"Description": "Glyburide tablets USP contain glyburide, USP, which is an oral blood-glucose-lowering drug of the sulfonylurea class. Glyburide, USP is a white or almost white, crystalline powder. The chemical name for Glyburide, USP is 1-[[p-[2-(5-chloro-o-anisamido)ethyl]phenyl]-sulfonyl]-3-cyclohexylurea. It has the following structural formula. C23H28ClN3O5S M.W. 494.0. Each glyburide tablet, USP intended for oral administration contains 1.25 mg or 2.5 mg or 5 mg of Glyburide, USP. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: calcium carbonate, dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, povidone, pregelatinized starch and sodium starch glycolate. "IndicationAndUsage": "Sumatriptan injection is indicated in adults for (1) the acute treatment of migraine, with or without aura, and (2) the acute treatment of cluster headache. Limitations of Use: : 1 Use only if a clear diagnosis of migraine or cluster headache has been established. If a patient has no response to the first migraine or cluster headache attack treated with sumatriptan injection, reconsider the diagnosis before sumatriptan injection is administered to treat any subsequent attacks., 2 Sumatriptan injection is not indicated for the prevention of migraine or cluster headache attacks.",
"Description": "Sumatriptan injection USP contains sumatriptan succinate, a selective 5-HT1B/1D receptor agonist. Sumatriptan succinate is chemically designated as 3-[2-(dimethyl amino) ethyl]-N-methyl-indole-5-methanesulfonamide succinate (1:1), and it has the following structure. The molecular formula is C14H21N3O2SC4H6O4, representing a molecular weight of 413.5. Sumatriptan succinate is a white or almost white powder that is readily soluble in water and in saline. Sumatriptan injection USP is a clear, colorless to pale yellow, sterile, nonpyrogenic solution for subcutaneous injection. Each 0.5 mL of sumatriptan injection, 8 mg/mL contains 5.6 mg of sumatriptan succinate equivalent to 4 mg of sumatriptan and 3.8 mg of sodium chloride, USP in Water for Injection, USP. Each 0.5 mL of sumatriptan injection, 12 mg/mL contains 8.4 mg of sumatriptan succinate equivalent to 6 mg of sumatriptan and 3.5 mg of sodium chloride, USP in Water for Injection, USP. The pH range of both solutions is approximately 4.2 to 5.3. The osmolality of both injections is 291 mOsmol."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Lidocaine patch 5% is indicated for relief of pain associated with post-herpetic neuralgia. It should be applied only to intact skin.",
"Description": "Lidocaine patch 5% is comprised of an adhesive material containing 5% lidocaine, which is applied to a non-woven polyester felt backing and covered with a polyethylene terephthalate (PET) film release liner. The release liner is removed prior to application to the skin. The size of the patch is 10 cm x 14 cm. Lidocaine is chemically designated as acetamide, 2-(diethylamino)-N-(2,6-dimethylphenyl), has an octanol:water partition ratio of 43 at pH 7.4, and has the following structure:. Each adhesive patch contains 700 mg of lidocaine (50 mg per gram adhesive) in an aqueous base. It also contains the following inactive ingredients: purified water, glycerin, sorbitol, polyacrylic acid, sodium carboxymethylcellulose, sodium polyacrylate, propylene glycol, urea, kaolin, tartaric acid, gelatin, polyvinyl alcohol, dihydroxyaluminum aminoacetate, edetate disodium, methylparaben, and propylparaben."

"Description": "Dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride tablet contains dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride, a CNS stimulant. Dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride is the d-threo enantiomer of racemic methylphenidate hydrochloride. Dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride is available as 2.5 mg, 5 mg, and 10 mg strength tablets for oral administration. Chemically, dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride is methyl α-phenyl-2-piperidineacetate hydrochloride, (R,R’)-(+)-. Its molecular formula is C14H19NO2HCl. Its structural formula is. Note: * = asymmetric carbon centers. Dexmethylphenidate hydrochloride is a white to off-white powder. Its solutions are acid to litmus. It is freely soluble in water and in methanol, soluble in alcohol, and slightly soluble in chloroform and in acetone. Its molecular weight is 269.77 g/mol. Inactive ingredients: anhydrous lactose, citric acid anhydrous, colloidal silicon dioxide, D & C Yellow # 10 (5 mg tablets), Lake Pigment HT 5516 FD&C Blue # 1 (2.5 mg tablets), magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch and sodium starch glycolate; the 10 mg tablet contains no dye."

