC) seizures., 3 generalized seizures of Lennox-Gastaut syndrome. (1.1).",
"Description": "LAMICTAL (lamotrigine), an AED of the phenyltriazine class, is chemically unrelated to existing AEDs. Lamotrigine’s chemical name is 3,5-diamino-6-(2,3-dichlorophenyl)-as-triazine, its molecular formula is C9H7N5Cl2, and its molecular weight is 256.09. Lamotrigine is a white to pale cream-colored powder and has a pKa of 5.7. Lamotrigine is very slightly soluble in water (0.17 mg/mL at 25°C) and slightly soluble in 0.1 M HCl (4.1 mg/mL at 25°C). The structural formula is. LAMICTAL tablets are supplied for oral administration as 25-mg (white), 100-mg (peach), 150-mg (cream), and 200-mg (blue) tablets. Each tablet contains the labeled amount of lamotrigine and the following inactive ingredients: lactose; magnesium stearate; microcrystalline cellulose; povidone; sodium starch glycolate; FD&C Yellow No. 6 Lake (100-mg tablet only); ferric oxide, yellow (150-mg tablet only); and FD&C Blue No. 2 Lake (200-mg tablet only). LAMICTAL tablets for oral suspension are supplied for oral administration. The tablets contain 2 mg (white), 5 mg (white), or 25 mg (white) of lamotrigine and the following inactive ingredients: blackcurrant flavor, calcium carbonate, low-substituted hydroxypropylcellulose, magnesium aluminum silicate, magnesium stearate, povidone, saccharin sodium, and sodium starch glycolate. The tablets for oral suspension meet Organic Impurities Procedure 2 as published in the current USP monograph for Lamotrigine Tablets for Oral Suspension. LAMICTAL ODT orally disintegrating tablets are supplied for oral administration. The tablets contain 25 mg (white to off-white), 50 mg (white to off-white), 100 mg (white to off-white), or 200 mg (white to off-white) of lamotrigine and the following inactive ingredients: artificial cherry flavor, crospovidone, ethylcellulose, magnesium stearate, mannitol, polyethylene, and sucralose. LAMICTAL ODT orally disintegrating tablets are formulated using technologies (Microcaps and AdvaTab) designed to mask the bitter taste of lamotrigine and achieve a rapid dissolution profile. Tablet characteristics including flavor, mouth-feel, after-taste, and ease of use were rated as favorable in a study in 108 healthy volunteers."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Endocrine disorders: primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency (hydrocortisone or cortisone is the first choice; synthetic analogs may be used in conjunction with mineralocorticoids where applicable; in infancy mineralocorticoid supplementation is of particular importance), congenital adrenal hyperplasia, nonsuppurative thyroiditis, hypercalcemia associated with cancer. Rheumatic disorders: as adjunctive therapy for short-term administration (to tide the patient over an acute episode or exacerbation) in: psoriatic arthritis; rheumatoid arthritis, including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (selected cases may require low-dose maintenance therapy); ankylosing spondylitis; acute and subacute bursitis; acute nonspecific tenosynovitis; acute gouty arthritis; posttraumatic osteoarthritis; synovitis of osteoarthritis; epicondylitis. Collagen diseases: during an exacerbation or as maintenance therapy in selected cases of: systemic lupus erythematosus, acute rheumatic carditis. Dermatologic diseases: pemphigus, bullous dermatitis herpetiformis, severe erythema multiforme (Stevens-Johnson syndrome), exfoliative dermatitis, mycosis fungoides, severe psoriasis, severe seborrheic dermatitis. Allergic states: control of severe or incapacitating allergic conditions intractable to adequate trials of conventional treatment: seasonal or perennial allergic rhinitis, serum sickness, bronchial asthma, contact dermatitis, atopic dermatitis, drug hypersensitivity reactions. Ophthalmic diseases: severe acute and chronic allergic and inflammatory processes involving the eye and its adnexa, such as: allergic conjunctivitis, keratitis, allergic corneal marginal ulcers, herpes zoster ophthalmicus, iritis and iridocyclitis, chorioretinitis, anterior segment inflammation, diffuse posterior uveitis and choroiditis, optic neuritis, sympathetic ophthalmia. Respiratory diseases: symptomatic sarcoidosis, Loeffler's syndrome not manageable by other means, berylliosis, fulminating or disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis when used concurrently with appropriate antituberculous chemotherapy, aspiration pneumonitis. Hematologic disorders: idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in adults, secondary thrombocytopenia in adults, acquired (autoimmune) hemolytic