"IndicationAndUsage": "TRESIBA is indicated to improve glycemic control in patients 1 year of age and older with diabetes mellitus. Limitations of Use: 1 Not recommended for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis.",
"Description": "Insulin degludec is a long-acting basal human insulin analog for subcutaneous injection produced by a process that includes expression of recombinant DNA in Saccharomyces cerevisiae followed by chemical modification. Insulin degludec differs from human insulin in that the amino acid threonine in position B30 has been omitted and a side-chain consisting of glutamic acid and a C16 fatty acid has been attached (chemical name: LysB29(Nε-hexadecandioyl-γ-Glu) des(B30) human insulin). Insulin degludec has a molecular formula of C274H411N65O81S6 and a molecular weight of 6.104 kDa. It has the following structure. Figure 1: Structural Formula of Insulin Degludec. TRESIBA (insulin degludec) injection is a sterile, aqueous, clear, and colorless solution available as 100 units/mL (U-100) or 200 units/mL (U-200) for subcutaneous use. For the 100 units/mL solution, each mL contains 100 units of insulin degludec and glycerin (19.6 mg), metacresol (1.72 mg), phenol (1.5 mg), zinc (32.7 mcg), and Water for Injection, USP. For the 200 units/mL solution, each mL contains 200 units of insulin degludec and glycerin (19.6 mg), metacresol (1.72 mg), phenol (1.5 mg), zinc (71.9 mcg), and Water for Injection, USP. TRESIBA has a pH of approximately 7.6. Hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide may be added to adjust pH."

"Description": "Wixela Inhub® 100/50, Wixela Inhub® 250/50, and Wixela Inhub® 500/50 are combinations of fluticasone propionate and salmeterol xinafoate. One active component of Wixela Inhub® is fluticasone propionate, a corticosteroid having the chemical name S-Fluoromethyl 6α,9α-difluoro-11β-hydroxy-16α-methyl-3-oxo-17α-propionyloxyandrosta-1,4-diene-17β-carbothioate and the following chemical structure. Fluticasone propionate, USP is a white to almost white powder with a molecular weight of 500.6, and the empirical formula is C25H31F3O5S. It is practically insoluble in water, freely soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide and dimethylformamide, and slightly soluble in methanol and 95% ethanol. The other active component of Wixela Inhub® is salmeterol xinafoate, a beta2-adrenergic bronchodilator. Salmeterol xinafoate is the racemic form of the 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoic acid salt of salmeterol. It has the chemical name (±)-4-Hydroxy-α1-[[[6-(4-phenylbutoxy)hexyl]amino]methyl]-m-xylene-α,α'-diol 1-hydroxy-2-naphthoate (salt) and the following chemical structure. Salmeterol xinafoate, USP is a white to almost white powder with a molecular weight of 603.8, and the empirical formula is C25H37NO4C11H8O3. It is freely soluble in methanol; slightly soluble in ethanol, chloroform, and isopropanol; and sparingly soluble in water. Wixela Inhub® is a grey colored plastic inhaler containing two foil sealed discs, each disc containing 30 pre-metered doses. Each of the 60 doses contains a white to off white powder mix of micronized fluticasone propionate (100, 250, or 500 mcg) and micronized salmeterol xinafoate salt (72.5 mcg, equivalent to 50 mcg of salmeterol base) in 12.5 mg of formulation containing lactose monohydrate (which contains milk proteins). After the inhaler is activated, the powder is dispersed into the airstream created by the patient inhaling through the mouthpiece. Under standardized in vitro test conditions, Wixela Inhub® delivers 93, 233, and 465 mcg of fluticasone propionate and 45 mcg of salmeterol base per dose from Wixela Inhub® 100/50, Wixela Inhub® 250/50, and Wixela Inhub® 500/50, respectively, when tested at a flow rate of 60 L/min for 2 seconds. In adult subjects with obstructive lung disease and severely compromised lung function (mean FEV1 20% to 30% of predicted), mean peak inspiratory flow (PIF) through another dry powder inhaler was 82.4 L/min (range: 46.1 to 115.3 L/min). Inhalation profiles for adolescent (N = 13, aged 12 to 17 years) and adult (N = 17, aged 18 to 50 years) subjects with asthma inhaling maximally through another dry powder inhaler show mean PIF of 122.2 L/min (range: 81.6 to 152.1 L/min). Inhalation profiles for pediatric subjects with asthma inhaling maximally through another dry powder inhaler show a mean PIF of 75.5 L/min (range: 49.0 to 104.8 L/min) for the 4-year-old subject set (N = 20) and 107.3 L/min (range: 82.8 to 125.6 L/min) for the 8-year-old subject set (N = 20). The actual amount of drug delivered to the lung will depend on patient factors, such as inspiratory flow profile. Meets USP Aerodynamic Particle Size Distribution Test 2."

