"IndicationAndUsage": "Paclitaxel Injection, USP is indicated as subsequent therapy for the treatment of advanced carcinoma of the ovary. As first-line therapy, Paclitaxel Injection, USP is indicated in combination with cisplatin. Paclitaxel Injection, USP is indicated for the adjuvant treatment of node-positive breast cancer administered sequentially to standard doxorubicin-containing combination chemotherapy. In the clinical trial, there was an overall favorable effect on disease-free and overall survival in the total population of patients with receptor-positive and receptor-negative tumors, but the benefit has been specifically demonstrated by available data (median follow-up 30 months) only in the patients with estrogen and progesterone receptor-negative tumors (see CLINICAL STUDIES, Breast Carcinoma). Paclitaxel Injection, USP is indicated for the treatment of breast cancer after failure of combination chemotherapy for metastatic disease or relapse within 6 months of adjuvant chemotherapy. Prior therapy should have included an anthracycline unless clinically contraindicated. Paclitaxel Injection, USP, in combination with cisplatin, is indicated for the first-line treatment of non-small cell lung cancer in patients who are not candidates for potentially curative surgery and/or radiation therapy. Paclitaxel Injection, USP is indicated for the second-line treatment of AIDS-related Kaposi's sarcoma.",
"Description": "Paclitaxel Injection, USP is a clear, colorless to slightly yellow viscous solution. It is supplied as a nonaqueous solution intended for dilution with a suitable parenteral fluid prior to intravenous infusion. Paclitaxel Injection, USP is available in 30 mg (5 mL), 100 mg (16.7 mL), and 300 mg (50 mL) multidose vials. Each mL of sterile nonpyrogenic solution contains 6 mg paclitaxel, USP, 527 mg of polyoxyl 35 castor oil, NF and 49.7% (v/v) dehydrated alcohol, USP and 2 mg citric acid, USP. Paclitaxel is a natural product with antitumor activity. Paclitaxel is obtained via a semi-synthetic process from Taxus baccata. The chemical name for paclitaxel is 5β,20-Epoxy-1,2α,4,7β, 10β,13α-hexahydroxytax-11-en-9-one 4,10-diacetate 2-benzoate 13-ester with (2R,3S)-N-benzoyl-3-phenylisoserine. Paclitaxel has the following structural formula. Paclitaxel, USP is a white to off-white crystalline powder with the empirical formula C 47H 51NO 14and a molecular weight of 853.9. It is highly lipophilic, insoluble in water, and melts at around 216° to 217°C."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Etoposide Injection USP is indicated in the management of the following neoplasms.",
"Description": "Etoposide (also commonly known as VP-16) is a semisynthetic derivative of podophyllotoxin used in the treatment of certain neoplastic diseases. It is 4'-demethylepipodophyllotoxin 9-[4,6-O-(R)-ethylidene-β-D-glucopyranoside]. It is very soluble in methanol and chloroform, slightly soluble in ethanol and sparingly soluble in water and ether. It is made more miscible with water by means of organic solvents. It has a molecular weight of 588.58 and a molecular formula of C29H32O13. Etoposide Injection USP is available for intravenous use as 20 mg/mL solution in 100 mg (5 mL), 500 mg (25 mL), and 1 g (50 mL) sterile, multiple-dose vials. The pH of the clear, colorless to pale yellow liquid is 3 to 4. Each mL contains 20 mg etoposide USP, 2 mg anhydrous citric acid, 30 mg benzyl alcohol, 80 mg polysorbate 80/tween 80, 650 mg polyethylene glycol 300, and 30.5 percent (v/v) dehydrated alcohol. Vial head space contains nitrogen. The structural formula is."

