"IndicationAndUsage": "Hypertension Quinapril tablets, USP are indicated for the treatment of hypertension, to lower blood pressure. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions. These benefits have been seen in controlled trials of antihypertensive drugs from a wide variety of pharmacologic classes including the class to which this drug principally belongs. There are no controlled trials demonstrating risk reduction with quinapril tablets, USP. Control of high blood pressure should be part of comprehensive cardiovascular risk management, including, as appropriate, lipid control, diabetes management, antithrombotic therapy, smoking cessation, exercise, and limited sodium intake. Many patients will require more than one drug to achieve blood pressure goals. For specific advice on goals and management, see published guidelines, such as those of the National High Blood Pressure Education Program's Joint National Committee on Prevention, Detection, Evaluation, and Treatment of High Blood Pressure (JNC). Numerous antihypertensive drugs, from a variety of pharmacologic classes and with different mechanisms of action, have been shown in randomized controlled trials to reduce cardiovascular morbidity and mortality, and it can be concluded that it is blood pressure reduction, and not some other pharmacologic property of the drugs, that is largely responsible for those benefits. The largest and most consistent cardiovascular outcome benefit has been a reduction in the risk of stroke, but reductions in myocardial infarction and cardiovascular mortality also have been seen regularly. Elevated systolic or diastolic pressure causes increased cardiovascular risk, and the absolute risk increase per mmHg is greater at higher blood pressures, so that even modest reductions of severe hypertension can provide substantial benefit. Relative risk reduction from blood pressure reduction is similar across populations with varying absolute risk, so the absolute benefit is greater in patients who are at higher risk independent of their hypertension (for example, patients with diabetes or hyperlipidemia), and such patients would be expected to benefit from more aggressive treatment to a lower blood pressure goal. "Description": "Quinapril hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt of quinapril, the ethyl ester of a non-sulfhydryl, angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, quinaprilat.Quinapril hydrochloride is chemically described as [3S-[2[R*(R*)], 3R*]]-2-[2-[[1-(ethoxycarbonyl)-3-phenylpropyl]amino]-1-oxopropyl]-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-3-isoquinolinecarboxylic acid, monohydrochloride. Its molecular formula is C25H30N2O5HCl and its structural formula is:. Quinapril hydrochloride USP is a white to off-white powder, with a pink cast at times that is freely soluble in aqueous solvents. Quinapril tablets, USP contain 5 mg (equivalent to 5.416 mg quinapril hydrochloride), 10 mg (equivalent to 10.832 mg quinapril hydrochloride), 20 mg (equivalent to 21.664 mg quinapril hydrochloride), or 40 mg (equivalent to 43.328 mg quinapril hydrochloride) of quinapril for oral administration. Elevated systolic or diastolic pressure causes increased cardiovascular risk, and the absolute risk increase per mmHg is greater at higher blood pressures, so that even modest reductions of severe hypertension can provide substantial benefit. Relative risk reduction from blood pressure reduction is similar across populations with varying absolute risk, so the absolute benefit is greater in patients who are at higher risk independent of their hypertension (for example, patients with diabetes or hyperlipidemia), and such patients would be expected to benefit from more aggressive treatment to a lower blood pressure goal. Some antihypertensive drugs have smaller blood pressure effects (as monotherapy) in black patients, and many antihypertensive drugs have additional approved indications and effects (e.g., on angina, heart failure, or diabetic kidney disease). These considerations may guide selection of therapy. Quinapril tablets, USP may be used alone or in combination with thiazide diuretics. Heart Failure Quinapril tablets, USP are indicated in the management of heart failure as adjunctive therapy when added to conventional therapy including diuretics and/or digitalis. In using quinapril tablets, USP consideration should be given to the fact that another ACE inhibitor, captopril, has caused agranulocytosis, particularly in patients with renal impairment or collagen vascular disease. Available data are insufficient to show that quinapril tablets, USP do not have a similar risk (see WARNINGS). Angioedema in black patients: Black patients receiving ACE inhibitor monotherapy have been reported to have a higher incidence of angioedema compared to non-blacks. It should also be noted that in controlled clinical trials ACE inhibitors have an effect on blood pressure that is less in black patients than in non-blacks.",