"IndicationAndUsage": "ANTHRASIL is an Anthrax Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human) indicated for the treatment of inhalational anthrax in adult and pediatric patients in combination with appropriate antibacterial drugs. The effectiveness of ANTHRASIL is based solely on efficacy studies conducted in animal models of inhalational anthrax [See 13.2 Animal Toxicology and/or Pharmacology]. Limitations: 1 ANTHRASIL does not have direct antibacterial activity., 2 ANTHRASIL does not cross the blood-brain barrier and does not prevent or treat meningitis., 3 There have been no studies of ANTHRASIL in the pediatric, geriatric, or obese populations.",
"Description": "ANTHRASIL, Anthrax Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human), is a sterile solution of purified human immune globulin G (IgG) containing polyclonal antibodies that bind the protective antigen (PA) component of Bacillus anthracis lethal and edema toxins. It is stabilized with 10% maltose and 0.03% polysorbate 80 (pH is between 5.0 and 6.5) and contains no preservative. The product is a clear or slightly opalescent colorless liquid, free of foreign particles, supplied in a 50 mL vial with variable fill volume. The total protein concentration ranges from 40 to 70 mg per mL. An adult dosage of 420 units (seven vials) of ANTHRASIL contains up to 0.368 g protein per kg body weight, and an adult dosage of 840 units (14 vials) contains up to 0.736 g protein per kg body weight. The protein load exposure to pediatric patients due to ANTHRASIL administration may range from 0.32 to 1.26 g per kg of body weight, depending on the weight-based pediatric dose. ANTHRASIL is prepared using plasma collected from healthy, screened donors who were immunized with BioThrax® (Anthrax Vaccine Adsorbed) to achieve high titers of anti-anthrax antibody (meeting minimum potency specifications) and purified by an anion-exchange column chromatography method. The source plasma is tested by FDA licensed nucleic acid testing (NAT) for human immunodeficiency virus 1 (HIV-1), hepatitis B virus (HBV) and hepatitis C virus (HCV). Plasma also was tested by in-process NAT for hepatitis A virus (HAV) and parvovirus B19 (B19) via minipool testing; the limit for B19 in the manufacturing pool is set not to exceed 104 International Units of B19 DNA per mL. The manufacturing process contains two steps implemented specifically for virus clearance. The solvent and detergent step (using tri-n-butyl phosphate and Triton X-100) is effective in the inactivation of enveloped viruses such as HBV, HCV and HIV. Virus filtration, using a Planova 20N virus filter, is effective for the removal of viruses based on their size, including some non-enveloped viruses. These two viral clearance steps are designed to increase product safety by reducing the risk of transmission of enveloped and non-enveloped viruses. In addition to these two specific steps, the process step of anion-exchange chromatography was identified as contributing to the overall viral clearance capacity for small non-lipid enveloped viruses. The inactivation and reduction of known enveloped and non-enveloped model viruses were validated in laboratory studies as summarized in Table 2. The viruses employed for spiking studies were selected to represent those viruses that are potential contaminants in the product, and to represent a wide range of physiochemical properties in order to challenge the manufacturing process’s ability for viral clearance in general. The product potency, as determined by an in vitro toxin neutralization assay (TNA), is expressed in arbitrary units by comparison to a standard calibrated against the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Reference Serum standard. Each vial contains approximately 40 to 70 mg per mL total protein and ≥60 units of toxin neutralizing activity. The product contains ≤40 mcg per mL of immune globulin A (IgA) as well as residual amounts of solvent and detergent, which are used to inactivate lipid-enveloped viruses."

<IndicationAndUsage>TRESIBA is indicated to improve glycemic control in patients 1 year of age and older with diabetes mellitus. Limitations of Use: 1 Not recommended for the treatment of diabetic ketoacidosis.</IndicationAndUsage>

Insulin degludec is a long-acting basal human insulin analog for subcutaneous injection produced by a process that includes expression of recombinant DNA in Saccharomyces cerevisiae followed by chemical modification. Hydrochloric acid or sodium hydroxide may be added to adjust pH.

<IndicationAndUsage>ANTHRASIL is an Anthrax Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human) indicated for the treatment of inhalational anthrax in adult and pediatric patients in combination with appropriate antibacterial drugs. The effectiveness of ANTHRASIL is based solely on efficacy studies conducted in animal models of inhalational anthrax [See 13.2 Animal Toxicology and/or Pharmacology]. Limitations: 1 ANTHRASIL does not have direct antibacterial activity., 2 ANTHRASIL does not cross the blood-brain barrier and does not prevent or treat meningitis., 3 There have been no studies of ANTHRASIL in the pediatric, geriatric, or obese populations.</IndicationAndUsage>

ANTHRASIL, Anthrax Immune Globulin Intravenous (Human), is a sterile solution of purified human immune globulin G (IgG) containing polyclonal antibodies that bind the protective antigen (PA) component of Bacillus anthracis lethal and edema toxins. The product contains ≤40 mcg per mL of immune globulin A (IgA) as well as residual amounts of solvent and detergent, which are used to inactivate lipid-enveloped viruses.
