"IndicationAndUsage": "Phenylephrine hydrochloride Injection, is indicated for the treatment of clinically important hypotension resulting primarily from vasodilation in the setting of anesthesia.",
"Description": "Phenylephrine is an alpha-1 adrenergic receptor agonist. Phenylephrine hydrochloride Injection, 10 mg/mL is a clear, colorless, sterile, non-pyrogenic solution for intravenous use. It must be diluted before administration as an intravenous bolus or continuous intravenous infusion. The chemical name of phenylephrine hydrochloride is (-)-m-hydroxy-α-[(methylamino)methyl] benzyl alcohol hydrochloride and is chemically designated as C9H14ClNO2 with a molecular weight of 203.66 g/mol. Its structural formula is depicted below. Phenylephrine hydrochloride is soluble in water and ethanol, and insoluble in chloroform and ethyl ether. Phenylephrine hydrochloride Injection, 10 mg/mL is sensitive to light. Each mL contains: phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg, sodium chloride 3.5 mg, sodium citrate dihydrate 4 mg, citric acid monohydrate 1 mg, and sodium metabisulfite 2 mg in water for injection. The pH is adjusted with sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid if necessary. The pH range is 3.5-5.5."

"IndicationAndUsage": "For symptomatic relief of anxiety and tension associated with psychoneurosis and as an adjunct in organic disease states in which anxiety is manifested. Useful in the management of pruritus due to allergic conditions such as chronic urticaria and atopic and contact dermatoses and in histamine-mediated pruritus. As a sedative when used as a premedication and following general anesthesia, hydroxyzine may potentiate meperidine and barbiturates, so their use in pre-anesthetic adjunctive therapy should be modified on an individual basis .Atropine and other belladonna alkaloids are not affected by the drug. Hydroxyzine is not known to interfere with the action of digitalis in any way and it may be used concurrently with this agent. The effectiveness of hydroxyzine as an antianxiety agent for long term use, that is more than 4 months, has not been assessed by systematic clinical studies. The physician should reassess periodically the usefulness of the drug for the individual patient.",
"Description": "Hydroxyzine hydrochloride, USP has the chemical name of 2-[2-[4-( p-Chloro-α-phenylbenzyl)-1-piperazinyl]ethoxy]ethanol dihydrochloride. C 21H 27CIN 2O 2. 2HCl M.W. 447.83. Hydroxyzine hydrochloride, USP occurs as a white, odorless powder which is very soluble in water. Each tablet for oral administration contains 10 mg, 25 mg, or 50 mg hydroxyzine hydrochloride, USP. lnactive ingredients include: carnauba wax, colloidal sllicon dioxide, crospovidone, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, talc, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Phentermine hydrochloride is indicated as a short-term (a few weeks) adjunct in a regimen of weight reduction based on exercise, behavioral modification and caloric restriction in the management of exogenous obesity for patients with an initial body mass index ≥30 kg/m2, or ≥27 kg/m2 in the presence of other risk factors (e. g., hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia). Below is a chart of Body Mass Index (BMI) based on various heights and weights. BMI is calculated by taking the patient's weight, in kilograms (kg), divided by the patient's height, in meters (m), squared. Metric conversions are as follows; pounds ÷ 2.2 = kg; inches × 0.0254 = meters. The limited usefulness of agents of this class (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY) should be measured against possible risk factors inherent in their use such as those described below.",
"Description": "Phentermine hydrochloride USP has the chemical name of α, α-Dimethylphenethylamine hydrochloride. The structural formula is as follows. Phentermine hydrochloride is a white, odorless, hygroscopic, crystalline powder which is soluble in water and lower alcohols, slightly soluble in chloroform and insoluble in ether. Phentermine hydrochloride, an anorectic agent for oral administration, is available as a tablet containing 37.5 mg of phentermine hydrochloride (equivalent to 30 mg of phentermine base). Phentermine hydrochloride tablets contain the inactive ingredients: crospovidone, dibasic calcium phosphate dihydrate, magnesium stearate, povidone, propylene glycol, FD&C Blue #1 Aluminum Lake, shellac glaze, and titanium dioxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "A single dose of