"Description": "Rosuvastatin is a 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG CoA)-reductase inhibitor. The chemical name for rosuvastatin calcium is bis[(E)-7-[4-(4-fluorophenyl)-6-isopropyl-2-[methyl(methylsulfonyl)amino] pyrimidin-5-yl](3R,5S)-3,5-dihydroxyhept-6-enoic acid] calcium salt with the following structural formula:. The empirical formula for rosuvastatin calcium is (C22H27FN3O6S)2Ca and the molecular weight is 1,001.14. Rosuvastatin calcium USP is a white to off-white powder that is sparingly soluble in water and methanol, and slightly soluble in ethanol. Rosuvastatin calcium is a hydrophilic compound with a partition coefficient (octanol/water) of 0.13 at pH of 7.0. Rosuvastatin tablets, USP for oral use contain rosuvastatin 5 mg, 10 mg, 20 mg, or 40 mg (equivalent to 5.2 mg, 10.4 mg, 20.8 mg, and 41.6 mg rosuvastatin calcium) and the following inactive ingredients: crospovidone, dibasic calcium phosphate anhydrous, hypromellose, iron oxide red, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, titanium dioxide, and triacetin. Meets USP Dissolution Test-2."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Carefully consider the potential benefits and risks of hydrocodone bitartrate and ibuprofen tablets and other treatment options before deciding to use hydrocodone bitartrate and ibuprofen tablets. Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration consistent with individual patient treatment goals (see WARNINGS). Hydrocodone bitartrate and ibuprofen tablets are indicated for the short-term (generally less than 10 days) management of acute pain. Hydrocodone bitartrate and ibuprofen tablets are not indicated for the treatment of such conditions as osteoarthritis or rheumatoid arthritis.",
"Description": "Each hydrocodone bitartrate and ibuprofen tablet 7.5 mg/200 mg contains: Hydrocodone Bitartrate, USP ................................ 7.5 mg Ibuprofen, USP ...................................................... 200 mg. Hydrocodone bitartrate and ibuprofen is supplied in a fixed combination tablet form for oral administration. Hydrocodone bitartrate and ibuprofen combines the opioid analgesic agent, hydrocodone bitartrate, with the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory (NSAID) agent, ibuprofen. Hydrocodone bitartrate is a semisynthetic and centrally acting opioid analgesic. Its chemical name is 4,5α-epoxy-3-methoxy-17-methylmorphinan-6-one tartrate (1:1) hydrate (2:5). Its chemical formula is C18H21NO3C4H6O62½H2O, and the molecular weight is 494.50. Its structural formula is. Ibuprofen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent [nonselective COX inhibitor] with analgesic and antipyretic properties. Its chemical name is (±)-2-(p-isobutylphenyl) propionic acid. "IndicationAndUsage": "Imatinib mesylate tablet is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of: Newly diagnosed adult and pediatric patients with Philadelphia chromosome positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML) in chronic phase. (1.1) Patients with Philadelphia chromosome positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML) in blast crisis (BC), accelerated phase (AP), or in chronic phase (CP) after failure of interferon-alpha therapy. (1.2) Adult patients with relapsed or refractory Philadelphia chromosome positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL). (1.3) Pediatric patients with newly diagnosed Philadelphia chromosome positive acute lymphoblastic leukemia (Ph+ ALL) in combination with chemotherapy. (1.4) Adult patients with myelodysplastic/myeloproliferative diseases (MDS/MPD) associated with platelet-derived growth factor receptor (PDGFR) gene re-arrangements. (1.5) Adult patients with aggressive systemic mastocytosis (ASM) without the D816V c-Kit mutation or with c-Kit mutational status unknown. (1.6) Adult patients with hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES) and/or chronic eosinophilic leukemia (CEL) who have the FIP1L1-PDGFRα fusion kinase (mutational analysis or fluorescence in situ hybridization [FISH] demonstration of CHIC2 allele deletion) and for patients with HES and/or CEL who are FIP1L1-PDGFRα fusion kinase negative or unknown. (1.7) Adult patients with unresectable, recurrent and/or metastatic dermatofibrosarcoma protuberans (DFSP). (1.8) Patients with Kit (CD117) positive unresectable and/or metastatic malignant gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GIST). (1.9) Adjuvant treatment of adult patients following resection of Kit (CD117) positive GIST. (1.10).",
