"Description": "Montelukast sodium, the active ingredient in montelukast sodium tablets and montelukast sodium chewable tablets, is a selective and orally active leukotriene receptor antagonist that inhibits the cysteinyl leukotriene CysLT1 receptor.Montelukast sodium is described chemically as [R-(E)]-1-[[[1-[3-[2-(7-chloro-2-quinolinyl)ethenyl]phenyl]-3-[2-(1-hydroxy-1-methylethyl)phenyl]propyl]thio]methyl]cyclopropaneacetic acid, monosodium salt. The molecular formula is C35H35ClNNaO3S, and its molecular weight is 608.18. The structural formula is. Montelukast sodium USP is a hygroscopic, optically active, off-white to pale yellow colored powder. Montelukast sodium is freely soluble in ethanol, methanol, and water and practically insoluble in acetonitrile. Each 10 mg film-coated montelukast sodium tablet USP contains 10.38 mg montelukast sodium USP, which is equivalent to 10 mg of montelukast, and the following inactive ingredients: carnauba wax, croscarmellose sodium, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, iron oxide red, iron oxide yellow, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and titanium dioxide. Each 4 mg and 5 mg montelukast sodium chewable tablet USP contains 4.15 mg and 5.19 mg montelukast sodium USP, respectively, which are equivalent to 4 mg and 5 mg of montelukast, respectively. Both chewable tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: artificial cherry flavor, aspartame, croscarmellose sodium, ferric oxide, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, mannitol, and microcrystalline cellulose."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Pregabalin capsules are indicated for. Management of neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Management of postherpetic neuralgia. Adjunctive therapy for the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients 1 month of age and older. Management of fibromyalgia. Management of neuropathic pain associated with spinal cord injury.",
"Description": "Pregabalin is described chemically as ( S)-3-(aminomethyl)-5-methylhexanoic acid. The molecular formula is C 8H 17NO 2and the molecular weight is 159.23. The chemical structure of pregabalin is:. Pregabalin is a white to off-white, crystalline powder with a pK a1of 4.2 and a pK a2of 10.6. It is sparingly soluble in water. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is - 1.35. Pregabalin Capsules are administered orally and are supplied as imprinted hard-shell capsules containing 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg, 100 mg, 150 mg, 200 mg, 225 mg, and 300 mg of pregabalin, along with pregelatinized starch and talc as inactive ingredients. The capsule shells contain gelatin, titanium dioxide and sodium lauryl sulfate. In addition, the orange capsule shells (75 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg, 225 mg and 300 mg strengths) contain the colorants FD&C Blue 1, FD&C Red 40 and FD&C Yellow 6. The imprinting ink contains shellac, black iron oxide, propylene glycol, and potassium hydroxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Herpes Zoster Infections: Acyclovir tablets, USP are indicated for the acute treatment of herpes zoster (shingles).Genital Herpes: Acyclovir tablets, USP are indicated for the treatment of initial episodes and the management of recurrent episodes of genital herpes.Chickenpox: Acyclovir tablets, USP are indicated for the treatment of chickenpox (varicella).",
"Description": "Acyclovir is a synthetic nucleoside analogue active against herpesviruses. Acyclovir tablets, USP is a formulation for oral administration. Each Acyclovir Tablet contains 400 mg or 800 mg of acyclovir. In addition, each tablet contains the inactive ingredients colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone and sodium starch glycolate. The 400 mg and 800 mg tablet also contains ferric oxide and FD&C blue lake # 2 Indigo carmine AL, respectively.Acyclovir USP is a white to off white crystalline powder, slightly hygroscopic with the molecular formula C8H11N5O3 and a molecular weight of 225.20. The maximum solubility in water at 37°C is 2.5 mg/mL. The pka's of acyclovir are 2.27 and 9.25.The chemical name of acyclovir is 6H-Purin-6-one, 2-amino-1,9-dihydro-9-[(2-hydroxyethoxy)methyl]-. It has the following structural formula."

"Description": "Trazodone hydrochloride tablets, USP for oral administration contain trazodone hydrochloride, USP a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor and 5HT2 receptor antagonist. Trazodone hydrochloride, USP is a triazolopyridine derivative designated as 2-[3-[4-(3-chlorophenyl)-1-piperazinyl]propyl]-1,2,4-triazolo[4, 3-a]pyridin-3(2H)-one hydrochloride. It is a white, odorless crystalline powder which is freely soluble in water. The structural formula is represented as follows. C19H22CIN5O HCl M.W. 408.32. Each tablet, for oral administration, contains 50 mg, 100 mg or 150 mg of trazodone hydrochloride, USP. In addition, each tablet contains colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose anhydrous, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium starch glycolate."

