"Description": "Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human), PANZYGA, is a solvent/detergent (S/D)-treated, sterile preparation of highly purified immunoglobulin G (IgG) derived from large pools of human plasma. PANZYGA is a solution for infusion to be administered intravenously. This preparation contains approximately 100 mg of protein per mL (10%), of which not less than 96% is normal human immunoglobulin G. PANZYGA contains not more than 3% aggregates, not less than 90% monomers and dimers, and not more than 3% fragments. On average, the product contains 100 µg/mL of IgA, and lower amounts of IgM. PANZYGA contains only trace amounts of sodium, and the pH is between 4.5 and 5.0. The osmolality is in the range of 240-310 mosmol/kg. The manufacturing process for PANZYGA isolates IgG without additional chemical or enzymatic modification, and the Fc portion is maintained intact. PANZYGA contains the IgG antibody activities present in the donor population. IgG subclasses are fully represented with the following approximate percents of total IgG: IgG 1 is 65%, IgG 2 is 28%, IgG 3 is 3% and IgG 4 is 4%. PANZYGA contains a broad spectrum of IgG antibodies against bacterial and viral agents that are capable of opsonization and neutralization of microbes and toxins. PANZYGA contains glycine (15.0-19.5 mg/mL), but no preservatives or sucrose. All units of human plasma used in the manufacture of PANZYGA are provided by FDA-approved blood and plasma establishments, and are tested by FDA-licensed serological tests for HBsAg, antibodies to HCV and HIV and Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) for HCV and HIV1 and found to be non-reactive (negative). The product is manufactured by the cold ethanol fractionation process followed by purification methodologies, as well as S/D treatment and nanofiltration (20 nm). The S/D mixture used is composed of tri-n-butyl phosphate (TNBP, solvent) and Triton X-100 (Octoxynol, detergent). The PANZYGA manufacturing process shows significant viral reduction and inactivation, demonstrated by in vitro infectivity studies ( Table 4 ). The virus safety of PANZYGA is achieved through a combination of various process steps, including S/D treatment, ion-exchange chromatography, and nanofiltration (20 nm). Table 4 shows the virus clearance during the manufacturing process for PANZYGA, expressed as the mean log 10 reduction factor (LRF). Table 4: Virus Reduction by PANZYGA Manufacturing Process. Additionally, the manufacturing process was investigated for its capacity to decrease the infectivity of an experimental agent of transmissible spongiform encephalopathy (TSE), considered as a model for the vCJD and CJD agents. [ 10 ]. Several of the individual production steps in the PANZYGA manufacturing process were shown to decrease TSE infectivity of that experimental model agent. TSE reduction steps include ion-exchange chromatography and nanofiltration, which together give a total of at least 10.4 log10 decrease of infectivity. These studies provide reasonable assurance that low levels of CJD/vCJD agent infectivity, if present in the starting material, would be removed."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Octagam is an immune globulin intravenous (human), 5% liquid, indicated for treatment of primary humoral immunodeficiency (PI) ( 1 ).",
"Description": "Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human), Octagam 5% liquid, is a solvent/detergent (S/D)-treated, sterile preparation of highly purified immunoglobulin G (IgG) derived from large pools of human plasma. Octagam 5% liquid is a solution for infusion which must be administered intravenously. All units of human plasma used in the manufacture of Octagam 5% liquid are provided by FDA-approved blood establishments only, and are tested by FDA-licensed serological tests for HBsAg, antibodies to HCV and HIV and Nucleic Acid Test (NAT) for HCV and HIV-1 and found to be non-reactive (negative). The product is manufactured by the cold ethanol fractionation process followed by ultrafiltration and chromatography. The manufacturing process includes treatment with an organic S/D mixture composed of tri-n-butyl phosphate (TNBP) and Triton X-100 (Octoxynol). The Octagam 5% liquid manufacturing process provides a significant viral reduction in in vitro studies (Table 3). These reductions are achieved through a combination of process steps including cold ethanol fractionation, S/D treatment and pH 4 treatment. Table 3: In vitro reduction factor during Octagam 5% liquid manufacturing. *not calculated for global LRF. HIV-1: Human Immunodeficiency Virus - 1. PRV: Pseudorabies Virus. SBV: Sindbis Virus. MEV: Mouse Encephalomyelitis Virus. PPV: Porcine Parvovirus."