KINRIX is indicated for active immunization against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, and poliomyelitis as the fifth dose in the diphtheria, tetanus, and acellular pertussis (DTaP) vaccine series and the fourth dose in the inactivated poliovirus vaccine (IPV) series in children aged 4 through 6 years (prior to the seventh birthday) whose previous DTaP vaccine doses have been with INFANRIX (Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoids and Acellular Pertussis Vaccine Adsorbed) and/or PEDIARIX [Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoids and Acellular Pertussis Adsorbed, Hepatitis B (Recombinant) and Inactivated Poliovirus Vaccine] for the first 3 doses and INFANRIX for the fourth dose.",
"Description": "KINRIX (Diphtheria and Tetanus Toxoids and Acellular Pertussis Adsorbed and Inactivated Poliovirus Vaccine) is a noninfectious, sterile, injectable suspension for intramuscular use. Each 0.5 mL dose is formulated to contain 25 Lf of diphtheria toxoid, 10 Lf of tetanus toxoid, 25 mcg of inactivated pertussis toxin (PT), 25 mcg of filamentous hemagglutinin (FHA), 8 mcg of pertactin (69 kiloDalton outer membrane protein), 40 D‑antigen Units (DU) of Type 1 poliovirus (Mahoney), 8 DU of Type 2 poliovirus (MEF‑1), and 32 DU of Type 3 poliovirus (Saukett). The diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis components of KINRIX are the same as those in INFANRIX and PEDIARIX and the poliovirus component is the same as that in PEDIARIX. The diphtheria toxin is produced by growing Corynebacterium diphtheriae (C. diphtheriae) in Fenton medium containing a bovine extract. Tetanus toxin is produced by growing Clostridium tetani (C. tetani) in a modified Latham medium derived from bovine casein. The bovine materials used in these extracts are sourced from countries which the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has determined neither have nor are at risk of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE). Both toxins are detoxified with formaldehyde, concentrated by ultrafiltration, and purified by precipitation, dialysis, and sterile filtration. The acellular pertussis antigens (PT, FHA, and pertactin) are isolated from Bordetella pertussis (B. pertussis) culture grown in modified Stainer-Scholte liquid medium. PT and FHA are isolated from the fermentation broth; pertactin is extracted from the cells by heat treatment and flocculation. The antigens are purified in successive chromatographic and precipitation steps. PT is detoxified using glutaraldehyde and formaldehyde. FHA and pertactin are treated with formaldehyde. Diphtheria and tetanus toxoids and pertussis antigens (inactivated PT, FHA, and pertactin) are individually adsorbed onto aluminum hydroxide. The inactivated poliovirus component of KINRIX is an enhanced potency component. Each of the 3 strains of poliovirus is individually grown in VERO cells, a continuous line of monkey kidney cells, cultivated on microcarriers. Calf serum and lactalbumin hydrolysate are used during VERO cell culture and/or virus culture. Calf serum is sourced from countries the USDA has determined neither have nor are at risk of BSE. After clarification, each viral suspension is purified by ultrafiltration, diafiltration, and successive chromatographic steps, and inactivated with formaldehyde. The 3 purified viral strains are then pooled to form a trivalent concentrate. Diphtheria and tetanus toxoid potency is determined by measuring the amount of neutralizing antitoxin in previously immunized guinea pigs. The potency of the acellular pertussis components (inactivated PT, FHA, and pertactin) is determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) on sera from previously immunized mice. The potency of the inactivated poliovirus component is determined by using the D-antigen ELISA and by a poliovirus-neutralizing cell culture assay on sera from previously immunized rats. Each 0.5 mL dose contains aluminum hydroxide as adjuvant (formulated to contain 0.5 mg aluminum) and ≤4.4 mg of sodium chloride. The aluminum content is measured by assay. Each dose also contains ≤100 mcg of residual formaldehyde and ≤100 mcg of polysorbate 80 (Tween 80). Neomycin sulfate and polymyxin B sulfate are used in the poliovirus vaccine manufacturing process and may be present in the final vaccine at ≤0.05 ng neomycin and ≤0.01 ng polymyxin B per dose. The tip cap and rubber plunger stopper of the prefilled syringe are not made with natural rubber latex. KINRIX does not contain a preservative."