anemia, erythroblastopenia (RBC anemia), congenital (erythroid) hypoplastic anemia. Neoplastic diseases: for palliative management of: leukemias and lymphomas in adults, acute leukemia of childhood. Edematous states: to induce a diuresis or remission of proteinuria in the nephrotic syndrome, without uremia, of the idiopathic type or that due to lupus erythematosus. Gastrointestinal diseases: to tide the patient over a critical period of the disease in: ulcerative colitis, regional enteritis. Miscellaneous: tuberculous meningitis with subarachnoid block or impending block when used concurrently with appropriate antituberculous chemotherapy, trichinosis with neurologic or myocardial involvement. In addition to the above indications, prednisone tablets are indicated for systemic dermatomyositis (polymyositis).",
"Description": "Prednisone Tablets, USP contain prednisone which is a glucocorticoid. Glucocorticoids are adrenocortical steroids, both naturally occurring and synthetic, which are readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The chemical name for prednisone is pregna-1,4-diene-3,11,20-trione, 17,21-dihydroxy-. The structural formula is represented below:. Molecular Formula: C 21H 26O 5. Molecular Weight: 358.44. Prednisone is a white or almost white crystalline powder. It is slightly soluble in acetone, ethanol, ethylacetate and methanol. Prednisone Tablets, USP 1 mg are available for oral administration containing 1 mg of prednisone, USP. Each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, sodium lauryl sulfate and sodium starch glycolate. Meets USP Dissolution Test 2."

Chemically, glimepiride is identified as 1-[[p-[2-(3-ethyl-4-methyl-2-oxo-3-pyrroline-1-carboxamido)ethyl]phenyl]sulfonyl]-3-(trans-4-methylcyclohexyl)urea (C24H34N4O5S) with a molecular weight of 490.62. Glimepiride USP is a white or almost white powder and is practically insoluble in water.The structural formula is. Glimepiride tablets, USP contain the active ingredient glimepiride and the following inactive ingredients: lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, and sodium starch glycolate. In addition, 1 mg contains ferric oxide red, 2 mg contains ferric oxide yellow and FD&C blue No. 2, and 4 mg contains FD&C blue No. 2."

"Description": "Hydromorphone Hydrochloride Tablets, USP, a hydrogenated ketone of morphine, are an opioid analgesic. The chemical name of hydromorphone hydrochloride is 4,5α-epoxy-3-hydroxy-17-methylmorphinan-6-one hydrochloride. The structural formula is. M.W. 321.8. Color Coded Tablets (for oral administration) contain. 2 mg hydromorphone hydrochloride (orange tablet) and D and C red #30 Lake dye, D and C yellow #10 Lake dye, lactose, and magnesium stearate. Hydromorphone Hydrochloride 2 mg Tablets may contain traces of sodium metabisulfite. 4 mg hydromorphone hydrochloride (yellow tablet) and D and C yellow #10 Lake dye, lactose, and magnesium stearate. Hydromorphone Hydrochloride 4 mg Tablets may contain traces of sodium metabisulfite. 8 mg hydromorphone hydrochloride (white tablet) and lactose anhydrous, and magnesium stearate. Hydromorphone Hydrochloride 8 mg Tablets may contain traces of sodium metabisulfite."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Capecitabine is a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor indicated for: Colorectal Cancer adjuvant treatment of patients with Stage III colon cancer as a single agent or as a component of a combination chemotherapy regimen. ( 1.1) perioperative treatment of adults with locally advanced rectal cancer as a component of chemoradiotherapy. ( 1.1) treatment of patients with unresectable or metastatic colorectal cancer as a single agent or as a component of a combination chemotherapy regimen. ( 1.1) Breast Cancer treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic breast cancer as a single agent if an anthracycline-or taxane-containing chemotherapy is not indicated. ( 1.2) treatment of patients with advanced or metastatic breast cancer in combination with docetaxel after disease progression on prior anthracycline-containing chemotherapy. ( 1.2) Gastric, Esophageal, or Gastroesophageal Junction Cancer treatment of adults with unresectable or metastatic gastric, esophageal, or gastroesophageal junction cancer as a component of a combination chemotherapy regimen. ( 1.3) treatment of adults with HER2-overexpressing metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction adenocarcinoma who have not received prior treatment for metastatic disease as a component of a combination regimen. ( 1.3) Pancreatic Cancer adjuvant treatment of adults with pancreatic adenocarcinoma as a component of a combination chemotherapy regimen. ( 1.4).",