"Description": "Imatinib is a small molecule kinase inhibitor. Imatinib mesylate film-coated tablets are supplied as 100 mg and 400 mg tablets for oral administration. Each 100 mg tablet contains 119.50 mg of imatinib mesylate equivalent to 100 mg of imatinib free base. Each 400 mg tablet contains 478 mg of imatinib mesylate equivalent to 400 mg of imatinib free base. Imatinib mesylate is designated chemically as 4-[(4-Methyl-1-piperazinyl)methyl]-N-[4-methyl-3-[[4-(3-pyridinyl)-2-pyrimidinyl] amino]-phenyl] benzamide methanesulfonate and its structural formula is:. Imatinib mesylate is a white to off-white colored powder. Its molecular formula is C 29H 31N 7OCH 3SO 3H and its molecular weight is 589.7 g/mol. Imatinib mesylate is freely soluble in water. Inactive Ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hypromellose, magnesium stearate and microcrystalline cellulose. Tablet coating: hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, talc and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Levothyroxine sodium is used for the following indications. Hypothyroidism – As replacement or supplemental therapy in congenital or acquired hypothyroidism of any etiology, except transient hypothyroidism during the recovery phase of subacute thyroiditis. Specific indications include: primary (thyroidal), secondary (pituitary), and tertiary (hypothalamic) hypothyroidism and subclinical hypothyroidism. Primary hypothyroidism may result from functional deficiency, primary atrophy, partial or total congenital absence of the thyroid gland, or from the effects of surgery, radiation, or drugs, with or without the presence of goiter. Pituitary TSH Suppression – In the treatment or prevention of various types of euthyroid goiters (see WARNINGS and PRECAUTIONS), including thyroid nodules (see WARNINGS and PRECAUTIONS), subacute or chronic lymphocytic thyroiditis (Hashimoto’s thyroiditis), multinodular goiter (see WARNINGS and PRECAUTIONS) and, as an adjunct to surgery and radioiodine therapy in the management of thyrotropin-dependent well-differentiated thyroid cancer.",
"Description": "Levothyroxine sodium tablets, USP contains synthetic crystalline L-3,3’,5,5’-tetraiodothyronine sodium salt [levothyroxine (T 4) sodium]. Synthetic T 4 is identical to that produced in the human thyroid gland. Levothyroxine (T 4) sodium has an empirical formula of C 15H 10I 4N NaO 4 x H 2O, molecular weight of 798.86 g/mol (anhydrous), and structural formula as shown:."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Febuxostat tablets are a xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitor indicated for the chronic management of hyperuricemia in adult patients with gout who have an inadequate response to a maximally titrated dose of allopurinol, who are intolerant to allopurinol, or for whom treatment with allopurinol is not advisable. Limitations of Use:. Febuxostat tablets are not recommended for the treatment of asymptomatic hyperuricemia.",
"Description": "Febuxostat is a xanthine oxidase inhibitor. The active ingredient in febuxostat is 2-[3-cyano-4-(2-methylpropoxy) phenyl]-4-methylthiazole-5-carboxylic acid, with a molecular weight of 316.38. The empirical formula is C16H16N2O3S. The chemical structure is. Febuxostat is a non-hygroscopic, white crystalline powder that is freely soluble in dimethylformamide; soluble in dimethylsulfoxide; sparingly soluble in ethanol; slightly soluble in methanol and acetonitrile; and practically insoluble in water. The melting range is 205oC to 208oC. Febuxostat tablets for oral use contain the active ingredient, febuxostat, and are available in two dosage strengths, 40 mg and 80 mg. Inactive ingredients include hydroxypropyl cellulose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium croscarmellose. Febuxostat tablets are coated with Opadry II, green which contains FD&C blue #2/indigo carmine aluminum lake, iron oxide yellow, macrogol, polyvinyl alcohol-part. hydrolyzed, talc, and titanium dioxide."