"IndicationAndUsage": "NITHIODOTE is indicated for the treatment of acute cyanide poisoning that is judged to be serious or life-threatening. When the diagnosis of cyanide poisoning is uncertain, carefully weigh the potentially life-threatening risks associated with NITHIODOTE against the potential benefits, especially if the patient is not in extremis.",
"Description": "Sodium nitrite, one of the active ingredients in NITHIODOTE has the chemical name nitrous acid sodium salt. The chemical formula is NaNO2 and the molecular weight is 69.0. Sodium thiosulfate, the second active ingredient in NITHIODOTE has the chemical name thiosulfuric acid, disodium salt, pentahydrate. NITHIODOTE is a cyanide antidote which contains one 10 mL glass vial of a 3% solution of sodium nitrite injection and one 50 mL glass vial containing a 25% solution of sodium thiosulfate injection. Sodium nitrite injection is a sterile aqueous solution and is intended for intravenous injection. Each vial contains 300 mg of sodium nitrite in 10 mL solution (30 mg/mL). Sodium nitrite injection is a clear solution with a pH between 7.0 and 9.0. Sodium thiosulfate injection is a sterile aqueous solution and is intended for intravenous injection. Each vial contains 12.5 grams of sodium thiosulfate in 50 mL solution (250 mg/mL). Each mL also contains 2.8 mg boric acid and 4.4 mg of potassium chloride. The pH of the solution is adjusted with boric acid and/or sodium hydroxide. Sodium thiosulfate injection is a clear solution with a pH between 7.5 and 9.0."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Cyclobenzaprine HCl tablets USP are indicated as an adjunct to rest and physical therapy for relief of muscle spasm associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions. Improvement is manifested by relief of muscle spasm and its associated signs and symptoms, namely, pain, tenderness, limitation of motion, and restriction in activities of daily living. Cyclobenzaprine HCl should be used only for short periods (up to two or three weeks) because adequate evidence of effectiveness for more prolonged use is not available and because muscle spasm associated with acute, painful musculoskeletal conditions is generally of short duration and specific therapy for longer periods is seldom warranted. Cyclobenzaprine HCl has not been found effective in the treatment of spasticity associated with cerebral or spinal cord disease, or in children with cerebral palsy.",
"Description": "Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride, USP is a white, crystalline tricyclic amine salt with the empirical formula C20H21NHCl and a molecular weight of 311.9. It has a melting point of 217˚C, and a pKa of 8.47 at 25˚C. It is freely soluble in water and alcohol, sparingly soluble in isopropanol, and insoluble in hydrocarbon solvents. If aqueous solutions are made alkaline, the free base separates. Cyclobenzaprine HCl, USP is designated chemically as 3-(5H –dibenzo[a,d]cyclohepten-5-ylidene)-N, N-dimethyl-1-propanamine hydrochloride, and has the following structural formula. Cyclobenzaprine HCl USP, 5 mg is supplied as a 5 mg tablet for oral administration. Cyclobenzaprine HCl USP, 10 mg is supplied as a 10 mg tablet for oral administration. Cyclobenzaprine HCl tablets USP, 5 mg contain the following inactive ingredients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinized starch, colloidal silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate and opadry beige (hypromellose 6cP, titanium dioxide, PEG 400, iron oxide yellow and iron oxide red). "IndicationAndUsage": "Oxacillin is indicated in the treatment of infections caused by penicillinase producing staphylococci which have demonstrated susceptibility to the drug. Cultures and susceptibility tests should be performed initially to determine the causative organism and its susceptibility to the drug (see CLINICAL PHARMACOLOGY-Susceptibility Testing). Oxacillin may be used to initiate therapy in suspected cases of resistant staphylococcal infections prior to the availability of susceptibility test results. Oxacillin should not be used in infections caused by organisms susceptible to penicillin G. If the susceptibility tests indicate that the infection is due to an organism other than a resistant Staphylococcus, therapy should not be continued with oxacillin. To reduce the development of drug-resistant bacteria and maintain the effectiveness of Oxacillin for Injection, USP and other antibacterial drugs, Oxacillin for Injection, USP should be used only to treat or prevent infections that are proven or strongly suspected to be caused by susceptible bacteria. When culture and susceptibility information are available, they should be considered in selecting or modifying antibacterial therapy. In the absence of such data, local epidemiology and susceptibility patterns may contribute to the empiric selection of therapy.",