"Description": "Fluorouracil injection, USP a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor, is a colorless to faint yellow, aqueous, sterile, nonpyrogenic injectable solution available in 50 mL and 100 mL pharmacy bulk package, a sterile preparation that contains doses for multiple patients for intravenous administration. Each mL contains 50 mg fluorouracil in water for injection, USP. The pH is adjusted to approximately 9.2 with sodium hydroxide. Chemically, fluorouracil, a fluorinated pyrimidine, is 5-fluoro-2,4 (1H,3H)-pyrimidinedione. Its structural formula is. Molecular formula: C4H3FN2O2 Molecular weight: 130.08 g/mole."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Cisplatin injection is a platinum-based drug indicated for the treatment of. Advanced testicular cancer ( 1.1). Advanced ovarian cancer ( 1.2). Advanced bladder cancer ( 1.3).",
"Description": "Cisplatin injection USP, a platinum-based drug for intravenous use, is a clear, colorless to pale yellow, sterile aqueous solution. Each 50 mL or 100 mL amber vial of Cisplatin Injection, USP, contains: 1 mg/mL cisplatin USP, 9 mg/mL sodium chloride, hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide to adjust pH, and water for injection to a final volume of 50 mL or 100 mL, respectively. The pH range of Cisplatin Injection, USP, is 3.5 to 5.0. Cisplatin USP, the active ingredient in Cisplatin injection, is a yellow to orange crystalline powder with the molecular formula Cl 2H 6N 2Pt and a molecular weight of 300.05. Cisplatin USP is a heavy metal complex containing a central atom of platinum surrounded by two chloride atoms and two ammonia molecules in the cis position. It is soluble in water or saline at 1 mg/mL and in dimethylformamide at 24 mg/mL. It has a melting point of 207°C. The structural formula is."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Cyclophosphamide for Injection is an alkylating drug indicated for treatment of adults and pediatric patients with: 1 Malignant Diseases:malignant lymphomas: Hodgkin’s disease, lymphocytic lymphoma, mixed-cell type lymphoma, histiocytic lymphoma, Burkitt’s lymphoma; multiple myeloma, leukemias, mycosis fungoides, neuroblastoma, adenocarcinoma of ovary, retinoblastoma, breast carcinoma ( 1.1) , 2 Minimal Change Nephrotic Syndrome in Pediatric Patients: biopsy proven minimal change nephrotic syndrome patients who failed to adequately respond to or are unable to tolerate adrenocorticosteroid therapy ( 1.2) Limitations of Use: The safety and effectiveness for the treatment of nephrotic syndrome in adults or other renal disease has not been established. ( 1.2) .",
"Description": "Cyclophosphamide is a synthetic antineoplastic drug chemically related to the nitrogen mustards. The chemical name for cyclophosphamide is 2-[bis(2-chloroethyl)amino]tetrahydro-2H-1,3,2-oxazaphosphorine 2-oxide monohydrate, and has the following structural formula. Cyclophosphamide is a white crystalline powder with the molecular formula C 7H 15Cl 2N 2O 2PH 2O and a molecular weight of 279.1. Cyclophosphamide is soluble in water, saline, or ethanol. Cyclophosphamide for Injection, USP is a sterile white powder available as 500 mg, 1 g, and 2 g strength single-dose vials. : 1 500 mg vial contains 534.5 mg cyclophosphamide monohydrate equivalent to 500 mg cyclophosphamide, 2 1 g vial contains 1069 mg cyclophosphamide monohydrate equivalent to 1 g cyclophosphamide, 3 2 g vial contains 2138 mg cyclophosphamide monohydrate equivalent to 2 g cyclophosphamide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Etoposide Injection is indicated in the management of the following neoplasms.",
"Description": "Etoposide Injection, USP (also commonly known as VP-16) is a semisynthetic derivative of podophyllotoxin used in the treatment of certain neoplastic diseases. It is 4'-demethylepipodophyllotoxin 9-[4,6-0-(R)-ethylidene-β-D-glucopyranoside]. It is very soluble in methanol and chloroform, slightly soluble in ethanol, and sparingly soluble in water and ether. It is made more miscible with water by means of organic solvents. Etoposide Injection, USP is available for intravenous use as a sterile 20 mg per mL solution in 100 mg (5 mL), 500 mg (25 mL), or 1 g (50 mL) sterile, multiple dose vials. The pH of the clear, colorless to yellow solution is 3.0 to 4.0. Each mL contains: 20 mg etoposide, USP, 2 mg citric acid anhydrous, 80 mg polysorbate 80, 650 mg polyethylene glycol 300 (57.5% v/v and 65.0% w/v), and 262 mg dehydrated alcohol (33.2% v/v and 26.2% w/v). "Description": "Cyclophosphamide is an alkylating drug. It is an antineoplastic drug chemically related to the nitrogen mustards. The chemical name for cyclophosphamide is 2-[bis(2-chloroethyl)amino]tetrahydro-2H-1,3,2-oxazaphosphorine 2-oxide monohydrate, and has the following structural formula. Cyclophosphamide has a molecular formula of C 7H 15Cl 2N 2O 2PH 2O and a molecular weight of 279.1. Cyclophosphamide is soluble in water, saline, or ethanol. Cyclophosphamide for Injection, USP is a sterile white crystal or crystalline powder available as 500 mg, 1 g, and 2 g strength single-dose vials. 500 mg vial contains 534.5 mg cyclophosphamide monohydrate equivalent to 500 mg cyclophosphamide. 1 g vial contains 1069 mg cyclophosphamide monohydrate equivalent to 1 g cyclophosphamide. 2 g vial contains 2138 mg cyclophosphamide monohydrate equivalent to 2 g cyclophosphamide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Pramipexole dihydrochloride is a non-ergot dopamine agonist indicated for the treatment of: 1 Parkinson's disease (PD) (1.1), 2 Moderate-to-severe primary Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) (1.2).",