"Description": "Dimethyl fumarate delayed-release capsules contain dimethyl fumarate which is also known by its chemical name, dimethyl (E) butenedioate, (C 6H 8O 4). It has the following structure:. Dimethyl fumarate is a white to off white powder that is slightly soluble in dimethylformamide with a molecular mass of 144.13. Dimethyl fumarate is provided as hard gelatin delayed-release capsules for oral administration, containing 120 mg or 240 mg of dimethyl fumarate consisting of the following inactive ingredients: calcium silicate, colloidal silicon dioxide, croscarmellose sodium, gelatin, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer, methacrylic acid and methyl methacrylate copolymer, poloxamer, polysorbate 80, silicified microcrystalline cellulose, sodium bicarbonate, sodium lauryl sulfate, talc, titanium dioxide and triethyl citrate. In addition, the 120 mg capsules also contain FD&C Blue 1, iron oxide black and iron oxide yellow. The imprinting ink contains the following inactive ingredients: black iron oxide, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, shellac and strong ammonia solution."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Naproxen Tablets are indicated for: the relief of the signs and symptoms of: : 1 rheumatoid arthritis, 2 osteoarthritis, 3 ankylosing spondylitis, 4 polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis, 5 tendonitis, 6 bursitis, 7 acute gout.",
"Description": "Naproxen tablets, USP are nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and available as follows: Naproxen tablets, USP are available as light yellow round shaped tablets containing 250 mg naproxen, light yellow capsule shaped tablets containing 375 mg naproxen, and light yellow oblong shaped tablets containing 500 mg naproxen for oral administration. Naproxen is a propionic acid derivative related to the arylacetic acid group of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. The chemical name for naproxen is (S)-6-methoxy-α-methyl-2-naphthaleneacetic acid. Naproxen has a molecular weight of 230.26 and a molecular formula of C 14H 14O 3. It has the following structural formula:. Naproxen is white or almost white crystalline powder. It is insoluble in water, soluble in chloroform, dehydrated ethanol and methanol. Sparingly soluble in ether. The octanol/water partition coefficient of Naproxen at pH < 2.18 is 3.18. Each naproxen tablet, USP contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, yellow iron oxide, povidone and magnesium stearate."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride in 0.9% sodium chloride injection is a alpha2-adrenergic receptor agonist indicated for: Sedation of initially intubated and mechanically ventilated adult patients during treatment in an intensive care setting. Administer dexmedetomidine hydrochloride in 0.9% sodium chloride injection by continuous infusion not to exceed 24 hours. (1.1) Sedation of non-intubated adult patients prior to and/or during surgical and other procedures. (1.2). Sedation of non-intubated pediatric patients aged 1 month to less than 18 years prior to and during non-invasive procedures. (1.2).",
"Description": "Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride in 0.9% sodium chloride injection (4 mcg/mL) is a sterile, nonpyrogenic ready to use solution suitable for intravenous infusion. Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride in 0.9% sodium chloride injection contains dexmedetomidine hydrochloride as the active pharmaceutical ingredient. Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride is a central alpha2-adrenergic agonist. Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride is the S-enantiomer of medetomidine. Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride chemical name is 1H-Imidazole, 4-[1-(2,3-dimethylphenyl)ethyl]-, monohydrochloride, (S). Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride has a molecular weight of 236.7 and the empirical formula is C13H16N2 HCl and the structural formula is. Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride, USP is a white or almost white powder that is freely soluble in water and has a pKa of 7.1. Its partition coefficient in-octanol: water at pH 7.4 is 2.89. Dexmedetomidine hydrochloride in 0.9% sodium chloride injection is ready to be used. It is supplied as a clear, colorless, isotonic solution with a pH between 4.5 to 7.0. Each mL contains 4.72 mcg of dexmedetomidine hydrochloride, USP (equivalent to 4 mcg or 0.004 mg of dexmedetomidine) and 9 mg sodium chloride in water for injection. The solution is preservative-free and contains no additives or chemical stabilizers."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Timolol maleate ophthalmic solution is indicated in the treatment of elevated intraocular pressure in patients with ocular hypertension or open-angle glaucoma.",
"Description": "Timolol maleate ophthalmic solution, USP is a non-selective beta-adrenergic receptor blocking agent. Its chemical name is (-)-1-(tert-butylamino)-3-[(4-morpholino-1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl)oxy]-2-propanol maleate (1:1) (salt). Timolol maleate, USP possesses an asymmetric carbon atom in its structure and is provided as the levo-isomer. The optical rotation of timolol maleate is. 25°. [α] in 1.0N HCl (C = 5%) = -12.2° (-11.7° to -12.5°). 405 nm. Its molecular formula is C13H24N4O3SC4H4O4 and its structural formula is. Timolol maleate has a molecular weight of 432.50. It is a white to almost white crystalline powder which is soluble in water; sparingly soluble in ethanol; slightly soluble in chloroform; practically insoluble in ether. Timolol maleate ophthalmic solution is stable at room temperature. Timolol maleate ophthalmic solution, USP is supplied as a sterile, isotonic, buffered, aqueous solution of timolol maleate in two dosage strengths. Each mL of timolol maleate ophthalmic solution 0.25% contains 2.5 mg of timolol (3.4 mg of timolol maleate). The pH of the solution is approximately 7.0, and the osmolality is 270-330 mOsm/kg. Each mL of timolol maleate ophthalmic solution 0.5% contains 5 mg of timolol (6.8 mg of timolol maleate). Inactive ingredients: monobasic and dibasic sodium phosphate, sodium chloride, sodium hydroxide to adjust pH, and water for injection. Benzalkonium chloride 0.01% is added as preservative."