"Description": "Oxacillin for Injection, USP is a semisynthetic penicillin antibiotic derived from the penicillin nucleus, 6-amino-penicillanic acid. It is resistant to inactivation by the enzyme penicillinase (beta-lactamase). It is the sodium salt in parenteral dosage form for intramuscular or intravenous use. Each vial of Oxacillin for Injection, USP contains oxacillin sodium monohydrate equivalent to 1 gram or 2 grams of oxacillin. The sodium content is 64 mg (2.8 mEq) per gram oxacillin. The product is buffered with 21 mg dibasic sodium phosphate per gram oxacillin. Oxacillin for Injection, USP is white to off white powder and gives a clear solution upon reconstitution. OXACILLIN SODIUM. The chemical name of oxacillin sodium is 4-Thia-1-azabicyclo [3.2.0]heptane-2-carboxylic acid, 3,3-dimethyl-6-[[(5-methyl-3-phenyl-4-isoxazolyl) carbonyl]-amino]-7-oxo-, monosodium salt, monohydrate, [2S(2α,5α,6β)]-. It is resistant to inactivation by the enzyme penicillinase (beta-lactamase). The molecular formula of oxacillin sodium is C19H18N3NaO5S H2O. The molecular weight is 441.44."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Prednisone Tablets, USP are indicated in the following conditions. 1. Endocrine Disorders. "Description": "Prednisone is a glucocorticoid. Glucocorticoids are adrenocortical steroids, both naturally occurring and synthetic, which are readily absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. Prednisone is a white to practically white, odorless, crystalline powder. It is very slightly soluble in water; slightly soluble in alcohol, in chloroform, in dioxane, and in methanol. The chemical name for prednisone is pregna-1, 4-diene-3, 11, 20-trione, 17, 21-dihydroxy-. The structural formula is represented below. Molecular weight: 358.44. Prednisone Tablets, USP are available in three strengths: 5 mg, 10 mg, and 20 mg. In addition, each tablet contains the following Inactive Ingredients: Lactose Monohydrate, Magnesium Stearate, Pregelatinized Starch, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Starch Glycolate. Also Prednisone Tablets USP, 20 mg contains FD & C yellow #6 aluminum lake HT 15-18%."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Cyanocobalamin is indicated for Vitamin B12 deficiencies due to malabsorption which may be associated with the following conditions. Addisonian (pernicious) anemia. Gastrointestinal pathology, dysfunction, or surgery, including gluten enteropathy or sprue, small bowel bacterial overgrowth, total or partial gastrectomy. Fish tapeworm infestation. Malignancy of pancreas or bowel. Folic acid deficiency. It may be possible to treat the underlying disease by surgical correction of anatomic lesions leading to small bowel bacterial overgrowth, expulsion of fish tapeworm, discontinuation of drugs leading to vitamin malabsorption (see Drug/Laboratory Test Interactions), use of a gluten-free diet in nontropical sprue, or administration of antibiotics in tropical sprue. Such measures remove the need for long-term administration of cyanocobalamin. Requirements of Vitamin B12 in excess of normal (due to pregnancy, thyrotoxicosis, hemolytic anemia, hemorrhage, malignancy, hepatic and renal disease) can usually be met with oral supplementation. Cyanocobalamin injection is also suitable for the Vitamin B12 absorption test (Schilling test).",
"Description": "Cyanocobalamin Injection, USP is a sterile solution of cyanocobalamin for intramuscular or subcutaneous use. Each mL contains 1,000 mcg cyanocobalamin; sodium chloride 0.9%; benzyl alcohol 1.5%; Water for Injection q.s.; Hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide for pH adjustment if necessary (4.5-7.0). Cyanocobalamin appears as dark, red crystals or as an amorphous or crystalline, red powder. It is very hygroscopic in the anhydrous form, and sparingly soluble in water (1:80). It is stable to autoclaving for short periods at 121°C. The Vitamin B12 coenzymes are very unstable in light. The chemical name is 5,6-dimethyl-benzimidazolyl cyanocobamide. The cobalt content is 4.34%. The structural formula is represented below."

