"IndicationAndUsage": "NON-STANDARDIZED ALLERGENIC EXTRACTS are indicated for: 1 Skin test diagnosis of individuals with a clinical history of allergy to the specific corresponding allergens.",
"Description": "Non-standardized allergenic extracts are labeled “No U.S. Standard of Potency”. Non-standardized allergenic extracts are supplied in a Glycero Cocas extraction solution, which consists of 0.5% sodium chloride for isotonicity, 0.275% sodium bicarbonate as a buffer, and 50% glycerin (volume/volume) as preservative. Non-standardized allergenic extracts are supplied as a weight to volume (w/v) solution of allergen in extraction solution. Product concentrations vary based on the source. Refer to the vial label for the product concentration. Source material mold mycelia and Candida albicans cells are cultivated on liquid medium which may contain one or more of the following constituents: casein hydrolysate; malt extract; yeast extract; maltose; dextrose; ammonium nitrate, calcium carbonate, calcium chloride, ammonium citrate, potassium phosphate, sodium citrate, citric acid; magnesium sulfate; or trace elements. Acetone and ether may be used as drying and de-fatting agents. Candida albicans cells are treated with phenol, which is removed by dialysis. Dog Hair and Dander extracts are manufactured in 3 product forms: 1 Dog Hair and Dander (Regular Process) is derived from extraction of the source material without additional processing, and is prepared at 1:10 w/v in Glycero-Cocas., 2 Acetone Precipitated (AP) Dog Hair and Dander is derived from the acetone precipitated aqueous extract and is prepared at 1:100 w/v in Glycero-Cocas., 3 Ultrafiltered (UF) Dog Hair and Dander is derived from the UF aqueous extract and is prepared at 1:650 w/v in Glycero‑Cocas."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Allergenic extracts are indicated for use in diagnostic testing and as part of a treatment regime for allergic disease, as established by allergy history and skin test reactivity. Allergenic extracts are indicated for the treatment of allergen specific allergic disease for use as hyposensitization or immunotherapy when avoidance of specific allergens can not be attained. The use of allergenic extracts for therapeutic purpose has been established by well-controlled clinical studies. Allergenic extracts may be used as adjunctive therapy along with pharmacotherapy which includes antihistamines, corticosteroids, and cromoglycate, and avoidance measures. Allergenic extracts for therapeutic use should be given using only the allergen selection to which the patient is allergic, has a history of exposure and are likely to be exposed to again.",
"Description": "Allergenic extracts are sterile solutions consisting of the extractable components from various biological sources including pollens, inhalants, molds, animal epidermals and insects. Aqueous extracts are prepared using cocas fluid containing NaCl 0.5%, NaHCO3 0.0275%, WFI, preservative 0.4% Phenol. Glycerinated allergenic extracts are prepared with cocas fluid and glycerin to produce a 50% (v/v) allergenic extract. Allergenic Extracts are supplied as concentrations designated as protein nitrogen units (PNU) or weight/volume (w/v) ratio. Standardized extracts are designated in Bioequivalent Allergy Units (BAU) or Allergy Units (AU). (See product insert for standardized extracts). For diagnostic purposes, allergenic extracts are to be administered by prick-puncture or intradermal routes. Allergenic extracts are administered subcutaneously for immunotherapy injections."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Azithromycin tablets are a macrolide antibacterial drug indicated for the treatment of patients with mild to moderate infections caused by susceptible strains of the designated microorganisms in the specific conditions listed below. Recommended dosages and durations of therapy in adult and pediatric patient populations vary in these indications [see Dosage and Administration (2)].",
"Description": "Azithromycin tablets, USP contain the active ingredient azithromycin, USP a macrolide antibacterial drug, for oral administration. Azithromycin has the chemical name (2R,3S,4R,5R,8R,10R,11R,12S,13S,14R)-13-[(2,6-dideoxy-3-C-methyl-3-O-methyl-α-L-ribo-hexopyranosyl) oxy]-2-ethyl-3,4,10-trihydroxy-3,5,6,8,10,12,14-heptamethyl-11-[[3,4,6-trideoxy-3-(dimethylamino)-β-D-xylo-hexopyranosyl]oxy]-1-oxa-6-azacyclopentadecan-15-one. Azithromycin is derived from erythromycin; however, it differs chemically from erythromycin in that a methyl-substituted nitrogen atom is incorporated into the lactone ring. Its molecular formula is C 38H 72N 2O 12, and its molecular weight is 749. Azithromycin has the following structural formula:. Azithromycin as the dihydrate, is a white or almost white powder with a molecular formula of C 38H 72N 2O 122H 2O and a molecular weight of 785.02. Azithromycin tablets, USP are supplied for oral administration as pink modified capsule shaped, film-coated tablets containing azithromycin dihydrate equivalent to 500 mg azithromycin, USP and the following inactive ingredients: anhydrous dibasic calcium phosphate, croscarmellose sodium, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, sodium lauryl sulfate, lactose monohydrate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, triacetin and D&C Red #30 Aluminum Lake. FDA approved dissolution specification differs from the USP dissolution specification."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Herpes Zoster Infections: Acyclovir tablets are indicated for the acute treatment of herpes zoster (shingles). Genital Herpes: Acyclovir tablets are indicated for the treatment of initial episodes and the management of recurrent episodes of genital herpes. Chickenpox: Acyclovir tablets are indicated for the treatment of chickenpox (varicella).",
"Description": "Acyclovir is a synthetic nucleoside analogue active against herpesviruses. Acyclovir tablets are formulations for oral administration. Acyclovir is a white or almost white, crystalline powder with the molecular formula C8H11N5O3 and a molecular weight of 225.20. It is soluble in diluted hydrochloric acid; slightly soluble in water and insoluble in alcohol. The pka’s of acyclovir are 2.27 and 9.25. The chemical name of acyclovir is 2-amino-1,9-dihydro-9-[(2-hydroxyethoxy)methyl]-6H-purin-6-one; it has the following structural formula. Each acyclovir tablet intended for oral administration contains 400 mg and 800 mg of acyclovir. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch and sodium starch glycolate."

Standardized Grass Pollen Extracts include Standardized Bermuda Grass Pollen (Cynodon dactylon) at 10,000 BAU/mL, 0.5 % sodium chloride, 0.275 % sodium bicarbonate and 50 % glycerin by volume as a preservative and Standardized Kentucky Blue (June) Grass Pollen (Poa pratensis), Standardized Meadow Fescue Grass Pollen (Festuca elatior), Standardized Orchard Grass Pollen (Dactylis glomerata), Standardized Perennial Rye Grass Pollen (Lolium perenne), Standardized Redtop Grass Pollen (Agrostis alba), Standardized Sweet Vernal Grass Pollen (Anthoxanthum odoratum), and Standardized Timothy Grass Pollen (Phleum pratense) at 100,000 BAU/mL, 0.5 % sodium chloride, 0.275 % sodium bicarbonate, and 50 % glycerin by volume as a preservative. Inactive ingredients include 0.25% sodium chloride for isotonicity and 0.25% sodium bicarbonate as a buffer. Standardized Grass Pollen Extracts are administered percutaneously, intradermally and subcutaneously. Standardized Grass Pollen Extracts are clear light yellow to brownish solutions that are free of particulate matter. Standardized Grass Pollen Extracts are labeled in BAU/milliliter.
