"Description": "Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets are extended-release tablets for oral administration that contain venlafaxine hydrochloride, a structurally novel antidepressant. Venlafaxine hydrochloride is a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI). It is designated (R/S)-1-[2-(dimethylamino)-1-(4-methoxyphenyl)ethyl] cyclohexanol hydrochloride or (±)-1-[α-[(dimethylamino)methyl]-p-methoxybenzyl] cyclohexanol hydrochloride and has the molecular formula of C17H27NO2HCl. Its molecular weight is 313.87. The structural formula is shown below. Venlafaxine hydrochloride is a white to off-white crystalline solid with a solubility of 572 mg/mL in water (adjusted to ionic strength of 0.2 M with sodium chloride). Its octanol:water (0.2 M sodium chloride) partition coefficient is 0.43. Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets are formulated as an extended-release tablet for once-a-day oral administration. Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets use a hydrogel-based technology to deliver venlafaxine hydrochloride at a controlled rate over approximately 24 hours. The system comprises of a bilayer tablet surrounded by a partially permeable coat. The bilayer tablet core consists of one colored swellable layer and a second drug containing layer. On contact of tablet with aqueous medium, the soluble components of the partially permeable membrane dissolve. Imbibition of the aqueous medium by the swellable layer causes it to swell rapidly. This exerts mechanical pressure on the coating causing it to rupture. The coating is removed from the swellable layer side only to expose a pre-defined surface area from which release of the drug occurs. The controlled rate of drug delivery is a function of controlled surface area and the excipients of the drug layer. The biologically inert fragments of the coating may remain intact and may be eliminated in the feces. Each extended-release coated bilayer tablet contains venlafaxine hydrochloride, USP equivalent to 37.5 mg, 75 mg, 150 mg, or 225 mg venlafaxine. Inactive ingredients consist of hypromellose, povidone, lactose monohydrate, methacrylic acid copolymer, talc, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, colloidal silicon dioxide, sodium lauryl sulfate, FD & C Red No. 40 Aluminum Lake, ethyl cellulose aqueous dispersion, mannitol, dibutyl sebacate, triethyl citrate, polysorbate 20, polyethylene glycol, polysorbate 80, and polyvinyl alcohol. Imprinting ink contains shellac glaze, isopropyl alcohol, iron oxide black, N-butyl alcohol, propylene glycol and ammonium hydroxide."

"IndicationAndUsage": "Hypertension: Captopril tablets, USP are indicated for the treatment of hypertension. In using captopril, consideration should be given to the risk of neutropenia/agranulocytosis (see WARNINGS). Captopril may be used as initial therapy for patients with normal renal function, in whom the risk is relatively low. In patients with impaired renal function, particularly those with collagen vascular disease, captopril should be reserved for hypertensives who have either developed unacceptable side effects on other drugs, or have failed to respond satisfactorily to drug combinations. Captopril is effective alone and in combination with other antihypertensive agents, especially thiazide-type diuretics. The blood pressure lowering effects of captopril and thiazides are approximately additive. Heart Failure: Captopril tablets are indicated in the treatment of congestive heart failure usually in combination with diuretics and digitalis. The beneficial effect of captopril in heart failure does not require the presence of digitalis, however, most controlled clinical trial experience with captopril has been in patients receiving digitalis, as well as diuretic treatment. Left Ventricular Dysfunction After Myocardial Infarction: Captopril tablets are indicated to improve survival following myocardial infarction in clinically stable patients with left ventricular dysfunction manifested as an ejection fraction ≤40% and to reduce the incidence of overt heart failure and subsequent hospitalizations for congestive heart failure in these patients. Diabetic Nephropathy: Captopril tablets are indicated for the treatment of diabetic nephropathy (proteinuria > 500 mg/day) in patients with type I insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and retinopathy. Captopril tablets decreases the rate of progression of renal insufficiency and development of serious adverse clinical outcomes (death or need for renal transplantation or dialysis). In considering use of captopril tablets, it should be noted that in controlled trials ACE inhibitors have an effect on blood pressure that is less in black patients than in non-blacks. In addition, ACE inhibitors (for which adequate data are available) cause a higher rate of angioedema in black than in non-black patients (see WARNINGS: Head and Neck Angioedema and Intestinal Angioedema).",