"Description": "Pregabalin, USP is described chemically as (S)-3-(aminomethyl)-5-methylhexanoic acid. The molecular formula is C8H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 159.23. The chemical structure of pregabalin, USP is. Pregabalin, USP is a white to off-white powder with a pKa1 of 4.2 and a pKa2 of 10.6. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (octanol/ buffer) at pH 7.2 is -1.27. Pregabalin capsules are administered orally and are supplied as imprinted hard-shell capsules containing 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 225, and 300 mg of pregabalin, along with lactose monohydrate, maize starch, and talc as inactive ingredients. The capsule shells contain gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate and titanium dioxide. In addition, the red capsule shells contain red iron oxide.The imprinting ink contains black iron oxide, propylene glycol, potassium hydroxide and shellac."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Donepezil hydrochloride is indicated for the treatment of dementia of the Alzheimer’s type. Efficacy has been demonstrated in patients with mild, moderate, and severe Alzheimer's disease.",
"Description": "Donepezil hydrochloride is a reversible inhibitor of the enzyme acetylcholinesterase, known chemically as (±)-2,3-dihydro-5,6-dimethoxy-2-[[1-(phenylmethyl)-4-piperidinyl]methyl]-1H-inden-1-one hydrochloride. Donepezil hydrochloride is commonly referred to in the pharmacological literature as E2020. It has an empirical formula of C24H29NO3HCl and a molecular weight of 415.96. Donepezil hydrochloride is a white crystalline powder and is freely soluble in chloroform, soluble in water and in glacial acetic acid, slightly soluble in ethanol and in acetonitrile and practically insoluble in ethyl acetate and in n-hexane. Donepezil hydrochloride tablets, USP are available for oral administration in film-coated tablets containing 5, or 10 mg of donepezil hydrochloride USP . Inactive ingredients are lactose monohydrate, corn starch, microcrystalline cellulose, hydroxypropyl cellulose, and magnesium stearate. The film coating contains talc, polyethylene glycol, hypromellose and titanium dioxide. Additionally, the 10 mg tablet contains iron oxide yellow as a coloring agent."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Losartan Potassium tablets, USP are an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) indicated for: Treatment of hypertension, to lower blood pressure in adults and children greater than 6 years old. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions. (1.1) Reduction of the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. There is evidence that this benefit does not apply to Black patients. (1.2) Treatment of diabetic nephropathy with an elevated serum creatinine and proteinuria in patients with type 2 diabetes and a history of hypertension. (1.3).",
"Description": "Losartan potassium, USP is an angiotensin II receptor (type AT1) antagonist. Losartan potassium, a non-peptide molecule, is chemically described as 2-butyl-4-chloro-l-[(2'-(lH-tetrazol-5-yl)[1,1'-biphenyl]-4-yl]methyl]-lH-imidazole-5-methanol mono potassium salt.Its molecular formula is C22H22ClKN6O, and its structural formula is. Losartan potassium, USP is a white to off-white powder with a molecular weight of 461.01. It is freely soluble in water and slightly soluble in acetonitrile. Oxidation of the 5-hydroxymethyl group on the imidazole ring results in the active metabolite of losartan.Losartan potassium is available as tablets for oral administration containing either 25 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg of losartan potassium, USP and the following inactive ingredients: crospovidone, lactose monohydrate, low substituted hydroxy propyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and pregelatinized starch. The tablets are coated with Opadry White which contains carnauba wax, hypromellose and titanium dioxide.Losartan potassium tablets USP, 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg tablets contain potassium in the following amounts: 2.12 mg (0.054 mEq), 4.24 mg (0.108 mEq) and 8.48 mg (0.216 mEq), respectively.The botanical source for pregelatinized starch is corn starch."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Duloxetine delayed-release capsule is a serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) indicated for the treatment of the following conditions: 1 Major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults (1), 2 Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) in adults and pediatric patients 7 years of age and older (1), 3 Diabetic peripheral neuropathic Pain (DPNP) in adults (1), 4 Fibromyalgia (FM) in adults and pediatric patients 13 years of age and older (1), 5 Chronic musculoskeletal pain in adults (1).",
"Description": "Duloxetine delayed-release capsules, USP are selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor SNRI for oral administration. Its chemical designation is (+)-(S)-N-methyl-γ-(1-naphthyloxy)-2-thiophenepropylamine hydrochloride. The empirical formula is C18H19NOSHCl, which corresponds to a molecular weight of 333.88. The structural formula is. Duloxetine hydrochloride is a white to cream colored powder, which is soluble in methanol. Each capsule contains enteric-coated mini tablets of 20, 30, 40, or 60 mg of duloxetine (equivalent to 22.4, 33.7, 44.9 or 67.3 mg of duloxetine hydrochloride, respectively). These enteric-coated mini tablets are designed to prevent degradation of the drug in the acidic environment of the stomach. Inactive ingredients include ammonia solution, black iron oxide, croscarmellose sodium, FD & C Blue 2, gelatin, hypromellose, hypromellose phthalate, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, polysorbate 80, potassium hydroxide, pregelatinized starch, propylene glycol, shellac, sodium lauryl sulphate, talc, titanium dioxide and triethyl citrate. The 20 and 60 mg capsules also contain iron oxide yellow."