"Description": "Epinastine HCl Ophthalmic Solution 0.05% is a clear, colorless, sterile isotonic solution containing epinastine HCl, an antihistamine and an inhibitor of histamine release from the mast cell for topical administration to the eyes. Epinastine HCl is represented by the following structural formula. C16H15N3HCl Mol. Wt. 285.78. Chemical Name: 3-Amino-9,13b-dihydro-1H-dibenz[c,f]imidazo [1,5-a]azepine hydrochloride. Each mL contains: Active: epinastine HCl 0.05% (0.5 mg/mL) equivalent to epinastine 0.044% (0.44 mg/mL); Preservative: benzalkonium chloride 0.01%; Inactives: edetate disodium; water for injection; sodium chloride; sodium phosphate, monobasic; and sodium hydroxide and/or hydrochloric acid (to adjust pH). Epinastine HCl has a pH of approximately 7 and an osmolality range of 250 to 310 mOsm/kg."

"IndicationAndUsage": "In Anesthesia. Glycopyrrolate Injection is indicated for use as a preoperative antimuscarinic to reduce salivary, tracheobronchial, and pharyngeal secretions; to reduce the volume and free acidity of gastric secretions; and to block cardiac vagal inhibitory reflexes during induction of anesthesia and intubation. When indicated, Glycopyrrolate Injection may be used intraoperatively to counteract surgically or drug‑induced or vagal reflexes associated arrhythmias. Glycopyrrolate protects against the peripheral muscarinic effects (e.g., bradycardia and excessive secretions) of cholinergic agents such as neostigmine and pyridostigmine given to reverse the neuromuscular blockade due to non-depolarizing muscle relaxants. In Peptic Ulcer. For use in adults as adjunctive therapy for the treatment of peptic ulcer when rapid anticholinergic effect is desired or when oral medication is not tolerated.",
"Description": "Glycopyrrolate Injection is a synthetic anticholinergic agent. Each 1 mL contains. Glycopyrrolate, USP 0.2 mg. Water for Injection, USP q.s. Benzyl Alcohol, NF 0.9% (preservative). pH adjusted, when necessary, with hydrochloric acid and/or sodium hydroxide. For Intramuscular (IM) or Intravenous (IV) administration. Glycopyrrolate is a quaternary ammonium salt with the following chemical name:. 3[(cyclopentylhydroxyphenylacetyl)oxy]-1,1-dimethyl pyrrolidinium bromide. The molecular formula is C19H28BrNO3 and the molecular weight is 398.33.Its structural formula is as follows. Glycopyrrolate occurs as a white, odorless crystalline powder. It is soluble in water and alcohol, and practically insoluble in chloroform and ether.Unlike atropine, glycopyrrolate is completely ionized at physiological pH values. Glycopyrrolate Injection is a clear, colorless, sterile liquid; pH 2.0 – 3.0. The partition coefficient of glycopyrrolate in a n-octanol/water system is 0.304 (log10 P = -1.52) at ambient room temperature (24°C)."