"Description": "Quinapril hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt of quinapril, the ethyl ester of a non-sulfhydryl, angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor, quinaprilat.Quinapril hydrochloride is chemically described as [3S-[2[R*(R*)], 3R*]]-2-[2-[[1-(ethoxycarbonyl)-3-phenylpropyl]amino]-1-oxopropyl]-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-3-isoquinolinecarboxylic acid, monohydrochloride. Its molecular formula is C25H30N2O5HCl and its structural formula is:. Quinapril hydrochloride USP is a white to off-white powder, with a pink cast at times that is freely soluble in aqueous solvents. Quinapril tablets, USP contain 5 mg (equivalent to 5.416 mg quinapril hydrochloride), 10 mg (equivalent to 10.832 mg quinapril hydrochloride), 20 mg (equivalent to 21.664 mg quinapril hydrochloride), or 40 mg (equivalent to 43.328 mg quinapril hydrochloride) of quinapril for oral administration. Each tablet also contains colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, iron oxide red, lactose monohydrate, magnesium carbonate, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, povidone, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Topiramate tablets are indicated as initial monotherapy in patients 10 years of age and older with partial onset or primary generalized tonic-clonic seizures. Effectiveness was demonstrated in a controlled trial in patients with epilepsy who had no more than 2 seizures in the 3 months prior to enrollment. Safety and effectiveness in patients who were converted to monotherapy from a previous regimen of other anticonvulsant drugs have not been established in controlled trials.",
"Description": "Topiramate is a sulfamate-substituted monosaccharide. Topiramate tablets are available as 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg, and 200 mg circular tablets for oral administration. Topiramate is a white crystalline powder with a bitter taste. Topiramate USP is most soluble in alkaline solutions containing sodium hydroxide or sodium phosphate and having a pH of 9 to 10. It is freely soluble in acetone, chloroform, dimethylsulfoxide, and ethanol. The solubility in water is 9.8 mg/mL. Its saturated solution has a pH of 6.3. Topiramate has the molecular formula C12H21NO8S and a molecular weight of 339.37. Topiramate is designated chemically as 2,3:4,5-Di-O-isopropylidene-β-D-fructopyranose sulfamate and has the following structural formula. Topiramate tablets contain the following inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate, magnesium stearate, purified water, polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol and talc. In addition, individual tablets contain. 50 mg tablets: iron oxide yellow100 mg tablets: iron oxide yellow, and D&C Yellow # 10 Aluminum Lake200 mg tablets: iron oxide red, lecithin (soya), and iron oxide black."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Zolpidem tartrate tablets are indicated for the short-term treatment of insomnia characterized by difficulties with sleep initiation. Zolpidem tartrate tablets have been shown to decrease sleep latency for up to 35 days in controlled clinical studies [see Clinical Studies (14)]. The clinical trials performed in support of efficacy were 4 to 5 weeks in duration with the final formal assessments of sleep latency performed at the end of treatment.",
"Description": "Zolpidem tartrate is a gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) A agonist of the imidazopyridine class and is available in 5 mg and 10 mg strength tablets for oral administration. Chemically, zolpidem is N,N,6-trimethyl-2-p-tolylimidazo[1,2-a] pyridine-3-acetamide L-(+)-tartrate (2:1). It has the following structure. Zolpidem tartrate is a white to off-white crystalline powder that is sparingly soluble in water, alcohol, and propylene glycol. It has a molecular weight of 764.88. Each zolpidem tartrate tablet includes the following inactive ingredients: hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, and titanium dioxide; the 5-mg tablet also contains FD&C Blue #2 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Red #40 Aluminum Lake, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, and talc; the 10-mg tablet also contains stearic acid and triacetin."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Anastrozole tablets are an aromatase inhibitor indicated for: 1 Adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer (1.1), 2 First-line treatment of postmenopausal women with hormone receptor-positive or hormone receptor unknown locally advanced or metastatic breast cancer (1.2), 3 Treatment of advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women with disease progression following tamoxifen therapy. Patients with ER-negative disease and patients who did not respond to previous tamoxifen therapy rarely responded to anastrozole tablets (1.3).",