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Trandolapril and verapamil hydrochloride extended-release tablets are indicated for the treatment of hypertension. This fixed combination drug is not indicated for the initial therapy of hypertension (see DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION). In using trandolapril and verapamil hydrochloride extended-release tablets, consideration should be given to the fact that an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor, captopril, has caused agranulocytosis, particularly in patients with renal impairment or collagen vascular disease, and that available data are insufficient to show that trandolapril does not have similar risk (see WARNINGS - Neutropenia/Agranulocytosis).",

"Description": "Solifenacin Succinate Tablets are a muscarinic receptor antagonist. Chemically, solifenacin succinate is butanedioic acid, compounded with (1S)-(3R)-1-azabicyclo[2.2.2]oct-3-yl 3,4-dihydro-1-phenyl-2(1H)iso-quinolinecarboxylate (1:1) having an empirical formula of C 23H 26N 2O 2C 4H 6O 4, and a molecular weight of 480.55. The structural formula of solifenacin succinate is:. Solifenacin succinate is a white to pale-yellowish-white crystal or crystalline powder. It is freely soluble at room temperature in water, glacial acetic acid, dimethyl sulfoxide, and methanol. Each Solifenacin Succinate tablet contains 5 or 10 mg of solifenacin succinate and is for oral administration. In addition to the active ingredient solifenacin succinate, each Solifenacin Succinate tablet also contains the following inactive ingredients: lactose monohydrate, pregelatinized starch, hypromellose 2910, magnesium stearate, triacetin, polyethylene glycol 3350 and titanium dioxide with yellow ferric oxide and red ferric oxide."

Niacin therapy is indicated as an adjunct to diet when the response to a diet restricted in saturated fat and cholesterol and other nonpharmacologic measures alone has been inadequate. : 1 Niacin extended-release tablets are indicated to reduce elevated TC, LDL-C, Apo B and TG levels, and to increase HDL-C in patients with primary hyperlipidemia and mixed dyslipidemia., 2 In patients with a history of myocardial infarction and hyperlipidemia, niacin is indicated to reduce the risk of recurrent nonfatal myocardial infarction., 3 In patients with a history of coronary artery disease (CAD) and hyperlipidemia, niacin, in combination with a bile acid binding resin, is indicated to slow progression or promote regression of atherosclerotic disease., 4 Niacin extended-release tablets in combination with a bile acid binding resin is indicated to reduce elevated TC and LDL-C levels in adult patients with primary hyperlipidemia., 5 Niacin is also indicated as adjunctive therapy for treatment of adult patients with severe hypertriglyceridemia who present a risk of pancreatitis and who do not respond adequately to a determined dietary effort to control them.",
"Description": "Niacin Extended-release Tablets, USP (niacin tablet, film-coated extended-release), contain niacin, which at therapeutic doses is an antihyperlipidemic agent. Niacin (nicotinic acid, or 3-pyridinecarboxylic acid) is a white, crystalline powder, very soluble in water, with the following structural formula. Niacin extended-release tablets are unscored, red, film-coated tablets for oral administration and are available in two tablet strengths containing 500 and 1000 mg niacin. Niacin extended-release tablets also contain the inactive ingredients black iron oxide, colloidal silicon dioxide, hydroxypropyl cellulose, lecithin, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, red iron oxide, sodium stearyl fumarate, talc, titanium dioxide, and yellow iron oxide. "Description": "Ibuprofen Tablets, USP contain the active ingredient ibuprofen, which is (±)-2-( p-isobutylphenyl) propionic acid. Ibuprofen is a white powder with a melting point of 74° to 77° C and is very slightly soluble in water (<1 mg/mL) and readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone. The structural formula is represented below. Ibuprofen Tablets, USP, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), is available in 400 mg, 600 mg, and 800 mg tablets for oral administration. Inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, pregelatinized starch, talc, stearic acid, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "INDICATIONS AND USAGE Hydrochlorothiazide tablets are indicated as adjunctive therapy in edema associated with congestive heart failure, hepatic cirrhosis, and corticosteroid and estrogen therapy. Hydrochlorothiazide has also been found useful in edema due to various forms of renal dysfunction such as nephrotic syndrome, acute glomerulonephritis, and chronic renal failure. Hydrochlorothiazide is indicated in the management of hypertension either as the sole therapeutic agent or to enhance the effectiveness of other antihypertensive drugs in the more severe forms of hypertension.",
"Description": "DESCRIPTION Hydrochlorothiazide, USP is a diuretic and antihypertensive. It is the 3,4-dihydro derivative of chlorothiazide. Its chemical name is 6-chloro-3,4-dihydro-2 H-1,2,4-benzothiadiazine-7-sulfonamide1,1-dioxide, and its structural formula is. C 7H 8ClN 3O 4S 2 M.W. 297.74. Hydrochlorothiazide, USP is a white, or practically white, crystalline powder, which is slightly soluble in water, but freely soluble in sodium hydroxide solution. Each tablet for oral administration contains 25 mg or 50 mg hydrochlorothiazide, USP. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, pregelatinized starch from corn, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and FD&C Yellow #6."

