"IndicationAndUsage": "Losartan potassium tablets are angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) indicated for: : 1 Treatment of hypertension, to lower blood pressure in adults and children greater than 6 years old. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of fatal and nonfatal cardiovascular events, primarily strokes and myocardial infarctions. (1.1), 2 Reduction of the risk of stroke in patients with hypertension and left ventricular hypertrophy. There is evidence that this benefit does not apply to Black patients. (1.2), 3 Treatment of diabetic nephropathy with an elevated serum creatinine and proteinuria in patients with type 2 diabetes and a history of hypertension. (1.3).",
"Description": "Losartan potassium USP is an angiotensin II receptor blocker acting on the AT1 receptor subtype. Losartan potassium, a non-peptide molecule, is chemically described as 2-butyl-4-chloro-1-[p-(o-1Htetrazol-5ylphenyl)benzyl] imidazole-5-methanol monopotassium salt. Its empirical formula is C22H22ClKN6O, and its structural formula is. Losartan potassium USP is a white to off-white free-flowing crystalline powder with a molecular weight of 461.01. It is freely soluble in water, soluble in alcohols, and slightly soluble in common organic solvents, such as acetonitrile and methyl ethyl ketone. Oxidation of the 5-hydroxymethyl group on the imidazole ring results in the active metabolite of losartan. Losartan potassium is available as tablets for oral administration containing either 25 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg of losartan potassium USP and the following inactive ingredients: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate, corn starch, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide, D&C yellow no. 10 aluminium lake and FD&C blue no. 2 aluminium lake. Losartan potassium tablets, USP 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg contain potassium in the following amounts: 2.12 mg (0.054 mEq), 4.24 mg (0.108 mEq) and 8.48 mg (0.216 mEq), respectively."

NuvaRing is made of ethylene vinylacetate copolymers (28% and 9% vinylacetate) and magnesium stearate and contains 11.7 mg etonogestrel and 2.7 mg ethinyl estradiol. NuvaRing is not made with natural rubber latex. NuvaRing has an outer diameter of 54 mm and a cross-sectional diameter of 4 mm. The molecular weights for etonogestrel and ethinyl estradiol are 324.46 and 296.40, respectively. The structural formulas are as follows."

<IndicationAndUsage>Losartan potassium tablets are angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) indicated for: : 1 Treatment of hypertension, to lower blood pressure in adults and children greater than 6 years old. (1.3).</IndicationAndUsage>

Losartan potassium USP is an angiotensin II receptor blocker acting on the AT1 receptor subtype. Losartan potassium tablets, USP 25 mg, 50 mg and 100 mg contain potassium in the following amounts: 2.12 mg (0.054 mEq), 4.24 mg (0.108 mEq) and 8.48 mg (0.216 mEq), respectively.

<IndicationAndUsage>0.9% Sodium Chloride Irrigation, USP is indicated for use as an arthroscopic irrigating fluid with endoscopic instruments during arthroscopic procedures requiring distension and irrigation of the knee, shoulder, elbow, or other bone joints.</IndicationAndUsage>

0.9% Sodium Chloride Irrigation, USP is a sterile nonpyrogenic, isotonic solution in a single dose ARTHROMATIC plastic container for use as an arthroscopic irrigating solution. Each liter contains 9 g Sodium Chloride, USP (NaCl) in Water for Injection. pH 5.5 (4.5 to 7.0). Milliequivalents per liter: Sodium - 154, Chloride - 154. Osmolarity 308 mOsmol/L (calc.). No antimicrobial agent has been added. The ARTHROMATIC plastic container is fabricated from a specially formulated polyvinyl chloride (PL 146 Plastic). The amount of water that can permeate from inside the container into the overwrap is insufficient to affect the solution significantly. Solutions in contact with the plastic container can leach out certain of its chemical components in very small amounts within the expiration period, e.g., di-2-ethylhexylphthalate (DEHP), up to 5 parts per million. However, the safety of the plastic has been confirmed in tests in animals according to USP biological tests for plastic containers as well as by tissue culture toxicity studies.

<IndicationAndUsage>Potassium Chloride in Dextrose and Sodium Chloride Injection is indicated as a source of water, electrolytes and calories.</IndicationAndUsage>

Potassium Chloride in Dextrose and Sodium Chloride Injection, USP is a sterile, nonpyrogenic solution for fluid and electrolyte replenishment and caloric supply in a single dose container for intravenous administration. It contains no antimicrobial agents. Composition, osmolarity, pH, ionic concentration and caloric content are shown in Table 1. Dextrose is derived from corn. The VIAFLEX Plus plastic container is fabricated from a specially formulated polyvinyl chloride (PL 146 Plastic). VIAFLEX Plus on the container indicates the presence of a drug additive in a drug vehicle. The VIAFLEX Plus plastic container system utilizes the same container as the VIAFLEX plastic container system. The amount of water that can permeate from inside the container into the overwrap is insufficient to affect the solution significantly. Solutions in contact with the plastic container can leach out certain of its chemical components in very small amounts within the expiration period, e.g., di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), up to 5 parts per million. However, the safety of the plastic has been confirmed in tests in animals according to USP biological tests for plastic containers as well as by tissue culture toxicity studies.