"Description": "Anastrozole Tablets, USP for oral administration contain 1 mg of anastrozole, a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor. It is chemically described as 1,3-Benzenediacetonitrile, a, a, a', a'-tetramethyl-5-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-ylmethyl). Its molecular formula is C17H19N5 and its structural formula is. Anastrozole is an off-white powder with a molecular weight of 293.4. Anastrozole has moderate aqueous solubility (0.5 mg/mL at 25°C); solubility is independent of pH in the physiological range. Anastrozole is freely soluble in methanol, acetone, ethanol, and tetrahydrofuran, and very soluble in acetonitrile. Each tablet contains as inactive ingredients: hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, povidone, sodium starch glycolate and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Terazosin capsules are indicated for the treatment of symptomatic benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). There is a rapid response, with approximately 70% of patients experiencing an increase in urinary flow and improvement in symptoms of BPH when treated with terazosin capsules. The long-term effects of terazosin capsules on the incidence of surgery, acute urinary obstruction or other complications of BPH are yet to be determined. Terazosin capsules are also indicated for the treatment of hypertension. Terazosin capsules can be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive agents such as diuretics or beta-adrenergic blocking agents.",
"Description": "Terazosin hydrochloride, an alpha-1-selective adrenoceptor blocking agent, is a quinazoline derivative represented by the following chemical name,molecular formula and structural formula: (RS)-Piperazine, 1-(4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-quinazolinyl)-4-[(tetrahydro-2-furanyl)carbonyl]-, monohydrochloride.C19H26ClN5O4. Terazosin hydrochloride is a white, crystalline substance, freely soluble in water and isotonic saline and has a molecular weight of 423.93. Each capsule, for oral administration, contains 1 mg, 2 mg, 5 mg or 10 mg of terazosin as terazosin hydrochlolde. In addition, each capsule contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and pregelatinized starch. The gelatin capsule contains gelatin, silicon dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate, and titanium dioxide. The 1 mg shell also contains black iron oxide; the 2 mg capsule shell also contains D&C Yellow #10; the 5 mg capsule shell also contains D&C Yellow #10, FD&C Red #40 and D&C Red #28; the 10 mg capsule shell also contains FD&C Green #3 and D&C Yellow#10."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Trazodone Hydrochloride Tablets USP are indicated for the treatment of depression. The efficacy of Trazodone Hydrochloride Tablets USP has been demonstrated in both inpatient and outpatient settings and for depressed patients with and without prominent anxiety. The depressive illness of patients studied corresponds to the Major Depressive Episode criteria of the American Psychiatric Association’s Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, lll.a. Major Depressive Episode implies a prominent and relatively persistent (nearly every day for at least 2 weeks) depressed or dysphoric mood that usually interferes with daily functioning, and includes at least four of the following eight symptoms: change in appetite, change in sleep, psychomotor agitation or retardation, loss of interest in usual activities or decrease in sexual drive, increased fatigability, feelings of guilt or worthlessness, slowed thinking or impaired concentration, and suicidal ideation or attempts.",
"Description": "Trazodone Hydrochloride Tablets USP is an antidepressant chemically unrelated to tricyclic, tetracyclic, or other known antidepressant agents. Trazodone hydrochloride is a triazolopyridine derivative designated as 2-[3-[4-(3-chlorophenyl)-1-piperazinyl]propyl]-1, 2, 4-triazolo[4, 3-a]-pyridin-3(2H)-one hydrochloride. It is a white odorless crystalline powder which is freely soluble in water. The structural formula is represented as follows. Each tablet, for oral administration, contains 50 mg, 100 mg or 150 mg of trazodone hydrochloride, USP. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose anhydrous, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium starch glycolate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets are combination of dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride (HCl) extended-release, indicated as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Dapagliflozin, when used as a component of dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets, are indicated in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus to reduce the risk of: 1 Sustained eGFR decline, end-stage kidney disease, cardiovascular death, and hospitalization for heart failure in patients with chronic kidney disease at risk of progression., 2 Cardiovascular death, hospitalization for heart failure, and urgent heart failure visit in patients with heart failure., 3 Hospitalization for heart failure in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and either established cardiovascular disease (CVD) or multiple cardiovascular (CV) risk factors.",
