"IndicationAndUsage": "Budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate inhalation aerosol is a combination product containing a corticosteroid and a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist indicated for: 1 Treatment of asthma in patients 6 years of age and older. (1.1), 2 Maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction and reducing exacerbations in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) including chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema. (1.2).",
"Description": "Budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate inhalation aerosol 80/4.5 mcg and 160/4.5 mcg each contain micronized budesonide, USP and micronized formoterol fumarate dihydrate, USP for oral inhalation only. Each budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate inhalation aerosol 80/4.5 and budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate inhalation aerosol 160/4.5 canister is formulated as a hydrofluoroalkane (HFA 227; 1,1,1,2,3,3,3-heptafluoropropane)-propelled pressurized metered dose inhaler containing 120 actuations [see Dosage Forms and Strengths (3) and How Supplied/Storage and Handling (16)]. After priming, each actuation meters either 89/5.0 mcg or 177/5.0 mcg from the valve and delivers either 80/4.5 mcg, or 160/4.5 mcg (budesonide micronized/formoterol fumarate dihydrate micronized) from the actuator. The actual amount of drug delivered to the lung may depend on patient factors, such as the coordination between actuation of the device and inspiration through the delivery system. Budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate inhalation aerosol also contains povidone K25 as a suspending agent and polyethylene glycol 1000 as a lubricant. Budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate inhalation aerosol should be primed before using for the first time by releasing two test sprays into the air away from the face, shaking well for 5 seconds before each spray. In cases where the inhaler has not been used for more than 7 days or when it has been dropped, prime the inhaler again by shaking well for 5 seconds before each spray and releasing two test sprays into the air away from the face. One active component of budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate inhalation aerosol is budesonide USP, a corticosteroid designated chemically as (RS)-11β, 16α, 17,21-Tetrahydroxypregna-1,4-diene-3,20-dione cyclic 16,17-acetal with butyraldehyde. Budesonide, USP is provided as a mixture of two epimers (22R and 22S). The molecular formula of budesonide, USP is C25H34O6 and its molecular weight is 430.5. Its structural formula is. Budesonide, USP is a white to off-white, tasteless, odorless powder which is practically insoluble in water and in heptane, sparingly soluble in ethanol, and freely soluble in chloroform. Its partition coefficient between octanol and water at pH 7.4 is 1.6 x 103. The other active component of budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate inhalation aerosol is formoterol fumarate dihydrate USP, a selective beta2-agonist designated chemically as (R*,R*)-(±)-N-[2-hydroxy-5- [1-hydroxy-2-[[2-(4-methoxyphenyl)-1- methylethyl]amino]ethyl]phenyl]formamide, (E)-2-butendioate(2:1), dihydrate. The molecular formula of formoterol fumarate dihydrate, USP is C42H56N4O14 and its molecular weight is 840.9. Its structural formula is. Formoterol fumarate dihydrate, USP is a powder which is slightly soluble in water. Its octanol-water partition coefficient at pH 7.4 is 2.6. The pKa of formoterol fumarate dihydrate at 25°C is 7.9 for the phenolic group and 9.2 for the amino group."

"IndicationAndUsage": "This fixed combination drug is not indicated for the initial therapy of edema or hypertension except in individuals in whom the development of hypokalemia cannot be risked. Triamterene and hydrochlorothiazide capsules, USP are indicated for the treatment of hypertension or edema in patients who develop hypokalemia on hydrochlorothiazide alone. Triamterene and hydrochlorothiazide capsules, USP are also indicated for those patients who require a thiazide diuretic and in whom the development of hypokalemia cannot be risked. Triamterene and hydrochlorothiazide capsules, USP may be used alone or as an adjunct to other antihypertensive drugs, such as beta-blockers. Since triamterene and hydrochlorothiazide capsules, USP may enhance the action of these agents, dosage adjustments may be necessary. Usage in Pregnancy: The routine use of diuretics in an otherwise healthy woman is inappropriate and exposes mother and fetus to unnecessary hazard. Diuretics do not prevent development of toxemia of pregnancy, and there is no satisfactory evidence that they are useful in the treatment of developed toxemia. Edema during pregnancy may arise from pathological causes or from the physiologic and mechanical consequences of pregnancy. Diuretics are indicated in pregnancy when edema is due to pathologic causes, just as they are in the absence of pregnancy. Dependent edema in pregnancy resulting from restriction of venous return by the expanded uterus is properly treated through elevation of the lower extremities and use of support hose; use of diuretics to lower intravascular volume in this case is illogical and unnecessary. There is hypervolemia during normal pregnancy which is harmful to neither the fetus nor the mother (in the absence of cardiovascular disease), but which is associated with edema, including generalized edema in the majority of pregnant women. If this edema produces discomfort, increased recumbency will often provide relief. In rare instances this edema may cause extreme discomfort which is not relieved by rest. In these cases a short course of diuretics may provide relief and may be appropriate.",