"Description": "Capecitabine is a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor. The chemical name is 5’-deoxy-5-fluoro-N[(pentyloxy) carbonyl]-cytidine and has a molecular formula of C 15H 22FN 3O 6and a molecular weight of 359.35. Capecitabine has the following structural formula:. Capecitabine USP is a white or almost white powder. Capecitabine USP is freely soluble in anhydrous ethanol, sparingly soluble in water and practically insoluble in heptane. Capecitabine tablets USP are supplied as biconvex, film-coated tablets for oral administration. Each light peach-colored tablet contains 150 mg capecitabine USP and each peach-colored tablet contains 500 mg capecitabine USP. The inactive ingredients in capecitabine tablets USP include: croscarmellose sodium, hypromellose, lactose anhydrous, magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose. The peach or light peach film coating contains hypromellose, iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow, talc and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Ranolazine extended-release tablets are indicated for the treatment of chronic angina. Ranolazine extended-release tablets may be used with beta-blockers, nitrates, calcium channel blockers, anti-platelet therapy, lipid-lowering therapy, ACE inhibitors, and angiotensin receptor blockers.",
"Description": "Ranolazine is available as a film-coated, non-scored, extended-release tablet for oral administration. Ranolazine is a racemic mixture, chemically described as 1-piperazineacetamide, N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl)-4-[2-hydroxy-3-(2-methoxyphenoxy)propyl]-, (±)-. It has an empirical formula of C 24H 33N 3O 4, a molecular weight of 427.54 g/mole, and the following structural formula:. Ranolazine is a white to off-white solid. Ranolazine is soluble in dichloromethane and methanol; sparingly soluble in tetrahydrofuran, ethanol, acetonitrile, and acetone;slightly soluble in ethyl acetate, isopropanol, toluene, and ethyl ether; and very slightly soluble in water. Ranolazine extended-release tablets contain 500 mg or 1000 mg of ranolazine and the following inactive ingredients: hypromellose (5 mPas), hypromellose (6 mPas), lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol 3350, polysorbate 80, sodium lauryl sulfate, titanium dioxide, triacetin, sodium hydroxide. Additional inactive ingredient for the 500 mg tablet includes FD&C yellow #6 and additional inactive ingredients for the 1000 mg tablet include iron oxide yellow and iron oxide red."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Minocycline hydrochloride is a tetracycline-class drug indicated to treat only inflammatory lesions of non-nodular moderate to severe acne vulgaris in patients 12 years of age and older. (1).",
"Description": "Minocycline hydrochloride, a semi synthetic derivative of tetracycline, is [4S-(4α,4aα,5aα,12aα)]-4,7-Bis(dimethylamino)-1,4,4a,5,5a,6,11,12a-octahydro-3,10,12,12a-tetrahydroxy-1,11-dioxo-2-naphthacenecarboxamide mono hydrochloride. The structural formula is represented below. Minocycline hydrochloride extended-release tablets USP for oral administration contain minocycline hydrochloride, USP equivalent to 45 mg, 90 mg, or 135 mg of minocycline. In addition, 45 mg, 90 mg, and 135 mg tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, titanium dioxide, and triacetin. The 45 mg tablets also contain iron oxide black. The 90 mg tablets also contain iron oxide yellow and polyethylene glycol. The 135 mg tablets also contain iron oxide red and polyethylene glycol. Meets USP dissolution test 2."

The chemical name for tramadol hydrochloride, USP is (±) cis-2-[(dimethylamino)methyl]-1-(3-methoxyphenyl) cyclohexanol hydrochloride. Its structural formula is:. The molecular weight of tramadol hydrochloride, USP is 299.84. Tramadol hydrochloride, USP is a white, bitter, crystalline and odorless powder. The chemical name for acetaminophen, USP is N-acetyl- p-aminophenol. Its structural formula is:. The molecular weight of acetaminophen, USP is 151.17. Amlodipine besylate's chemical name is 3-Ethyl-5-methyl(4RS)-2-[(2-aminoethoxy)methyl]-4-(2‑ chlorophenyl)-6-methyl-1,4-dihydropyridine-3,5-dicarboxylate benzenesulphonate; its structural formula is. Its empirical formula is C 20H 25ClN 2O 5C 6H 6O 3S and its molecular weight is 567.1. Valsartan is a nonpeptide, orally active, and specific angiotensin II antagonist acting on the AT 1receptor subtype. Valsartan is a white to practically white fine powder, soluble in ethanol and methanol and slightly soluble in water.