<IndicationAndUsage>Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets are a selective serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor (SNRI) indicated for.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Venlafaxine hydrochloride extended-release tablets are extended-release tablets for oral administration that contain venlafaxine hydrochloride, a structurally novel antidepressant. Imprinting ink contains shellac glaze, isopropyl alcohol, iron oxide black, N-butyl alcohol, propylene glycol and ammonium hydroxide.</Description>

<IndicationAndUsage>Hypertension: Captopril tablets, USP are indicated for the treatment of hypertension. In addition, ACE inhibitors (for which adequate data are available) cause a higher rate of angioedema in black than in non-black patients (see WARNINGS: Head and Neck Angioedema and Intestinal Angioedema).</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Captopril tablets, USP are a specific competitive inhibitor of angiotensin I-converting enzyme (ACE), the enzyme responsible for the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II. Captopril is designated chemically as 1-[(2S)-3-mercapto-2-methylpropionyl]-L-proline. Molecular formula C9H15NO3S [MW 217.29] and has the following structural formula. Captopril is a white to off-white, crystalline powder, which may have a characterstic, sulfide-like odor. Melts in the range of 104°C to 110°C. 0.3 g soluble in 10mLof water, methanol, ethanol and chloroform. Each scored tablet, for oral administration, contains 12.5 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg or 100 mg of captopril. <IndicationAndUsage>Hypertension: Captopril tablets, USP are indicated for the treatment of hypertension.
<IndicationAndUsage>Sildenafil for Oral Suspension is indicated for the treatment of pulmonary arterial hypertension (WHO Group I) in adults to improve exercise ability and delay clinical worsening. The delay in clinical worsening was demonstrated when Sildenafil for Oral Suspension was added to background epoprostenol therapy [see Clinical Studies (14)]. Studies establishing effectiveness were short-term (12 to 16 weeks), and included predominately patients with New York Heart Association (NYHA) Functional Class II–III symptoms and idiopathic etiology (71%) or associated with connective tissue disease (CTD) (25%).</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Sildenafil for Oral Suspension, phosphodiesterase-5 (PDE-5) inhibitor, is the citrate salt of sildenafil, a selective inhibitor of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP)-specific phosphodiesterase type-5 (PDE-5). Sildenafil is also marketed as VIAGRA® for erectile dysfunction. Sildenafil citrate is designated chemically as 1-[[3-(6,7-dihydro-1-methyl-7-oxo-3-propyl-1H-pyrazolo [4,3-d] pyrimidin-5-yl)-4-ethoxyphenyl] sulfonyl]-4-methylpiperazine citrate and has the following structural formula. Sildenafil citrate is a white to off-white crystalline powder with a solubility of 3.5 mg/mL in water and a molecular weight of 666.7. Sildenafil for Oral Suspension is supplied as white to off-white powders containing 1.57 g of sildenafil citrate (equivalent to 1.12 g sildenafil) in an amber glass bottle intended for reconstitution. Following reconstitution with 90 mL water, the volume of the oral suspension is 112 mL and the oral suspension contains 10 mg/mL sildenafil. The inactive ingredients include sorbitol, citric acid anhydrous, sucralose, sodium citrate dihydrate, xanthan gum, titanium dioxide, sodium benzoate, colloidal silicon dioxide anhydrous and grape flavor. In addition to the bottle, a press-in bottle adapter and an oral dosing syringe (with 0.5 mL and 2 mL dose markings) are provided.</Description>

<IndicationAndUsage>In AnesthesiaGlycopyrrolate injection is indicated for use as a preoperative antimuscarinic to reduce salivary, tracheobronchial, and pharyngeal secretions; to reduce the volume and free acidity of gastric secretions; and to block cardiac vagal inhibitory reflexes during induction of anesthesia and intubation. When indicated, Glycopyrrolate injection may be used intraoperatively to counteract surgically or drug-induced or vagal reflexes associated arrhythmias. Glycopyrrolate protects against the peripheral muscarinic effects (e.g., bradycardia and excessive secretions) of cholinergic agents such as neostigmine and pyridostigmine given to reverse the neuromuscular blockade due to non-depolarizing muscle relaxants. In Peptic UlcerFor use in adults as adjunctive therapy for the treatment of peptic ulcer when rapid anticholinergic effect is desired or when oral medication is not tolerated.</IndicationAndUsage>