"IndicationAndUsage": "NUWIQ is a recombinant antihemophilic factor [blood coagulation factor VIII (Factor VIII)] indicated in pediatric and adult patients with Hemophilia A for: 1 On-demand treatment and control of bleeding episodes, 2 Perioperative management of bleeding, 3 Routine prophylaxis to reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes.",
"Description": "NUWIQ, Antihemophilic Factor (Recombinant), is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, lyophilized powder for reconstitution for intravenous injection. The product is supplied in single-dose vials containing nominal Factor VIII potencies of 250, 500, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, 3000 or 4000 IU. When reconstituted with 2.5 mL of solvent (Sterile Water for Injection), the respective nominal concentrations are 100, 200, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200 or 1600 IU/mL. The reconstituted product contains the following excipients per mL: 18 mg sodium chloride, 5.4 mg sucrose, 5.4 mg L-arginine hydrochloride, 0.3 mg calcium chloride dihydrate, 1.2 mg poloxamer 188, and 1.2 mg sodium citrate dihydrate. The concentration of each of the excipients is the same for all potencies. NUWIQ contains no preservatives. Each vial of NUWIQ is labeled with the actual Factor VIII potency expressed in IU determined using one-stage clotting assay, using a reference material calibrated against a World Health Organization (WHO) International Standard for Factor VIII concentrates. One IU, as defined by the WHO standard for human Factor VIII concentrates, is approximately equal to the level of Factor VIII activity in 1 mL of fresh pooled, normal, human plasma. The mean specific activity of NUWIQ is 8124 IU/mg total protein. B-domain deleted recombinant coagulation Factor VIII (BDD-rFVIII) is the active ingredient in NUWIQ. BDD-rFVIII is a recombinant glycoprotein (a heterodimer) with an approximate molecular mass of 170 kDa, comprising the Factor VIII domains A1-A2 (so-called heavy chain of ~90 kDa) and A3-C1-C2 (so-called light chain of ~80 kDa), whereas the B-domain, present in the full-length plasma-derived Factor VIII, has been deleted. The purified protein consists of 1440 amino acids. The amino acid sequence is comparable to the B-domain deleted form of human plasma Factor VIII (90 + 80 kDa). BDD-rFVIII is produced by recombinant DNA technology in genetically modified human embryonic kidney (HEK) 293F cells with no animal or human derived materials added during the manufacturing process or to the final product. As NUWIQ is produced using a human cell-line, it contains post-translational modifications comparable to human plasma-derived Factor VIII and is devoid of Neu5Gc or α-1,3-Gal epitopes that may be present in products produced in animal cells. Furthermore, BDD-rFVIII is fully sulfated at Tyr1680. The active substance is concentrated and purified by a series of chromatography steps, which also includes two dedicated viral clearance steps: solvent/detergent (S/D) treatment for virus inactivation and 20 nm nanofiltration for removal of viruses."

Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human), PANZYGA, is a solvent/detergent (S/D)-treated, sterile preparation of highly purified immunoglobulin G (IgG) derived from large pools of human plasma. HIV-1: Human Immunodeficiency Virus – 1, a model for HIV-1 and HIV-2;. PRV: Pseudorabies Virus, a model for large enveloped DNA viruses (e.g., herpes virus);. PPV: Porcine Parvovirus, a model for Human Parvovirus B19;. n.a.: not applicable;. n.d: not done. These studies provide reasonable assurance that low levels of CJD/vCJD agent infectivity, if present in the starting material, would be removed.

<IndicationAndUsage>Octagam is an immune globulin intravenous (human), 5% liquid, indicated for treatment of primary humoral immunodeficiency (PI) ( 1 ).</IndicationAndUsage>

Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human), Octagam 5% liquid, is a solvent/detergent (S/D)-treated, sterile preparation of highly purified immunoglobulin G (IgG) derived from large pools of human plasma. <IndicationAndUsage>NUWIQ is a recombinant antihemophilic factor [blood coagulation factor VIII (Factor VIII)] indicated in pediatric and adult patients with Hemophilia A for: 1 On-demand treatment and control of bleeding episodes, 2 Perioperative management of bleeding, 3 Routine prophylaxis to reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes.</IndicationAndUsage>

NUWIQ, Antihemophilic Factor (Recombinant), is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, lyophilized powder for reconstitution for intravenous injection. The active substance is concentrated and purified by a series of chromatography steps, which also includes two dedicated viral clearance steps: solvent/detergent (S/D) treatment for virus inactivation and 20 nm nanofiltration for removal of viruses.

The active substance is concentrated and purified by a series of chromatography steps, which also includes two dedicated viral clearance steps: solvent/detergent (S/D) treatment for virus inactivation and 20 nm nanofiltration for removal of viruses.

<IndicationAndUsage>ALBUMIN (HUMAN) 5% is indicated for the restoration and maintenance of circulating blood volume for. Hypovolemia. ( 1.1 ). Hypoalbuminemia. ( 1.2 ). Prevention of central volume depletion after paracentesis due to cirrhotic ascites. ( 1.3 ).</IndicationAndUsage>

ALBUMIN (HUMAN) 5% is a sterile, liquid preparation of albumin derived from large pools of human plasma. All units of human plasma used in the manufacture of ALBUMIN (HUMAN) 5% are provided by FDA approved blood establishments only. The product is manufactured by cold ethanol fractionation followed by ultra- and diafiltration. The manufacturing process includes final container pasteurization and additional bulk pasteurization at 60 +/- 0.5°C for 10 – 11 hours. The ALBUMIN (HUMAN) 5% manufacturing process provides a significant viral reduction in in vitro studies (table 2). These reductions are achieved through a combination of process steps including cold ethanol fractionation and final container pasteurization. No procedure, however, has been shown to be completely effective in removing viral infectivity from derivatives of human plasma. [see Warnings and Precautions, Infection Risk from Human Plasma (5.7)]. Table 2 In vitro reduction factor during ALBUMIN (HUMAN) 5% manufacturing. PRV: Pseudorabies Virus. SBV: Sindbis Virus. HIV-1: Human Immunodeficiency Virus - 1. Reo 3: Reovirus Type 3. PPV: Porcine Parvovirus. HAV: Hepatitis A Virus. ALBUMIN (HUMAN) 5% is a clear, slightly viscous liquid; it is almost colorless or slightly yellow or green. The composition of ALBUMIN (HUMAN) 5% is as follows. ALBUMIN (HUMAN) 5% contains no preservatives and components used in its packaging are latex-free.