"Description": "Dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets contain two oral antihyperglycemic medications used in the management of type 2 diabetes: dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride. Dapagliflozin. Dapagliflozin is described chemically as (2S, 3R, 4R, 5S, 6R)-2-(4-Chloro-3-(4-ethoxybenzyl)phenyl)-6-(hydroxymethyl) tetrahydro-2H-pyran-3,4,5-triol. The Structuralformula is C21H25ClO6 and the Molecular weight 408.88. The structural formula is. Metformin hydrochloride. Metformin hydrochloride (N,N-dimethylimidodicarbonimidic diamide hydrochloride) is a White fine powder with a molecular formula of C4H11N5HCl and a molecular weight of 165.62. Metformin hydrochloride is freely soluble in water, slightly soluble in alcohol, and is practically insoluble in acetone and in methylene chloride. The pKa of metformin is 11.5. The pH of a 5% aqueous solution of metformin hydrochloride is 6-7. The structural formula is. Dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets. Dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets is available for oral administration as tablets containing 5 mg dapagliflozin and 500 mg metformin hydrochloride (dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets 5 mg/500 mg), 5 mg dapagliflozin and 1000 mg metformin hydrochloride (dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets 5 mg/1000 mg), 10 mg dapagliflozin and 500 mg metformin hydrochloride (dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets 10 mg/500 mg) and 10 mg dapagliflozin and 1000 mg metformin hydrochloride (dapagliflozin and metformin hydrochloride extended-release tablets 10 mg/1000 mg). "IndicationAndUsage": "I. Stable Angina. Nicardipine hydrochloride capsules are indicated for the management of patients with chronic stable angina (effort-associated angina). Nicardipine hydrochloride capsules may be used alone or in combination with beta-blockers. II. Hypertension. Nicardipine hydrochloride capsules are indicated for the treatment of hypertension. Nicardipine hydrochloride capsules may be used alone or in combination with other antihypertensive drugs. In administering nicardipine hydrochloride it is important to be aware of the relatively large peak to trough differences in blood pressure effect (See DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION).",
"Description": "Nicardipine hydrochloride capsules for oral administration each contain 20 mg or 30 mg of nicardipine hydrochloride. Nicardipine hydrochloride capsules are a calcium ion influx inhibitor (slow channel blocker or calcium channel blocker). Nicardipine hydrochloride is a dihydropyridine structure with the IUPAC (International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry) chemical name 2-(benzyl-methyl amino)ethyl methyl 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl- 4-(m-nitrophenyl)-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate monohydrochloride, and it has the following structure. Molecular formula: C26H29N3O6 ● HCl. Nicardipine hydrochloride is a pale greenish-yellow, crystalline powder that melts at about 169°C. It is soluble in methanol, sparingly soluble in ethanol, slightly soluble in acetone, chloroform and water. It has a molecular weight of 515.99. Each capsule, for oral administration, contains 20 mg or 30 mg of nicardipine hydrochloride. In addition, each capsule contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate and pregelatinized starch with capsule shell composed of gelatin, titanium dioxide and FD&C blue #1. Imprinting ink composed of black iron oxide, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, shellac and strong ammonia solution."

"Description": "Amlodipine besylate is the besylate salt of amlodipine, a long-acting calcium channel blocker. Amlodipine besylate is chemically described as 3-Ethyl-5-methyl (±)-2-[(2-aminoethoxy)methyl]-4-(2-chlorophenyl)-1,4-dihydro-6-methyl-3,5-pyridinedicarboxylate, monobenzenesulphonate. Its empirical formula is C 20H 25CIN 2O 5C 6H 6O 3S, and its structural formula is:. Amlodipine besylate is a white crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 567.1. It is slightly soluble in water and sparingly soluble in ethanol. Amlodipine besylate tablets, USP are formulated as white tablets equivalent to 2.5, 5, and 10 mg of amlodipine for oral administration. In addition to the active ingredient, amlodipine besylate, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, corn starch, sodium starch glycolate and magnesium stearate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Buspirone hydrochloride tablets, USP are indicated for the management of anxiety disorders or the short-term relief of the symptoms of anxiety. Anxiety or tension associated with the stress of everyday life usually does not require treatment with an anxiolytic. The efficacy of buspirone hydrochloride tablets, USP has been demonstrated in controlled clinical trials of outpatients whose diagnosis roughly corresponds to Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD). Many of the patients enrolled in these studies also had coexisting depressive symptoms and buspirone hydrochloride tablets, USP relieved anxiety in the presence of these coexisting depressive symptoms. The patients