"Description": "Pramipexole dihydrochloride tablets contain pramipexole dihydrochloride (as a monohydrate). Pramipexole is a nonergot dopamine agonist. The chemical name of pramipexole dihydrochloride monohydrate is ( S)-2-amino-4,5,6,7-tetrahydro-6-(propylamino)benzothiazole dihydrochloride monohydrate. Its empirical formula is C10H17N3S·2HCl · H2O, and its molecular weight is 302.26. The structural formula is. Pramipexole dihydrochloride USP is a white to off-white powder substance. Melting occurs in the range of 296°C to 301°C, with decomposition. Pramipexole dihydrochloride USP is more than 20% soluble in water, about 8% in methanol, about 0.5% in ethanol, and practically insoluble in dichloromethane. Pramipexole dihydrochloride tablets, for oral administration, contain 0.125 mg, 0.25 mg, 0.5 mg, 0.75 mg, 1 mg, or 1.5 mg of pramipexole dihydrochloride monohydrate. Inactive ingredients consist of colloidal silicon dioxide, corn starch, ferric oxide red (0.25, 0.5 and 1 mg tablets), ferric oxide yellow (0.25 and 0.75 mg tablets), magnesium stearate, mannitol, povidone K-30 and pregelatinized maize starch. Pramipexole dihydrochloride tablets 0.125 mg:Each tablet contains 0.125 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride USP (in monohydrate form) equivalent to 0.118 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride (in anhydrous basis). Pramipexole dihydrochloride tablets 0.25 mg:Each tablet contains 0.25 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride USP (in monohydrate form) equivalent to 0.235 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride (in anhydrous basis). Pramipexole dihydrochloride tablets 0.5 mg:Each tablet contains 0.5 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride USP (in monohydrate form) equivalent to 0.47 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride (in anhydrous basis). Pramipexole dihydrochloride tablets 0.75 mg:Each tablet contains 0.75 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride USP (in monohydrate form) equivalent to 0.705 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride (in anhydrous basis). Pramipexole dihydrochloride tablets 1 mg:Each tablet contains 1 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride USP (in monohydrate form) equivalent to 0.94 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride (in anhydrous basis). Pramipexole dihydrochloride tablets 1.5 mg:Each tablet contains 1.5 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride USP (in monohydrate form) equivalent to 1.41 mg pramipexole dihydrochloride (in anhydrous basis)."

The blood pressure lowering effects of enalapril maleate tablets USP and thiazides are approximately additive. Heart Failure. Enalapril maleate tablets USP are indicated for the treatment of symptomatic congestive heart failure, usually in combination with diuretics and digitalis. In these patients enalapril maleate tablets USP improves symptoms, increases survival, and decreases the frequency of hospitalization (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY, Heart Failure, Mortality Trials for details and limitations of survival trials). Asymptomatic Left Ventricular Dysfunction. In clinically stable asymptomatic patients with left ventricular dysfunction (ejection fraction ≤35 percent), enalapril maleate tablets USP decreases the rate of development of overt heart failure and decreases the incidence of hospitalization for heart failure (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY, Heart Failure, Mortality Trials for details and limitations of survival trials). In using enalapril maleate tablets USP consideration should be given to the fact that another angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor, captopril, has caused agranulocytosis, particularly in patients with renal impairment or collagen vascular disease, and that available data are insufficient to show that enalapril maleate tablets USP does not have a similar risk (see WARNINGS, Neutropenia/Agranulocytosis). In considering use of enalapril maleate tablets USP, it should be noted that in controlled clinical trials ACE inhibitors have an effect on blood pressure that is less in black patients than in non-blacks. In addition, it should be noted that black patients receiving ACE inhibitors have been reported to have a higher incidence of angioedema compared to non-blacks (see WARNINGS, Head and Neck Angioedema).",

Its empirical formula is C20H28N2O5C4H4O4, and its structural formula is. Enalapril maleate is a white to off-white, crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 492.53. It is sparingly soluble in water, soluble in ethanol, and freely soluble in methanol. Enalapril is a pro-drug; following oral administration, it is bioactivated by hydrolysis of the ethyl ester to enalaprilat, which is the active angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor. Enalapril Maleate Tablets, USP are supplied as 2.5 mg, 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg tablets for oral administration. In addition to the active ingredient enalapril maleate, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: corn starch, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, pregelatinized starch, and sodium bicarbonate. Each 2.5 mg tablet contains D&C red #27 aluminum lake, D&C yellow #10 aluminum lake, FD&C blue #1 aluminum lake, FD&C red #40 aluminum lake, and FD&C yellow #6 aluminum lake.