"Description": "Paroxetine tablets, USP contains paroxetine hydrochloride, an SSRI. It is the hydrochloride salt of a phenylpiperidine compound identified chemically as (-)-trans-4R-(4'-fluorophenyl)-3S-[(3',4'- methylenedioxyphenoxy) methyl] piperidine hydrochloride hemihydrate and has the molecular formula of C19H20FNO3HCl1/2H2O. The molecular weight is 374.8 (329.4 as free base). The structural formula of paroxetine hydrochloride is. Paroxetine hydrochloride, USP is an odorless, white to off-white crystalline powder, having a melting point range of 120°C to 138°C. It is freely soluble in methanol, soluble in ethanol, sparingly soluble in dichloromethane and slightly soluble in water. Paroxetine tablets are for oral administration. Each film-coated tablet contains 10 mg, 20 mg, 30 mg, or 40 mg of paroxetine equivalent to 11.1 mg, 22.2 mg, 33.3 mg or 44.4 mg of paroxetine hydrochloride, respectively. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: dibasic calcium phosphate anhydrous, hypromellose 6 cP, lactose anhydrous, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol 6000, povidone, sodium starch glycolate, talc, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Azathioprine tablets, USP are indicated as an adjunct for the prevention of rejection in renal homotransplantation. It is also indicated for the management of active rheumatoid arthritis to reduce signs and symptoms.",
"Description": "Azathioprine is an immunosuppressive antimetabolite. Each uncoated azathioprine tablet intended for oral administration contains 25 mg or 50 mg or 75 mg or 100 mg of azathioprine. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: croscarmellose sodium, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone and starch. Azathioprine is chemically 6-[(1-methyl-4-nitro-1H-imidazol-5-yl)thio]-1H-purine. The structural formula of azathioprine is. It is an imidazolyl derivative of 6-mercaptopurine and many of its biological effects are similar to those of the parent compound. Azathioprine, USP is a pale yellow, odorless powder. It is insoluble in water, soluble in dilute solutions of alkali hydroxides, sparingly soluble in dilute mineral acids, very slightly soluble in alcohol and in chloroform. The sodium salt of azathioprine is sufficiently soluble to make a 10 mg/mL water solution which is stable for 24 hours at 59° to 77°F (15° to 25°C). Azathioprine is stable in solution at neutral or acid pH but hydrolysis to mercaptopurine occurs in excess sodium hydroxide (0.1N), especially on warming. Conversion to mercaptopurine also occurs in the presence of sulfhydryl compounds such as cysteine, glutathione, and hydrogen sulfide."

"Description": "Topiramate is a sulfamate-substituted monosaccharide. Topiramate tablets, USP are available as 25 mg, 50 mg, 100 mg, and 200 mg round tablets for oral administration. Topiramate capsules, USP are available as 15 mg, 25 mg and 50 mg sprinkle capsules for oral administration as whole capsules or opened and sprinkled onto soft food. Topiramate, USP is a white to off-white crystalline powder with bitter taste. It is freely soluble in dichloromethane. Topiramate has the molecular formula C12H21NO8S and a molecular weight of 339.36. Topiramate is designated chemically as 2,3:4,5-Di-O-isopropylidene-β-D-fructopyranose sulfamate and has the following structural formula. Each topiramate tablet,USP intended for oral administration contains 25 mg or 50 mg or 100 mg or 200 mg of topiramate. In addition, each tablet contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, hypromellose, lactose anhydrous, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, sodium starch glycolate, talc and titanium dioxide. Each topiramate capsule, USP intended for oral administration contains 15 mg or 25 mg or 50 mg of topiramate. In addition, each capsule contains the following inactive ingredients: cellulose acetate, gelatin, hypromellose, povidone, sodium lauryl sulfate, sugar spheres, talc, titanium dioxide and water.