evaluated in these studies had experienced symptoms for periods of 1 month to over 1 year prior to the study, with an average symptom duration of 6 months. Generalized Anxiety Disorder (300.02) is described in the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual, III1 as follows. Generalized, persistent anxiety (of at least 1 month continual duration), manifested by symptoms from three of the four following categories. Motor tension: shakiness, jitteriness, jumpiness, trembling, tension, muscle aches, fatigability, inability to relax, eyelid twitch, furrowed brow, strained face, fidgeting, restlessness, easy startle. Autonomic hyperactivity: sweating, heart pounding or racing, cold, clammy hands, dry mouth, dizziness, lightheadedness, paresthesias (tingling in hands or feet), upset stomach, hot or cold spells, frequent urination, diarrhea, discomfort in the pit of the stomach, lump in the throat, flushing, pallor, high resting pulse and respiration rate. Apprehensive expectation: anxiety, worry, fear, rumination, and anticipation of misfortune to self or others. Vigilance and scanning: hyperattentiveness resulting in distractibility, difficulty in concentrating, insomnia, feeling \"on edge,\" irritability, impatience. The above symptoms would not be due to another mental disorder, such as a depressive disorder or schizophrenia. However, mild depressive symptoms are common in GAD. The effectiveness of buspirone hydrochloride tablets, USP in long-term use, that is, for more than 3 to 4 weeks, has not been demonstrated in controlled trials. There is no body of evidence available that systematically addresses the appropriate duration of treatment for GAD. However, in a study of long-term use, 264 patients were treated with buspirone hydrochloride tablets, USP for 1 year without ill effect. Therefore, the physician who elects to use buspirone hydrochloride tablets, USP for extended periods should periodically reassess the usefulness of the drug for the individual patient.",
"Description": "Buspirone hydrochloride tablets, USP are an antianxiety agent that is not chemically or pharmacologically related to the benzodiazepines, barbiturates, or other sedative/anxiolytic drugs. Buspirone hydrochloride is a white crystalline, water soluble compound with a molecular weight of 421.96. Chemically, buspirone hydrochloride is N-[4-[4-(2-pyrimidinyl)-1-piperazinyl]butyl]-1,1-cyclopentanediacetamide monohydrochloride. The empirical formula C21H31N5O2HCl is represented by the following structural formula. [Image]. Each tablet, for oral administration, contains 5 mg, 10 mg, 15 mg or 30 mg of buspirone hydrochloride, USP (equivalent to 4.6 mg, 9.1 mg, 13.7 mg, and 27.4 mg of buspirone free base, respectively). The 5 mg and 10 mg tablets are scored so they can be bisected. Thus, the 5 mg tablet can also provide a 2.5 mg dose, and the 10 mg tablet can provide a 5 mg dose. The 15 mg tablets are scored such that they may be bisected or trisected. Thus, a single tablet can provide the following doses: 15 mg (entire tablet), 10 mg (two-thirds of a tablet), 7.5 mg (one-half of a tablet), or 5 mg (one-third of a tablet). The 30 mg tablets are scored such that they may be bisected or trisected. Thus, a single tablet can provide the following doses: 30 mg (entire tablet), 20 mg (two-thirds of a tablet), 15 mg (one-half of a tablet), or 10 mg (one-third of a tablet). Buspirone hydrochloride tablets, USP contain the following inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, and sodium starch glycolate."

Each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, and titanium dioxide. Citalopram hydrobromide is a racemic bicyclic phthalane structure and is designated (±)-1-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)-1-(4-fluorophenyl)-1,3-dihydroisobenzofuran-5-carbonitrile hydrobromide with the following structural formula. The molecular formula is C20H22BrFN2O and its molecular weight is 405.35.Citalopram hydrobromide USP occurs as a fine, white to off-white powder. Citalopram hydrobromide is sparingly soluble in water and soluble in ethanol. Citalopram tablets, USP are for oral administration and are available as film-coated round and capsule shaped tablets. The strengths reflect citalopram base equivalent content. The 10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg strength tablets contain 12.49 mg, 24.98 mg, and 49.96 mg of citalopram hydrobromide, respectively. The 20 mg and 40 mg tablets are scored. Inactive ingredients: copovidone, corn starch, croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, and titanium dioxide. Iron oxides are used as coloring agents in the peach (10 mg) and light pink (20 mg) tablets."

Sertraline hydrochloride tablets USP are supplied for oral administration as scored tablets contain 28 mg, 56 mg and 112 mg sertraline hydrochloride USP equivalent to 25 mg, 50 mg, and 100 mg of sertraline and the following inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, sodium starch glycolate, hydroxypropyl cellulose, dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol, and polysorbate 80.