"Description": "Warfarin sodium tablets contain warfarin sodium, an anticoagulant that acts by inhibiting vitamin K-dependent coagulation factors. The chemical name of warfarin sodium is 3-(α-acetonylbenzyl)-4-hydroxycoumarin sodium salt, which is a racemic mixture of the R- and S-enantiomers. Crystalline warfarin sodium is an isopropanol clathrate. Its empirical formula is C 19H 15NaO 4, and its structural formula is represented by the following:. Crystalline warfarin sodium occurs as a white, odorless, crystalline powder that is discolored by light. It is very soluble in water, freely soluble in alcohol, and very slightly soluble in chloroform and ether. Warfarin sodium tablets, USP for oral use also contain. All strengths: Anhydrous lactose, corn starch, and magnesium stearate."

"Description": "Pregabalin, USP is described chemically as (S)-3-(aminomethyl)-5-methylhexanoic acid. The molecular formula is C8H17NO2 and the molecular weight is 159.23. The chemical structure of pregabalin is. Pregabalin, USP is a white to off-white, crystalline solid with a pKa1 of 4.2 and a pKa2 of 10.6. It is freely soluble in water and both basic and acidic aqueous solutions. The log of the partition coefficient (n-octanol/0.05M phosphate buffer) at pH 7.4 is – 1.35. Pregabalin capsules are administered orally and are supplied as imprinted hard-shell capsules containing 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg, 100 mg, 150 mg, 200 mg, 225 mg, and 300 mg of pregabalin, USP along with pregelatinized starch, corn starch and talc as inactive ingredients. Capsule shells for 25 mg, 50 mg & 150 mg contains: gelatin & titanium dioxide. Capsule shells for 75 mg, 100 mg, 200 mg, 225 mg & 300 mg contains: gelatin, FD&C Blue No.1, FD&C Red No.40, FD&C Yellow No.6 and titanium dioxide. Imprinting ink contains: shellac, dehydrated alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, strong ammonia solution, black iron oxide, potassium hydroxide and purified water."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Progesterone capsules are indicated for use in the prevention of endometrial hyperplasia in nonhysterectomized postmenopausal women who are receiving conjugated estrogens tablets. They are also indicated for use in secondary amenorrhea.",
"Description": "Progesterone capsules contain micronized progesterone for oral administration. Progesterone has a molecular weight of 314.47 and a molecular formula of C 21H 30O 2. Progesterone (pregn-4-ene-3, 20-dione) is a white or creamy white, odorless, crystalline powder practically insoluble in water, soluble in alcohol, acetone and dioxane and sparingly soluble in vegetable oils, stable in air, melting between 126° and 131°C. The structural formula is:. Progesterone is synthesized from a starting material from a plant source and is chemically identical to progesterone of human ovarian origin. Progesterone capsules are available in multiple strengths to afford dosage flexibility for optimum management. Progesterone capsules contain 100 mg or 200 mg micronized progesterone and the following inactive ingredients: peanut oil, gelatin, glycerin, soya lecithin, titanium dioxide, and triglyderides medium chain."

Mirtazapine tablets, USP are available for oral administration as scored film-coated tablets containing 15 or 30 mg of mirtazapine USP, and unscored film-coated tablets containing 7.5 or 45 mg of mirtazapine USP. Each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and titanium dioxide. The strengths reflect citalopram base equivalent content. The 10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg strength tablets contain 12.49 mg, 24.98 mg, and 49.96 mg of citalopram hydrobromide, respectively. The 20 mg and 40 mg tablets are scored. "Description": "Metformin hydrochloride tablets, USP contain the antihyperglycemic agent metformin, which is a biguanide, in the form of monohydrochloride. The chemical name of metformin hydrochloride is N,N-dimethylimidodicarbonimidic diamide hydrochloride. The structural formula is as shown below:. Metformin hydrochloride, USP is a white to off-white crystalline compound with a molecular formula of C4H11N5 HCl and a molecular weight of 165.63. Metformin hydrochloride, USP is freely soluble in water and is practically insoluble in acetone, ether, and chloroform. The pKa of metformin is 12.4. The pH of a 1% aqueous solution of metformin hydrochloride is 6.68. Metformin hydrochloride tablets, USP contain 500 mg, 850 mg, or 1000 mg of metformin hydrochloride USP. Each tablet contains the inactive ingredients povidone and magnesium stearate. In addition, the coating for the 500 mg, 850 mg, and 1000 mg contains hypromellose and polyethylene glycol."

"Description": "Metformin hydrochloride tablets, USP contain the antihyperglycemic agent metformin, which is a biguanide, in the form of monohydrochloride. The chemical name of metformin hydrochloride is N,N-dimethylimidodicarbonimidic diamide hydrochloride. The structural formula is as shown below:. Metformin hydrochloride, USP is a white to off-white crystalline compound with a molecular formula of C4H11N5 HCl and a molecular weight of 165.63. The structural formula is the following and it is the racemic mixture. Mirtazapine is a white to creamy white crystalline powder which is practically insoluble in water. Mirtazapine orally disintegrating tablets, USP are available for oral administration as an orally disintegrating tablet containing 15 mg, 30 mg or 45 mg of mirtazapine USP. Mirtazapine orally disintegrating tablets, USP also contain the following inactive ingredients: aspartame, colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, natural and artificial peppermint flavor, and strawberry guarana flavor."