"Description": "Pregabalin is described chemically as (S)-3-(aminomethyl)-5-methylhexanoic acid. The molecular formula is C8H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 159.23. The chemical structure of pregabalin is. Pregabalin is a white to off-white, crystalline solid with a pKa1 of 4.2 and a pKa2 of 10.6. It is freely soluble in 1N Hydrochloric acid and sparingly soluble in water. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is – 1.35. Pregabalin Capsules are administered orally and are supplied as imprinted hard-shell capsules containing 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 200, 225, and 300 mg of pregabalin, along with pregelatinized starch and talc as inactive ingredients. The capsule shells contain gelatin, titanium dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate and water. In addition, the orange capsule shells (75 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg, 225 mg and 300 mg strengths) contain red iron oxide. Colloidal silicon dioxide is used as processing aid. The imprinting ink contains shellac, black iron oxide, propylene glycol, potassium hydroxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Bupropion hydrochloride extended-release tablets (XL) are an aminoketone antidepressant, indicated for: 1 treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD) ( 1.1) , 2 prevention of seasonal affective disorder (SAD) ( 1.2) .",
"Description": "Bupropion hydrochloride extended-release tablets (XL) (bupropion hydrochloride), an antidepressant of the aminoketone class, is chemically unrelated to tricyclic, tetracyclic, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor, or other known antidepressant agents. Its structure closely resembles that of diethylpropion; it is related to phenylethylamines. It is designated as (±)-1-(3-chorophenyl)-2-[(1,1-dimethylethyl)amino]-1-propanone hydrochloride. The molecular weight is 276.2. The molecular formula is C 13H 18ClNOHCl. Bupropion hydrochloride powder is white, crystalline, and highly soluble in water. It has a bitter taste and produces the sensation of local anesthesia on the oral mucosa. The structural formula is:. Bupropion hydrochloride extended-release tablets, USP (XL) are supplied for oral administration as 150 mg and 300 mg creamy-white to pale yellow round coated tablets imprinted with black ink on one side and plain on other side. Each tablet contains the labeled amount of bupropion hydrochloride and the inactive ingredients: ethyl alcohol, ethylcellulose, glyceryl dibehenate, isopropyl alcohol, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer dispersion, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, povidone, silicon dioxide, triethyl citrate. In addition, tablets are printed with black ink which contains ferrosoferric oxide, hypromellose, isopropyl alcohol and propylene glycol. The insoluble shell of the extended-release tablet may remain intact during gastrointestinal transit and is eliminated in the feces. FDA approved dissolution test specifications differ from USP."

The structural formula is the following and it is the racemic mixture. Mirtazapine is a white to creamy white crystalline powder which is practically insoluble in water. Mirtazapine tablets, USP are available for oral administration as scored film-coated tablets containing 15 or 30 mg of mirtazapine USP, and unscored film-coated tablets containing 7.5 or 45 mg of mirtazapine USP. Each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and titanium dioxide. In addition, the 15 mg contains iron oxide yellow and 30 mg contains iron oxide red, iron oxide black, and iron oxide yellow."