<IndicationAndUsage>Budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate inhalation aerosol is a combination product containing a corticosteroid and a long-acting beta2-adrenergic agonist indicated for: 1 Treatment of asthma in patients 6 years of age and older. (1.1), 2 Maintenance treatment of airflow obstruction and reducing exacerbations in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) including chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema. (1.2).</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Budesonide and formoterol fumarate dihydrate inhalation aerosol 80/4.5 mcg and 160/4.5 mcg each contain micronized budesonide, USP and micronized formoterol fumarate dihydrate, USP for oral inhalation only. <IndicationAndUsage>Allergenic extracts are indicated for use in diagnostic testing and as part of a treatment regime for allergic disease, as established by allergy history and skin test reactivity. Allergenic extracts are indicated for the treatment of allergen specific allergic disease for use as hyposensitization or immunotherapy when avoidance of specific allergens can not be attained. The use of allergenic extracts for therapeutic purpose has been established by well-controlled clinical studies. Allergenic extracts may be used as adjunctive therapy along with pharmacotherapy which includes antihistamines, corticosteroids, and cromoglycate, and avoidance measures. Allergenic extracts for therapeutic use should be given using only the allergen selection to which the patient is allergic, has a history of exposure and are likely to be exposed to again.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Allergenic extracts are sterile solutions consisting of the extractable components from various biological sources including pollens, inhalants, molds, animal epidermals and insects. Aqueous extracts are prepared using cocas fluid containing NaCl 0.5%, NaHCO3 0.0275%, WFI, preservative 0.4% Phenol. Glycerinated allergenic extracts are prepared with cocas fluid and glycerin to produce a 50% (v/v) allergenic extract. Allergenic Extracts are supplied as concentrations designated as protein nitrogen units (PNU) or weight/volume (w/v) ratio. Standardized extracts are designated in Bioequivalent Allergy Units (BAU) or Allergy Units (AU). (See product insert for standardized extracts). For diagnostic purposes, allergenic extracts are to be administered by prick-puncture or intradermal routes. Allergenic extracts are administered subcutaneously for immunotherapy injections.</Description>

<IndicationAndUsage>This fixed combination drug is not indicated for the initial therapy of edema or hypertension except in individuals in whom the development of hypokalemia cannot be risked. In these cases a short course of diuretics may provide relief and may be appropriate.</IndicationAndUsage>
<Description>Each triamterene and hydrochlorothiazide capsule for oral use contains triamterene 37.5 mg and hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic/antihypertensive agent and triamterene is an antikaliuretic agent. Hydrochlorothiazide is slightly soluble in water. It is soluble in dilute ammonia, dilute aqueous sodium hydroxide, and dimethylformamide. It is sparingly soluble in methanol. Hydrochlorothiazide is 6-chloro-3,4-dihydro-2 H-1, 2, 4-benzothiadiazine-7- sulfonamide 1,1-dioxide, and its structural formula is:. Molecular Formula: C 7H 8CIN 3O 4S 2 M.W. 297.74. At 50°C, triamterene is practically insoluble in water (less than 0.1%). It is soluble in formic acid, sparingly soluble in methoxyethanol, and very slightly soluble in alcohol. Triamterene is 2, 4, 7-triamino-6-phenylpteridine and its structural formula is. Molecular Formula: C 12H 11N 7 M.W. 253.26. Inactive ingredients consist of lactose monohydrate, pregelatinized starch, sodium starch glycolate, polysorbate 80, citric acid anhydrous, povidone, and magnesium stearate. The capsule shell consists of titanium dioxide and gelatin. The capsule imprinting ink consists of shellac glaze in ethanol, iron oxide black, n-butyl alcohol, propylene glycol, ethanol, methanol, FD&C Blue # 2 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Red # 40 Aluminum Lake, FD&C Blue # 1 Aluminum Lake, and D&C Yellow # 10 Aluminum Lake. Triamterene and hydrochlorothiazide capsules, USP meet USP Dissolution Test 3 as published in the current USP monograph for triamterene and hydrochlorothiazide capsules.</Description>