"IndicationAndUsage": "A. Intravenous or intramuscular administration. When oral therapy is not feasible and the strength, dosage form, and route of administration of the drug reasonably lend the preparation to the treatment of the condition, those products labeled for intravenous or intramuscular use are indicated as follows. 1. Endocrine disorders. Primary or secondary adrenocortical insufficiency (hydrocortisone or cortisone is the drug of choice; synthetic analogs may be used in conjunction with mineralocorticoids where applicable; in infancy, mineralocorticoid supplementation is of particular importance). Acute adrenocortical insufficiency (hydrocortisone or cortisone is the drug of choice; mineralocorticoid supplementation may be necessary, particularly when synthetic analogs are used). Preoperatively, and in the event of serious trauma or illness, in patients with known adrenal insufficiency or when adrenocortical reserve is doubtful. Shock unresponsive to conventional therapy if adrenocortical insufficiency exists or is suspected. Congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Nonsuppurative thyroiditis. Hypercalcemia associated with cancer. 2. Rheumatic disorders. As adjunctive therapy for short-term administration (to tide the patient over an acute episode or exacerbation) in:. Post-traumatic osteoarthritis. Synovitis of osteoarthritis. Rheumatoid arthritis, including juvenile rheumatoid arthritis (selected cases may require low-dose maintenance therapy). Acute and subacute bursitis. Epicondylitis. Acute nonspecific tenosynovitis. Acute gouty arthritis. Psoriatic arthritis. Ankylosing spondylitis. 3. Collagen diseases. During an exacerbation or as maintenance therapy in selected cases of:. Systemic lupus erythematosus. Acute rheumatic carditis. 4. Dermatologic diseases. Pemphigus. Severe erythema multiforme (Stevens-Johnson Syndrome). Exfoliative dermatitis. Bullous dermatitis herpetiformis. Severe seborrheic dermatitis. Severe psoriasis. Mycosis fungoides. 5. Allergic states. Control of severe or incapacitating allergic conditions intractable to adequate. trials of conventional treatment in:. Bronchial asthma. Contact dermatitis. Atopic dermatitis. Serum sickness. Diffuse posterior uveitis and choroiditis. Optic neuritis. Sympathetic ophthalmia. Anterior segment inflammation. Allergic conjunctivitis. Allergic corneal marginal ulcers. Keratitis. 7. Gastrointestinal diseases. To tide the patient over a critical period of the disease in:. Ulcerative colitis (systemic therapy). Regional enteritis (systemic therapy). 8. Respiratory diseases. Symptomatic Sarcoidosis. Berylliosis. Fulminating or disseminated pulmonary tuberculosis when used concurrently with appropriate. anti-tuberculosis chemotherapy. Loeffler's syndrome not manageable by other means. Aspiration pneumonitis. 9. Hematologic disorders. Acquired (autoimmune) hemolytic anemia. Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura in adults (I.V. only; I.M. administration is contraindicated). Secondary thrombocytopenia in adults. Erythroblastopenia (RBC anemia). Congenital (erythroid) hypoplastic anemia. 10. Neoplastic diseases. For palliative management of:. Leukemias and lymphomas in adults. Acute leukemic of childhood. 11. Edematous states. "Description": "Dexamethasone sodium phosphate injection, USP is a water-soluble inorganic ester of dexamethasone which produces a rapid response even when injected intramuscularly. Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate, C22H28FNa2O8P, has a molecular weight of 516.41 and chemically is Pregn-4-ene-3, 20-dione, 9-fluoro-11, 17-dihydroxy-16-methyl-21 (phosphonooxy)-, disodium salt, (11β, 16α). It occurs as a white to practically white powder, is exceedingly hygroscopic, is soluble in water and its solutions have a pH between 7.5 and 9.5. It has the following structural formula. Each mL of Dexamethasone Sodium Phosphate Injection, USP (Preserved) 10 mg/mL contains dexamethasone sodium phosphate, USP equivalent to 10 mg dexamethasone phosphate; 13.5 mg sodium citrate, dihydrate; 10 mg benzyl alcohol; and Water for Injection, q.s. pH adjusted with citric acid or sodium hydroxide, if necessary. pH: 7.0 to 8.5."