( 1.5) Long-term treatment of pathological hypersecretory conditions, including Zollinger-Ellison syndrome in adults. ( 1.6).",
"Description": "The active ingredient in esomeprazole magnesium delayed-release capsules, USP for oral administration is bis(5-methoxy-2-[(S)-[(4-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-2-pyridinyl)methyl]sulfinyl]-1H-benzimidazole-1-yl) magnesium trihydrate, a PPI. Esomeprazole is the S-isomer of omeprazole, which is a mixture of the S- and R- isomers. (Initial U.S. approval of esomeprazole magnesium: 2001). Its molecular formula is (C 17H 18N 3O 3S)2Mg x 3 H 2O with molecular weight of 767.2 as a trihydrate and 713.1 on an anhydrous basis. The structural formula is:. The magnesium salt is a white to slightly cream or slightly yellow colored powder. It contains 3 moles of water of solvation and is slightly soluble in water, soluble in methanol, practically insoluble in heptane. The stability of esomeprazole magnesium is a function of pH; it rapidly degrades in acidic media, but it has acceptable stability under alkaline conditions. At pH 6.8 (buffer), the half-life of the magnesium salt is about 19 hours at 25°C and about 8 hours at 37°C. Esomeprazole magnesium is supplied in delayed-release capsules. Each esomeprazole magnesium delayed-release capsule contains 20 mg of esomeprazole (equivalent to 22.3 mg esomeprazole magnesium trihydrate USP) or 40 mg of esomeprazole (equivalent to 44.5 mg esomeprazole magnesium trihydrate USP) in the form of enteric-coated granules with the following inactive ingredients: hydroxypropyl cellulose, hypromellose, magnesium stearate, methacrylic acid and ethyl acrylate copolymer dispersion, mono- and di-glycerides, polysorbate 80, simethicone emulsion, sugar spheres, talc, and triethyl citrate. Capsule shell contains FD&C Blue #1, gelatin, sodium lauryl sulfate, and titanium dioxide. In addition, capsule imprinting ink contains black iron oxide, potassium hydroxide, propylene glycol, shellac and strong ammonia solution. Meets USP Dissolution Test 2."

<Description>The active ingredient in esomeprazole magnesium delayed-release capsules, USP for oral administration is bis(5-methoxy-2-[(S)-[(4-methoxy-3,5-dimethyl-2-pyridinyl)methyl]sulfinyl]-1H-benzimidazole-1-yl) magnesium trihydrate, a PPI. Meets USP Dissolution Test 2.</Description>

<IndicationAndUsage>Hemostasis: TISSEEL is a fibrin sealant indicated for use as an adjunct to hemostasis in adult and pediatric patients undergoing surgery when control of bleeding by conventional surgical techniques (such as suture, ligature, and cautery) is ineffective or impractical. TISSEEL is effective in heparinized patients. Sealing: TISSEEL is a fibrin sealant indicated in adult and pediatric patients as an adjunct to standard surgical techniques (such as suture and ligature) to prevent leakage from colonic anastomoses following the reversal of temporary colostomies.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>TISSEEL [Fibrin Sealant] is a two-component fibrin sealant made from pooled human plasma. When combined, the two components, Sealer Protein and Thrombin mimic the final stage of the blood coagulation cascade. Sealer Protein (Human)Sealer Protein (Human) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, vapor heated and solvent/detergent treated preparation made from pooled human plasma. Sealer Protein (Human) is provided either as a freeze-dried powder for reconstitution with Aprotinin (Synthetic) solution or as a finished frozen solution pre-filled into one side of a dual-chambered syringe. The active ingredient in Sealer Protein (Human) is fibrinogen. Sealer Protein (Human) Solution contains fibrinolysis inhibitor, synthetic Aprotinin, that delays fibrinolysis. Aprotinin (Synthetic) is manufactured by solid phase synthesis from materials completely of non-human/non-animal origin. Thrombin (Human)Thrombin (Human) is a sterile, non-pyrogenic, vapor-heated and solvent/detergent treated preparation made from pooled human plasma. Thrombin (Human) is also provided either as a freeze-dried powder for reconstitution with Calcium Chloride Solution or as a finished frozen solution pre-filled into one side of a dual-chambered syringe. : 1 The reconstituted solution or pre-filled syringe contains: Sealer Protein Solution, 2 Total protein: 96 – 125 mg/mL Fibrinogen: 67 – 106 mg/mLAprotinin (Synthetic): 2250 – 3750 KIU/mLOther ingredients include: human albumin, tri-sodium citrate, histidine, niacinamide, polysorbate 80 and water for injection., 3 Thrombin Solution, 4 Thrombin (Human): 400 – 625 units/mL* Calcium Chloride: 36 – 44 µmol/mLOther ingredients include: human albumin, sodium chloride and water for injection., 5 * The potency expressed in units is determined with a clotting assay using an in-house internal standard that has been calibrated against the World Health Organization (WHO) Second International Standard for Thrombin, 01/580.