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution is indicated for the reduction of elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension who are insufficiently responsive to beta-blockers (failed to achieve target IOP determined after multiple measurements over time). The IOP-lowering of dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution administered twice a day was slightly less than that seen with the concomitant administration of 0.5% timolol administered twice a day and 2% dorzolamide administered three times a day [see Clinical Studies (14)].",

Dorzolamide hydrochloride USP is described chemically as: (4S-trans)-4- (ethylamino)- 5,6-dihydro-6-methyl-4H-thieno[2,3-b]thiopyran-2-sulfonamide 7,7-dioxide monohydrochloride. Dorzolamide hydrochloride USP is optically active. The specific rotation is:. [α] 25°C (C=1, water) = ~ −17°. 405 nm. Its empirical formula is C10H16N2O4S3HCl and its structural formula is. Dorzolamide hydrochloride USP has a molecular weight of 360.91. It is a white to off -white, crystalline powder, which is soluble in water and slightly soluble in methanol and ethanol. Timolol maleate USP is described chemically as: (-)-1-(tert-butylamino)-3-[(4-morpholino-1,2,5-thiadiazol-3-yl)oxy]-2-propanol maleate (1:1) (salt). Timolol maleate possesses an asymmetric carbon atom in its structure and is provided as the levo-isomer. The optical rotation of timolol maleate USP is:. [α] 25°C in 1N HCl (C = 5) = −12.2°(-11.7° to -12.5°). 405 nm. Its molecular formula is C13H24N4O3SC4H4O4 and its structural formula is. Timolol maleate USP has a molecular weight of 432.50. It is a white, odorless, crystalline powder which is soluble in water, methanol, and alcohol. Timolol maleate USP is stable at room temperature. Dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution USP is supplied as a sterile, clear, colorless to nearly colorless, isotonic, buffered, slightly viscous, aqueous solution. The pH of the solution is approximately 5.65, and the osmolarity is 242 to 323 mOsM. Each mL of dorzolamide hydrochloride and timolol maleate ophthalmic solution USP contains 20 mg dorzolamide (equivalent to 22.26 mg of dorzolamide hydrochloride USP) and 5 mg timolol (equivalent to 6.83 mg timolol maleate USP). Inactive ingredients are sodium citrate dihydrate, hydroxyethyl cellulose, sodium hydroxide, mannitol, and water for injection. Benzalkonium chloride 0.0075% is added as a preservative."

"Description": "Ropivacaine hydrochloride injection, USP is a sterile, isotonic solution that contains ropivacaine hydrochloride as the active pharmaceutical ingredient. Ropivacaine hydrochloride is a member of the amino amide class of local anesthetics. Ropivacaine hydrochloride injection, USP is administered parenterally by for infiltration, epidural, and nerve block. Ropivacaine hydrochloride is chemically described as S-(-)-1-propyl-2',6'-pipecoloxylidide hydrochloride monohydrate. The drug substance is a white crystalline powder, with the following structural formula. C17H26N2OHClH2O M.W. 328.89. At 25°C ropivacaine hydrochloride has a solubility of 53.8 mg/mL in water, a distribution ratio between n-octanol and phosphate buffer at pH 7.4 of 14:1 and a pKa of 8.07 in 0.1 M KCl solution. The pKa of ropivacaine is approximately the same as bupivacaine (8.1) and is similar to that of mepivacaine (7.7). However, ropivacaine has an intermediate degree of lipid solubility compared to bupivacaine and mepivacaine. Ropivacaine hydrochloride injection, USP is a clear, colorless, and preservative-free solution. Each mL contains 2.1 mg, 5.3 mg, 7.9 mg or 10.6 mg ropivacaine hydrochloride monohydrate (equivalent to 2 mg, 5 mg, 7.5 mg or 10 mg of ropivacaine hydrochloride anhydrous) and 8.6 mg, 8.0 mg, 7.5 mg or 7.1 mg of sodium chloride; respectively, and sodium hydroxide and hydrochloric acid as pH adjusters, in water for injection. The pH is adjusted between 4.0 to 6.0. The specific gravity of ropivacaine hydrochloride injection, USP solutions range from 1.002 to 1.005 at 25°C."
